Spy360: You accept that as a forward he should score goals but you are still comfortable having him overwork himself outside his forward role. I mean, you see him as a forward but want him to spend all his time outside the forward role, and yet expect that he should score goals since he is a forward. How can a forward not be in the forward position and is still expected to do his duties as a forward.
Let me assume you have not played the position before or felt the impact. I was a forward player and I know that for you to have the right frame of mind and composure to finish off chances as a forward you have to get less involved with the build up. Unless the coach does not place a demand on you for goals, and he is comfortable having you drop deep (Firmino). But if he demands goals output as your KPI in every game, then it is only wise to keep to your primary duties and aim for goals (Haaland).
As for Jesus, we all know that Arteta is comfortable having him roam the entire pitch creating chances knowing that Martinelli, Odegaard and Saka will finish them off. Something I regard as a sacrifice from Jesus. However anytime Arteta begins to feel uncomfortable with his goals output, then it will be wise for Jesus to stick to forward play majorly just as Nketiah has done so far. This is because, sooner than later fans will begin to demand for Nketiah to start when goals are needed. Lol... You're conflating issues and that's the reason why we're going round and round in circles. You claim Jesus sacrifices himself for his fellow attackers which makes his fellow attackers benefit from his sacrifices. If to say na Lacazette you dey talk about, I would have agreed (at least that's what I agreed on last year) Look at this below stats before his injury.. 1... Jesus have the most Shots on target amongst all our forwards (in fact two time more than the next person) 2... Jesus have the most passes received in the opposition box(more than any player in pl) 3... Jesus have the most big chances received and most big chances missed in EPL (more than two times the next arsenal player) 4... None of Jesus shot have been taken outside the box 18Looking at these 4 stats, does this look like someone who is "sacrificing" his goals and attack for his fellow attackers to benefits? Darwin Nunez is someone who is trolled cos of the amount of chances he misses too(with respect to what his been provided). I guess Darwin Nunez is involved in much buildups like G.Jesus too. Darwin Nunez is someone that scored 32 goals last season, I guess me calling him "not clinical" this season is an insult on him too. It's simple to see that you're very wrong in saying Jesus being involved in buildups means he's sacrificing his goals for his fellow attackers. And I'll keep on saying it... The difference between Newcastle game and Wolves game Is just Gabriel Jesus. There are many things Jesus did in that Wolves game that opened their defences that Nketiah just didn't have that quality in him. All those things you said he should stop is one of the key reasons why we're at the top of the table. I rest my case |

kokaneprodigy: Oga you dey insult Gabriel.
There are games that could have ended as draw where the opponent packer trailer, but the drive and Jesus’ ball movement helped open them up.
If you were in doubt Newcastle game exposed what Jesus’ brings to the team. You're mistaking me for Spy cos this your message needs to be directed to Spy not me It's Spy who believes that if a striker doesn't score then he's not doing work for the team. I even used that bolded as example for Spy too. I don't know why you're thinking this message needs to be directed to me and not Spy tbh |

Spy360: So one can rightly and boldly say that Nketiah is a better striker right now than Jesus? As Jesus has been profligate (wasteful) and Nketiah is prolific?
If you say he brings other things apart from scoring (a lazy way to defend your point) why then are we concerned about his poor goals output?
Let me remind you that my stand is for Jesus to get less involved on those "other things" and focus a little more on scoring. This is the only thing Arteta will work on. He is not going to teach Jesus how to score goals like he is a feeder player.
I have mentioned other top scoring strikers and how they get less involved in buildup compared to Jesus. Nketiah who is now playing his role in exactly the same set up is scoring goals. Check his heat map and compare with Jesus's and see why Jesus isn't scoring.
I hope he gets back soon and learn a thing from Nketiah and you will note the difference. Saying Jesus is not a clinical striker is an insult to the sacrifice, effort and talent he displays. That I'm concerned about Jesus not scoring is because he misses chances he ordinarily should have scored as a player (forward). I was once vocal here about Saka not being clinical enough prior to last season (where I sometimes criticize him too). Maybe you didn't observe but Roland did and when Saka started scoring consistently last season, Roland reminded me that hope I've now seen that Saka have started scoring. So no, it's not because he's a striker I'm being concerned... It's because he's a forward. It doesn't matter if you're Jesus or Martinelli or Saka, as long as you're part of my attacker, once you've opportunity to score please do. And while I understand your point but my point is this. That Jesus becomes involved in other things doesn't in any way prevent him from scoring or affects his chances of scoring. Nunez misses chances, nobody talks about him involved. Werner misses chances too, maybe he too is involved like Jesus. And yes, they can teach. You think club will just hire attacking coach just for phases. Even Rashford said Ole taught him to always put ball in-between the GK legs when through on goal. Saka acknowledged how Arteta taught him to put the ball high up to score in a tight angle (his goal against Leeds this season). Report talked about how Arteta was working with Martinelli last season when fans where crying about why he doesn't want to unleash him. So many examples. Lastly I don't know what you mean by the bolded. Jesus isn't clinical this season (misses chances frequently), I say it as it is and you said I'm insulting him? What concerns sacrifice and efforts with me talking about our player missing quality chances biko? |

Havertz10: Your arguments are fictional, if mount was that valuable, how come 2/3 of Chelsea fans want him gone?
Your problem is you want to banter but you are too lazy to source the information
89% of the things you stated are wrong, it’s not even funny at this point it’s sad
As for havertz’s position, I remember someone teasing me here that I would change my moniker to havertz9, i’m not saying that he can’t play 9, my issue is he wouldn’t influence the game like he does playing as 10, and we don’t even create enough for him to play 9
Opinions change, my decision to pivot to 9 was temporary, I even said it when I accepted the situation
Lastly, being lazy to do your own research is one thing, being too lazy to comprehend is a serious problem
the stat clearly shows that whenever he got the ball, chances of a Chelsea goal were higher
It literally stated there - threat - Lol... You didn't know he was creative when he was deployed in the middle or wing and you were busy shouting "start Havertz as 9 cos that's where he'll cook" This your Amala no done well sha |

Spy360: It's simple. But if I ask you why he isn't clinical you will turn eba.
Ok, why is Jesus not clinical? Lol... It's simple. Wrong decision making when through on goalI remember last year when I brought pictures of all the wrong decision making he's made and how he's making it hard for himself when he could have simply kept it simple to score (something Saka Martinelli and Nketiah are doing) but you dismissed it as me spamming here with pictures. Now you're asking me again why is he not clinical? This is something I believe Arteta will work on tho. If he can work on Sterling profligacy and improve Saka goalscoring too, then I don't think I'll complain of Jesus's profligacy for far too long |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Jodera2: 1:24pm On Jan 11, 2023 |
Havertz10: Most times , when I read the things that you write, I usually kill the conversation there but today, you have taken being ridiculous to another level
Mbappe played a final against Bayern and lost, missed big chances too
Mount didn’t drag havertz anywhere, if you watched that final, it was obvious that someone had to stand up in that attack for us to stand a chance, our defense was ok but we really needed our attackers to perform, havertz already showed glimpses against Madrid in the semi, but that final, he carried our attack, Chelsea fans might troll him but forget bants, they recognize his value, ask them to list their eleven for a final and havertz is the first name, guy was so good, they made a song about his exploits
The idea of clutch is that a player can raise their game level when it matters, we don’t create enough chances, every time we were in a clutch moment and the chance fell to havertz, he usually buries it
He just isn’t consistent, which is why I drag mount cause havertz could easily be the linchpin of our attack, but instead we are wasting him as 9 Lemme start with the bolded. Should I bring receipts of the bolded where you always claimed that Havertz at 9 is where he'll cook and that any other places is where he's been wasted?(I get them plenty) In fact on many occasions you've derided Tuchel for playing him away from the 9 position. Now that GP decides to use him In 9, you're still saying he's wasting away at 9? You see how you're confusing thunder. Some of una need Zigzag thunder for this place Secondly, the fix pix below shows that Havertz Is a big choker. Havertz is the player who had the most increased chance of scoring as a receiver in the entire 22 players on the pitch yet he couldn't even muster one goal. No wonder he's a big flop. As for the 2nd picture, it just shows you guys have no clutch player at all when system fails. Mount could have been that guy but obviously he's tired and underwhelmed this season. The only season he wouldn't compete for you club's POTY is probably the only season you guys couldn't make top 4 since his arrival. No wonder all the team that puts their hope on Havertz underwhelms when he's the main man. From Chelsea this season to German NT |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Jodera2: 11:25am On Jan 11, 2023 |
Havertz10: Havertz has more champions league final wins than all of them combined
I rate Messi, Cruyff, Zidane and so many more, I don’t know why most of you assume that I only rate havertz
I get that you are trying to undermine my judgment, fair game
But I don’t rate shit average players that don’t perform when it matters, I rate players that excel even better against the best
True Greatness Maybe if Mbappe is dragged to UCL final by Mount the way Mount drag Havertz, he'll certainly have wins to his name. Afterall no final wey Mbappe never score. The way you talk " shit, average and flops when it matters most", the perfect picture I'm just seeing is Havertz. If Havertz is really a clutch player or generational talent as you claim, he'll be turning you guys draws to wins and Losses to draws. Certainly Una for no dey 10th . But nah, he's waiting for Mount to do the work to carry him. Mount don kukuma taya. Winning back to back POTY as well as carrying Havertz for back don finally take its toll on him |
