That's what you get when high school dropouts get into the internet! tylann: |
So if I admit that country A is better than Kenya in a particular aspect, how is that a blunder? This thread is mainly Kenya versus Nigeria.Hence my shots aren't fired at Angola or Algeria or Ghana or South Africa for that matter! Danielnino00: |
I can't decipher your message.Go back to school! Danielnino00: |
I post because I feel like it.When that big FDI from the oyinbos come. Why don't you reject it? The oyinbos control your oil sector, lets start from there! AskiaHarem: |

Big economy and small population might as well apply to Egypt! A better country than Nigeria! Danielnino00: |

Angola are actually ahead of us in GDP terms, but given the trend of our growth....we will surpass them soon. They aren't that far off now! The gap is only 8 billion dollars going by the current IMF stats. As for Algeria, their numbers are good.We long agreed that they are a top top country. We just have issues with Nigeria which is a resource based economy like this two with nothing to show! ''Minerals have aided much Angola and Algeria but not Nigeria''-I want you to sing this line in quote! samorobo: |
More like the quality seekers go to Ghana and Kenyan Universities! forgiveness: |

The World’s Largest Single Turbine Geothermal Plant, Kenya’s Olkaria IV geothermal power plant The Olkaria IV project is the fourth and largest in a series of geothermal power plants in Kenya’s Eastern Rift Valley. Kenya was the first African country to build and exploit geothermal energy sources. The facility also run the world's largest natural steam heated spa! Wildlife(herbivores only) can also be found grazing around the plant!

Nigerians have a fetish for GDP! There's a new angle of thought in economics known as 'GDP FETISHISM' Nigerians wankk of their GDP.Joseph Stiglitz, the Columbia University economist (a Nobel Prize laureate who once taught at the University of Nairobi), calls it GDP fetishism (probably for a lack of better word). Be wary of GDP fetishists. Whilst many Nigerians will come to Kenya for a myriad of reasons, very very little to no Kenyan would head to Nigeria simply because that GDP isn't anywhere to be seen on the ground or the place isn't the 'real deal'.The country has the largest population of poor people, that big GDP is silent on this. The average Egyptian is richer than the average Nigerian, that's a fact.Ghana is more livable that Nigeria, this is another fact! They will throw their ' BIG GDP' when the arguments turn murkier on their side! As Ally-Khan Satchu an economist based in Nairobi said,''We don't eat GDP' Be wary of the GDP fetishists! https://www.econlib.org/library/Columns/y2010/HendersonGDP.html vaxx1: |

My pal is a special educator, she says it's tough teaching kids with severe mental retardation.I tell her that she has it easy as it's a tall order to get Nigerians understanding a simple fact! mtisTheQubit: |
Good luck with that! davefurn: |
That's such a weak argument! It's like expecting Greek and Iran to be world-beaters in economics just because of a remarkable past history spanning thousands of years ago! ! davefurn: |
The presidential ballot shouldn't be a paper or booklet,it's more likely to be a novel! rvp2018: |
What's with this numbers if they aren't felt on the ground? Alright let's take it,interesting seeing Egypt breathing on your necks with the half of population that you have! forgiveness: |
Of course the tarrifs are a bit higher. We are investing more in renewable sources to address this.We are now focusing more in geothermal-our geothermal capacity potential is up to 10,000 MW. But nonetheless, this is a blessing in disguise as we rarely get black outs! You have many players and it brings competition... you have adequate power,” she said. samorobo: |
