I watched his interview this morning and i am yet to see a player more confident of himself. It's almost as if he has won 10 champions league titles the way he talks. The girl interviewing him was just laughing and smiling and probably getting wet listening to such confidence. Today's players need a slice of that display of confidence. The type that doesn't waver no matter the difficulty faced. It's why i was so annoyed with martials fragile mentality last season allowing some off-field marital issues and loosing some number affect his performance. I felt like breaking his head inside the TV anytime i saw the way he's contribution was dwindling and i am suspecting it might well be now Zlatan is back. I hope Zlatan keeps influencing the players positively, especially Lukaku who seems receptive to learning and developing better.

He would have to. Lukaku is our main striker and Zlatan coming back from such an injury would be a back up because it would be difficult to get in and start firing right away. I am not worried as Mourinho kept saying he'll help out in the second half of the season which means he'll be an option when Lukaku is tiring because of fixture pileup. Lukaku would do well to learn a lot from the way he plays his games btw and we'll all be better for it this season and seasons to come.

Even though Zlatan has slowed down over the years and is not what he used to be 10 years back, this guy for all his bullish attitude is a super human. Coming back from his type of injury for any pro athlete is at best 1 year and additional months to get back to full fitness even with top class medicare. And to want to return back to a league where breaking leg is their work rather than escape to china or US for one last big pay day is amazing. Seeing him walk of the pitch, rather than on a stretcher was the first stage of beating this injury. This guy is the perfect role model to young players and players like Jack Wihshere and Daniel Sturridge who can't stay fit to save their lives.

Last season was his first season, back from the Euros, no preseason, last season he was the most expensive player in the world, last season he was being milked for ad revenues as there was a lot of hype around his signing, last season he was struggling to grapple with the English game, Last season he was getting to understand what his manager wanted from him... This season with two matches already the stats speak for themselves. There's no basis on which an argument that he flops when he has a new haircut stands. Players flop from time to time, even Ibrahimovic for all his experience flopped a couple of times last season, no one blamed his pony hair for it.
