franchasng: Thats not how indictments work in the USA. You cant explain or provide any document to make them kill the indicment.. This isnt EFCC.. Evidence or no evidence, the falsification of documents is called bank fraud, subject to prison term.. How dont you people understand.. USA govt spent years investigation this case and they will go to court or he pleads guilty.. Those are only two options for an indictment.. Let me explain how USA laws work and what this means for Onyeama. I will also expalain what will happen next and what his options are. Read all through.. Ive lived in USA whole life. 1. Ok, so first of all, faking any kind of documents including fake LC and giving it to any USA bank is called bank fraud which is 20 years in prison(unless maybe you plead guilty and get lesser time) 2. US DOJ/FBI have a conviction rate of damn near 99% because they will only indict you when there's enough evidence for a jury of your peers to convinct you. They do thorough research and indict you with enough supporting documents that you dont want to go to trial and lose, you rather plead guilty and get maybe 5 years instead of 20. 3. Bank Fraud i believe is 20 years if you go to trial, Money laundering should vbe same. 4. This isnt Nigeria EFCC. People need to stop saying he didn't commit a crime. He committed a crime in the USA. The moment you LIE on any loan documents, bank documents, etc, its fraud.. 5. Theres a reason people can get a 30 year mortgage in USA for a house at under 4% without collateral. There's a reason you can go to USA and buy a $50,000 car and finance it at 5% for 7 years as an 18 year old without colleteral. Guess what the reason is? USA protects their banking system like a baby. If you apply for a loan and lie on any part of the loan, it becomes bank fraud automatically. 6. The DOJ will seek to extradite him to USA to face trial. Its what they do for all indicments. 7. Onyeama will not want to face trial, as there is a 99% chance he will be found guilty as I earlier mentioned. He will also not want to take a plea bargain as that will mean jail time of some sort.. USA imprisons the top rich/most powerful people.. They dont care. 8. The attorneys who work for DOJ and USA arent corrupt. They dont care who you are. Their only job is to protect american interests and they swore to serve the USA. Governors, Mayors, Rich powerful men, have all gone to jail in USA. 9. If Onyeama fights the extradition and refuses to come to USA, they will flag him as a wanted fugitive, which means he will basically not want to ever leave Nigeria as the USA govt will grab him from any other country he goes to. 10. USA govt has a lot of pull, they have collected wanted people from so many other countries while in transit.. Every country yields to them. 11. Finally, lets see what will happen. Some of you don't understand what freedom means.. i'm not sure if its poverty,etc, pushing you to say you rather be in a swedish prison than be free. Look up wife of ruler of dubai, his daughters, etc.. read up on the story.. They live in a palace with everything provided yet they tried to escape due to lack of freedom. Picture this: I put you in a massive bedroom, with a TV with a few channels, then LOCK the door... You have no cell phone, you have no internet, you cant watch youtube, you cant browse nairaland, you can't have sex, you can only visit your family ONCE every week for 1 hour. Now imagine you're in this room for one day, two days, 3, one week, one month, one year.. NOW imagine why freedom is priceless. No matter how nice an accommodation is, you will yearn for your freedom sooner or later. A poor man who is free has a much greater life than a rich man who is locked up.. Cheers |

you know whats funny in all this? I know many rich people who aren't even Christians... One thing we should ask is, how come Nigeria is such a mess and yet theres a church in every corner.. Surely God should be blessing all of us since we have a lot of churches and pay our tithes.. Go to the middle east, china, etc, very developed, less poverty, and they don't go to church or pay tithes.. P/S ill like to add that one of my contacts in Guangzhou,(China) said that A LOT of his Nigerian friends who couldn't succeed with business in China came back to Nigeria and are now pastors and making a lot of money, and they have been trying to convince him to become a pastor too. lol. Its amusing watching you all argue over nonsense.. Keep giving the money to those Nigerian guys while they laugh all the way to the bank, and buy new cars and jets. Religion is bringing Nigeria down. We have more churches per square mile than 99% of other countries, yet our country is a crap hole.. Massive corruption, poverty, suffering, etc. Does it mean God does not like us?? Meanwhile countries that arent as religious as us are doing much better.. Anyway, I dont want to get into that issue... For all you tithe payers, have you ever wondered why the pastor only chooses the verses and books that suit him when it comes to getting money.. The pastor should also be preaching stuff like "Wearing clothing woven of more than one kind of cloth" is not allowed (Please check your tags ASAP), Even the bible itself is confused.. Go ahead and check http://infidels.org/library/modern/jim_meritt/bible-contradictions.html and you will see tons of inconsistencies. Never have I seen a book with advocates killing your own child if he disobeys (Deuteronomy 21:18-21), yet at the same time preaches forgiveness and mercy. I'm sure your pastors won't tell you to go home and kill your children, after all its in the old testament,(but magically they will collect your money using old testament books and quotes..) Goodluck to all, to each his own. Finally i'd love to say majority of Nigerians are sheep.. I finally gave up on Nigerians about 2yrs ago when i was in the village in Anambra state, and we went to a local church... Guess what? The pastor was announcing this: "The family of MR so and so has given N200. They have tried.." "The family of MR a and b has given N50. They need to do better next time " "The family of Mr b and c has given N1,000. God will bless them the most and continue to keep them" "The family of Mr d and e has yet to give anything. I feel for you bro.. I think the problem is most Nigerian men arent strong enough.. Try this: When shes home one day, get into the room with her.. Tell her you want to see her phone right now, and if she doesnt want to give it to you then you're getting divorced.. Your woman is cheating/ or about to cheat.. When a woman is all about you she can't wait to talk to you, meanwhile your woman is ignoring you. Just do what I said, you need to shock her back into reality.. Be like listen i think youre cheating on me, and I want to see your phone now, as in right now. If you don't want to hand it over to me, then no worries, but good luck being single because i want a divorce. This is a win-win for you.. If she refuses to give you her phone, it means 100% shes cheating in which case you need to leave that marriage.. If she gives you her phone and she's not doing anything, then you can relax, and explain shes acting suspicious. Bottom line is all im trying to say is grow some balls man.. Ive never been walked all over by any girl because I make it CLEAR to them that IM 100% OKAY without them, and they will continue to be my girl as long as they dont MESS UP, and once they MESS UP its over. They end up respecting me because of this. You need to bluff sometimes man, make it seem like you will be fine without your woman, and that shes the one that has to convince you to stay with her... Do that and you will have any girl in the palm of your hands.. Im 32 years, never been cheated on or treated like crap.. AZeD1: So many variables.. If you spend in dollars then no, If you spend in Naira, you are collecting less Naira for your dollar, but it also depends, what can you buy for the same 3k? Is your purchasing power the same? Inflation makes a big difference... In 1980 you could buy a ticket to america for N2000. Now its N300,000.. Inflation/exchange rate makes a difference.. I dont know why this is so difficult for you to grasp.. Its propaganda.. There is way less cargo passing through our ports now due to the economy.. Customs is reporting more money because the people who are bringing in cargo are now paying MORE MONEY for duty... Duty that was 5m is now 8m.. So customs shouldnt be proud.. they havent done anything.. What we are all saying is customs published an increase in revenue to fool the masses.. They wrote it as a pride article, like they have accomplished something, meanwhile they should be ashamed that there's way less goods flowing through our ports.. They are just collecting more money from less people.. Its like bragging about your company making N1bn extra revenue, meanwhile your profit went down 50%.. thats stupid.. 1 Like |

AZeD1: They collect in naira BUT based on the official rate.. hence the same 20% duty will cost you more at N200/$ as opposed to N300/$ Come on guys this isnt that difficult to see why an increase in revenue for customs this year, is actually a decrease once you check it percentage wise.. Why are you guys confused? I'll give another example... Last year lets say toyota land cruisers cost N20,000,000, and toyota made a profit of N2,000,000 per car in Nigeria. Now this year they cost N35,000,000 , toyota is still making the same profit of N2,000,000. Assume they sell only 10 this year.. Can toyota Nigeria now come and say HEY GUYS, our yearly revenue went from N200M to N350M.. We are now rich!!! haha.lol Nope, cuz the profit is still the damn same.. Many companies, including ours, reported a huge increase in revenue, but actually less profit... Increase in revenue was because now we collect N20,000 for the same product that was sold N15,000 last year.. Just FYI revenue is nonsense.. here, pick one.. A company that generates N100M a year revenue, with 10M profit , or a company that generates N50M a year revenue, with 25M profit In business you could be generating billions of naira and still operating at a loss.. |

Duty Rate = 30% When naira was 200 officially, our duty to customs was N6,000,000 Now for the same $100,000 import, our duty this year is over N9,000,000 Can you now see how customs is collecting MORE naira for the same value of dollar.. I understand your wife's problem. I wouldnt be able to lay pipe in the living room if my mom in a nearby room.. be spontaneous bro.. here are some options i would go with: (they have worked for me when I had a girl and had a full house, etc) - If money is a problem, book a very cheap hotel room, otherwise get a place thats nicer.. tell her mom to take care of the child for a few hours.. invite your wife to the hotel room.. Bang away  - Go into the bathroom with her , put the shower/tap on, and give her the D while the water runs.. - try to woo your wife man, you know her better.. find a friend/location you can use to bang her.... maybe take her out to eat somewhere, tell her how beautiful she is, etc, then later on she will gladly accept the D from you. Personally anything is possible, just depends on how much level of poverty you want to go through for your family. The world is way over populated.. Dont bring in a child to suffer and not have the best food/education.. YOU MUST NOT HAVE CHILDREN. Nigeria needs to chill out with need to re-procreate.. theres no reason for a driver on N20k/month to have children.. If i made only N100,000.month, i'd find a nice babe, have a small ceremony, and live/enjoy life with her.. I won't bring any kids into the world to come and suffer, as well as increase my suffering.. for NIGERIAN MEN/WOMEN: ITS OK TO NOT HAVE CHILDREN. Many priests/etc dont even have children.. Also lots of billionaires in western world barely have kids.. Live a good life, and die happy.. Don't bring children into this world and start begging for food, school fees, etc. Thanks. 2 Likes |

HAH: there's something we are missing somewhere i guess... if Nigeria makes that kind of money, why can't they pump at least $200m into FX market every week, and keep $200m for reserves youre absolutely right.. something doesnt make much sense.. If we had $200m into fx market every week for 6 months straight, dollar would drop quite a bit.. Let me address this again, the reserves being built up are useless when inflation is going higher.. What is the point of 100B reserves when dollar is N600 and a bag of rice is N40,000.. Let me post what i posted before as it still applies. FROM DEC 2016.. relax guys only reason reserves grew is because cbn isn't giving funds. our company (manufacturer) has bills of close to $1m unpaid and we are small fish. it's like saying you having 1m in your account but you are homeless and can't eat. estimates by international analysts are that our import bill is over $2b a month. right now last report released was that cbn has over $20b of unpaid bills and LC. reserves are just propaganda. for the last one month cbn has been giving only $1.5m daily while demand is closer to 100m a day.
