Focus: Do Not Throw Away Your Confidence

The word for today
Every setback in life is a battle against your confidence. Irrespective of your experience in the journey of destiny never lose your confidence in God and your aspiration because your reward in life depends on it!

"So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised." (Hebrew 10:35-36 NKJV)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Every man with a very beautiful dream goes on in life with great expectations. This expectation comes with great excitement and hope for a better tomorrow. However, the devil the greatest enemy of man at every point in time will try all he can to ensure that such dreams suffer a great setback.
One of the greatest strategies of the evil one against any man in the battle of life is to ensure that he loses his confidence and faith in his dreams. This is because he knows that every battle will be lost when confidence is defeated.
Sometimes when it seems as if God did not intervene in the issues of your life; He is putting the confidence you have in Him and your dreams to test. Irrespective of what betides do not throw away your confidence because your reward in destiny depends on it.
+ Where does your confidence lie? Do you still believe in God and your dream?
Lord! I receive grace to stand strong in the battle of life; I will fulfill my dreams in Jesus' name. Amen!!!
Focus: A Time of Expression
The word for today
When it comes to the time a man is expected to fulfill his mandate he is expected to express himself to show what he is made up of. Your expression in the time of manifestation defines your greatness in destiny!
**********************************
Scriptural Reference
"And it came to pass after many days that the word of the LORD came to Elijah, in the third year, saying, "Go, present yourself to Ahab, and I will send rain on the earth." (1Kings 18:1NKJV)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The greatest evil that can happen to a man is for him to be unavailable in the time of expression. The Lord commanded Elijah to show himself in a bid to put an end to famine (1 Kings 18:1-40). Also, when the time came for God to deliver the Israelites from slavery in Egypt; Moses had to show up to fulfill his mandate even though Pharaoh sought to kill him before the time (Exo 5:1-12).

Queen Vashti lost out on destiny when she refused to express herself at a time that mattered most. The expression of David calmed the nerves of the Israelites after Goliath subjected them to severe oppression for 40 days. All the investment of God over your life is waiting for the day of expression. Each time there is a need for you to fulfill your mandate; you are not expected to hide or flee but to express the glory of God in your life.

Can a man fulfill his mandate by hiding?

Prayer Point
Lord! My destiny will not fail; Let my Glory find expression as when due in Jesus' name. Amen!

Main Emphasis
At the time of expression, you are expected to show up to fulfill your mandate!

Focus: When you are growing weary

The word for today
Do not consider it strange whenever it appears as if you are growing weary in various aspects of life; it only proves that you are a human and will always need God who gives strength to the weary!
**********************************
Scriptural Reference
"Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall, But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint." (Isaiah 40:30-31 NKJV)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The word of God established the fact that young people with strength will come to a point where they will grow weary and their strength will not be enough. When a man appears to be strong, it is because what is beyond him has not come. When life's situation gets out of hand; you are expected to wait upon God for intervention.
It is in waiting upon the Lord that your strength can be renewed. There are 3 categories of strength:
1. Strength to mount up like Eagles.
2. Strength to run and not to be wary.
3. Strength to walk and not faint.
All these you will get from the Lord if you wait properly on Him. Don't allow anything to bring you down as you proceed in destiny but always find strength in the Lord to go forth in destiny.
+ Are you growing weary?
Lord! I receive strength to go forth in destiny in Jesus' name. Amen!
Emphasis:
When you are becoming discouraged and weary; it is time to wait upon the Lord for strength!
~~~Daily Spiritual Digest~~~
  ________________________________
              [21-01-2024]

Focus: Don't Allow Envy

The word for today
The diversity of God's blessings in the lives of people makes life beautiful. Envy arises when one perceives that God has favored another more than oneself, leading to thoughts and actions driven by this destructive emotion!
**********************************
Scriptural Reference
"For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and es cfvery evil practice." (James 3:16 NIV)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Upon deep reflection, it becomes evident that God has blessed each person uniquely. Everyone possesses something others lack and lacks something others possess. The nature of life is such that no one has everything, and greatness is not perpetual. Instead of harboring envy when witnessing others succeed, choose to encourage and support them. Your goodwill will attract blessings according to God's plan for your life.
Feeling sadness or bitterness at someone else's success indicates the presence of the spirit of envy. Seek God's help to overcome this destructive emotion. Avoid the habit of constantly comparing your life to others. While motivation to improve is healthy, striving to replicate someone else's achievements leads to an unfulfilling race. Remember, life unfolds in phases, and individuals come in different sizes. Embrace your unique destiny as a work in progress in God's hands. Your obligation is not to mimic others but to fulfill your unique mandate.
Question for Meditation
Do you appreciate the unique blessings of God in your life?
Prayer Point
Dear Lord, help me overcome any spirit of envy and bitterness. Let me appreciate the diverse blessings in my life and the lives of others in Jesus' name! Amen!
Main Emphasis:
Life is diverse, and God's blessings come in unique phases. Instead of comparing; encourage and support others, understanding that your unique destiny is a work in progress in God's hands.
                  [19-01-2024]
Focus: The Risk God Took Using Men
The word for today
Human beings are inherently prone to imperfections, errors, and moral shortcomings. The fallible nature of man introduces considerable risk when God entrusts extensive power and authority to individuals!
**********************************
Scriptural Reference
" So Samuel grew, and the LORD was with him and let none of his words fall to the ground. (1Samuel 3:19 NKJV)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Lord observed Samuel's growth and took a significant risk in approving all he did, ensuring none of his words fell to the ground. Across generations, God persists in entrusting His business to fallible humanity, aware of their susceptibility to sinful nature. Consequently, God remains vigilant, seeking faithful priests who will carry out His will from generation to generation.

Saul's rejection by God illustrates the repercussions of disobedience, highlighting the risk of entrusting power to those proven untrustworthy. Jeroboam, initially favored by God with ten tribes of Israel, was disappointed when he succumbed to sinful nature, leading the Israelites into idolatry and sin. Tragically, Jeroboam's actions became a model for subsequent kings, leaving a legacy of sin.

God, therefore, scrutinizes lives to ascertain if individuals can be trusted to faithfully steward His work and people. The Lord is attentively observing your life, assessing whether you will prove faithful in your designated domain. He watches to ensure His work and people are secure in your care, and that you won't exploit the souls He redeemed with the price of His blood. Many have faltered in this regard, and some still do. You must reach the end of yourself, allowing God to work in you and fulfill His good pleasure.

Can the Lord trust and depend on you in your designated domain?

Dear Lord, grant me the strength and wisdom to be faithful in the domain You've placed me; let me never fail You in Jesus' name! Amen!

Emphasis:
The fallible nature of man introduces inherent risks when God entrusts significant power and authority.

Focus:Significance of Honouring God

The word for today
Every time you honor God by obeying His word and magnifying His name, you sow a seed of honor in your destiny. The honorability of your life is determined by how God perceives your life to be honorable in His presence and how much He stands by your side to bring His word to pass!
**********************************
Scriptural Reference
"But now the LORD says: "Far be it from Me; for those who honor Me I will honor, and those who despise Me shall be lightly esteemed. (1Samuel 2:30 NKJV)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Our actions consistently convey either a perception of honour or dishonour to God. When the Lord observed the lifestyle of the sons of Eli, He found that they dishonoured Him in their consecrated place. Consequently, the Lord changed His mind regarding them and refrained from fulfilling the promises made to their forefathers.
The promises of God will only be fulfilled on the premise of His promises. God identified as the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob because they Honour Him at the critical point of their lives. The 3 Hebrews honoured God, and He stood with them in the fiery furnace to fulfill His word. Conversely, God is reluctant to associate His name with the lives of the sons of Eli and contemplates their destruction.
Avoid the dishonorable path of disobedience to God and His will in your consecrated place. Do not sacrifice His precious plans for you and your role in His purpose on the altar of greed, disobedience, and unrighteousness.
Do you honour God with your life and decision?
Dear Lord, grant us the wisdom and strength to honour You in our consecrated places, and help us avoid the dishonorable path of disobedience in Jesus' Amen!
Emphasis:
When you honour God, He will honour you, but when you dishonour Him, you will be dishonoured.
  ________________________________
                  [15-01-2024]
Focus: Beware of God's Anger
The word for today
The gravest misfortune a person can face is for God to be determined to eliminate them at any cost. Repent from your wicked ways and honour God in your consecrated space. Never reach a point where God has to harden your heart, leading to your destruction!
**********************************
Scriptural Reference
"If one man sins against another, God will judge him. But if a man sins against the LORD, who will intercede for him?" Nevertheless, they did not heed the voice of their father, because the LORD desired to kill them. (1Samuel 2:25 NKJV)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Eli cautioned his sons against incurring the wrath of God, emphasizing that when God determines to act, no one can thwart His intentions. While God can save a person from external oppression, who can rescue them when God chooses to eliminate them? It is imperative for us all to be vigilant and not take the grace of God for granted. A person who persists in wrongdoing, seemingly without immediate consequences, may be emboldened to continue until eventual destruction.

Reflecting on God's dealings with Pharaoh, when He wanted to bring about his downfall, He hardened Pharaoh's heart. Pharaoh remained oblivious to the signs God presented through the ten plagues in Egypt until destruction befell him at the Red Sea. God, in His graciousness, warns us through His Word and various occurrences around us, urging us not to be entangled in the web of wickedness before repentance.

The people of God will always desire to honour God by offering various sacrifices, including their bodies, time, resources, and hard-earned money. If a supposed man of God misappropriates these sacrifices for selfish gains, akin to the sons of Eli, who will deliver them when God executes judgment? Repentance should not be postponed until God decides on destruction.

In the face of God's potential judgment, who will rescue a person when He decides to bring about their downfall?

Dear Lord, shield me from Your wrath. I commit to doing Your will and relying on Your mercy. May I never experience the consequences of Your judgment in Jesus' Amen!

Emphasis:
When God decides to destroy a wicked man no one can stop Him.

Have a Delightful Week Ahead!

Focus: The Report of Your Life

The word for today
Every action in your daily life is being recorded, and your way of living is not concealed. Be mindful of your conduct at all times, for even if God and humanity choose to forgive your deeds, history will not forget them!
**********************************
Scriptural Reference
"Eli said to them, "I have been hearing reports from the people about the wicked things you are doing. Why do you keep sinning? You must stop, my sons! The reports I hear among the LORD's people are not good." (1Samuel 2:23 NLT)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The account of the deeds of the sons of Eli reached him, spreading widely among the congregation of God's people. Drawing from his understanding of God's character, Eli advised them to cease from their sinful ways. What remains unknown is only what you abstain from doing. Jesus affirmed that all secrets will eventually come to light, and everything hidden will be revealed for all to see (Luke 8:17).
We've heard of teachers supporting students in exam malpractice, judges accepting bribes to pervert justice, lecturers involved in unethical practices like sex or money for grades, doctors engaging in illicit activities such as organ harvesting and abortion, police providing ammunition for criminals, and pastors participating in rituals, sexual immorality, and exploiting souls in their care.
Conversely, we've also heard about teachers selflessly organizing extra lessons to ensure students succeed in righteousness, judges rejecting bribes to uphold justice, doctors viewing their profession as a ministry and saving numerous lives, lecturers maintaining high academic standards, pastors winning souls and nurturing them for God's use and eternity, and individuals offering homes to the homeless, providing comfort to the oppressed, and meeting the needs of the needy. These stand as reports of the lives of certain individuals.
What is the reputation surrounding your actions? Why persist in sinful behavior? Have you ceased engaging in what is right?
Dear Lord, help us to yield ourselves to You and live a life that brings honour to You in Jesus' name. Amen!
Emphasis:
There are no secrets; your deeds are being reported, and the Lord meticulously takes note of them, including every intent of the heart.
Focus: Fulfill your Vows
The word for today
At times, our challenging experiences drive us to make solemn promises to God and His people, aspiring for a breakthrough. When God, in His graciousness, fulfills your requests, do not hesitate to honor the vows you've made!
**********************************
Scriptural Reference
"And the LORD was gracious to Hannah; she conceived and gave birth to three sons and two daughters. Meanwhile, the boy Samuel grew up in the presence of the LORD." (1 Samuel 2:21 NIV)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The pursuit of blessings, material possessions, relief from pain or sickness, promotion, and breakthroughs often leads individuals to make significant promises and commitments to God. In the case of Hannah, she pledged, "If God grants her a son, she will dedicate him to the LORD for all the days of his life." The Lord honored her request as it harmonized with His purpose.

A subtle desire resonates within God for His people; He desires our presence and involvement in everything He undertakes on earth. He desires our existence to contribute meaningfully to the fulfillment of His purpose. Hannah's magnanimity in fulfilling her vow pleased the Lord, resulting in His blessings and the gift of more children.

Consider an individual who pledges a lifetime of service to the Lord in exchange for healing, employment, a child, survival, or a unique miracle – God, in His faithfulness, readily fulfills these promises, for such actions draw individuals closer to Him. However, failing to honor vows displeases the Lord. Contributing to the Lord is a guaranteed way to safeguard your resources; lending to the Lord ensures no loss. Regardless of circumstances, do not neglect fulfilling your vows.

Is there any vow you have yet to fulfill?

Dear Lord, in my pursuit of blessings and breakthroughs, grant me the grace to align everything I do with Your purpose. Help me fulfill any outstanding commitments and promises I've made to You in Jesus' name. Amen!

Emphasis:
Our hearts need to be steadfast in fulfilling vows made to the Lord, recognizing that sincerity in our commitments brings us closer to His divine favour and blessings.

Focus: Extraordinary actions for God's response

The word for today
A person might not attain certain goals or experience a remarkable breakthrough until they deviate from their usual routine. When your aspirations align with God's purpose, you prompt Him to act on your behalf!
**********************************
Scriptural Reference
"And she made a vow, saying, "O LORD Almighty, if you will only look upon your servant's misery and remember me, and not forget your servant but give her a son, then I will give him to the LORD for all the days of his life, and no razor will ever be used on his head." (1 Samuel 1:11 NIV)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In the pursuit of God's favour, certain endeavours remain unattainable until one reaches the end of personal limitations, ushering in the need for extraordinary actions that align with the divine purpose. Consider the narrative of Hannah, a woman whose heart's cry for a son persisted for years after numerous disappointments. Her unwavering commitment to offering her child to the Lord demonstrates an extraordinary commitment beyond conventional expectations.
Heaven is responsive to earthly endeavours aligned with God's will. Some dimensions of greatness or solutions require an individual to transcend conventional limits and do something extraordinary. Elisha's supernatural achievements, Joseph's resilience in adversity, Daniel's unwavering faith, and the courage of the three Hebrews in the fiery furnace are testaments to extraordinary actions yielding extraordinary results.
Your life's circumstances await a unique and extraordinary response in alignment with God's will for a transformative turnaround. Be poised to honor God and diligently carry out His will on earth as it is in heaven.
Have you identified areas where your actions need to transcend personal limitations, leading to extraordinary endeavours in alignment with His divine purpose?
Dear Lord, guide me to the end of my personal limitations, where extraordinary actions in harmony with Your divine purpose become a reality in Jesus' name. Amen!
Emphasis:
When individuals go beyond the norm, pushing the boundaries of ordinary expectations, they beckon God's response.
Focus: The sons of Eli
The word for today
The disgraceful act of dishonoring God in the sacred space designated for His worship sets a path toward destruction, much like the fate of Eli's sons. God's call upon your life is to embrace a profound indebtedness as His chosen ones—members of a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people exclusively His.
**********************************
Scriptural Reference
"Eli's sons were wicked men; they had no regard for the LORD." (1Samuel 2:12 NIV)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
What is happening in the fold of God today is not new; rather, it represents a progression from what unfolded in the past. The Scripture, divinely inspired, holds value for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and guiding in righteousness. The lifestyle exhibited by the sons of Eli epitomizes a generation of individuals who dishonour God in their sacred places of dedication. Such echoes of dishonour persist even in our times, resembling those entrusted by the Lord with the souls He redeemed through His own blood.

To dishonor God is to possess knowledge of His word yet deliberately disregard it in favour of personal desires. The sons of Eli indulged themselves in the offerings meant for God, seizing the honour intended for Him and diverting people's attention toward themselves rather than God. Their teaching merely served self-interest, cloaked in a facade of meeting others' needs while driven by a thirst for wealth. Some even advocate neglecting family obligations to sow seeds into their ministry. Their focus isn't on nurturing the spiritual growth of those under their care but on personal gains, fame, and material possessions.

They disdain ministering to smaller congregations and those of humble status. Similar to the sons of Eli, their actions remain transparent before the Lord. Persisting in defiling their consecration with sin, greed, and selfishness, their impending end and ruin are evident. Exploiting souls for personal gain, especially those for whom Christ died, cannot go unpunished. It is wiser to distance oneself from God's work than to become a disgrace in His presence.

Who do you choose to be in God's presence?

Lord, purge your fold of every resemblance to the sons of Eli in Jesus' name. Amen!

Emphasis:
When a man becomes dishonorable enough to disrespect God in the place of his consecration, he will meet a fate similar to that of the sons of Eli.

Focus: Surrender fully to God

The word for today
When you fully surrender your life to God, you will be amazed at how the Lord will make your matter a big deal. The Lord will act on your behalf.
************************************
Scriptural Reference
"He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap; he seats them with princes, with the princes of their people. He settles the barren woman in her home as a happy mother of children. Praise the LORD." (Psalm 113:7-9 NIV)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When you commit faithfully to God, He reciprocates that commitment to you. Leading a life dedicated to obeying and serving God never ends in waste or misery. Sometimes, the devil deceives individuals into thinking they can outsmart the Lord's instructions. Initially, this might seem beneficial, but ultimately, it leads to losing out on the true purpose of life.
Joseph's life, even as a slave, mattered greatly to God because of his faithfulness and righteousness. Similarly, Daniel and his three friends' lives became significant through their faithful obedience, despite being captives. God honored them, elevating them to esteemed positions. If you honor God and walk in His ways, your life will necessitate divine intervention.
The Almighty God is limitless in His abilities, capable of doing extraordinary things in a person's life. He is trustworthy, and when we rely on Him, disappointment is never the outcome. Surrender every aspect of your life to Him entirely. His capacity exceeds our thoughts, actions, and desires, enabling Him to do exceedingly and abundantly more than we can ever imagine or ask for.
Have you surrendered to God?
Lord! I received the grace to surrender to You in Jesus' name. Amen!
Emphasis:
There is no limit to what you can be in righteousness if you absolutely surrender to God.
Focus: Abide Under the shadow of the Almighty
The word for today
Your safety as a child of God is only guaranteed when you abide under the shadow of God the Almighty. The evil one has not succeeded over a man until he ensures that he no longer dwells in the secret place of the Most High!
************************************
Scriptural Reference
"He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty." (Psalm 91:1 NKJV)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The greatest battle of the devil against the people of God is to make sure they are not under the shadow of the Almighty. The Lord Jesus gave an illustration of the prodigal son who thought he would do well going away from the Father, but his life turned out to be miserable. Things fall into the rightful place for him when he returns to the Father. No matter how wonderful the life of a man may appear to be, his life will turn out miserable if his life is not under the shadow of the Almighty.

The evil uses various bait associated with money to lure men away from the Shadow of the almighty. It is an outright deception of the devil to think there is something you cannot become through righteousness in Christ. It is very costly for a man's life to operate outside the shadow of the Almighty. God will only be your refuge and fortress; your shield and buckler, protect you from terror, evil arrow, pestilence, and destruction that lays waste at noonday; if and only if you abide under His shadow.

With God standing by your side; no evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; He will satisfy you with long life and show you His salvation.

Do you dwell in the secret place of the Most High?

Lord! Your presence will be my shield and guide; always stand by me to bring your word to pass in my life in Jesus' name. Amen!

Emphasis
Your life, destiny, and purpose are only secured when you dwell in the shadow of the Almighty.

Scriptural Reference
"If the LORD had not been on our side when people rose up against us, they would have swallowed us alive because of their burning anger against us." (Psalm124:2-3 NLT)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If you are reading this; the Lord has been gracious to you. It is a pity that many have wonderful prospects and aspirations who are no more today. We are alive today not because we have strength, wisdom or we are careful enough to pass through evils associated with each day but because the Lord in His mercy chooses to stand by us and keep us safe.
When we don't even know the enemies that presented themselves as friends to get involved in our affairs, the Lord still kept us safe. We have no idea if there are even some people who embark on a special journey to do evil because the Lord put their counsel and enterprise to nothing. Despite every situation that appears in the form of hardship, challenges, adversity, sickness, disappointment, lack, and hopelessness the Lord made us all to scale through. Only God can do this; if not Him, who else?
You may have not achieved what you think you might have achieved by now; the fact that you have a life is an assurance that you will achieve even more. Can you pause what you are doing and appreciate God? Irrespective of what has happened and what will happen God remains God, and He needs no man to be the God He is.
If the LORD had not been on your side what would your life have been?
Focus: Grace in the Heart
The word for today
What we must always emphasize in all offerings and acts of giving, is the grace in the heart of the giver, not the size, quality, or quantity. It is the grace of God at work in the heart of a giver that makes whatever a man gives acceptable - Gbile Akanni!
************************************
Scriptural Reference
"So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver." (2 Corinthians 9:7)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Willingness and cheerfulness from the heart of worship are the ultimate qualities God expects from every act of giving. Whatever you give grudgingly and after being motivated or pressured is not acceptable to God. So also whatever you give to satisfy the sinful nature. The acceptability of your offering to God begins when you see it as a great privilege.

Grace in a man's heart will help him to see giving as a privilege. Such will not be ashamed to give anything no matter how small. The ultimate giving is the release of your life selflessly in service to God and the brethren.

This is what that grace is all about. It is about making others rich even if we become poor. The issue in giving is grace, not a show. The souls of men are much more important and that is the greatest offering you can offer to God.

+ Are you a man full of grace?

Giving will never be an issue when there is grace in the heart of the giver!

The word for today
The government of the son is the one that reflects His Glory to establish His divine purpose on earth. The ultimate desire of the Lord, who rules in all affairs of men, is for His sons to represent Him accurately in His fullness!
************************************
Scriptural Reference
"For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6 NKJV)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The way Christ lived while on earth is the prototype of how we should live if we must fulfill our mandate and establish His purpose. We must understand that our calling as the sons of God is to be who God wants us to be and to resemble Christ in His attributes. Hence, our lives are not about us but of Christ through whom all things exist.
The Government of the Son as specified by Christ is a type that depends absolutely on God and does the will of God as it is in heaven. It is a government that is based on love, forgiveness, and compassion and does not harbor grudges. Focus: As Unto the Lord
The word for today
Whatever will last and please God is what is done based on God's specifications and not on men's. Our world will be a wonderful place if all things will be done as unto the Lord!
************************************
Scriptural Reference
"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving." (Colossians 3:23-24 NIV).
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The major problem of our generation is nothing else but ignoring the precept of God. If every man is mindful of the fact that God is involved in all affairs, things will fall into their rightful place.

Sometimes when we observe developed countries, we admire most of what we see in terms of infrastructure, technological advancement, service to humanity, and plans and vision for its citizens. Going through the memory lane and history, you will discover that men who were at the helm of various affairs of the country were men who performed their duties as if they were serving God.

You also have an opportunity today, you are a servant of God in the domain of your placement. Do away with eye service, live not your life to please men. Render your services with the fear of God. You will be held responsible for every life lost on the account of your service be it a Pastor, Teacher, Doctor, Engineer, Lawyer, Politician, Scientist, Journalist, Banker, Accountant, etc.

Are you serving God with your profession?

Lord! Help me to serve you with whatever I am and will be in Jesus' name. Amen!

Emphasis:
You have not served until you serve God with your profession!

Focus: That no Man Should Glory in Flesh

The word for today
Each time God allows His people to face various challenges in various aspects of life; He does that to ensure that no man takes glory in flesh. He will not but always bring men to the end of themselves to renew their intense desire for Him!
************************************
Scriptural Reference
"But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, that no flesh should glory in His presence." (1 Corinthians 1:27-29 NKJV)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The major reason behind the various failures or misfortunes we experience in various aspects of life as children of God is to ensure that we lose confidence to the best of our capability and to put absolute trust in Him. Take for example; despite all you have you still lack some things readily available to someone so very close to you. Even those you think they have what you don't have lack something else.
It is not enough that you are smart, have experience, connections, skill, certificates, and good moral characteristics; you are still not made until you have come to understand that the race is not for the swift, nor battle for the strong, nor riches for men of understanding (Eccl 9:11). The Lord wants a situation whereby when people look at your life the only explanation they will have is - it is God (2Cor 4:7). Don't wrestle with God in any aspect of life but rather acknowledge Him to have His way because He will never allow the flesh to glory in His presence.
Are you not vulnerable in various areas?
-
Lord! I need you every hour in Jesus' name. Amen!
Emphasis:
The beauty of our lives is that we all have areas of vulnerability!
Focus: Identifying your Season
The word for today
In the calendar of God for your life, you are in a particular season. Identifying your season is critical to applying your heart to wisdom and knowing what is expected of you!
************************************
Scriptural Reference
"There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven:" (Ecclesiastes 3:1 NIV).
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Life is characterized by different seasons. It is on the account of different seasons of life that we are categorized as children, young people, and adults. There is an activity associated with every season of your life.

Irrespective of the season of your life the fact remains that no season lasts forever. A child will think like a child and prophesy about his future. In that season, people make decisions for him and provide for him all that he needs. He needs not worry about many things in life.

When he becomes a youth, he becomes conscious of himself and makes his own choice to lay the foundation of his career, marriage, ministry, spiritual life, social life, etc.

When he becomes an adult he shifts his focus from himself to his children and other relationships. He loses interest in several activities of life. At a point, he gives his children out in marriage and also has a daughter-in-law. Also, the news of the death of his friends, husband/wife, and colleagues will come to him before He passes on to eternity.

+ Have you identified your season?

Lord! Help me to fulfill my days in Jesus' name. Amen!

Your life is designed uniquely to operate within the limit of a season!

Focus: Do not be Discouraged

The word for today
Discouragement is a tool the devil always uses to hinder a man from forging ahead to victory and success. Don't be discouraged about anything good you have started or aiming at but be encouraged to succeed in it!
************************************
Scriptural Reference
"I command you--be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the LORD your God is with you wherever you go." (Joshua 1:9 NLT)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
One of those things you will not but always experience in everything you do is discouragement. You will be tempted to quit your marriage, relationships, business, ministry, career, church, and the things you do for God on account of setbacks or unfavourable outcomes.
When your expectations over certain issues of life are not met do all you can to ensure improvement. The evil one has not succeeded in whatever you do until he stops you from pursuing your goal. At a point, the Israelites by the hardship and setbacks they faced on the pathway to the promised land contemplate not forging ahead but rather returning to Egypt. The ultimate goal of discouragement is to take back or put your life on hold. Whenever discouragement comes always find grace and strength in God to encourage yourself to forge ahead!
Are you discouraged about things?
Lord! I will not be discouraged; come what may I will reach my goal in Jesus' name. Amen!
Emphasis:
Discouragement weakens the required strength you need to achieve your goal. A man will deprive himself of his blessings whenever he becomes discouraged.
The word for today
The man who will receive what God has promised is the one who will wait till the last moment. You have not believed in God until you waited on Him till the last moment!
************************************
Scriptural Reference
"But he who endures to the end will be saved." (Matthew 24:13 AMP).
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Your salvation is guaranteed in God if you will wait upon Him. The fact that God is an expert in making things beautiful in His own time makes Him leave some things undone till the perfect time when His Glory will be best manifested.

Victory is always sweet when it comes at the last moment. And when it comes, it comes with an inspiration and glory that is attributed to God alone.

When you find yourself in various situations of life that appear hopeless and without prospect, hold onto God and wait upon Him till His salvation comes.

Every test, trial, or life challenge has an end. They are meant to come and to pass. You will only be saved if you endure to the end. Endurance is part of the qualities you must possess as a child of God. Your victory is placed at the end of every life situation; hence, hold on till the end.

Will wait upon the Lord till the last moment?

There are several mysteries about life which is beyond human comprehension. If only you can pause a little and think about your life this year, you will discover that God has been gracious to you. God has done so much for us and we cannot tell it all. Despite the effect of the hard time imposed on the entire human race in terms of loss of life, jobs, careers, materials, and relationships; the Lord brought us this far.

The Lord deserves nothing but our appreciation and worship. Faith in God demands that you believe that all He does is good and the best for you. Focus: Between Mercy and Merit

The word for today
The major difference between merit and mercy is the degree of God's involvement in various issues of life. Merit speaks more of your capacity while mercy denotes the capacity of God working on your behalf!
************************************
Scriptural Reference
"For He says to Moses, "I will have mercy on whomever I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whomever I will have compassion." So then it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy." (Romans 9:15-16 NKJV).
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Even though God expects you to play your part in every issue that has to do with your life; He does not want you to depend on your strength alone. The Lord wants you to depend and trust your entire life to Him in all issues of life.
Merit sets a limit to how far you can go or the position of your placement but mercy qualifies you beyond your qualification. You have never seen or have access to some places, but when God decides to have mercy on you; God's mercy will speak for you there.
The beauty of your capability is in how much your life operates under His mercy. Life has proven over time that; what you get is not commensurate to the level of your effort or capability. Until a man understands the concept of God's mercy; he will never enjoy the fullness of God's goodness in the land of the living.
Do you desire God's mercy above merit?
Focus: The Lord's Mercy
The word for today
We are not spared from destruction because of our righteous deeds or the avoidance of mistakes, but due to the boundless mercy of the Lord. From generation to generation, His unwavering faithfulness shines through, His compassion does not fail even amidst human unfaithfulness!
************************************
Scriptural Reference
"Through the LORD's mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not." (Lamentation 3:22 NKJV)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It's by God's unfailing mercy that we've traversed this journey of existence, not by our worthiness. Even as we strive to do what is right and obey God in every facet of life, our ultimate assurance rests not on our deeds, but on His mercy over our lives.

Consider the example of the three Hebrews who, by refusing to bow to the golden image, trusted not in their obedience but in God's mercy (Dan 3:16-17). They acknowledged that God might save them or not, recognizing His prerogative to extend mercy to whom He wills. Yet, in His faithfulness and mercy, God stood by them, fulfilling His promise. Therefore, the certainty of being preserved lies solely in God's merciful intervention.

As we journey through destiny, always bear in mind that entitlement doesn't arise from our actions; instead, we must continually seek His mercy. Progress in life and the fulfillment of our purpose hinges solely upon His mercy. Our prayers, endeavors, and accomplishments find merit only by His mercy. Regardless of our experiences and efforts, yearn for His mercy in every aspect of life – in our pursuits, homes, ministries, businesses, academics, relationships, and our very lives.

+ Do you desire God's mercy?

Lord! Be pleased to show me your mercy in Jesus' name. Amen!

In the pursuit of life's crucial decisions,
Seeking the counsel of the Lord is an indispensable aspect that deserves profound attention. The one who rules all affairs of men has a say in every step you take, which can determine life or death!
************************************
Scriptural Reference
"But Jehoshaphat also said to the king of Israel, "First seek the counsel of the LORD." (1Kings 22:5 NIV)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
One of the most intelligent choices in any aspect of your life is to seek God's guidance continually. This is the core of unmatched wisdom: a timeless warning to seek the help of the Almighty at all times, a compass that leads us safely through life's rough seas. While moving forward in life, remember that it's full of uncertainties. The assurance that you're on the right path comes from following God's guidance. Jehoshaphat recognized the need to seek God's advice to gain insight into the upcoming battle.
Hence, don't venture through the journey of life or its various challenges without seeking God's guidance. There's something God wants to convey about your marriage, studies, ministry, business, career, home, and commitments. He has a specific life in mind for you to fulfill your purpose and calling.
Is your life receptive to divine counsel?
Embrace the divine counsel as a beacon guiding through life's turbulent tides. In seeking His wisdom, discover the guidance for your actions, the harmony for your soul, and the roadmap to fulfilling your life's divine purpose.
The word for today
There is nothing you desire that has not been done for several people this year. It is only those who call upon the name of the Lord to walk and work in the direction of His plans for their lives that will be saved!
************************************
Scriptural Reference
"And everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved; for on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be deliverance, as the LORD has said, among the survivors whom the LORD calls." (Joel 2:32 NIV)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It is true that the Lord knows what is best for us and He deals with men based on divine timing. However, when God is set to bless a man He does not present the blessing to him on the platter of gold but rather presents and creates opportunities through which he can become blessed.

In Mark 10:46-52; Bartimaeus took the advantage of when Jesus was passing his way to get healed. What would have happened to him if he never cared to know that Jesus was passing. I am so sure He was not the only one who needed help but He was the only one that was saved.

You have also heard of what the Lord has done in the lives of men; it is your turn to call upon the Lord to visit your case. It is true that you have been praying and possibly have taken fate over some issues; when your joy is not full Jesus said keep asking.

Do you need healing, salvation, fruitfulness, miracles based on the peculiarity of the issues in your life; call upon the name of the Lord. The evidence of his works in the lives of faithful men is enough to tell him not to pass you by.

Do you still believe in your salvation in every issue of life or have you taken your fate?

Focus: The End of Every Oppressor

The word for today
You become an oppressor each time you take advantage of the strength and authority you have over those who are weak to subject them to hardship. The end of every man who presents himself as an oppressor in any capacity will be like that of Pharaoh!
************************************
Scriptural Reference
"Then the waters returned and covered the chariots, the horsemen, and all the army of Pharaoh that came into the sea after them. Not so much as one of them remained." (Exodus 14:28 NKJV)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Pharaoh was a stubborn ruler who subjected the Israelites to intense labour and hardship. He intended to make them slaves forever. Pharaoh is a symbol of hindrance or impediment to the promised land.
There are several Pharaohs in our days:
✴️They are people who have only one aim; to oppress people.
✴️Those who do not live with the orientation that there is a measure of God in the lives of every man who must be treated with dignity, love, and respect.
✴️Those who arrogantly yield to their own will at the expense of God's will.
✴️Those who do not give up on subjecting men to oppression irrespective of the warning signs presented to them.
✴️Those who stand in the way of a man's progress or promotion to the next level.
✴️Those who take pleasure in seeing men suffering.
✴️Those who have what it takes to help people to their next level but fail to do so.
✴️Those who fail to forgive those who offend them.
When God in His mercy brings you to a limelight of influence, power, and authority; be careful not to make yourself a Pharoah. God's verdict over Pharaoh is that his heart will be hard to bring about his destruction. A man whose heart is hard against God's instruction is heading towards his destruction like Pharaoh.
Are you free from the spirit that oppresses people?
Lord! May I never be an oppressor in Jesus' name. Amen!
Emphasis:
The plan of God for every man who will continue to present himself as Pharaoh in whatever capacity is absolute destruction.
