play play play play, Biafra is no longer an online freedom fighting. Was thinking Rochas was boasting of crushing d agitators. Mass movement is not same as govt sponsored protests wia participants get involved because of peanuts at d end of each outing. Biafra is an ideology, Biafra is an identity, Biafra is a people, Biafra is a motherland.

really good point. When TSA was started Pmb agents claimed it was great achievmnt of Buhari but once TSA ran into trouble they claim it was Gej dat signed and started it.

Politics › Re: Court Rejects Saraki’s Fresh Application Against CCT by jlinkd78(m): 12:26pm On Nov 19, 2015
Haykay80:
Justice Abdulkadir Abdulkafarati of the Federal High Court, Abuja, has rejected Senate President Bukola Saraki’s application for an order of interim injunction stopping his trial at the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT).

The judge refused Saraki’s prayer after listening to his lawyer, Raphael Oluyede.

The Nation sighted yesterday a certified true copy (CTC) of the Monday ruling.

Instead, the judge ordered Saraki to serve the respondents.

He directed them to appear before the court tomorrow to show cause why the reliefs sought by the applicant should not be granted.

Saraki’s fresh application for interim injunction was filed with a new fundamental rights’ enforcement suit at the Federal High Court, Abuja, on November 6, the day Justice Ibrahim Buba (of the Lagos division) threw out a similar brought by him.

Justice Buba said his court lacked the jurisdiction to entertain the case. He added that it should have been filed in Abuja where the cause of action took place. The judge noted that Saraki could not prove that his rights were about to be violated in Lagos.

“He has to proffer reasons for the court to hold that his right is about to be violated in Lagos State. The key word is ‘state’,” the judge said.

This suit is the third of such filed at the Federal High Court by Saraki.

Justice Ahmed Ramat Mohammed, before who the first of such suits was filed, withdrew from the case on September 30 and returned the case file to the Chief Judge, Justice Ibrahim Auta.

Saraki sought to restrain the CCT, the Federal Ministry of Justice and others from proceeding with his trial on the alleged false assets declaration charge against him at the CCT.

Justice Mohammed declined on September 17 to grant Saraki’s prayer for an order restraining the respondents.

The Senate president had applied for the order via an ex-parte motion.

The judge ordered that the respondents be put on notice and show cause on September 21, why Saraki’s prayers should not be granted.

On September 21, the judge, after arguments from parties, elected to hear the substantive suit.

When parties returned to court on September 30, Justice Mohammed withdrew from the case, following publications in the social media, which portrayed him as being compromised.

He said the publication cast doubt in his integrity as a judge hearing the case.

Justice Mohammed said it was more honourable for him to hand the case file to the chief judge for reassignment.

To avert a possible misrepresentation of the proceedings, the judge directed an official of the court to make the record of the proceedings available.

It is, however, not clear why Saraki filed the fresh suit since the Supreme Court on November 12, directed the CCT to suspend proceedings in his trial pending the determination of his appeal.

The apex court asked the CCT to “tarry awhile” and await its decision in Saraki’s appeal.

The directive by a five-man panel, led by Justice John Fabiyi, followed an undertaking by the respondents’ lawyer, Rotimi Jacobs (SAN), to prevail on the CCT not to proceed with the trial since the Supreme Court will hear Saraki’s appeal speedily.

this whole Sarakigate will soon die a natural death with all these legal razzmatazz here and there cos everyone is getting more and more confused by d day. One case by one man in 4 courts at same time- d CCT, Fed High court, Appeal court and Supreme Court. I grew up to know ur case moves from High court then to Appeal court and finally Supreme court but in Saraki all d courts are at work.

Dear Tonye, it is writeup like this that is unbiased, truthful, balanced and factual dat got ppl like me endeared to u. I ll appreciate u maintain on this pattern as u might soon become d face of constructive criticism in Nigeria and who knows one day might become a representative of d youth at some level. U v indeed enriched my knowledge of d TSA and I can now make an informed opinion. If u go thru d comments, u ll find out dat almost everybody scored ur write up an A+ cos all u said is appreciated. With ur clarification, it is now clear dat GEJ initiated d TSA policy and d current govt is continuing on it. That is fact. U also advised d Senate to ensure in d long run they bring out d best of d TSA and not to have it scrapped. Another fact. My sincere advice is dat u MUST avoid d temptation of d Biafra vs Ijaw politics where most times u try to turn history upside down.
Politics › Re: FOR THE RECORDS: Buhari Failures And Misdeeds In Words And Pictures by jlinkd78(m):
Pressid cancellation and the I-pass-my-neighbour generator ban are two anti-people actions of d govt in one day. What Nigerians clamour for is steady light and generator ban cos of d suspicious nexus between light non-availability and generator importation but a situation wia d govt only bans d I-pass-my-neighbour type only (Pmb house will be running on listers) has only painted them as being against d poor. Again for d fact d Pressid is based on first class (merit) and not on usual quota system in selecting d beneficiary, d northern cabal will rather have it scrapped than sustaining a scheme dat portray d South's intelligence prowess above d norths academic imbecility instead of correcting any observed flaws. We know all these about vindictive Buhari.

Honestly ima akwukwo di nma. The entire writeup has shown d Biafrans as being highly intellectuals, erudite scholars, non loquacious in approach, organised in methodology and unpredictable in tactics. Cant remember when last I read such an informed line, filled with logics, devoid of innuendos, constitutionally on point and internationally sympathetic. Buhari never saw this coming if not they shd have allowed d bait, Nnamdi Kalu, to v quietly left Nigeria without falling for d trap. It is even a shame dat nobody spotted him at point of entry at d airport until he has chekd into a Lagos hotel and this exposes d ineptitude of d entire security paraphernalia and here they are issuing empty threats. With d coalition of d Human Right groups with attached names and phone numbers shud v send a strong message to d 'zoo' govt but I doubt if they ll understand d message. It is gradually appearing d realisation of d land of rising sun might be achieved faster under d unintelligent approach of this govt. That this writeup is yet to hit front page, despite being one of d best construction of tenses and reasoning, is part of why Nigeria is a zoo where even d mods here prefer to celebrate mediocrity at d expense of merit. U cant suppress an idea whose time has come. Viva Biafra.

God bless who ? NIGGER AREA (CURSED NAME )
support BIAFRA movement my friend for the sake of your freedom and happiness .
Tell him my brother. I had earlier warned this Tonye of a guy dat he will soon fall like a pack of cards while he was busy forming 'Biafra critic' and alienating d Ijaws from d struggle by trying to rewrite history. This his long epistle which he is probably observing now is what d great Ikemba Ojukwu knew a long time in d 60's and led to d first Biafra secession. Fashola has been made d working power house (Minister for Works, Power, Housing) but d born to rule north have taken over every security apparatus in d whole country and u tell me one Nigeria. I never got ibterested in d Biafra uprising until this Apc govt made it clear dat we are second class Nigerian. No 10 Downing Street London will yet witness d mass of all rallies tomorrow 12noon to 3pm. Nigeria is becoming a fraud where d illiterates use d high IQ of d south to rule while ensuring d power in d gun remains with them.

pure error my brother; thats a clear maginalisation, i forsee a cabinet reshufle soon
this was a well thought out plan by d born to rule north hence not error per se. A country built on tripod Hausa, Igbo n Yoruba have all of Justice, Defence and Interior Ministers all from North West zone same as d president. Kachikwu was 'demoted' from nnpc to minister of state and quote me soon an Hausa man will be made nnpc GMD and with Pmb as d substantive petroleum minister d oil will continue to flow up north.

lies. Garba Shehu u are lying. U mean we Nigerians and d entire world now needs an interpreter to drive home a clear speech made by PMB in India dat not all d nominees will get post but just to make up numbers of cabinet composition. We had always had minister of state in Nigeria and no one was expecting PMB to v created 36 substansive ministries. If this is an after thought after d backlash from sane minds then d best u can do is to apologise and nexr time try to guide him before his obvious blunders. We are watching him as he assigns more relevant portfolios to his kinsmen.
