GoodIsGod:Muhammadu is the greatest tribalist Nigeria has ever known and today, he is a democratically elected President of Nigeria. Nationalism in Nigeria, under current dispensation in the country, is not only a scam, but extreme stupidity. 'Nothing do you, my Brother.

TheNiceGuy:The only process that could be used to identify and position 'those who fear god', in our public service, is through their track record and performance while in public and private service. I doubt if lany Nigerian public official will admit not to be 'god fearing', if such question is asked. I am sure James Ibori, Ahmed Idris, the suspended AGF, arrested in connection with 108bn fraud, Andrew Yakubu, former NNPC GMD caught with $9.8mm hidden in his house, will all claim to be 'god fearing', if question about their level of 'godliness', is put to them. I am sure Late Sanni Abacha's family members will swear that the Late dictator was also 'god fearing', while he was in public service as well. Professor Oloyede's track record as a 'high performer', was exhibited as a highly successful Vice Chancellor at the University of Ilorin. His current success story as JAMB Registrar, is not in any way, surprising to those who have been following him, since his glorious days at UniIlorin. Imagine the huge difference it would have made if an upright person in the mould of Professor Oloyede, is occupying leadership position at the highest level in the country. It will definitely be a sharp contrast to the abysmal performance of the leaders we have been having since self-rule, in 1951. |

I doubt he will be able to continue as DG of Labor Party Presidential Campaign Council as a non Party member. Urheadmaster:I guessed Peter Obi is greater than the 2 leading politicians of all time, in Igboland, Nnamdi Azikiwe and Dr. Alex Ekwueme, who were betrayed by fellow 'old Anambarians', namely; Dr. Chuba Okadigbo and Chief Jim Nwobodo and 'heaven did not fall'. Professor Soludo is only taking a cue from the strategy used by Bola Tinubu, during the PDP political invasion of Yorubaland, during OBJ 2nd term reelection, in 2002. Soludo still remain an APGA party member and he is protecting the interest of his party and his own political career in Anambra and by extension, Igboland in general. |
Fearyourcreator:It will be more like either Haiti, Yemen or Somalia. Things will definitely fall apart in the enclave because they will definitely face the challenge of leadership and unification. |
maestroferddi:You are entitled to your opinion, Bros. I want you to understand that Fitch is a globally recognized rating institution and I doubt they will be willing to compromise on their pedigree and standards for a 'pot of porridge', from a polician from an obscure third world country, like Nigeria. I want you to understand that their ratings are not 'fool-proof' and their are chances, that the election might go to a run-off, between the 2 leading candidates.

Faiththatworks:Your analysis of the likely performance of the front runner candidates in the 2023 election, is top notch. I do not see any of the candidates having an outright victory in the first ballot. ATK and BAT will likely slug it out in the second ballot. POBI will likely emerge as a 'beautiful bride', after the first ballot, in the mould of Nnamdi Azikiwe, in the 1st and 2nd Republic. POBI will likely decide the winner of the 2023 Presidential election. I see him influencing his followers to vote ATK if no winner emeges in the first ballot. |
NaijaRoyalty:Falae insists on important parameters “I did say sometimes ago that the Yoruba, as a people, are not morally obliged to vote for an Igbo presidential candidate because in 1999, when the rest of Nigeria conceded the presidency to Yoruba, because of MKO Abiola’s issue, it was only the Igbo, who did not. I had to defeat Dr. Chukwuemeka Ezeife in the Alliance for Democracy to become the candidate for the AD/APP. Olusegun Obasanjo had to defeat Dr. Alex Ekwueme in the PDP to become a candidate. “The Igbo were the only ones that opposed both of us in our respective parties; they did not concede to us along with other Nigerians". |
candidtalk:Yeebos are paying a price for the greed and myopic leadership of Azikiwe and his cohorts during Nigeria's agitation for independence. While chief Awolowo advocated for regional autonomy of the 3 Regions and insertion of secession clause during the1954 constitutional confrence, Sir Ahmadu Bello was emphatic with his 'North for North', advocacy. It was only the parasitic Yeebos and their leadership, that advocated for 'One Nigeria' and actually labeled other Nigerians, as 'tribalists', for their informed and sagacious opinions. The treachery of Azikiwe and his contemporaries against other Nigerians, during Nigeria's agitation for independence, is the price Yeebos are paying today. My opposition to secession-Zik Sunday, June 25, 2017 8:28 pm By Nnamdi Azikiwe When the 1954 constitution conference started, my good friend, Chief Obafemi Awolowo tabled a motion to the effect that in the new constitution, provision should be made that any state which feels like seceding should do so. I was opposed to it and said ‘no’ and said that once we have a federation, we are indivisible and perpetual. That was when we began to use that expression – ‘The Indivisibility and perpetuity of the federation’ – and that to secede would amount to treason. And so, a debate ensued. The Secretary of State then was Oliver Littleton, later Lord Chandos and he was very much interested and that was his first time in saying that the people of African descent were people actually debating at a high level. So a full day was given to Chief Awolowo to make his points. He spoke brilliantly as a lawyer. He made his points why secession should be incorporated in the constitution. He cited the case of the Soviet Union which is a federation, and that secession is written there so that any state in the Soviet Union can secede at will. He also cited the case of Western Australia and eventually he finished his case and was applauded. Lord Chandos said that on the face of the arguments before him it would be suicidal to incorporate secession in our constitution and that is why we have section 86 in our constitution that if any region or state should secede, then it will be an act of treason We adjourned. The next day, I had to reply. I availed myself of the opportunity to, well, demolish the arguments of my friend and I cited the case of United States which based its constitution on that of the Swiss Confederation. That is Switzerland. I pointed out a case, I think, that of Texas versus White, where Mr. Salmon Chase, the Chief Justice laid down the principle – he was really an arbiter – that the union was intended to be perpetual and indivisible and that any attempt to divide the union by secession was treasonable. The North (NPC) supported Action Group. The question was then: Should we have secession? The Colonial Office came to our rescue. You know, the usual principle of Britain – ‘divide and rule’ (laughs) but this time, it was in our favour. So, the colonial office backed us. Lord Chandos said that on the face of the arguments before him it would be suicidal to incorporate secession in our constitution and that is why we have section 86 in our constitution that if any region or state should secede, then it will be an act of treason and that was what led to this war, because Col. Ojukwu seceded and so violated the constitution. — Excerpt: Nnamdi Azikiwe’s interview with New Nigeria in 1975 |
spagettiluv:Your analysis of the Igbo race is apt. Thanks for your insightful and strategic reasoning. Words on 'Platinum'; [i] "Only a bastard and a slave, goes to develop other people's land, while is father's own, is left to rotten". |
sulaak:Truth be told, an Nigerian, from the major ethnic groups, in Nigeria, is a tribalist. Chief Obafemi Awolowo and Sardauna of Sokoto were unapologetic regional leaders who did their best to safeguard the interest of their regions from encroachment and subjugation, by the 'wandering' Igbo tribe, of Eastern Nigeria. Chief Awolowo proposed a loose Nigerian Federation which gives each federating unit, the option of pulling out whenever they so desire. Ditto for Sir Ahmadu Bello who was preaching 'North for North' slogan, on behalf of Northern Nigeria. It was only Nnamdi Azikiwe and his Igbo kinsmen who were all over the country as economic destitutes and leeches, that were being deceitful about their commitment to Nationalism and indivisibility of the Nigerian state. Fast-forward to January 1966, the deceit and greed of Azikiwe and his Igbo kinsmen was exposed to the whole world with their annihilation of political and military leaders from every part of Nigeria, to the shameless exclusion of their own in a brazen 'power grabbing' act, that led to the destruction of all the safeguards and political arrangements put in place during 'self rule experiment and eventual independence, from Britain, by our founding fathers. Lest I forget, I am also an apologetic Yoruba tribalist in the mould of Chief Obafemi Awolowo and Sir Adesoji Aderemi, both of Blessed Memories. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5_odAy4rVz8 My opposition to secession-Zik Sunday, June 25, 2017 8:28 pm By Nnamdi Azikiwe When the 1954 constitution conference started, my good friend, Chief Obafemi Awolowo tabled a motion to the effect that in the new constitution, provision should be made that any state which feels like seceding should do so. Now they’ve mired the country in the miry clay. They’re all to be blamed. The West (Awolowo) should have insisted or seceded, the East should have had enough sense to know he’s being used. Your enemies have restrategized and it’s no longer their usual divide and conquer. They united all the entities but empowered the weaker side to dominate the rest in order to create the chaos they needed to Conquer.
