The confidence was there right before the first goal. We were all over them. This team can play good attacking football while keeping a good shape at the back bro.

I'm not saying we should sit at the edge of the opponents box but we should be able to defend when we need to and then take the game to opposition like we did today. Not sit down in our half for huge chunks of the game just waiting for the other team to give us the ball or make a mistake.

1. Beautiful, attacking, free flowing football.
2. No more defensive approach to games.
3. Rashford or Martial on the left.(preferably Martial)

We can't play like this every week, infact when Mourinho was asked in the post match interview if he loved seeing united playing with the swagger of old and looked confident.. he said the confidence was because the team was up with a couple of goals and the opponent had not scored one because if they have scored and brought on Sakho n the rest then his team would have had to keep the ball and pass it around which would be boring but maintains the balance. Compare this to Ferguson whose teams would rather keep attacking even if it was 3-2. So lets not get our hopes up.

Rose is another good LB I don't mind us going for. The reason I didn't list him as an option during this transfer period was coz of Levy and his high price tag on Tottenham players, in addition to Rose's injury record. Barring his injury record, I'll be elated to have Rose in our ranks. He's very good. Rose and a Martial partnership will be priceless.

There's just too much imbalance in our team and it's really shocked me how Mourinho didn't prioritize these areas before anything. The LB and RW positions are dead. On the LB position we should go all out for Rose if he becomes available. Maybe to soothe Levy we make a player exchange plus cash with Shaw. One crocked guy returning from injury for another and both with massive potentials. For me i am off the Shaw hype train, We can't be waiting on a player who has not had up to 10 fantastic games for us compared with one who has been delivering at Tottenham.

What will Martial ever do to make Mourinho play him? Imagine martial and rashford playing from the wings, it would have not been so easy for Marcelo and Carvajal knowing the dribbling speedsters coming towards them. That was the obvious combination to start the match or after scoring a goal and at no point did we see it. Atleast with Fellaini in for aerial balls, those two will be on the wings to cause problems. A lot of people won't say it, but for me those two guys offer more from the wings than all the 10's in attack in our team. Surprisingly they are not wingers.

I must however say Nemanja Matic surprised me. I expect this team to be dominant this season though.

The only United fan on this thread. He played badly at points in the game but if someone who didn't see the match where to judge by comments here, you'd think he couldn't even make one pass all day. I think his problem is being over confident in his abilities, especially when we manage to get a goal in a game or controlling the game. Mourinho doesn't know how to handle him yet and it's a shame a manager of such caliber will be letting some 23 year old kid play like he owns the team.
