fatboyslym007: I think it is a sign of great changes... Some people especially the older generation believed the Arise O Compatriots anthem (old) brought a curse on Nigeria...
One thing we can't take away from Tinubu is his boldness... Call him stupid, slowpoke, etc.
I would rather follow the bold than those trying to please the crowds...
It tells me there is something He is seeing, there is something he wants to get at and he wants Nigeria and Nigerians to see...
Our banner shall be a symbol that peace and justice reign... To hand to our children a banner without stain. (powerful Anthem) We are loosing hope of a new Nigeria with this kind of you people. How does this nonsense they are doing amount to exploit and boldness? Aregbesola changed Osun motto, designed flag and gave anthem for Osun people, they didn't stop people from suffering. When people are doing what is least expected of them, it is a sign that they are out of idea of doing what is expected of them. Go to your nearby market and tell the market women or students in your closer by government school of the news of new anthem and see what reaction you will get. |

Some of them who wish him bad are already gone since he became president.
Man no be God........people born and filled with hate will hate the News. Look at Oyo state for example, Seyi Making just beat everyone hands down, no opposition can make sense by saying a thing against his government. Asiwaju should shut naysayers' mouth by producing enviable results. It doesn't looks like the price people are paying will end in any good thing. And this government is not doing enough to make people believe renewed hope is not a scam. I'm sure you cannot tell people around you and especially your family members that Tinubu is doing great. It's pathetic. His glory is fading away now that he's a president than when we think he's a think tank and can produce results anyhow. To think Buhari did not bring people to this level of pains and agony Asiwaju has brought the nation is really disappointing. Pray for him to succeed if you love him, if he ends this way, he would be the worst of all Nigerian presidents. His ineptitude has given Obi and his obedients movement more opportunities to talk. And whatever they say - truth or lie, they would be right. Nobody can say it with all confidence that he's proud of this administration, really. |

Ofunaofu: "The 140% price rise in basic foods is not a bad situation. Nigeria's case is not as bad as being portrayed, especially when compared to what is happening in America, the UK, and other countries. In fact, due to the economic policies put in place by the Tinubu administration, it could have been above a 500% price rise.
The government needs to be commended because enormous efforts are being put in place to make sure basic food prices are within the reach of the common man".- Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the president on Information and Strategy. ZIAZI: Politics aside, most of us no just get respect! Prof. Soyinka is a legend and abusing him based on his political opinion or affiliation is stupid!
I voted for Peter Obi during the election because he was my preferred candidate over Atiku and now Pres. Tinubu, but why should we divide ourselves to abuse people based in their political positions? I have never insulted Tinubu and I do not wish him to fail. If anything should go wrong, it will affect me too because I am situate in Nigeria.
It's not just some of the Obidients, it's gradually becoming an ethnoreligious something. If one politician no be your person, the other one na grand rubbish!
I like Nyesom Wike, but the next person from another camp sees me as a madman!
Na wahala we dey oooo!
I'm a Yoruba, I supported YEMI OSINBAJO and no other. Normally, no one should have problem with anybody's candidate in any election. But where the issue is when some people deliberately support candidate(s) that they know can not solve the lingering problem, but instead going to manufacture more problems and increases people's burden. The insults are out of frustration, how can some people vowed they will deliberately continue to choose someone that will not make life bearable for people? I was brought up pretty normal. I've never seen any reason to disrespect or have issue with people all my life, but truth be told, anytime I remember APC delegates and the woes they brought upon us - my heart curse them, and sometimes, I unconsciously say it out of my mouth. Democracy is a game of numbers. I should not be bothered if my choice candidate didn't make it. But if you have sworn to always support a candidate that will drag the nation backard in such a way that people start loosing their lives and begging for survival, you don't expect that people will not pour their anger and frustration out. It's just a normal thing. What should change in our support candidates should be idealogy and system of leadership. If it ends there, no one will have problem with another. |

Yet contrast with that of the shameless and fraudulent OP that deliberately replaced "slams ruling Party" with "Slams Tinubu" in his own thread title clearly crediting an article and it author with an allegation against Tinubu neither made.
Let us see if the bigoted Mods will ban this deliberate and virulent misinformation 419 OP for breaking NL rules to attack and malign Tinubu unjustly and falsely as hateful Igbos are obsessed with doing.
Next minutes, when called out, they will all join to chorus duplicitously and dishonestly "we dont hate Tinubu. We just want good governance".
Abeg what manner of desperation drives this deliberate peddling of fake news if not hate? I only feel sorry for Yorubas who don't know how deep the hatred Igbos have for then run in their black souls. Tinubu should proof his capacity against all lies and misinformation against him. Nothing is working. The nation is not stagnated, it is moving backward. He has not proved his worth and hyping of a true Democrat who has waited enough to lead a nation. It's so disheartening, he's becoming the worst president. |

Let me ask you a question ,in Yoruba myth for instance, they believe Ile -Ife is the origin of the world ,does that makes it true ? Do you know how many "God" that exist from one origin to another and the covenant each God made with his people ? What make one suppose covenant more valid than other ?
If Israel lost ,the propaganda is that God is angry with Israel but if they win ,it will be that Gods covenant is at work .
When Israel enemies die,it will be that Israel God is strong but when Israel enemies win ,it will be God's anger .
That's to tell anyone that cares to listen that the only God of Israel is Israel resources and any country will continue to win if her resources are well harnessed .
Example is in the book of Judges where Israel(Israel God) were unable to conquer the people of the valley because they have chariot of Iron .
God is not partial and has no preference. AMP:And you shall say to Pharaoh, Thus says the Lord, Israel is My son, even My firstborn.
KJV:For the Lord will have mercy on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land: and the strangers shall be joined with them, and they shall cleave to the house of Jacob.
Nations will take them and bring them to their own place. And Israel will take possession of the nations and make them male and female servants in the Lord’s land. They will make captives of their captors and rule over their oppressors. |

Gajagojo: The Central Bank is a bank Like any other bank Many people forget that Now the Naira is issued by the Central Bank. It is a debt of the Central Bank. It has no absolute value. Its value is based on assets and debts of the Central Bank as well as the psychology of those holding naira. The psychology among other things affects the value of the Naira
If all the depositors of any bank turn up on the same day at the same time to withdraw all their money. The bank will have a problem and probably no bank can fulfil the obligations
The CBN reserves and Naira are similar if everyone turns up at the same time with their Naira the reserves will start dwindling and the Naira starts to crash So effectively one could argue that pro rata the reserves belong to any and everyone that is holding naira whether in cash or banks Thank you sir |
Politics › Re: Nigeria’s FX Reserves Reach Three-Week High, Gain $262 Million by Johncuppa(m): 12:13pm On May 11, 2024 |
Gajagojo: They are reserves of the CBN NOT OF THE GOVERNMENT They are not savings
When reserves go up it means more people are buying Naira from the CBN in aggregate than those who are changing their Naira Reserves are an indicator of demand for Naira/Nigerian exports/diaspora remittance
No matter how many times you explain it 99.99% of Nigerians will not get it Because they hear the word reserve they believe it is a a saving or somehow a good thing
If $30 billion of reserves reduce it has been changed to Naira Reserves grow when more people are buying Naira from CBN than are selling Naira
It has nothing to Do with financial position of the government
Government cannot spend the reserves because they don't own the reserves Good explanation. Now, some of us understand better But please, what is the essence and what is it meant for at all, if government does not own and can not be spent? Thanks in advance. |
