I have a 42 year old brother who for over 18 years has been on hard drugs. He started this habit while in secondary school and couldn't finish tertiary education for same reason. Efforts made by the family to stop him from substance abuse and rehabilitate him at several occasions failed. Each time such effort is made, he recovers after a while but returns to the habit. Currently, he has become mentally deranged and there seems to be no solution at sight.

He has been admitted to different psychiatric hospitals on two occasions. At both times, he was treated and confirmed fit and sound to return to the society. The moment he was discharged, he quickly went back to his old ways and all the resources spent went into the drain. In one of the occasions, we were strongly advised to engage him as joblessness was one of the greatest problem causing the abuse. We got him engaged by securing a fantastic job which he also left after a week of working there. Other meaningful efforts geared towards engaging him to enable him to become occupied and start earning a living as a man also didn’t work out.

We have organised prayer sessions by powerful men of God, nothing has happened yet. I do want to sound like someone without faith. I strongly believe that our able God will make things beautiful at His time. However, the situation has gone out of control and we need to act fast.

These, amongst many, are some of the interventions already done by the family and we cannot fold our arms and watch people mock us in shame every day due to his abnormal activities in the community.

Now what he does is forcefully, take money from our aged mum, sell any family property at sight in exchange for money to buy his drugs. Beat my mum up at any slightest refusal to give him money. He has been jailed many times for committing several offences related to this habit, yet the problem persists. Maybe we have not applied the best approach?

I am calling on fellow Nairalanders to assist with solutions. I believe there are some of us here who may have experienced this problem in one way or the other, or have an advise to give to solve this lingering painful situation. Your personal or professional experience (s) may go a long way in salvaging this situation for us.

I believe a problem shared is a problem solved.

3 Dimensions of Deliverance That Will Set You Free From Addictions

Addiction is a tool of invitation. Everything in life has spirit component to it and whatever you do that you're addicted to is a fulfilment that you've invited the spirit component to come and stay with you.

Traditionalists understand this system. A shrine doesn't just become demonic one day but by the reason of consistency in offering sacrifices, sprinkling of blood and conduction of all kinds of occult sessions there, causes the shrine to become potent demonically. That's why if you're not fit and go there to mess up, the demon(s) that have come there to dwell will kill you, it has nothing to do with whether you believe or not.

You try to put a stone in your room and every morning, worship it by observing an element of a spirit attached to it. Pour palm oil on it. Do that for several times, before you know it, your invitation will be honored and your room becomes demonic to enter for anyone. Your life will be under the lordship of the demons and only God can break the yoke. Even your posterity will suffer it because they must continue the trend. You invited them by addiction out of ignorance and you must finish what you started.

The same thing prayers. You can become addicted to prayers. If you're the kind whose prayer life is on low voltage, the quickest way to resurrect it is start praying. 30 mins everyday. Before you know it, it'd turn to 45 mins, then 1hr etc. Without prayers a single day, you'll become restless. There's a spirit that makes men pray. Intercession is a spirit. And you've invited the spirit, it'll dwell with you.

This is also applicable to reading books. If you find it hard to read, you start with 2 pages before you know it, boom!

The same business; the business people do not understand this. So they only call it consistency principle. When you're consistent in business, you'll surely be successful. One day, someone who values what you offer will patronize you and that will be the starting point of your prosperity.

90% of people who ended up being addicted to one thing or another didn't do out of their own volition sponsored by ill understanding. Someone who takes drug doesn't understand that all these things have spirit components sponsoring them. They go into it ignorantly until they invite the spirit component then it goes out of hand. Then they start to try all gimmicks to get rid of it. You're joking! Just like that? Haba! You're dealing with spirits you invited by ignorance. It will take knowledge and understanding to win that battle.


Deliverance is of three folds:
1. Deliverance by Knowledge and Understanding. This aspect of deliverance, it is the power of information that penetrates your mind that sets you free. The addiction came in by an information but wrong one to erode the mind you expose carelessly. It'll take another information of higher degree in authority to break you loose from the previous. Understanding gives you light to locate this information that will set you free. Usually, God has made this dimension accessible through Christ and by Understanding obtained by the Holy Breath of God, you're guided to the Truth that'll set you free.

2. Deliverance by Prophetic Declarations: there are some vessels whose tongues have been immersed in fire. They speak fire not words again and by the sacrifice of their alignment with God through death, God through Christ has given then authority to bind and loose. Some believe to bind and loose is for everyone, it is true and it is not. If you wanna prove me wrong, you Go and try it. Ask the seven sons of Scheva. It takes higher authority to break chains of Addiction. And by prophetic declaration from an altar burning with real fire, freedom will come by His Grace.

3. The third version of deliverance is by fasting & prayer. I believe so much in prayers. Prayers are universal. It can be deployed within the first two above. Prayers that are rightly handled with the word of God are potent enough to give freedom. But must be offered on holy altar. Holiness is what gives you authority before evil spirits not your prayers nor fasting. Demons that can stay for 200 years without food nor water. How many days will you wait to pay that? Fast and pray but Let holiness speak for you. If the place of holiness is missing, you'll try it and the equation will not balance.

In all, let's always be careful about what and who we expose our minds to. If you feed your mind with right information, your life will bring forth right things. If you join bad gangs and they cause you to loose your mind out of ignorance and carelessness, you'll harm not only yourself, your family and posterity. Your time will be wasted. One day, your kids will insult you, foolish man/woman. Don't let this happen to you. Live a right life. Think about good things and inculcate the habit of honoring everyone.

Hmmmmmmmm well for your information the Bible itself say it's during my own generation that the SACRED SECRETS will be unraveled {Daniel 12:8-13} so God told Daniel (the prophet) to go and relax (in death) because the understanding of what was revealed to him WASN'T FOR HIS OWN GENERATION!

YES! i am much more intelligent today than the ancient servants of God because we are working for the same goal, just that God chose to use miraculous signs to instill the information in them but the fulfilment is taking place in my own generation!

They've touched all the nations on this planet and gathered people for God's name, all of them call their God in the same name! Act 15:14

They've settled all the differences in their midst to the point that even people who hate them will say "Jehovah's Witnesses LOVE themselves" John 13:34-35

They've turned the heart of their members globally into that of little children that will not think of racism in their gathering! Matthew 18:2

They will never support any side against the other during struggle for power to rule amongst people! John 17:16

This has helped them to always maintain neutrality in the face of Politics when others are killing themselves! Isaiah 2:4

Even though they're from different races on this planet, God so much blessed their Organization to the extent that there is understanding in their midst as if they're all speaking the same language! Zephaniah 3:9

The Bible called Jesus "the prince of PEACE" {Isaiah 9:6-7} this people claims to be his true followers and everyone can see that there is true PEACE amongst them!

So with all these undeniable evidences i personally need no further confirmation to believe that this book (Bible) was truly inspired by the Supreme Being GOD!

According to your bible, Thomas was part of Jesus' disciples, and definitely seen him perform various miracles, but doubted that he died and rose again.
Atheists on the other hand have not even seen one single evidence of this Christ. Same with those who believe in him. They just have to believe he exists with faith. We've been hearing that Jesus Christ is coming, for years now.
And yet he's no where to be found.
Now tell me how the case of atheists are related to that of Thomas?
Atheists are not doubting these illogical claims, they're telling you a fact. All these fairy tales don't exist.

I would ask you just two questions

Who's really an atheist? The one who sees yet not believe or the one who did not see at all and based his reasoning on that?

Which one is reality? Truth or Fact?

If you can't answer these questions, then it means you're confused. Your approach to atheism is orchestrated by sense of emotion. And it'd better you retrace your steps now before you attain the age of 50. Otherwise, be ready for slams from your posterity.

So true...Thomas' case is so clear. people can still follow Christ any yet, not believe. Thank God Christ revealed Himself to him eventually. How about Saul( later Paul) , who never met Christ before Crucifixion? He met Christ on his way to Damascus on the mission to persecute Christ and deal with His followers and the rest was history. He wrote most of the books in the New Testament . God has a way of revealing Himself to people. I strongly believe nobody can change the minds of atheists or unbelievers...except God himself because their hearts are hardened already. I pray God reveals who he truly is to them

May God show His mercy to those who are due for it among them because I know not all of them will experience the Grace of one on one encounter with Christ. God will make it happen that the encounter will flow from one person to the others; like Paul to his some of his peers.

I took my time recently to study these people called atheists, I got understand their point of view. They don't believe on only things they don't see and experience and that's quite alright. It takes really a soft heart to believe without seeing and it requires total commitment and brokenness to behold the creator of the universe.

Words written in the Holy Scriptures are too astonishing to believe and it takes genuine faith to believe which they (atheists) don't want to admit. They really want, if it's true that God exists, God to reveal himself to them. Then, they'll believe. One of the examples of atheists was Thomas. Although, He's following Christ, but the doctrine of atheism had covered his eyes and mind from understanding reality of realities.

Blessed is he who believes, yet not seen!

Why hardening your hearts today? If God's gonna show His mercy, he'll reveal Himself to one of them. And that's the one who was influenced ignorantly, ignoring his basic assignment on earth.

Whether you agree or not, it is the devil trying to hijack your intellectual capacity as an advantage to work against you that your hearts maybe hardened and be destroyed like Pharaoh

I also believe in the unification of the Church. I had the revelation sometime ago. God is the one who can unite His church. In His own time, He will make that happen. For now let's focus on turning our hearts back to Him, so that He can revive us again.

It's not news that the world is coming to an end but the end's not yet come. That's why we're going through all these shambles. Pestilences are rampant. Killings everywhere. People no longer have regard for human lives. Peace has been withdrawn from the earth.

Yet, God's with his people. He won't allow them take part in the predicaments that have befallen the earth and everything in it. Through the alignment of His truly called men, he's promised to restore the world to its place.

Right now, to get the world out of this mess, all the true men of God need to humble themselves and come together. This is the mind of God that through agreement of His elected, the world shall be restored. Otherwise, there'll never be any restoration. And this way we see, it shall continue.

Let all the men God called genuinely humble themselves, come together in agreement and call upon the name of the Lord.

Let everyone who's of God also join the movement of prayer chain.

Whichever ever way you understand it, ensure it sinks that if God says Yes to your life, and you the owner say No; your answer will be NO. If God promised you long life and you go out of stupidity set yourself before a railway line, an oncoming train will kill You. Although, there's someone praying somewhere for you but because you've chosen to die, God will not force you to live either. His will, promise for you already is to live and if you say No, then he'll be looking at you perish.
