Chelsea have completed the signing of RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner, subject to a medical.

The Germany international has agreed a five-year deal at Stamford Bridge and becomes Chelsea's second signing of the summer after Ajax's Hakim Ziyech.

Chelsea have agreed to pay €50m (£45m) to trigger the release clause of Werner, who is set to earn more than €10m (£9m) per season in England.

Discussing his move to west London, Werner told the official Chelsea website: "I am delighted to be signing for Chelsea, it is a very proud moment for me to be joining this great club.
"I of course want to thank RB Leipzig, the club and the fans, for four fantastic years. You will forever be in my heart.


"I look forward to next season with my new team-mates, my new manager and of course the Chelsea fans. Together we have a very successful future ahead of us."

Werner has made a total of 157 appearances for RB Leipzig, scoring 93 goals and making 40 assists, developing into one of Europe's most coveted forwards.

The 24-year-old will remain with RB Leipzig for the remainder of the Bundesliga season before joining up with his new team-mates next month.

His current employers have backed Werner to be a success in the Premier League and Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia, speaking to the Chelsea website, added: "We are very excited that Timo Werner has chosen to join Chelsea.

I had this friend as a doctor in one of the hospital in Lagos, he said why we have must cases in Nigeria is because, any nurse or hospital that reported one Covid 19 patient are entitled to 20k per patient and if you have one Covid 19 death in your hospital, you're entitled to 100k per one Covid 19 patient.. this benefits are directly from FG.. but I don't know how true this was..

Common Drug Reduces Coronavirus Deaths, Scientists Report

A steroid, dexamethasone, is the first drug shown to help save severely ill coronavirus patients, according to scientists in Britain.

LONDON — In an unexpected sign of hope amid the expanding pandemic, scientists at the University of Oxford said on Tuesday that an inexpensive and commonly available drug reduced deaths in patients with severe Covid-19, the illness caused by the coronavirus.

If the finding is borne out, the drug, a steroid called dexamethasone, would be the first treatment shown to reduce mortality in severely ill patients. Had doctors been using the drug to treat the sickest Covid-19 patients in Britain from the beginning of the pandemic, up to 5,000 deaths could have been prevented, the researchers estimated.

In severe cases, the virus directly attacks cells lining the patient’s airways and lungs. But the infection also can prompt an overwhelming immune reaction that is just as harmful. Three-quarters of hospitalized Covid-19 patients receive some form of oxygen.

The drug appears to reduce inflammation caused by the immune system, protecting the tissues. In the study, dexamethasone reduced deaths of patients on ventilators by one-third, and deaths of patients on oxygen by one-fifth.

The trial led by Dr. Horby was a randomized, controlled clinical trial, the gold standard for medical research. About 2,100 severely ill Covid-19 patients were given low doses of dexamethasone, orally or intravenously, once a day. Their outcomes were compared with 4,300 patients who had received the usual care.

The trial was stopped early, because the investigators felt that the benefit was obvious. But they said that the drug did not help moderately ill patients who were not receiving oxygen.

Governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) under the auspices of the Progressives Governors Forum (PGF) have stated their resolve to intervene in the current crises rocking both Edo and Ondo State chapters of the party.
The APC governors’ intervention was coming after the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party had already affirmed the disqualification of Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki from the June 22 primary election.

The two other aspirants also disqualified by the screening committee and which their disqualification was upheld by the Appeal Committee and subsequently affirmed by the NWC were Mr. Chris Ogiemwonyi and Mr. Matthew Iduoriyekemwen.

The Chairman of the Forum and Governor of Kebbi State, Abubakar Bagudu, in a statement issued on Sunday after a teleconference meeting of the governors held on Saturday, said that they had resolved to work for the unity of the party.
He stated: “Unanimously reaffirmed the commitment of all Progressive Governors to work for the unity of our party.

“Collectively agreed to work to ensure strengthening fair and democratic internal party mechanism for the selection of party candidates in all elections, especially in respect of Edo and Ondo States 2020 governorship elections.

“Forum members are confident that the party will resolve all current challenges and emerge stronger.”

I laugh from Ekiti.. I meet this lady somewhere at Idimu in Alimosho Local government here in Lagos. I stay at Egbeda.. I just went to a eatery with some friends on one Sunny Sunday like that, and we hooked up right there, we exchanged numbers, when I got home I called her and we fixed the next weekend to meet up for a lunch at the same eatery we meet. When I got to the eatery, the funniest things i experienced that day was that, this lady came with 2 of her friends, immediately I saw her with her friends, I asked her, are you here alone and she said, she's with 2 of her friends just for security reasons.. I was like WTF. I asked her to order for anything she care for. Immediately I saw her friends stood up with her to order as well. And I called her and asked her, who's going to be responsible for what your friends is about to order. She said. You of course. I just smile a little bit and I told her. My dear you're the one I invited, not your family, if you can't responsible for the bills of your friends... I guess I made a mistake by inviting you.. not because I don't have the money to pay for whatever they ordered, I have enough, but girls just believed once a guy asked them out. One has already own them billing....and she said, I don't know you're broke ass nigga. I was just smiling and one of my guys followed the scenario.. and the guy said. Guy why you go invite this I never chop girl who can't even pay for what she eat. And 3 of them walked out.. so girls try to be self independent in your own. Don't always depend on guys. We don't own u a shit.
