lol, you forgot you are talking to a Yoruba man. Have we not survived enough in opposition since 1960 up to 1999? You think Yoruba people fear opposition politics?
Dey whyne yourself.

Hear this bro, Yoruba have equal stakes in Nigeria with those you Ibos look up to as the power holder (Hausa/Fulani). So either they continue to govern and you Ibos continue to play second fiddle to them like Ekwueme/Sylvester Ugoh and etc. But ANYTIME that presidential slot come to the South, the Yorubas will never be pushed away by a minority Ibo from getting it.

So you can collude with the North and be their VP for 500 years, but when it’s time to be the frontline presidency from the South, Yoruba will always decide!

A Nigerian President of Igbo extraction, is possible after the Presidency of Shettima/Ribadu.

Why is he always on the neck of Obi with 'bitter truth' pressing, about Obi's performance as Anambra governor.

I am sure Reno has an informant, in Soludo's office, that is ditching out all these sensitive secrets to him, in order to undermine the credibility and influence of Obi and Labor Party, in Anambra politics.

I will not be surprised if Obi comes out, next week, to confirm this erosion/brewery story just the way he was forced to confirm not starting and completing any school, in Anambra state, during his tenure as governor, for 8 years.

Culture / Re: Ladoja Faults The Position Of Some Ibadan Chiefs On Olubadan Stool by johntolu: 10:45am On Apr 11
adioolayi:

No correct.

For example,

Oba Yinusa Ogundipe Arapasowu as Olubadan of Ibadan land.
He ascended the throne from the Civil line.

He has:
High Chief Omiyale as Balogun Ibadan
High Chief Oiawale Kuye as Otun Olubadan
High Chief Odulana Odugade as Otun Balogun.

Because Oba Yinusa came from civil line, High chief Kuye was promoted to Otun Olubadan..the Balogun line remains unchanged.

After the demise of ObaYinusa Arapasowu, Chief Omiyale, the Balogun of Ibadan was supposed to be the next in line... unfortunately, he passed on before coronation..

The crown moved back to the civil line...Chief Olawale Kuye was next... unfortunately he also passed on..

The crown moved back to military line..that's why the Otun Balogun, chief Odulana Odugade became Olubadan..from Military Iine.

Chief gain promotions from their line and the late Oba Lekan Balogun became the Otun Olubadan...so, he became the next Olubadan from civil line.

Now that he passed on..the crown moves to military..if the next chief is unable to..it goes back to the civil line

Thanks for your informed analysis.

Why are you mentioning Jonathan here, that man is not a role model to anybody.

Also, you don't expect Obasanjo to do anything here when you didn't give him the lead, you don't listen to his advice when selecting the problems scattering the party today.

The worst a party can do is to allow her enemies as members and allow disobedient and a never yielding member to remain.

One of their stupid members was a Governor and was publicly promoting another party and went as far as being a Minister under APC.

PDP can't survive this stabbings.

PDP must allow ATIKU to leave. He does not have anything to offer humanity.

PDP must adopt the right machinery to get their dreams. This entails a whole lot of eliminating and cleansing within and outside the party, by eliminating, I mean firing and hiring, admit true democrats and not bigots & demons.

PDP's problem is a case of 'double wahala for dead body'.

Atiku 'no wan gree for nobody' neither is Wike willing to shift ground for anyone.

Better, the issue is not about WIKE, but ATIKU who uses money to win the integrity and sanity of some PDP members....

Tell me how can PDP throw their candidacy open in the last Presidential election when they know ATIKU will grab it

Why couldn't All PDP members join hands and meet ATIKU to rally support on Peter Obi who they see has gained much popularity within a space of months Especially Power is coming down to the South??

If they had done that, Wike couldn't have seen a way to lias with other five PDP Governors to sabotage the interest of PDP .

Just look at how Wike is still a member of PDP party but wearing the full picture of an APC Government where violence is their Hallmark....

I support this move, if the PDP NEC can't seat down and flush off Insanity from their corridor , then let all members become insane at once and join APC....

God bless PDAPC!

Whatever you just started smoking, stop it before it stops you.

Now listen to this, El-Rufai is hated by all politicians in the North because he has a big Ego. I am sure you are not hearing this for the first time

Sanusi Lamido Sanusi the pedophille that forcefully took about 10 Southern Banks and sold them to his friends at the price of Kunu and Kulikuli, he has no political value. When he was disgraced as CBN governor, did you see any body stand up for him? When Tinubu imposed him as Emir of Kano, if you are not aware that it was Tinubu that imposed him on Kano, check Google. When he was finally humiliated from the Emirate and banished from his father's land, did you see anybody stand for him? He is more politically worthless than the other idiot that Ahmed Datti that was Peter Obituary's deputy in the last election.

Last point for now, Northern Political Elites who control the voting population will prefer to support Emilokan Tinubu JAGABAN to finish his two terms and handover to them. They know Emilokan Tinubu will graciously handover power back to the North, rather than support Peter Giringori Agulu Obituary who will want to use 8 years after Tinubu. You sef think am nah.

I doubt if any Nigerian politician care about the plight and sufferings of the people since APC came to power.

We do not need any of the permutations & combinations highlighted on this thread, on how to dislodge APC from power.

The only party that can defeat APC electorally, for now, is the PDP.
Obi's current electoral value and acceptability, is higher than any politician in Nigeria.

I am surprised Atiku, Tambuwal, Sasaki and other prominent PDP leaders are blinded to the current political reality in the country.

Can someone tell me the reason why PDP leaders will not want to convince Obi to return to PDP and facilitate his getting the party's ticket for him to run for a single term after which power returns to the North?

They can broker the agreement with prominent Northern traditional rulers as well as Northern religious leaders

They should of course, be able to pick his running mate, decide on who the Chief of Army staff and NSA should be, as well.

This is the only 'combo' that could dislodge APC from power in 2027.

Politics / Re: Why I Located $800m Geometric Power Plant In Aba - Barth Nnaji by johntolu: 9:19pm On Feb 27
seunmsg:

Funny enough, Barth Nnaji was minister of power during the Goodluck Jonathan administration. He was forced out of office for corruption and conflict of interest in the privation process.

Details of Mr. Nnaji’s sack could be read in the Premium Times story below;

Premium Times Nigeria

Why Power Minister, Barth Nnaji, was forced to resign.
By Ata Udo

Contrary to the impression created by the presidency that the Minister of Power, Barth Nnaji, resigned from office on his own volition, highly placed sources familiar with the matter have told PREMIUM TIMES that Mr. Nnaji was actually forced to resign Tuesday following a gale of allegations linking him with attempts to subvert the bidding process for the sale of Afam Power plant.

Aso Rock spokesperson, Reuben Abati, had released a statement this evening saying President Goodluck Jonathan had accepted the power minister’s resignation and wished him well in his future endeavours.

But presidency sources have told us the minister was compelled by Mr. Jonathan to resign after allegations of conflict of interest in the privatisation of the power plant was confirmed .

Reports earlier this week had linked Mr. Nnaji with direct interests in one of the firms shortlisted to bid for the 776 megawatts (MW) capacity Afam power plant, already slated for privatisation by the Federal Government.

The plant, consisting about 18 gas turbines, is considered the most viable of the power plants slated for privatization by the Federal government, particularly with the recent approval of about N500 million for its rehabilitation.

Apart from his interest in acquiring the plant, Mr Nnaji reportedly used his privileged position to influence the emergence of one of the firms in pole position to be selected winner, an effort traducers claimed reportedly earned him a gratification of a brand new Prado jeep and cash reward in excess of N89million.

Mr. Nnaji could not be reached Tuesday night to respond to these allegations but a source close to him, who asked not to be named, said “the allegations are untrue and were merely manufactured to tarnish the hard-earned reputation of the minister”.

The National Union of Electricity Employees (NUEE) has, since the commencement of the process of privatising the Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) subsidiary firms, engaged the minister in a running battle, accusing him of pursuing a hidden selfish agenda.

NUEE General Secretary, Joe Ajaero, had, on behalf of the PHCN workers that have already been served sack letters, queried the decision to give them only 25 per cent of their entitlement for Pension and Gratuity, pointing out that the arrangement confirmed their fears that Mr. Nnaji’s reform was aimed at strangulating workers.

Prior to his appointment, Mr Nnaji was the chairman, Geometrics Power, one of the 18 private companies that were granted operational licenses by the Federal Government to undertake the generation of electricity to compliment the effort to boost the country’s available supply capacity.

It was gathered that the decision to ask Mr. Nnaji to turn in his resignation letter may have followed the confirmation by the Presidency of some of the allegations levelled against him.

President Goodluck Jonathan was said to have asked the minister to resign rather than sack him, to save his administration the monumental embarrassment such an action could generate.

Presidential spokesperson, Reuben Abati, could not be reached for comments as he did not answer calls to his mobile telephones.

Current NLC President, Comrade Ajaero, was the National Secretary of National Electricity workers back then, when Nnaji was fired from his post. He was very critical of Nnaji’s treatment of PHCN workers back then.

The one thing this writer and I agree with is about Ọlá Aina, the incarnation of Anọbi Yisa Sofoluwẹ.

Better to have a 'minus one player', in a team, than having a 'calamity and disaster combined player', in a team, especially, when playing in the final, against the host country.

It will be Cote d'Ivoire's advantage if Yusuf is fielded in the final match. He will most likely concede a penalty and likely get sent off in the game which will make it a 'minus 2 against Nigeria.

Anyone buying bank shares at this moment may be gambling.

Most banks may approach the stock market to raise capital in the event of a 900B recapitalization.
Most bank shares now are overvalued and those that know will quietly divest their shares while the gullible will buy and start recording capital depreciation.

After such public offerings, share prices usually settle down to market values which is the best time to buy.

He was a two-term governor of Kano state, former
