Nogymmarts: imagine, instead of them to partner with bangladesh textiles maker, and export there clothes toNigeria to sell. bangladesh have one of the best clothing factory in the world.
Our 'Biafraüùd' Bloders' are not interested in commerce. They are only interested in criminality, aka, 'fast money' which they intend using to develop Lagos and Abuja as usual.
BJanta: Of course, most qualified. But suitable to rule only in Biafla lipublc .
Rotimi stands no chance in Biafra. He stands a better chance in Arewanistan in view of his performance in the construction of the Maradi rail line and his adoption as a 'son', by the Daura and Katsina emirates.
mikehenrymp270: I honestly want to hear the man side of story , I doubt the man will ask his children to beat their mother ,, I even doubt that he kicked her out of moving vehicle
The testimony given by Nwachukwu's Mother-in-Law and Osinachi's twin sister, in a BBC 'pidgin English' interwiew, gave a vivid desription of the beastly personality of 'Power Uti' Nwachukwu. 'Power Uti' might not be directly responsible for Osinachi's death as he may eventually be exonerated by autopsy report but the description of him, given by his In-Laws, reveals that he is nothing more than a 'beast' in human clothing.
In conclusion, I think 'Power Uti' deserves all the atrocities being meted out to him, by the Nigerian state. It will surely serve as a deterrent to other men who maltreats and disrespects their spouses and family members of their spouses.
RIP Madam Osinachi 'Ekwueme'. You fought a spiritual battle that will overpower even the strongest amongst us.
To make you think this is the direction something is going while it might be going on the opposite direction.
It’s a war strategy.
So, rejoice not my dear.
There is really no issue in El-Rufai's son sharing the pictures of his Dad and Tinubu on socialmediaplatforms. They are both in APC and El-Rufai is not contesting for the Presidency. It might actually be a gimmick by the El-Rufai team to sell their Principal to Team Tinubu.
A Tinubu/El-Rufai ticket would be the greatest disaster to befall this failed British experiment.
What is El-Rufai's scorecard on Security in Southern Kaduna?
Tinubu forced Buhari on Nigerians all for his own selfish interest. Back in 2015, he had already envisioned how he'd take over from Buhari in 2023.
What is most important for him is his life long ambition. Tinubu is a great politician too desperate for the presidency.
You are wrong, again. The greatest political disaster that befell Nigeria, was the 'slave Master' alliance, between The Sardauna of Sokoto and Nnamdi Azikiwe, in the 1st Republic. The Sardauna was based in Kaduna, calling the shots, in Lagos and other parts of the country as the 'Supreme Leader', while Azikiwe was reduced to a 'Ceremonial President', taking orders from Balewa, who has direct report to the Kaduna based 'Supreme Leader.
The real tragedy of the 'slave Master' alliance was that Nnamdi Azikiiwe had the 'right of first refusal' of being the Prime Minister in an alliance with Chief Awolowo, but chose to form an alliance with the Fulanis for reason(s) best known to him. The alliance invariably led to a lot of crises which eventually led to the 1st military coup, the counter coup as well as the Civil war and the unnecessary deaths that occurred. I am of the opinion that we as a country, would not have gone through the tortuous and bloody route we went through, in the 1st Republic, if the 'slave Master' alliance, had not played out between Sir Ahmadu Bello and Chief Azikiwe.
Deadlytruth: Are you aware of the facts that: 1. A substantial number of persons in Edo State welcomed and celebrated Wike's verbal onslaught on Obaseki, hence no individual or group in the state, except only Obaseki himself, has published any rebuttal against Wike?
2. In the whole SS, Edo State has the highest percentage uncollected PVC?
3. In the SS, Edo State usually records the least voter turnout percentage despite being third in terms of voter register strength?
If you consider all these, you won't be doing this shakara you are trying to do to Wike's ambition on behalf of Edo State.
Governor Wike will definitely have the support of the Oba of Benin and I see most Binis voting for him if he is on the ballot as PDP flag bearer. The Ikweres migrated from Biniland according to Wike and the Oba of Benin. The support Wike gave to Obaseki was a 'brotherly support' as a Benin-Ikwere man.
FreeStuffsNG: In my opinion, it is too late .They had ample time but gave free reign to HE Buni and Sen. Akpan to box them to this injury time. Choosing the Presidential candidate must not be by consensus.
I am sure most people have forgotten how a sitting PDP Chairman was unceremoniously removed from office, by OBJ and had his ultra loyalist, Ahmadu Alli, installed as Chairman. GMB should even be commended for having the decency to go through the 'concensus' route in having his candidate anointed or chosen in comparison to OBJ, who after a meal of pounded yam, in Audu's house, forcefully extracted a resignation letter from Audu. The mere fact that Buhari even consulted widely with the founding fathers of the party and other stakeholders in the party is enough reason why the party leaders should allow him to have his way. I am sure Buhari's plan is to have a member of his CPC caucus, nominated as running mate to an APC Presidential candidate from the South and the New PDP caucus member, chosen as the party chair.
Basheer22: That is all you Igbos can do. Threaten others and shed foolish tears. PDP that you slaved for couldn't give you the ticket, you are now crying Tinubu. If you continue like this, your children will continue to be political slaves.
There are many ways to kill a chicken. The best pathway for the Yeebos to get an easy passage to 'Asokoro Villa' is for the adoption of a candidate outside Yeeboland as their preferred candidate. FFK would have been the best person for the role but I doubt if the 'Supleme' Leader will want to impose the trust of Yeebos on such an unstable character. We might want to sample the opinion of 'Omolangidi1' if he is willing to work with FFK when next he is brought out of the 'Kuje zoo' for his treasonable and felony charges. I think I may be wrong here, I have a feeling the 'Supleme'Leader might actually have a soft spot for ATK but that might be a little bit product to sell to other geo-political zones in Southern Nigeria and other parts of the country because of the unpopularity of a Fula taking over from the other. I am not in any way trying to preempt or fault the decision the 'Omolangidi1' will take on who the Yeebos should adopt as a candidate since he has the final say on this.
beegodson: ROCHAS OKOROCHA HAS MY VOTE 100% ROCHAS OKOROCHA FOR PRESIDENT 2023.
The best option for Yeebos to win the Presidency in 2023 is for the adoption of both Ayodele Fayose and Bukola Saraki as naturalized Igbos. Mark the word, 'both' as this is the only way to convince PDP party elders and non-Igbo voters that they meant well for the 'religious-ethnic' balance in Nigeria polics. Once this is achieved, they should now present the two candidates to PDP's NWC as their preferred candidatee(s) and threaten the party, PDP and probably, issue an ultimatum of dire consequences if their preferred/adopted candidate(s) is not given a free passage to 'Asokoro Villa'.
Kabir just mentioned, while writing this piece, that Mallam Yerima has to be carried along if this plan must succeed but I do not think this will constitute any problem. Yeebos elders can get both OBJ and ATK to connect them with Sheikh Gumi who will have no problem selling the project to the Arewa Youth Leader. OBJ's contact with Winners' Papa is also very key in this National Unity Project.
aribisala0: Why pick on Yoruba ? Are they the only Nigerans You are speculatng there is no historical evidence to back your claim but here is evidence that Eboes did not vote Abiola
So look in the mirror if you are looking for hate
What you should have said is NOT The most hated BUT The most hateful You hate Yorubas and in your minds expect that they must hate you
That s the psychological reality Yoruba vote based on SELF INTEREST. and typically that means voting for a Yoruba person . Self love rathe than hatred for anyone else and in the past that has always meant being in opposition so we have learnt how to mind our business comfortably WITHOUT being part of the FG Imagine a Yoruba president withholding funds of Lagos state and handcuffing a Yoruba IG so for us there is no particular gain in being president
We are the best prepared to breakaway today and so the only thing we want from presidency is restructuring .You cannot deliver that
PeaceJoyLove: It cannot be Amosu. It is not a matter of only loyalty to Buhari. The person must be sellable in the North. As it is, Fashola and Amaechi are top on the list because of projects they have embarked on in the north. For Osinbajo, he knocked himself the moment he went against the cabals and also went to solve issues in the oil regions which Buhari was reluctant to solve because it was not beneficial for the North.
I remember vividly I told people that Osinbajo made the greatest mistake of his career then. But people were shouting yeh yeh yeh...he showed he has the attributes of becoming a president. Yes, he showed it that he is presidential material, but also showed he will not favor the north the way they want. We all saw how Obasanjo always handled them during the two periods he was there. He wouldn't take any drastic action without consulting the top northern rulers. And when he vexed, those ones knew how to appease him. An evidence is when he released Abacha's son after they appealed seriously. So, they feel comfortable that this person has a listening ear. But Osinbajo was given just one month of power, he went to the SS oil area to solve what his ego refused to solve the first time. The second time, he sacked the DSS boss. Lol. I think he said he consulted with Buhari concerning sacking that man. But do we expect Buhari to say No when he was the president and not Buhari?
Amosu is useless. Do you think the north will pick him with the way he destroyed Ogun? The north also needs a highly resourceful person. Do you think Buhari doesn't know Amosu isn't resourceful? Loyalty only is different from Loyalty + being resourceful. Fasola is 100% loyal to Buhari.
And do not forget the tape Reno released where Amaechi ran his mouth like diarrhea that Buhari is a dullard. North doesn't forgive easily.
The Reno's tape will surely constitute a serious stumbling block, to Amechi, if he decides to contest APC's Presidential primary election. It was rather unfortunate that a high ranking and experienced government official of his pedigree, will be sharing such a highly volatile view points, with journalists. Such 'gists' are shared with immediate family members and very close friends or confidants and not some journalists who could betray you for some paltry amount of money.
PMB's handling of Amaechi's outburst in the tape, is an indication that President Buhari is a better manager of people than OBJ.
NGpatriot: lol @ Gani Admas, old agbaya bode george .....he left out Mc OluOmo
Comedians..
He should have started his consultation in the South West, with a visit to the only PDP governor in the zone, Gov. Seyi Makinde and probably, a visit to Ayo Fayose and or, Senator Adeleke. I am even surprised he did not deem it fit to visit Baba Obasanjo during his trip to Lagos. A visit to Obasanjo would have given his bid a momentum which he would have taken to other parts of the country on his consultation drive. A visit to any of MC Oluomo, Wizkid and, or Davido would have generated more news in the South West than personalities he met during his visit to the South West.
Navalsadiq: Oga it was an Igbo coup because most of the officers killed were top military officers from the north.
The picture doesn't change anything.if an only if MAI malari believed he was standing in the midst of traitors he would have watched his step and probably still be alive till today
Ifejuana killed Mai malari and Kaduna nzogu killed sar dauna of sokoto
Becareful when dealing with an Igbo man betrayal is a cause that flows in their blood stream.
You forgot to mention the assassination of the Premier of Western Region,Chief Ladoke Akintola, the GOC of 1st Div., Kaduna, General Ademulekun and his wife, by soldiers of Igbo extraction during the January, 1966 coup.
The January 15th, 1966 coup was the '1st leg' of the coup, carried out predominantly by soldiers of Igbo ethnicity while the counter coup, of July 28,1966 was the 'July Rematch' or '2nd leg', carried out mainly by soldiers of Northern origin.
olas24u: why did azikiwe travel when the coup was planned?
Azikiwe has to be out of Nigeria to conviniently justify the assassination of both Balewa and Okotie-Eboh at the Federal level. I am sure you get the gist now.
dragunov: You guys always find a way to twist narrative and whine about Yoruba this, Yoruba that. Yorubas have never been the problem but you people. The officers who planned the coup did not involve Awolowo or any Tiv civilian in the planning and implementation of the coup. Besides, it was not officers drawn from Yoruba and other regions that failed in eliminating the Igbo politicians that were slated for execution. The Prime Minister and Northern premier(Northerners), the premier of the West and Okotiebor of Midwest were eliminated. Mention one Igbo politician eliminated. At the end of the bruhaha, an Igbo officer named Ironsi hijacked the coup and formed a unitary government which template is still in use today. Everybody is always the problem except you people. Nonsense.
wallrichy: You are very wrong there my brother. Yoruba music started dominating the world before Fela.......however, there is always symphony of sincerity, hope and positive rythm of gentleness and calmliness whenever Yoruba music is being aired on TV , Radio and even live show....I could remember a theatrical song of Oluronbi, the performances of Ogunde backed up with Yoruba genealogy rythm, the Olori Igbo, the several Yoruba love songs like Omo Pupa o, Omo Pupa lemi nfe, Omo Pupa o jowo moferan re o.....tin BA de London, mawa fowo oko ranse...........
Yorubas song is also more of a story, a true event being expressed in a sonorous and symphonic lyrics..... In Nigeria presently, any artist that wants to make a hit must either add Yoruba to his song or Collab with a Yoruba artist, without that, your music will be like fly in a pan. Really there is something unique about that Language and even the people......
Unconquerable: I am Ibo but this is 100% correct. No need for unnecessary vitriol here. Also, Seal of Kiss From A Rose, Sade Adu, Lighthouse Family, etc.
'Kiss from a Rose', by Seal. One of the greatest songs of all time.
