DaBullIT:
Bull-Shyte
ur moniker says it all u v a lot to do with 'bull'. People are here appraising a young Nigerian who has proven his dexterity in intelligent write ups and this is all u can write. Am sure ppl like u neva read or dont understand when u do. Hating will only stagnate you while ppl like Barcanista keep moving fwd. Reading Barcanista present every of his arguments with verifiable source of reference makes them factual, makes him a scholar and above making a crusader in d evolving Nigeria. If not for Barca, dia wud v been a monolithic view on issues on N/L esp d APC propaganda machine. This man is sure d antidote needed to dilute d venom of politicians while keeping them on dia toes. I respectd him more when I read his position on Sarakigate, he never supported him but only revealed d hypocrisy of d Apc.

Honestly this guy TonyeBarcanista even deserves more than this. His contribution to d polity should extend to being quoted on intn'l tv channels. I give it to him cos methink he is very intelligent and one of d reasons why I 'nairaland' to read his view about any trending political issue. U can imagine a situation where ppl are now cloning his moniker in oda to hoodwink others into reading their comments.

Rubbish story, fake OP.
someone created a post u call it fake without confirming. This is still a developing news right now 1300hrs on Radio Biafra app and d Director Kalu is repeating it over and over again dat d Anambra Gov Willie Obiano had a security council meeting this morng at d govt house with d CP , reps of d military, d vigilante n oda security paraphernalia on how to exterminate d IPOB mbrs in d state with emphasis on dia leaders. D Director is dia4 allerting d world and threatening d gov with attack anytime he is found outside d shores of d 'zoo'. He maintained d ipob mbrs are unarmed and have never been a source of security challenge but are Biafrans going about dia evangelism on d need to v dia freedom. He maintained dat Obiano is playing to d gallery b4 Buhari cos he intends to join Apc soon.

confusion everyday , policy somersault, denials and lack of clear economic blue print is becoming d bane of Buhari/apc govt. This is why a Minister of Finance is aptly needed at this point; even d cbn gov is warning of imminent economic recession. Things ll get messier with Fitch rating likely out in coming days whereas GEJ team mbrs are getting intn'l accolades, recognitions and appointments.

Politics › Re: CCT Is A Superior Court by jlinkd78(m): 11:35am On Sep 19, 2015
I said it in my other post dat constitutional interpretation is not as straight jacketed as it seems. This has made Agbakoba arguement less potent n revived d life for d CCT. More on this news before Monday morning
Politics › Re: Saraki:CCT Does Not Have Equal Jurisdiction With the High court- Agbakoba by jlinkd78(m):
Real reason why legal practice is really a professional course, one interpretation by an authority like Agbakoba is about giving Saraki a lifeline. I wont be surprised if Saraki survives this banana peel and probably have d last laugh n d cct chairman who is probably smiling now begging. Am yet to hear Ekweremmadu input being a revered constitutional lawyer. If it is established dat d FHC is superior to d cct in anyway, then d Saraki team can argue contempt charge against d cct chairman for not respecting d FHC decision to wait till Monday n u know d FHC case can drag up to d supreme court. Though I wud v loved Saraki to go to prison cos of his stupendous acquisition of wealth but d brazen manner a comatose CCB suddenly became over-lively shows there is more to this than meets d eyes. ********Just Realised this my small effortless comment just made FTC and being a true Nigerian I v decided to sell this space and d proceed to be donated to d poor amongst us who are daily being robbed by politicians irrespective of party.*********

Politics › Re: APC Govs On Assets: We Won’t Follow Buhari’s Example by jlinkd78(m): 6:52am On Sep 12, 2015
This APC govs are all sick with Okorocha's case in comatose condition. I just wish El Rufai will show his independent mindedness, play to the gallery and make public his asset declaration. This has confirmed dat whether apc or pdp they really dont give a damn ( an expression attributable to GEJ when confronted with public declaration of his asset of which d apc popularized during their 'change' campaign and succeeded in vilifying d outgone president). There is always unity in looting our common wealth. Okorocha does not only give a damn about public asset declaration but has made it clear he does not care how d greater population feels about his governance nay mis-governance i.e public opinion. Is it possible for d media to move to CCB and demand these filled forms under d FOI act without meeting resistance since they all claim to have fulfilled d constitutional requiremnt? This shd be d next step . Apc shd also know dat in as much as it might not have been a constitutional requirement, its still not unconstitutional to do so and as a party that thrives on anti corruption mantra; this will be one sure way of confirming d veracity of their claim. Most times I just feel we v been scammed by d apc.

Politics › Re: Buhari Cabinet: Govs Senators, Reps, Lose Power To Pick Nominees by jlinkd78(m): 3:36pm On Sep 06, 2015
criminalmindz:
friends and colleagues from every part of the nation and some of my best friends are not even from my side of the country.

However, recent events are making me to have a deeper reflection and I wish we- Southerners in this instance- can have some kind of introspection. Out of 25 appointments made so far, 18 are from the North, 3 are from the South West, 4 are from the South South while the South East has ZERO appointments. A tweet which I saw today stated that “southerners are only competent when it’s time for elections but northerners are competent in terms of governance” and this made the following thoughts run through my mind:

1. Only Southerners have been accusing fellow Southerners of corruption. Oshiomole has been attacking Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala as if Ngozi turned down his marriage proposal. The same Oshiomole tried to make nonsense of Akinwumi Adeshina’s successes in the agriculture sector. Ambode tried to pull Fashola down and successfully smeared him with stains. Maybe that’s why Fashola did not get the Chief of Staff role. I’m yet to see a Northerner accuse another Northerner of corruption, even when they belong to different parties. The closest a Northerner got was when the new Kano State Governor attacked Rabiu Kwankaso but he quickly sheathed his sword and even disowned previous reports of attacks. Why are we like this?

2. Are Southerners the only ones who are corrupt? Were there no northerner heading the ministries and parastatals? Did the outgone Comptroller-General of Customs, Abdullahi Dikko not have an alleged case of certificate forgery but he still served out his tenure until he resigned voluntarily? I’m not in support of corruption under any guise but the fight against corruption must not be seen to be sectional.

3. How come it’s easier for the President to believe that Sanni Abacha was not corrupt in spite of recovered loot while it is so easy for him to believe Goodluck Jonathan is irredeemably corrupt?

4. I still remember that aside from God, Tinubu made Tambuwal what he is today. The same Tambuwal would later call Femi Gbajabiamila ‘incompetent’ and rated Dogara as more competent. The same Tambuwal was propped up by Tinubu, a Southerner against a fellow Southerner, Mulikat Akande. Obasanjo was very key to denying Goodluck Jonathan a second term. A good number can still recall how OBJ tore his PDP membership card in public glare. The Northerners find it easy to support themselves but we are always pulling ourselves down. Babangida Aliyu, Sule Lamido and all the other Northern Governors including the former PDP Chairman Adamu Muazu often times refused to campaign for Goodluck Jonathan openly and many times even espoused the virtues of the opposing candidate on the rostrum!

5. Southern leaders and Presidents pull down Southern business men but prop up Northern ones. How many people still remember how Obasanjo ran Mike Adenuga out of town but both Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan made Aliko Dangote what he is today. No northern leader goes against their own. I dare to put it on record that President Buhari will never go against Aliko Dangote for any reason.

6. How come OBJ pardoned Salisu Buhari, the ex-Speaker who forged his credentials and he later was given an appointment as a Governing Council member of a University and heavens did not fall- but when Goodluck Jonathan pardoned Alamieyeseigha it became one of the major issues counted against him? Is there one rule for some and another rule for others?

7. We find it easy to raise our voices in support of the deportation of Buruji Kashamu but have no qualms with Atiku Abubakar strutting around the corridors of power.

8. Only Southerners find it so easy to abuse their elders when they voice opinions not in tandem with the popular opinion. We find it easy to diss Afenifere elders and call them ‘Afenifebi’ while hurling expletives and curses at them. We even abuse our kings and priests. Northerners will never abuse an Emir no matter how unpopular what he said is. Can you imagine any Northerner raising his voice against the Sultan? In spite of Tanko Yakassai, Balarabe Musa and Dangiwa Umar’s perceived support for Jonathan, northern youths did not abuse them. But our own youths run down our elders on social media while our educated elite also support the act.

These are some of the thoughts that have been running through my mind. I don’t pretend to have all the answers and I do this at the risk of being labelled an ethnic bigot. The point however is that Southerners have to get their acts right. We have to put our house in order. The bickering must stop. Let’s engage our emotional intelligence. Let’s not allow others to exploit our tendency to self-destruct.
Comments like this is just why I 'nairaland'. Good construction of tenses, articulated logic devoid of innuendos & ethnic bashings, factual presentation of points and above all verifiable rhethorics. U v shown dia is a great difference between a student and a scholàr and u surely belong to d later. Am still sure a lot of southerers will read this but will not understañd. I just wish it will be possible for d first S/E man to be appointed by this 'northernotocratic' govt to politely turn it down.

Am really surprised no one has even read an update on this topic even by Premium Times themselves. No stock pile of arms was seen; not even a single AK47. APC loose credibility by d day with this dia pattern of always playing to d gallery, lies, deceits and denials. They must be shocked to find out dat despite d intelligence report on arms at d place, they found nothing. This will go a long way in enlightening d world d quality of intelligence gathering n processing under Daura. The only good thing this dss boss is good at is witch hunting and persecution of perceived political opponents. Apc shud stop acting as if they are still in oppositiin n get down to work. With this premeditated attempt to rubbish Akpabio n d Pdp by extension which has backfired; d Apc shd seriously think soberly and understand dat propaganda cant carry u for too long.

Infact d construction of Iwofe rd by MCC despite d rains has made me to personally believe dat roads cud be done irrespective of rainy season. Amaechi played great politics with this Iwofe rd and its environs since 2007. What surprised most observers is dat Wike retained d contractors dat Amaechi started with on most of d ongoing projects; something am sure Amaechi wud never had done if it was d oda way round.
