This is the reason why as Christians we need to be detribalized and devoid of hate. Even though I'm a born again Christian, the hatred Christians have for Muslims cum Fulanis is the reason why they blame every killing in plateau and middle belt on fulani herdsmen. The media has successfully demonized Muslims and Fulanis with fake reports and unverified news. This is why i like organizations like MURIC always fighting for the interest of Muslims while we Christians have no one but the greedy politicized CAN. Instead of preaching love amongst all Nigerians, our useless bishops like Oyedepo is busy preaching hatred while attention seeking celebrities are blackmailing the federal government. We Christians are truly the problems in this country .

I read a post by a friend castigating Oyedepo and other Christians leaders for their stance on the Plateau and Benue killings.
According to him; saying there is an Islamic undertone to the violence is heating the policy as Muslim leaders can also begin the same campaign against Christians.
Though, I think its more of an ethnic than a religious fracas, The widely reported incidence of an Imam hiding 200+ Christians caught my attention.
The question begging for answers is why the Imam was confident his house will not be attacked, If actually the killings are random as been purported.
Why did those people (Christians) run there if not that they think the Imams house will not be attacked.
I don't want to mention the reluctance on the side of the military and police in the whole sequence, which rules out the possibility of it been political.
So many issues about this killing seems wierd, however when properly analyzed smear of not just ethnic but religious intent as being propagated by these Pastors.

Former President, Goodluck Jonathan, has reacted to the 17 achievements of President Muhammadu Buhari in 2017, listed by the Presidency, on Friday.
Jonathan who reacted through Reno Omokri, his erstwhile Aide on New Media, disclosed that the achievements were an embarrassment for the Buhari administration.

“And how can this propagandist regime list bumper harvest as achievements, when the latest Global Hunger Index published by the US-based International Food Policy Research Institute, indicates that hunger has increased in Nigeria?
“And stating that ‘the Nigeria Customs Service recorded its highest-ever revenue collection, crossing the One Trillion Naira (N1,000,000,000) mark’, is nothing short of fraud.

Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, has declared that he will accept the numerous endorsements by different ethnic nationalities when he receives their firm assurance that they will defend their votes in 2019.

He stated that the way that the All Progressives Congress (APC) led-federal government has failed in all areas, it will set out to write results in 2019, hence the need for the people to defend their votes.

Wike, who spoke yesterday at a civic reception organised in his honour by the Apara Kingdom in Port Harcourt, said, “I will declare when you assure me you are ready to protect our votes.”
“The way Nigeria is going today, the APC-led Federal Government is only prepared to write results. But this time, the results will write them”

The governor stated that the APC has failed Nigerians, stating that the current fuel scarcity is a sad confirmation of the suffering that the citizens face under their leadership.

He said, “Even if there is fuel, there is no money to buy fuel. Today, the exchange rate of the dollar to naira has degenerated and prices of foodstuffs have gone beyond the reach of Nigerians. They deceived Nigerians with all kinds of lies, but today they are compounding the problems of the people.”

Wike assured the people of Apara Kingdom that he will not let them down, saying he will continue to churn out developmental projects.
The governor said, “I will continue to remain focused. Some people did not expect us to perform very excellently, but we have been able to put them to shame.”

He stated that he is developing Rivers State because he wants to walk the streets after leaving office without being guarded by soldiers like those who failed the people.

In his remarks, Eze Oha Apara, Eze C. A. Worlu-Wodo announced that the people of Apara Kingdom have endorsed Wike for a second term. He urged him to present himself for a second term.

Worlu-Wodo stated that the governor has transformed Rivers State with good governance. He said that the state has become outstanding.

Hundreds of Muslim demonstrators have stormed a Coptic church in Egypt calling for it to be demolished.

A hostile mob wreaked havoc in the building by wrecking sacred objects and attacking worshippers after gathering outside during Friday prayers.
During the brief siege the demonstrators chanted offensive slogans and called for the church's demolition, the diocese in Atfih said.


The wounded were transferred to a nearby hospital after security guards dispersed the mob. The nature of their injuries is not known.
The church in Giza, just outside of Cairo, is yet to be sanctioned by the state but has been observing prayers for 15 years.

The diocese said it had officially sought to legalize the building's status under a 2016 law that laid down the rules for building churches.
Local authorities often refuse to give building permits for new churches, fearing protests by Muslim conservatives.
That has prompted Christians to illegally build churches or set up churches in other buildings. In contrast, building a mosque results in few restrictions.

Christians constitute 10 percent of Egypt's mostly Muslim population. Sectarian violence occasionally erupts, mainly in rural communities in the south.
Egypt's Christian minority has often been targeted by Islamic militants in a series of attacks since December 2016 that left more than 100 dead and scores wounded.

The country has been under a state of emergency since April after suicide bombings struck two Coptic Christian churches on Palm Sunday in an attack that was claimed by the Egyptian affiliate the Islamic State group.
