tensazangetsu20: This works. If you are a developer, you might want to find specific platforms and learn them as they help in getting remote jobs much more easier than general web development. do you use wix for developing website, I've seen people using it on fiverr but I feel it's no match for wordpress |

TechCapon: my brother, not only guarantor but the terms and conditions of the program na die. I don't know why it is so hard to find people who attend the program to share their real life experiences. Maybe it's part of the terms and agreement not to disclose their experience. I knew there is something shady about their offer. |

tensazangetsu20: Honestly that depends on your job hunting skills, the portfolios you have et al. I got my first WordPress role the week I started learning PHP but I am a ferocious job hunter. wow! nice one. |
Programming › Re: The Travails Of Junior Developers by Johnmattee(m): 9:16am On Apr 22, 2021 |
tensazangetsu20: You can see from the jobs listed that react alone on freelance sites doesnt have much jobs like that plus it's mixed with react native most times. WordPress has over 20000 jobs. Shopify has over 8000.
You will still use your react knowledge when working with WordPress but learning it alone and looking for work no dey easy like that. It's why I have been shouting here platforms platforms platforms especially for beginners. After learning all these CMS, how long does it take you to start applying and getting jobs? |

tensazangetsu20: This is a bad decision which you might end up regretting. It's good to learn python but what is the end goal? What do you want to do in python? Python has its place In data science and machine learning but how easy is it to get those jobs especially for someone who might not have a computer science degree. It can be used in web development with Django but how many Django jobs are there? How many people use Django or flask as a backend to build their websites.
Research and rething your strategy so you don't waste valuable time. How about node.js? I don't want you to suggest php, though I still wanna learn it, not now. |

Programming › Re: Challenges Programmers Face by Johnmattee(m): 7:28pm On Mar 10, 2021 |
tensazangetsu20: Learning to code is a double edged sword. There's a whole lot of difference between coding as a hobby and coding to make a living unfortunately a lot of people who are learning code in Nigeria are learning to code as a hobby.
Someone can code for 7, 8 years and never make a penny but another person can do it for 3 months and start working. Oh gawd! money must be made. Enough of hobby |

SegFault: I swear, this new generation and it's churning out of useless toys you can hardly cope with, it's so funny that languages like C, C++ and rust will always be there. The funny thing is all those frameworks ain't gonna last. JS is just crazy! |
Programming › Re: What Will Happen To React In Future? by Johnmattee(m): 6:45pm On Feb 27, 2021 |
tensazangetsu20: Exactly and then there's things like Gatsby and Nextjs which are becoming very prominent and you even have frameworks built on those frameworks like blitzjs built on Nextjs. React is not going anywhere. JavaScript and its over bloated framework and dependencies. |

cixak95211: Stanliwise has replied you well, i still don't see why you are making baseless analogies. Anybody can earn good money with any language. I work as a remote dev . . . job a) int'l pay approx 420k job b) locally approx 300k job c) is my side business, around 200k
figures quoted above are per month, and all in javascript and it's variants now there is very big potential for job c) to enter 1m, 2m or even 10m monthly recurring revenue . . because it is what it is, a business
Will i advise you to learn JAVASCRIPT if you want to make money or choose C# if you want to suffer? Hell NO! Why? because i can replicate all earnings above using another language if i wanted. It's not the language that brings the money, it's what i have upstairs in my head.
If i take away your PHP skills, you're probably dead. Take away my javascript skills and i'll just laugh it off. You see the language as the income-driver, I see the skill instead not the language. That's why you just started writing codes this year, and i've been writing codes since . . cant remember hmmn...but anyways experience helps but for people who are just starting and need to get results, there is need to observe the market. |

So practically you would save your whole 3 years salary untouched to pay back. That's serious ooo, monkey dey work baboon dey chop! So what are you into now since you've moved away from JavaScript. I am waiting for HNGi8 next year, I'll be more than prepared. |
