Nice Win. Bournemouth just no wan gree for us. Person go think say dem dey drag for something
E be like say Gabriel wan sell match for first half. Thank God for Raya and Saliba quickly covering his mess ups for his two mistakes. Seems he was nervous. A better 2nd half showing.
Havertz have been really amazing as a striker in this run in. Kudos to him for a very good play today.
Like I said last season, it was inexperience that made us capitulate towards the final fixtures of the season. If we find ourselves again, we'll be able to do better and thankfully the boys are proving that tremendously.
Man U next. Let's go for the 3pts. Ten Hag go wan pour sand sand for garri since him don get us for mind since that first match. I won't be surprised if Man u start playing like prime Barca. Anyways, I still expect a win.
Upwards and Onwards!!!

Spy360: Bruno can play DM and ask an 8 and he is quite comfortable on both roles.
He has all it takes to be an upgrade on Partey depending on the manager and himself.
Bruno has all the qualities of Partey and even those Partey lacks.
For example he has the passing ability and stamina of Partey and he also has the pace which Partey lacks. Are you sure he's an upgrade on Partey? He's good tho and Iike him especially that his aggressiveness (thankfully him no too dey collect red) and I would want him in our team like you said. But I doubt he's an upgrade on Partey presently. Maybe in the future sha. Another thing na if Newcastle go sell |

mostob: He is the sole reason I dislike Newcastle. He is too dirty... imagine swinging elbow here and there against your fellow professional footballer. Moreso, he is just like Rice... What we need is someone who can replace Partey. To get someone who can replace Partey or an upgrade is very very hard. Like very very hard. We need bring someone who can at least be technically good, can pass, strong and press resistant. I see Bruno as such a person. If he can play 6, Rice play 8, then we're good to go. Further more, he's good shooting from outside |

He will give us the energy and physicality in the middle but technique? No. Do you think any of these players will agree to sit on the bench? The Onana, na only here I dey see am oo. I don't understand how we need technical players and na Onana be option. We need strong players that are good technically and can beat press, I never for once thought Onana would always be an option here |

NinjaMetahuman: may be you are right about the ratio of chances created, maybe not, but I can't dispute it cos i currently dont have the data but Torres misses were horrible and it was quite frequent too.
Ayegbeni level misses. Yeah, Torres miss where terrible. I remember against Man City when he missed an open net after dribbling GK. But las las he still scored the winning goal |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Jodera: 12:01pm On Apr 30, 2024 |
Leyqute: The Torres that went to Chelsea had lost the fire and zeal in him. But the team wasn’t doing this terribly at that moment so the perception is a bit different retrospectively. Their UCL win plus his infamous goal vs Barcelona covered a lot of his cracks.
Torres missed open nets you wouldn’t believe anyone could miss. He dribbled keeper successfully was under no pressure and was perfectly balanced. Yet he missed the goal by a wide margin.
At Chelsea he scored 45 goals in 172 games. That’s a poor return given his stature but Lampard’s goals covered for him.
Jackson also misses chances but they weren’t as bad as Torres. Also Jackson looks like a guy on the ascendancy (if he doesn’t crack under the pressure and have mental issues). He excels in other aspects of his game except for finishing, which, for a striker, can be unforgivable. Torres, on the other hand, was falling off a cliff. Yeah, Jackson is on an ascendancy no doubt. I think the pressure and burden of Jackson being the actual goalscorer is weighing him down. This guy miss chances as if he enjoys them. Him and Nunez |

afrodoc2: Bruv, Torres averaged 6 league goals a season throughout his stay for a dominant Chelsea team that was competing for titles. He missed chances again, and again, and again. That na why the team would be scoring 70 to 75 goals, and he will be dropping 6 goals.
The chance he missed against us shocked me so much that every time i watch the replay i still expect him to score. I know Torres missed a lot of chances. Didn't know it was this frequent as Jackson. Omorr, Jackson misses is like every match day and at least two per match. It would have been some real low for Torres to miss at at rate |
