[quote author=Nathblessing post=57702459];DWow! Wow!! Wow!!!. Started reading this morning and finished just now. What a great book you have here. But Johnspurgeon014 as much as i love the fact that sting died (though the idiot was even an agent that went rogue) yet the way it ended for Banks and Lade is kinda sad. They deserved pure undiluted happiness, especially Lade. Her life situation from onset is too filled with pain not to have a happy ever after. That singular news that sting escaped will always make them live in fear. I really wished they were notified about his death which would definitely be a huge relief for them. Infact they would live happily for the rest of their life. Also, I had really wished you finally give Jeniffer some joy too. I had so hoped she would find love. Her type of person is rare. To handle the situation she was in with such maturity is just mind boggling. So kudos to her for that. I really wished she had a great man to love her too. Then i would have to loved that Lade really put Chika and Theresa in their place herself for always been negative about her, though i wont blame them too much for their insecurity when it concerns Lade, though i was a little bit satisfied that Idara did that. All in all. You did a great job. Kudos to you sir. ;DWow! Wow!! Wow!!!. Started reading this morning and finished just now. What a great book you have here. I just didn't want to invite a new character so late into the story. Thanks for your comments again. |

An old flame rekindles when Lade runs into a former male friend while working. Too bad she is no longer the person he once knew and knows she should stay away from him for his own good. And hers. Although Banks sees the signs, it is not just curiosity that has gotten him to turn a blind eye to the writing on the wall. Her world may now be deep, dark and dirty, and everything he and his family wants to put far behind them as the climb higher on the social ladder, but just because she was once good enough, he believes she still has it in her to be a better version of herself, notwithstanding the repercussions. Lade thinks so too. All that's left is to prove it to him, to his judgemental family and friends, to her unwilling boss, and hardest of all - to herself. This is a story about love, self re-discovery and how easy it is to fall short of the finish line despite overcoming all the hurdles on the way. I had a funny dream last night. An actual dream yeah duh. I was sitting next to this lady in a simple dress at a book launch when we somehow got to talking. She'd read my novel OFF ALL THE GIRLS IN LAGOS (to be published on the 20th of June on okadabooks and other market places). Her insight was mature and new to me as she came at the story from a perspective I never imagined yet. For instance, I hate my antagonist Sting with such a passion that I did my best to make my readers hate him as well while projecting pity and well wishes on the protagonist. This case was the reverse with the lady in my Dream. I never had any positive opinions about my antagonist, not even in my subconsciousness. So why would this lady (in my Dream) gush so positively about Sting, given all the pitfalls he set for my lovers. Maybe she isn't a romantic person lol. Anyways, my apologies for getting back after such a long time. I know I have lost most of my readers but that couldn't be helped. The question still remains though; Will you still dote on an old flame who is no longer worthy of your company, just because you believe that since she was once good enough to be friends with, she still has it in her to be a better version of her present self? Looking forward to your reviews after the 20th of June 2017. Thanks. |
TRAY2:Please tell me. What happened to sauce kid |
kelechiodo:Lol. I'm sure you have. Still, you followed it cause you enjoyed the bit you read. The complete stuff shouldn't be any less I guess. |
3 drafts later, I'm thinking I'm sick of this story. Lol. I'm done. 20th June is the approved released date for the eBook version of this story although I'm pushing for it to be earlier. Click LIKE if we're all still in cahoots. |
Kingtim:Gionee m5 is 48k? Or you mean Gionee M5 mini?? |
Wiseb:110000 words and counting. I'm at the middle of the end, if you know what I mean. Although, I'd have to edit diction and characterization, check inconsistencies and locations, while balancing that with two jobs. I apologise for the snail's pace. I write slowly and deliberately. But progress has been good. I'm tempted to share some of it, but I'll publish it and make it available soon. Thanks for checking in. |
Nobody read this or nobody chose to comment? |
rectitude:Someone should please tell Charly boy that his father would be turning in his grave in disappointment if this is the best he can say on this. |

Aburi001:If all these people you mentioned were APC members, would they have been arrested? Or wouldn't Bubu grant them executive pardon? |
Karma has a funny way of getting with everyone. Just when you thought you'd gotten away with what you did. |
The youth of today won't check the facts behind the truths they speak of and believe in... NLers are a confused lot. |
Nudoibaretep:If this is your attempt to provoke me into condescending. I'll show you where the high road is...you know... That road neither you nor your ancestors because of your low births and your future generations because their unfortunate choice of parents will ever walk.

I hear he is investigating the allegations that Bubu invested 500 million into Hillary's campaign. |
Nudoibaretep:Interesting view. Hahaha. |
And please this state called Nigeria is not united. We want it to be, but since its conception, we have never been united. The Royal Niger Company asked no one's permission when it amalgamated us all into one, but for the sake of their business - a business which is still ongoing. We are rich in diversity, true, but Bros na this same diversity wey don kill more people than anywhere else on this continent. Are we on the right path to unity by making a matyr of this man Kanu. If he dies for nothing, he dies for what he believes in and his course will continue. We would only make the diversity worse and many would lose faith in the government and in the Constitution they swore to protect. Speaking of terrorism, who is saying anything about the Fulani herdsmen? Maybe because they don't want secession and disruption of the Royal Niger Company's business. They just want superiority wherever they go, taking what they want with no respect for lives or property. NO BODY IS CRYING FOUL. What happened to the right to life and property ownership. Isn't that terrorism? |
tjaytb:All these you mentioned are typical avenues preceding a call for referendum. Awareness must be raised. I don't remember him declaring a sovereign state. He only called for its secession. Illegal radio channels? What law makes it illegal? Because it isn't registered under the NBC. My dear there are many unregistered radio channels in africa today, and they are all still running. He may have gone far by threatening to raise funds for arms, bit threatening isn't treasonous. Actually doing it, is. If the prosecutor has evidence that he sourced for funds for the purpose of procuring arms then why hide it. If they procured arms, then we can all cry foul. All this man has done to me was raise awareness to his perceived plight. Is he arrogant while doing so? Definitely! But that isn't a crime. Is he airing hate words? Yes, but that isn't a crime. If running an unregistered radio station so illegal, why isn't it among his list of offences? Just a few among a million more questions we should ask ourselves if we take our emotions out of this. We and the government are making him into a god and all he did was spur our emotions. I once read somewhere, "...call a wise man a fool, he will ask you for your reasons. But call a fool a fool, and he will act out foolishly." I am not saying Buhari is a fool, but his actions so far has raised many eyebrows. If you think otherwise, then let's agree to disagree. |
tjaytb:Not for argument sake, but plzz check the meaning of treason under the Constitution. I don't care about Biafra or Kanu, but it will be obvious to anyone who bothers to check out the facts and weigh them against the noise that the prosecution is merely grasping at straws. If the government is clear in the intent to met out justice, then it is not good enough to act above the law just because you have executive powers to do so. Where has it ever happened in the history of this country for witnesses to be shielded behind a screen? Is this the first case of treason brought to a Nigerian court? And they want us to believe there is nothing special personal about this case Kanu is a citizen of Nigeria by definition given by the Constitution guiding this great nation. Whether he is mouthing off against the government or wants secession of a particular tribe due to injustices perceived or not, the accusations are on treason and terrorism. We want to see the facts and witnesses. The media has criminalised him so much, and the government has turned him to a black sheep. I want to see the government's actions justified, but not by jungle justice, or going rogue on the rule of law. The rule of law must be consistently followed for the condemnation of Kanu to ring true in the eyes of the populace, the world at large and for the sake of future cases as this. In this light, it is not enough to be emotional. He said pretty rough things against the president and against his country. But the Constitution allows him this right. The Igbos even have a right to have a peacefulreferendumm and secede. International laws allow this right. We are in a democracy. If the President illegally condemns all his critics, then our democracy is a mere sham. If there is a case of treason and terrorism against Kanu, then why judge him in secret when you have openly condemned him a traitor. |
