RISQUE: Since you know how to reign causes, What was your own father doing when Wike was busy setting himself up for his own kids? Leave that boy alone. If you be Wike son, you go dey here dey wail? Or will you tell your father not to give you money for such? If Wike offend you, focus on Wike and not the son. Mark my words, a day is coming when the people would take back their country. I see the children of the political elite that bastardized Nigeria go into hiding for fear of the people. |

AMINDA: Did anybody put a gun to his head and insist that he must choose an Hausa/Fulani muslim? Did anybody force him when he was chasing after Kwankwaso like a jilted lover and courting him to become his Vice (before Trump)? Didn't he do so because he needed to secure his 5.6m votes from the North? No one is forcing him to choose a hausa/fulani muslim as Vice. Just as no one can force anyone to vote how they please. We are in a democracy and Tinubu is not a victim. He's an accomplice. You have a point, but it's not Tinubu but the Northern Muslims who would not want the northern Christians to amount to anything. Yakubu Gowon, Theophilus Danjuma and other prominent northern Christian leaders fought for the north, and now the northern Muslims hate the Gowon's people or the Danjuma's people to be president or vice president. |
Politics › Re: 2027: Storm As Shettima’s Fate Divides APC by johannu(m): 12:07pm On Jan 25 |
The mentality that it must be Hausa or Fulani Muslim is why some people advocate that Nigeria must divide. Let the Hausa and Fulani be on their own and rule over themselves since they're 'born to rule.' They can't continue to Lord over others as if others are slaves. I advise Tinubu to choose a northern Christian governor in his second term as running mate.
Terrible people. When it is the turn of the north to produce the president, it must be Hausa or Fulani Muslim, and also when it is the turn of the north to produce the vice president, it must be a Hausa or Fulani Muslim. So, a Northern Christian can never be the president or vice president. |

Streetinvestor2: Anything of SE and SW in the same sentences must be a joke taken too far. We have nothing in common Britain that amalgamated Nigeria made it such that SE and SW would always be at loggerheads so that the north can continue to rule over the south. The only way the south can be free is for SE and SW and SS to come together, otherwise they would continue to be slaves to the North. |

ElevationD: What money cannot do, more money can do it, according to one popular politician. Aside from seizing ballot boxes, destroying evidences and according to their words “financial war chest”, what else do they have to win elections. They believe that their money can get them the positions, so they must move mountains to achieve their goals.
Sadly the citizens, suffering from many years of impoverishment, are not willing to stand behind their votes. They choose to receive money and other gifts to vote for the wrong candidates and then join the queue of those lamenting for the hardship caused by those that they wrongfully voted for.
If elections are free and fair in this country, many of those holding political positions will never get there. You're right |

hotseat: Wike must be regretting the very day he virtually imposed this ingrate called "Madam Fubara" on the good people of Rivers State.
Most Governors who rebelled against their political godfathers waited patiently until their second term in office before exhibiting their ingratitude.
For "Madam Fubara", like the true Judas Iscariot that he is, began to rebel against his godfather in the very first month of his election.
Fortunately for him, the unsuspecting members of the public fell for his shenanigans of playing the victim card.
They see him as the one being oppressed whereas he is the vintage oppressor.
Instead of examining the factors necessitating the processes for his impending impeachment, they got carried away by sentiments and emotions and their palpable hatred for Wike who they believe is responsible for the actions of the Rivers State House of Assembly.
The only lesson to be learnt is that all intending godfathers may have to review their support for future political godsons so as not to get the Wike treatment. @hotseat There should be no room for godfathers imposing godsons. As powerful as Trump is today, once he leaves office he can't impose anybody to any position. Even now as an incumbent President, Trump can't impose any candidate into elective positions. A serving governor who attempted to influence who replaced Obama in the Senate when Obama became President, that governor was impeached and charged. Godfatherism leads to state capture by an individual and should not have a place in a democracy. |
