Spy360: Muller invented the word not necessarily the skill. Japa didn't start in 2021, even though the word was invented then to mean leaving the country. Tiki taka didn't start with Pep even though he made it popular.
Muller is an AM or SS. He used the word raumdeuter to explain his role in the team because people were wondering why he was roaming the pitch just as you are wondering why Kai is roaming the pitch.
Whether you want to call it interpreter or not, the idea is to control space. Oga, he invented the word. Stop clutching at straws Nobody was a Raumdeuter before him. And if you check it, there was no role like that before him. Stop forcing something just to find leeway for Havertz. No be by force na!! Space interpreter is different from your so called space controller. Last season I always commend our players(especially Odegaard) for his half-space understanding and interpretation. Xhaka too. Nobody calls them Raumde.uters. |

mostob: Nothing would have changed even without Havertz on the field. We were scoring goals last season with Xhaka in the team because the system was still new. Saka and Martinelli have been underpar recently. Ode will rather tek than play proper football. Jesus doesn't stay inside the box. Havertz is one issue out of many bro. While our striker/attackers are underwhelming this season, I still think an effective Lam would have made our attack more effective than how it's originally is. Notice how everyone is drifting towards Right(Rice, Saka, Odegaard) and leaving the left? Opponents know that is our strongest point of and even at that we still try to create chances. But the left is just left for only Martinelli to figure his way out. Zinny will invert in middle and leave him. Havertz will do "space controller/ghosting". and leave him. And you wonder why our LHS is dead. No be say Martinelli na one kind Messi sef. An effective Lam would have made our two legs to stand up instead of only one leg which we're presently standing on (RHS) |

This is hardly surprising when you realise that its origins start with a current player — the aforementioned Thomas Müller, who invented the term himself. He's usually defined as being in the Number 10 slot behind the striker, in a 4-2-3-1 shape... And lastly, Raum.deuter are known as Space interpretators or investigators and not "space controllers" as you make us to believe We can see that it's Muller who invented it, yet Spy360 you say examples are Old men crespo, old men Inzaghi and old men Trezeguet. Lastly the other examples given are Callejon and Delle Alli. These are players who played predominantly as SS during their prime in Napoli and Tottenham respectively. We don't use 4231 so any Rau.mdeuter for Havertz is totally wrong cos we don't use one https://www.google.com/url?q=https://jobsinfootball.com/blog/raumdeuter-role-explained/&sa=U&ved=2ahUKEwiy5OPsstqDAxWbU0EAHV7ZC1wQFnoECAMQAg&usg=AOvVaw2L26_PMniWQLyEtZm_pwfBHere's the link Spy in case you're interested. Not the one you're describing me Muller saying it's Raumdeuter definition. |

Spy360: What you're saying is similar to saying that dribblers are mostly midfielders or sweepers are only defenders.
Today goalkeepers have been sweepers, dribblers have been defenders so why can space readers be midfielders.
For your information, Muller was a 10. A SS is basically an advanced midfielder. Kai can be a SS in the LAM position so what's your problem?
Now look at the pix below that describes Thomas Muller, change the name to Kai Havertz and see if the description also fits. Sweepers are mostly for GK and CBs. A FB can't be a sweeper neither can an attacker be a sweeper. Go look for the definition of sweeper and educate yourself. Kai can't play Ss as an Lam/LCM. I don't know where you're getting all these stuff from. As like saying Alonso (of Chelsea) is playing striking from defence because he scores goals. Ss predominantly plays close to the Striker in an advanced position and hardly drops deep. Will you be truthful that that's what Havertz plays here?? Finally, the pictures below describes Muller. Show me the attributes of a Raumd.euter not Muller characteristics? |

Spy360: At least you found one evidence yourself, meaning that it wasn't my idea in the first place. All you now need to do is to use the evidence and apply it to other players. Like I said, Raumdeuters are mostly SS and not Lam/LCM so that even tells you that your definitions are way off to what Havertz is doing. It's like you calling ball playing CBs and you start calling Haaland and mbappe. Who does that? |

Though personally, I prefer a right footed player in that role and ESR looks good for me. I even prefer him there to Rice. Hence I will support any change that will include him and hope his recurring injuries don't spoil things all over again. Lmaoooo... See cruise!!!! Havertz10 = Spy360 Nothing wey anybody fit tell me. I didn't say midfield controllers, I said space controller or space reader. Google raumdeuters in football for further explanations. It's not my term. The only Raum.deuter in that list is Muller. But for now it's all about Kai.
This is what you should get. If you feel he'll click in that Lam position, why are you saying Kai is the best we got? Shebi na more than one matches Kai played to become your best bet as Lam. Make Trossard play him own more than one match too |

Kai is a space controller and that skill set is difficult to see. The same way a dribbler is difficult to see. Actually Midfield controllers are not difficult to see. afrodoc2: You can't play in that position and be focussed on off the ball runs.
Other CMs are making 45-60 passes per game and the guy is making 22 passes per game. When he makes his off the ball runs who is he leaving his primary job to? The guy is a hybrid of McTominay and VDB.
Last season Xhaka was making about 42 passes per game. Now his replacement is making just over 50% of that meaning there are 20-22 times per game this season where instead of being in position to receive the ball from his teammate and control the game the guy is off elsewhere on the pitch doing God knows what. I don tell Spy last week say Havertz na German McTom. He's one of the reasons Martinelli suffers too cos instead of him to have any sort of relationship with Martinelli to drag player away from him, he'll be running into the box for God knows what. I've always said it that once we're with the ball, this guy is a ghost. You'll never ever see him. |

The closest I can vouch for is ESR who himself is basically untried. Even though I have preference for him.
Until Partey comes back and Rice plays that role as a CM, the best we have there is Kai Havertz How many times have Trossard played there this season? Just once aganst West Ham but you think that's enough. Meanwhile when Havertz started there beginning of season and was dropping stinkers you were here telling us how he needs more games to click and acclamatize. You've forgotten so soon that Trossard won our preseason best player and what position did he played while winning that? I'm sure even late Beckenbauer, Kahn and so many other good to great players especially ex German players and pundits said so too which I why I said the guy PR or JuJu must be so so strong and massive. See Salah for example, he hardly contests for headers too and the few he's scored is mostly empty net/free headers yet nobody is seeing it as issues. And there are so many examples aside those two. All our losses, he had such big chances but preferred leg. We need this striker so bad simply because of what's at stake.
Nunez is having a turn around that soon, no one will remember he's a chance waster. He's a 9. ]But he'll still start over a Jota that plays similar to Jesus. There was a reason I asked you that time how many open play headers have Saka actually scored when you were saying that Saka should leave corner kick duties and compete for headers. Not all domination is a W or ends in W. Some managers just have tiny details that can get them 3points while some sweat over 20 details, overthink them and lose to tiny details. Plus the inability to read and change things during the game too. That killed us. Every time we started a counter vs Villa, we always slowed things down till all purple shirts recovered their shape. That's arrogance!!🤣🤣🤣🤣
End of game: we had loads upon loads of chances, but...
Winners: we did one or two and got the goals. But they came at us hard but we survived
