I followed he advice the vet officer gave me previously, that I should only feed little quantity of dog food at a time. It worked like magic.

She ate more than she normally does at a single sitting this morning, because the food looked small and easy to finish to her. So I have to give her food at a spaced interval instead of all at once as I usually do.

That's true. I notice this in my dude too.. he won't finish his meal at a go.

Yes sir. that breed is a SIBERIAN husky. Rare in Nigeria. but if u really need one I could source it out.

I got my gsd when he was 5 months of age, and it took him only 3 days to become territorial and start barking, he even bites sef! And I got my Rott/GSD mix bitch when she was 1 yr old and guess what? she became territorial on that very day I brought her home, she bites too.

it's not normal for a 9month old dog not to bark..

there is one scenario I think that triggered my dog instinct.
Went to see a bitch and her pups. immediately we opened the gate, the bitch started barking with the little pups.
Eragon was scared to hell, it almost ran off but a vet friend around told me to calm her. She became relaxed a bit and same time scared.
Fast forward to 10 minutes later I chained my dog and moved closer to the bitch in her cage. bitch was barking hell. Out of nowhere my dog started barking back at the bitch. I was daised ooo. I moved closer again the bitch barked and my dog barked her out. i.e telling the bitch to not try anything stupid.
that's the day Eragon instinct started kicking..

so @OP would suggest u try same and let see what happens.

it worked for me, might work for you or not.

Same with mine Oo, she doesn't allow me walk her in a particular direction, she just want to go where ever she wants to go, and if I try to walk her in another direction she would lie on the ground and not stand up.

I feed her diamond puppy, plus home cooked protein source like boiled egg, cooked meat, chicken, fried fish, hollandia milk and occasionally bread, yogurt, salad vegetables and fruits. Diamond puppy is a 4 star food for puppies.

Finally I completed the book of behavioral change by Sophia Yin, and I have already started applying her techniques and using it to correct her behaviors.

I bought my dog a dog toothbrush and dog toothpaste. The first time I tried to brush her teeth I made her lick the toothpaste so that she knows it has a nice taste. When I proceeded to out the toothbrush in her mouth, she backed away and kept running away anytime she sees the toothbrush (it's her first time, so it's expected). I didn't succeed in brushing her teeth that day, just managed to rub her tongue with it for sometime.

So today I was able to successfully brush her left teeth with at least 5 strokes, with a lot of persistent, it took me close to an hour to do this.

I applied the principle of desensitization and classical counterconditioning to brush her teeth, she was so stubborn and desperately tried to go against the technique, but it was irresistible, she fell for it several times and i ended up brushing her teeth well.

I feel happy, because now I can make my dog do absolutely anything I want with the technique, but it takes a lot of patience and time, because my dog is a slow learner and she is very stubborn.

you are actually correct about Lhasa behaviours. You can't make em do what they don't want to do.

Initially when I got Coco , he was obstinate. he wouldn't want me to walk him he would drag the leash and try and bite it off or bark at me telling me No.

But as at yesterday, he walk some kilometres with me happily.

my point is training a dog is a gradual process. if they disregard any training, we should not give up..

If am taking a dog for adoption, there are always terms and conditions attached to it, and I always see to the fact that I live to it.. I don't accept just anything in the name of adoption.... I am doing the major bulk of the job, and the owner must know my house and basic details about me and my pets... I breed your supposedly adopted dog to life and help u make money in turn and make mine and foster more of my passion in the game... If u see that as being greedy, u got ur mouth, but most importantly, it doesn't change the fact that I am never part of those that practice shady deals all in the quest for money.
