A trip to the grocery store turns into an epic performance of Rev. Paul Jones' gospel song "I Won't Complain" in this video uploaded by YouTube user David Whitney. The singer, clad in a puffy gray jacket and a New York Giants beanie, responds to the camerawoman's cue to "just sing a little bit for me." As he strolls through the refrigerated section of what appears to be a store in the Texas-based Super 1 Foods chain, his solo escalates in intensity and pitch."He's been so good to me," he sings in the chorus. "More than this whole world will ever be."At the end, cheers from listeners ring out throughout the store.Watch this impromptu gospel performance, and SHARE the encouragement. The two United Methodist pastors made that promise before God and each other in a wedding Dec. 7 that drew more than 300 people to Tibbetts United Methodist Church in Seattle. The district superintendent for the two pastors, the Rev. Patricia Simpson, officiated.Their promise means they will face whatever happens to them because they have disregarded The United Methodist Church’s ban on same-sex unions.Simpson could face charges under church law for officiating. It also is against church law for a same-sex ceremony to be held in a United Methodist church. The marriage of the same-sex clergy couple marked what is a first in the Pacific Northwest Annual (regional) Conference — and likely a first for the denomination. SAN FRANCISCO, Dec. 20 (UPI) .A much-ballyhooed nude wedding on the steps of San Francisco City Hall made it through the ceremony, but ended with the bride and groom cited.Nudity activist Gypsy Taub, 44, and boyfriend Jaymz Smith, 20, began the ceremony Thursday in thrift store formal wear and Taub spent some time speaking on causes including wars, stolen elections, reincarnation and the city's nudity ban, which the wedding was protesting, while waiting for the event's late band, the San Francisco Chronicle reported Friday."This is a protest against the nudity ban as much as it is a wedding.I know that the people of San Francisco are behind me," Taub said. The first Godless Church of America is here As we get closer and closer to the Rapture, and the Great Tribulation that will follow it, we see the rise of spiritual darkness spreading over not just America, but over the whole world. The bible has promised that this would take place in the time of the end, and so we are seeing happen in front of us everywhere we look. On the heels of this open celebration of pagan worship will follow Satanism and sacrifices of blood, animals and humans on the demonic altar. It’s all in the book of Revelation.Take a look at the first Godless Church of America here www.ourlifefaith..com

10 Reasons Why We Must Love Unlovable Church Members I was a young pastor, and I was sure everybody in the church was kind, gracious, and Christian. Everybody would treat everybody else with the love of God. Needless to say, it didn't take me long to learn that even in the church are people who don't quite get there. Some people are really hard to love. At the same time, I couldn't avoid Jesus' telling us to love God and neighbor (Matt. 22:34-40). Nor could I run from New Testaments commands that we love one another (1 Thess. 4:9, 1 Pet. 1:22, 1 John 3:23).I would be lying to say I never struggle now, but I've learned something about loving others. Here are ten reasons why we must love even unlovable church members.1. God loves them. I take these words literally: "For God loved the world in this way. . . ." (John 3:16). He loves the arrogant church member, the person caught in sin, and the follower who denies Him. That's the point: He who loves all of us with an amazing love expects us to love others similarly.2. We show the power of the gospel by loving all people. Jesus said our love for one another would be one way to show the world His love (John 13:34-35). The church is indeed a miracle – people from varied backgrounds and different races, all loving each other as a family brought together by the blood of Jesus. Being family means we must love even those who occasionally drive the family crazy. Read more at. http://ourlifefaith..com/2013/11/10-reasons-why-we-mu

From CBN.com – “Hell is definitely real.Real. Very much real.” Carl Knighton knows what hell is like because he says he went there after he accidentally overdosed on a drug called Valium.“Like the bible says you are in torment,” says Carl. Even though it happened more than twenty years ago Carl was able to draw pictures of what he says he encountered in hell.Carl remembers as he shows drawings, “The one in the middle is trying to get out of the fire but there’s no way they can get out. There’s no hope for them. There’s no way of escape for them.” Carl grew up in a Christian home where he had been taught that heaven and hell were real places. A 17-year-old student and mother of a 2-year-old boy shocked security officers at a Victoria's Secret store in Herald Square, New York City on Thursday when they fingered her for shoplifting sexy lingerie but found the decomposing corpse of a baby boy in her bag too.The girl, according to a CBS New York report was leaving the store on Thursday with a 17-year-old friend when they were both stopped by security guards. One of the guards pointed out a foul smell coming from a bag, according to police and the teen mother identified as Tiona Rodriguez of Crown Heights in Brooklyn, said she had "a baby in the bag." From The Christian Post. A pastor in Angier, Harnett County, N.C., reportedly shot and killed his son-in-law after a dispute Saturday. According to WNCN, Sheriff's deputies initially received a report of domestic disturbance and later another report in which the caller had shot a man at the same address. The victim was identified as Christian Lamar Griggs, 23, of Raleigh and the identity of the shooter was not immediately released. However, members of the Abundant Life Worship Center in Angier said the shooter is the founder of the church, pastor Pat Chisenhall. According to the members, the pastor acted in self-defense after Griggs tried to break into his house and threaten him."He had no other recourse but to do what he did," a church member of 23 years said, according to Wral.com. Church members said Griggs was part of the church family and had recently separated from his wife and moved back home. They also revealed that the Chisenhall family filed for a restraining order against him on Friday. Opinions : Five things to look for in a pastor By Jim Daly .October is Clergy Appreciation Month, a time when Christians are encouraged to express gratitude to their pastors, ministers and leaders. But the subject gives rise to a question:What makes a pastor a leader you can trust and follow and ultimately appreciate, not just every October but the other eleven months of the year?I'm sure we all have our "non-negotiable" characteristics.I've come up with a list of five things (based on Scriptures found in Titus and 1 Timothy 3) that I think Christians may want to look for in a pastor. I feel very blessed to know that the pastors I've had the privilege of sitting under through the years all possessed these qualities. 1. Boldly teaches God's Word. Being a capable public speaker is important, but even more than that, a good pastor is concerned about teaching his congregation solid doctrine. He teaches "all Scripture" – that is, he doesn't skip over the tough or unpopular ve rses in the Bible. His commitment to truth is evident. Read more at www.ourlifefaith..com |
What do you have in your hand? God can use it. It may be small in your hands but in God’s hands, it has potential. A little boy put his two fish and five loaves in Jesus’ hands and it fed five thousand. God can use what you have. He can use your defeats. He can use what is rejected. He can multiply your little. He will make you A THOUSAND TIMES MORE! Read more at www.ourlifefaith..com |
