Ayimperial1: danherb, sorry about the late reply. My Form A process took less than 2 months and I used Gtbank. My Account Officer was nice enough to help me through the process.
As for my VISA,I am yet to submit my application. Though I was meant to submit my VISA application by January 19th,2023 but my VISA Agent advised that it's safer to submit 6 months to my resumption and not earlier. Since my resumption is September 6th,so she advised I submit by March 6th. Hopefully I get my VISA by the end of June. Go ahead with the application. Applying early or not wont affect your application response time. Don't listen to your agent |

ChubaKC: Thank you so much Joge
It was when I joined this platform I noticed my mistakes on the type of applications for my dependents; it would’ve been SOWP for spouse and study permit also for the kids. I think that’s why they have “purpose of visit” issue. But do you think it will be ok if I change that and reapply again for the entire family, maybe find a way to top up the fund to say 15m through gift deed and then include a sponsorship letter from our registered company. For proof of ties, we added 4 land, vehicle, spouse business registration and company registration, does it seems not to be enough ties? For now, i personally think you should apply alone. With 15M, and your spouse, children ,properties as home ties, accompanied with the fact that you have GRA, you should be fine. |

ChubaKC: It is well! Got refused this morning. Family of 6 (primary applicant inclusive)
Reason: Primary applicant- financial capacity and assets Other family members- financial capacity and purpose of visit
School admission hint: Admission- Jan 5 (now deferred to Sep 5 but not yet updated to IRCC) Tuition per year - 8874cad (now 9300cad) No tuition deposit required GRA appointment offer: 2000cad minimum monthly
Applications: Primary Applicant: Study permit (PhD 4-6yrs program) Other 5 family members: Visitors visa
Few Doc submitted due to size:
Primary applicant; -GRA offer letter stating min 2k cad monthly -Personal 4 months account statement- 10.5m balance -Pension statement- 2.5m -Personal Land Survey plan - 4 different plots (deeds not included cos of size) -Company CAC docs only (husb & wife directors) attached on wife client section and no financial doc attached cos of size -One Vehicle registration documents -School certificate & transcript -previous research publications -SOP -LOE -Authorization for leave from place of work
Dependents: -application for Visitors visa for all -Wife credentials and CAC doc for our company and one other business registration -LOE stating that spouse will bear all financial obligations through personal account and GRA offer -parents consent letter for children
Please I need to resubmit these applications as soon as possible. I need advice on what to do differently pls.
@bullstriker and other gurus in the platform I need your support pls
See attached You should have applied alone using your family and other properties as home ties or you could have applied for work permit for your spouse and paid your first semester at least. Anyway, don't give up. Re-fire the canon! |

Boovyspookyann: Good day my people I’m new to naira land and I don’t know how to post yet sometimes last year around July I applied for a masters degree in pharmacology in university of Manitoba for winter 2023 but I was rejected due to a reason I don’t know cos i had my bachelors degree in human anatomy and it is related to the course i have a total cgpa of 3.60 out of a 5.00 cgpa and my gpa are as follows for the last two years of study 3.45 out of 5.00,3.75 out of 5.00, 4.17 and 4.67 out of 5.00 scale. Recently I picked my self up and applied again for masters of public health In university of Saskatchewan and memorial university of Newfoundland and the fear of not gaining admission is there for me I don’t know what to do was it my cgpa that didn’t allow them to pick me the first time or I actually did something wrong anyone that has been in my shoe before should actually advise me cos I think I’m going crazy and I haven’t heard from them yet Hi. I was in your position last year. Reasons for your rejection could be as a result of your BSC not being in relation to the field you applied for in your masters or supervisory resources might not be available. For me, it was because there was no supervisor on ground. Late 2022, i reapplied to two universities. University of Manitoba and University of Saskatchewan. I made sure my courses of choice didn't require having a supervisor before applying. Still awaiting for my decision though. You could email me your whatapp contact so that i can add you to university of Saskatchewan group. |

Eseosajoy: Good Morning everyone
Please gurus in the house I’m a bit confused. For study permit visa application will one be submitting SOP or LOE? Or both? From the Canada website I saw LOE.
But I’ve been seeing people submitting SOP. Are they the same please? And if they’re not what’s the difference please? LOE (Letter of explanation): used when you have been denied before. You explain why you were denied and how you have approached to convince the VO about being offered visa this time around SOP( statement of purpose): first time applicants |

fajimytee: Hi Everyone. I have gone through the thread, and its been really helpful. I am looking to apply for a Post Graduate Diploma or Master degree for my brothers wife with a Second class lower degree in Yoruba Education from Tai Solarin University of Education. I will like your advise on the possible options and if there is a change to get a admitted for a Masters degree in Education (which is the preferred option) offered by University of Saskatchewan.
Funding will be covered by the husband for school fees and proof of funds.
Note she intend to travel with her husband and 2 kids.
Thank You. Firstly, i want to believe the last two years of her transcript falls within the range of a 2.1 If this is the case, i would want you to consider Msc. However, if this isn't the case, a PGD might be appropriate. Find a course relating to language and explain your fascination with languages and how you intend to make use of them to show career progression in your SOP. If you intend in using your husband and kids as proof of home ties, you might want to reconsider. Also, using your husband as sponsor means he should have a solid bank account as you now have 4 people's expenses (yours, his, and your 2 kids) In all, i wish you best of luck! |
