RoyalMail:bro if its your first time don't go organic yet |
Our Growers mash is not meant for broilers at all!....Nigerian commercial feed mills don't prepare grower for broilers. If not you will hear something broiler growers mash /pellet just like broiler starter and broiler finisher. The nutritional component of our commercial growers feed can never meet the nutritional requirement of broiler. Grower is too poor for broilers. It's just a maintainance feed mainly for pullets from 8 weeks of age. Some countries prepare grower for broilers and is far richer from the grower in Nigeria. KBC has grower/intermediate for broilers from 18th day to 37th day I think. The best way to raise broilers is just using starter and finisher phase .even if you want to keep them for a longer time which is not even advisable.....use only starter and finisher and do "restricted feeding" after using starter instead of "ad libitium" some people use layer mash instead of grower mash for broilers if they want to keep them for a longer time but I may not advice that since layers feed has more calcium which the layers need for egg formation while broilers don't need them. Excess calcium will affect the internal organs of any bird. Your birds will eat more if you use growers mash! |
Anoruo:in chinyere udoma's voice...curse your god, curse your god and die.. |
jfkenny:yes we have....but on rare occasions... Genetic mutation can cause that. You can even see birds with black plumage even brown. That maybe one in a hundred or even one in a thousand. It depends... |
CplusJason:if he stands at a place and recite his script like a poem do you think he will get the role of a gate keeper? |
jfkenny:Thank God your birds are OK now but let me point out something..... Brown poo is not always coccidiosis and let's mind how we use cocci drugs because from my observation they tend to retard growth a little especially sulpha based ones though i may not be right about this. Ionophores works better. They serve as growth promoters too |
noeloge82:it seems you don't understand what I mean sir. Enrofloxacin based drugs is not compatible with tetracycline family which we all know but not all manufacturers state that. That is not even the case... My point is you don't mix multivitamins that contains Vitamin B especially B9 ...even B1 and anti cocci drugs. Did you know, its not advisable to combine multivitamins and antibiotics for therapeutic purpose because multivitamins tend to reduce the action of antibiotics? New things evolve everyday but I believe all these may not be new. Thanks |
kayo80:the drug you administered, dosage and how long did you use it? Hope you checked the expiary date |
Well done sir |
DogWhisperer:That should be a respiratory distress in order words CRD. Few things could cause that. The maize in the feed if not well dried, mild form of Newcastle or the pneumotropic strain could come with respiratory distress too. Crd itself could be the major cause but post morterm will give you the final answer. I will tell you how I handle such case but remember what works for me may not work for you when it comes to poultry. If no mortality for PM, I administer garlic and ginger when the symptoms are not well pronounced. It will only work at the early stage of the onset of the disease. Then vaccinate against Newcastle disease. If symptom persist, I administer Tylo-fura or tylodox. If I have any mortality I treat based on the lesions I observed. My little opinion though. . . Thank you. I stand to be corrected! |
noeloge82:yes they come with vitamins but have you noticed they normally come with a particular set of vitamins ;mostly vitamins K and A. Vitamin K helps to stop the bloody stool. Vitamin A helps in healing. Vitamin B9 which is folic acid serves as nutrient to the occyst thereby increasing the spread of coccidiosis. It can never help a case of coccidiosis. 99% of multivitamins in the market contains folic acid(Vitamin B9). Hence, it is not advisable to mix anti cocci/coccidistats with multivitamins. Thank you |
noeloge82:well-done oga noel. ..you are really doing a great job. God will bless you . I wish I have time, I did love to help my fellow farmers especially those that are new in the business. Please I want to point out something. Its not good to mix any anti cocci with multivitamins especially the ones that contains folic acid. Folic acid is just like a fertilizer to the deadly protozoan. The disease may cause more harm when you mix anti cocci drugs with multivitamins. Thanks |
