Which fight scenes are you expecting in an environment that has strict laws about fighting? The whole film is centred around the hospital and it's nurse so what action are you expecting??

It seems people just watch movies for the fights alone. You actually don't give attention to the themes and premises, which is why they fail to see the beauty of this wonderful movie

"strict laws about fighting" yeah right, but the french Lady killed someone, and not just anybody but the so-called wolf King. That rule was supposed to be broken because they are criminals ffs.
To be honest I like slow burners more but that doesn't mean that I don't enjoy a good action movie. I mean look at 'Upgrade' it was so on point. We saw futuristic elements, superb acting, every character in the movie had a role to play, the fight scenes were quite good as well and to top it off the twist at the end was just perfect. I mean even my sister that is a Nollywood fan, watched the movie with me and she enjoyed it.

Too many loopholes in 'Hotel Artemis' but then again, if u like it I guess it's your choice. As for me the movie is a 5/10 and that's me being generous

U have a point there because if the movie had been longer then maybe the plot would have been developed sufficiently enough to make someone enjoy the movie. The movie is all about talk, but very little action to back it. For instance, the way they talked about that kingpin"no body steals from him" blah blah, they hyped him to the point where one would even think he is Thanos, but at the end he was just useless, they didn't even give us a little insight into his background. Even his son was a bigger disappointment.
Waikiki too was just an embarrassment. If he's not babysitting his brother, he is busy sulking.
Even the french lady that was being touted as a dangerous assassin blah blah blah, just one fight scene
Don't even get me started on that useless talkative that was busy calling for helicopter, I don't even know his role in the movie.
I mean the so-called hotel was supposed to be a den of thieves, criminally minded elements u know but it was damn boring than a monastery.
I just felt like the movie was incomplete. That's why I don't trust all these movies with run time of one and half hours unless comedies.
Anyways I'm already erasing it from my memory with Ozark season 2.

Mehn! The movie was just there, alot of people talking tough but nothing. Was hoping for some real action, but at the end it just reminded me why I prefer watching series. Because it's hard to find a good movie, and each wrong choice is painful because of the amount of Data wasted in downloading them.

I wish this thread could go back to when you can give your opinion about a movie without being overly scrutinized. Tired of scrolling through over stretched argument about old movies.. pleasssssss stop the arguments and give us a simple review about a movie you have seen recently without being dramatic. If you hate a movie, you shouldn't expect everyone to feel the same way.

To be honest I enjoy it. Keep an open mind, u just might too

Please someone should help me with a good deal on a gaming laptop. I can't search for it on OfferUp because it doesn't allow me send messages or make offers. please I need it for school and work, but I can't afford these ones in Naija so I felt it would be cheaper through OfferUp. Amma killed all the girls. That's the big twist.

If you watch that scene again properly, you'd see the whole "ivory" floor of the dollhouse was made from teeth, human teeth, teeth belonging to the dead girls. Incidentally, that's where the title of the miniseries derived it's name from. The "Sharp objects" are "teeth".

The show is so intelligently made that it's mind blowing. The show tried to show us the identity of the killer from the get-go.

- First clue, the title: Sharp Objects. It tried to tell us that something sharp will play a pivotal role in the plot
- 2nd clue, Amma's dollhouse teeth covered ivory floor: It wanted us to add 2 and 2 together.
- 3rd clue, the dead girl with all her teeth pulled out: It wanted us to connect the missing teeth to the teeth covered ivory floor.
- 4th clue, Amma and her accomplices always disobeying the curfew law. The show tried again to point us to Amma being the serial killer, for the fact she's not afraid to go out after hours curfew. When you're the serial killer, you have nothing to fear.
- 5th clue: Amma's name is an anagram of Mama. The loudest of the clue. (I will elaborate more on this later).

We overlooked all these clues, cuz we didn't know what to look for. Amma wasn't a suspect, so our attention weren't focus on her, at all. Our brains were contemplating other things/suspects, and didn't pay attention to details.

Only much later, after the season finale after credits big reveal, that all these tacit hints started to make a lot of sense. If/When you watch the show again, you can see just how brilliantly the dots were spread out, with smokescreen thrown out to distract you from the connecting them all together.

Adora was one of these smokescreens. Yes, she's guilty of killing her dead daughter, and poisoning Camille and Amma with rat poison, but she didn't kill the dead girls. Amma did.

So, at the season finale last scene, when Camille pulled out a tooth from the dollhouse, and agonizingly realized that it's her little sister, Amma that killed the girls, Amma slyly said to her "Don't tell Mama." Amma is anagram for mama (look at the 5th clue). Amma knowing at the moment that her secrets were finally out, taunted Camille. "Don't tell mama" is another way of saying, "Let this be our little secret." Amma was Mama. The lady in white.

Sharp Objects is a masterpiece.

Was almost tempted to read, but this is me ignoring any spoilers.

Action from beginning to end. Simple plot but crazy action. There was also enough comedy and banter in the movie.


There were some interesting new facts about the predators that came out in this movie.
