Good day house. Pls I have a serious issue at hand... I misplaced my degree certificate and my school in Ghana refuse to issue another one. I used only my degree transcript for IQAS assessment for educational purpose. IQAS reports read that my degree is equivalent to Canadian 4yrs degree but states that its a B.Sc partial completion which i don't understand. Now that i want to use WES with no degree certificate. Will there be any issue for me |

kayvine4u: kayvine4u Since your ultimate goal is to apply for EE/PNP in the future i would advise that you patiently wait for April 2019 batch as 2019 is fast approaching. By the time you do the cost/benefit analysis of either having M.sc in the UK or Canada and considering your end goal "PR" Canada would be the best option because you might be engaged in a paid employment while studying, you will apply for PGWP after your program which would add up to your point for EE application. Yes, UK M.sc would boost your points a little but you have to think about the continuous rise in Canadian CRS which is highly competitive for Masters holders unless with a high IELTS score. Canadian PGWP will give you additional points for Canadian work experience and it is the easiest path to achieving your end goal. I hope this helps. 2 Likes |

makano: I do not think this has anything to do with the VO's mood. The system makes it possible for them to refuse Nigerians visa with flimsy excuses. An ICCRC certified Attorney once told me that over 85% of Nigerian applicants are being denied Canadian Study visa. I suppose these VOs are given monthly quotas and once they meet their monthly target they cast die or do oje-koje to decide on who to approve/deny visa. The system has been designed to create wealth for Canada's economy. 5 Likes |

kristlike: This thread is strictly for Canadian study permit applicants. I am sorry to disappoint you as your endless questions are outside the scope of our discourse here... The Almighty Google could be of great help to you if you make her your closest friend because she has answers to all your questions. I hope this is helpful. 2 Likes |

kristlike: Sorry to say that you were ill-advised as there is no iota truth in what this 'your so-called adviser' told you. You might end up in the class-room only if you studied Finance in education. You have a very good grade in Finance, still young in age if i guessed correctly and have a good prospect to work with investment banks, CBN etc. My candid advice for you is to apply for M.sc in Finance and that would enhance your exposure in finance rather going for an MBA which is basically designed for highly experienced business managers or executives. Besides, while enrolled in M.sc Finance you could enroll for CFA exams ; CFA is the climax of Finance certification, it is highly marketable globally and i advise you consider this certification rather than MBA for the achievement of your dreamed career. Do not accept what anyone tells you without personally conducting intensive research/findings especially when it has to do with your career. I wish you a successful career. 4 Likes |

jnyuwa02: Please I am considering the possibility of changing my school to University of Saskatchewan for a masters program in Finance with a second class upper division. Please is GMAT mandatory for a second class upper division in Accounting. Also is advance payment of fee a prerequisite for issuing acceptance letter by USASK. Will be highly grateful for your response. |

Frankrobbn1: I didn't disclose her pregnancy in my SOP but I clearly stated that I am married and even attached our marriage certificate. My brother is my only sponsor but i provided evidential document of bequeathed property and stated that my wife would be the one collecting rents from my tenants to fend for herself and our child in Nigeria while am studying in Canada. I have no company and I clearly stated this in my SOP. Thanks for the advise brother. I will apply for GCMS note. |

Good day to the Gurus in the house and distinguished Nairalanders. My Study permit application was refused for the second time. I was initially refused in London on the ground of purpose of visit. I put up a strong SOP to convince the VO why I would return to Nigeria after my studies. Provided evidence of personal investments, bequeathed building from my late Father, included my admission letter which stated that payment of school fee can only be done after receiving study permit and other strong points which I did not include in my first application, but after notifying IRCC of changes in my status that my wife put to bed and stated that I have made adequate provisions for their up keep I was slapped with a refusal by nairobi in two hours after sending the message. This time nairobi stated four reasons for refusal even though I took my time to prepare a very strong SOP. I do not know whether I did wrong by informing IRCC of changes in status cos I know it is mandatory to reveal such changes to IRCC so as to update your profile. I AM NOT GIVING UP YET.

Lagos2canna: Yes boss... Currently on a low-key hoping for a favourable result. Just need to divert my attention from unnecessary worries cos it's not worth it. I have seen the worse and prepared for the worst should it surface. The VO in charge of my case has been reviewing my eligibility and checking background since August 7th. Hope there is progress with your application. Thanks for checking. |

Dera12345: Sorry about your TRV refusal. I think you will be taking a right decision deferring your admission to the next calendar year as you have ample time to request for your GCMS note, thoroughly scrutinise reasons for TRV refusal, seek advice where needed and rearrange proper documents for reapplication to avoid a reocurrence. It is not possible to work in Canada without a work permit, it even against your assertion that your primary purpose of visiting is to school. I hope this helps. |

Dantezago12: Did you check the processing time when you applied? If yes, you have no reason to be worried. You will be duly contacted at the appropriate time besides your application is still fresh as some June applicants are still waiting. Just pray and hope for a favourable decision. I hope this helps. |

harde116: Yes... No one here is VO, infallible nor knows it all when it comes to Canadian visa application but we can not deny the fact, there are people here with deep experience and knowledge about the subject matter and are of immense help to many especially the newbies. I have benefited a lot from this platform and still learning from the experience shared by others. If you check the profile of some people here, they did not join this platform few months ago like me but have been here for years and have contributed to the success of many and are still doing same. I think some people should grow up and learn to take responsibilities for their actions. Mature minds do not cast aspersions when they fail or make mistakes in life. I believe every advise dished out here is to guide those who ask questions and it is expected that you do your home work by carrying out personal research in comparison to advice received rather than swallowing it all hook line and sinker. Discourse like this is baseless and could only discourage people from being helpful to others. I rest my case. 4 Likes |
