krattoss: why all these when Google is ur friend. Ur friend has already told u its prohibited. If ur still in doubt. Google is ur friend bro Someone told you can run your online business(blogs, having apps on play store), even freelance like fiverr but make sure your clients are not living in Germany, and don't receive payment to Germany account straight. You can get payment to Yankee, or Naija, from Naija to Germany. That way you are safe. We make at least $200 weekly online here in Nigeria, if I can continue that in Germany. I will not work there... till I graduate. Anywhere you go just be smart, there is no free money anywhere. |

festop2002: All glory to God.
I am also one of those silent readers for a long time.
Applied July 9. No interview questions asked apart from what type of visa I was applying for and evidence of BA. Took a month to be processed. Picked up my visa today. The only question I was asked when I went to pickup was when do I want my visa to start from.
Course: MSc. Ag. Econs Universitat Hohenheim

SooCute: So about yesterday interview... I met the Paulinus guy. I was the first to arrive the venue so I didn't know where to cue even. So I courageously inquired " Sir please where......" the guy collect me sharp sharp "Oga you can't be seeing me working and you are asking me question..go down there and que " For my mind I be like "What could have cost this man to simply say go down there and cue?" I just feel the man needs help psychologically.
So after much arrangements of documents I was ushered in to sit down at the waiting section.

Which is the second time it has been. After the fall of Berlin wall in 1989 and the Unification of Germany; the modern Berlin will be 28years old by 3rd of October this year which would mark the German Unity day. VO: How many points have you made for one single question? I can see you know alot about Germany. Me: smile. (for my mind I am expecting the usual next fire "name the states in Germany and their capital. Name the boarders of Germany and their capital. I even read and crammed their various presidents join.) She typed a while.
VO: Smiled at me Me: I smiled back. VO: laughed a little Me: I laughed. VO: Ehee continue Me: Germany has 16 federal states and 9 boardring countries by land and 2 sea boarders on the North sea and Baltic sea respectively. (For my mind I was expecting name them) Frankfurt is the financial capital of Germany and it's about 116km from my school. Germany is the founding member of the European Union in 1958 and the 3rd largest export and importation country in the world. About 90% of German companies belong to the German "mittlestand" Which are small and medium sized enterprises mostly family owned. In 2016, Germany recorded the highest trade surplus of $310b making it the world largest capital exporter of the year. Her major export partners being the European and the US. Namibia was a German Colony from late 18th century. Forest dominate the southern region where I am heading with the popular Black forest in Badden Wuttenberg. The weather is largely temperate. Me: please Ma, can I ask you a question? VO: Okay? Me: I booked for visa appointment by May but was booked today 2 August. I am a bit worried because my enrollment deadline is Sept. 17. When should I expect a response from your office?
VO: It is not up to us to decide. As soon as we clear you here we forward your documents to the foreign office over there. It takes us about a week to do that. The international office will decide how fast you get a response. Me: Have a nice day Ma.
I didn't check time but the interview didn't feel like one. I read like someone looking for lecturer work because i had more than enough time to prepare coupled with different interview reports I got here. I was scared not leave any stone unturned. Read GMATS Cox I am going for engineering plus I already did Mechanical Engr here so I gat no excuse to fail their maths test if e show. Read virtually everything readable with facts and figures! Rivers. Political parties, their colours and number of registered voters. Busiest airports in Germany. My states facts and figures. I even studied about 12 major companies in my state and what they are into. Studied the ones trekkable from my school (about 6 of them) cos I was waiting for "Tell me facts about the city you are going...blablabla.
Tips: Package facts closely related to the course you are going for. (I talked about business and entrepreneurship more because my course is Business and Engineering) E dey make them believe you. Also talk about facts about the state you are going....when they ask you what you know about Germany.
In all....I was so relaxed. I never felt I was being interviewed. I guess that helped me recall a whole lot I read. #Grace.
I arrived at Island 01/08 against my appointment on 02/08 and settled down in a hotel " *New World Inn*". Where I never slept throughout the night for the fear of village people fanning me till I wake up by weekend! It was nice with interior wallpaper and steady light. Thanks to @Alphapen Aka Musqit Azeez and Oga Shegun aka Baba for the boys! For taking the pain to get me settled after my long-picky hotel search. Wahlahi good people dey nairaland. I mean people wey pass you for level yet them humble to the core! If necessary...I will add few more facts about Germany so here can be a hub.
Shocker: Them know about this dollarsewuosewaland (I know why I typed it so) please be careful what you post. The VO said " I have been interviewing people for years and I know you people go-to NNNNLLLL and cram and cram. So it made me drift from the usuall answers and went to different trajectory. But if you no read how you wan take do? Its better to do your part well enough then hope for Grace than the opposite.
God bless Us all and grant our good wishes. Amen! Were you asked any question on Mathematics or Engineering related subjects? I mean like a test? |

Mamtobs: That information is not accurate.
You have to staple your passport photograph and that of the head of the family in your house. (It can be your dad). and yes you can do it in a state high court.
The high court will charge you 500 naira but they will not stamp it if your dad is not with you (that's what happened to me. My dad had to follow me there the next day). but if you do not want to stress yourself, do it with notary public. there are people all over the high court who keep screaming ''Affidavit'' you can do it with them but keep in mind that it is 500 naira. Those guys are 419 people and they like to cheat those that are ignorant. and make sure that both passport photographs are stamped! Finally, it has to be typed!
All the best What if one has lost both parent. Can one eldest brother stand as head of the family? |

Krusty: Guys please I need advice. I would like to travel abroad in the near future to further my education but first, I'll like to equip myself with some relevant skills. I stumbled on NIIT some time ago and I decided to do a digital course with them. However, I'm confused on which one to go for. I'm torn between Web development and Java programming. Guys, which of the aforementioned programs do you think will be more lucrative and relevant abroad? Your opinions are highly needed. I do both at my current firm here in Nigeria, they call it (Full Stack developer). I think both are very lucrative. But you have to choose which one you would grasp faster and better. I think career should about passion though. But I will advise you to choose web development, since you are relatively new to IT world. You will learn HTML, CSS and Javascript which are simple and easy to grasp unlike Java. You can then advance to Java, C++ or Python. OOP is vast... You can get frustrated and quit. Mind you I started with Java like 5 years ago. Note: Java will help a lot in school if you are going to study Engineering related course. |

kendoschurrle: Please another question.. As we all know, most of us cant easily afford the blocked account and may have to use our entire savings to pay for that one year. This means that the next year will be funded by either what you are able to save up from the hours of work allowed in Germany or if you have people that can send you money. Now my question please:
1) Is the "120 days of full time work" allowed enough to fund the second year of blocked account? 2) I read that they do not even allow using online work to supplement your income..Do this mean you can't do freelance work or trade binary options or forex? 3) What other options do people that make it to Germany have for coping with this second year especially as we all know that getting that part time job isnt easy? How would they know about the (NO 2)? |

Enephkay: Okay today is the first day I will write my own long note because I have stole a lot from here. I got my Angela Mail (AM) as I read it to be a name a guy just formed and I believe that is where the AM comes from because looking at the mail I don’t see any approval anywhere for the mail to be called Approval Mail but anyway Angela Mail or Approval Mail all na AM
Well I did not write my interview questions because I want that AM first and I actually had my interview on the 26th of June so all this dreams of I want will travel out is here oo na wa God is wonderful.
Got that Mail 11:13am 23 July, brother see joy. I didn’t even bother asking about my school here or my state or life after because my own na say Naija matter don tire me and weytin make me survive here I no no where I no fit survive.
My interview questions was same as others and only thing the lady asked that earlier I never came across was “what is German best food?” Me I just said Pork oo and she nodded. The interview was a blast because of you guys transcripts so I say thanks. I’m normally tensed during stuffs like that but I forgot to get tensed that day because everything was so fast haha and even the Paulinus nairalanders are condemning, I see nothing wrong with that guy if you have your documents arranged and well organized
Well I checked my documents numerous times before that interview because I no wan hear say them shoot bird the mama fly. Just take out original, lap it with the two photocopies and use that attach pin to hold it. Do the same for the rest of the documents then you have nothing to worry. So leave Paulinus if he is not like that he will have headache everyday because I have worked in such situation where people don’t ever want to get things right no matter how you explain to them.
I will upload the comprehensive questions I carved out for myself to keep me balance and I practiced for 4months too so I guess this AM is my accolade.
My school is University of Würzburg and I don’t think I read anybody going there but like I said I no care me because person na person wey belle dey pain na him know how e dey do am... Everybody with different experiences and goals and I just don’t want someone to give me another thought with his or her bad experience in the city or state or even school. Every mallam with him kettle. I applied to just that school alone and I got admitted for summer but it came late and I deferred the admission. What am I even saying, I don’t even know if I even applied all I know is that February I got a mail from the head of department telling me I’m considered to apply for summer that I’m admitted for both summer and winter Incase I can’t make it for summer that I should contact the international office. Na from there oo so i got admitted before I even sent my documents looks so fake but I did research about the school no be small then I realize na so God want am.
I read German girls are hard are this one are that one but still I’m here in Nigeria and I have dated 3 online before now. So how hard can they be? So brother do your thing first thing first just comot for this hole wey we dey then you go see say it is a different game out there.
I hope I’m able to convince you and not to confuse you with the few nonsense I have said that you shouldn’t be weighed down because of people’s experiences.
My uncle is in Luxembourg and the man say Europe no make sense and still him never pack him load come back Naija mtchew looking for people to deceive not me. Well Let me just stop here Great! About the German girls, I have one already... helping with processing... she has been sweet and very nice(She actually convinced me to wanting to come to Germany)... and she is beautiful too... Let us leave that aside, I am very happy for you. |
