All of those countries have one unified and standardised language which they use as their language of instruction despite having minority ethnic groups.

And even at that, they still learn English at least from secondary school level

hausa is the biggest language in North and northern west Africa..I taught maths in ibadan,I felt not satisfied teaching maths in English instead of Yoruba cos I felt they would understand maths better in their native language
