komekn: One name that baffles me is Osimhen, he has not even been to camp and competed to justify inclusion.
He has played barely two games barely 10 minutes of football all season at a low level Wolfsburg that has just escaped relegation from the Bundesliga. He wasn't considered good enough for his team to start him or even play him over 45 minutes.
This can cause disaffection in the camp as thier is no justification beyond past glories. It has to be a level playing field. Even Isaac Success has better justification for selection than him.
There should be a clear an open modality for selection that is not the case here. It's becoming a curious case, actually. |

DON'T TRUST IGNORANCE
Some people say they believe in God because they don't know, without God, how the universe could exist. Or because they don't know how life could arise from non-life or how intelligence could exist without God.
These are people who admit ignorance leads them to God but these people cannot deny that one day we may find out how these things happened without God. These are people who base their lives on what they don't know instead of what they do know.
Some other people say they believe in God because they don't know, without God, how a sperm and an egg could create a human life or how love or morality could exist. Some even say they don't know how it could rain without God. These people also believe in God through ignorance. But, in this case, they base their lives on what they don't know but should know.
Here is my tip for both groups. Base your life on what you know, not on what you don't know. Don't build everything on a foundation of ignorance. You can't trust ignorance. |

TheSuperNerd: Onyekuru To Earn N15m A Week At Arsenal, Set For Medicals After International Duty
https://owngoalnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/image-63.jpg
Nigerian forward Henry Onyekuru is closing in on a dream move to English Premier League side Arsenal after the Gunners agreed a £6.8m fee for his transfer with Belgium side KAS Eupen.
As first reported by ScoreNigeria, the 19 year old who scored 24 goals for modest Belgium side Eupen will earn a salary of £38,000 (15 million in Nigerian Naira) a week at the Emirates.
Already the gunners have fixed a date for his medical, which will take place after his involvement with the senior national team of Nigeria ends with the game against South Africa on the 10th of June.
Onyekuru made his senior national team debut for Nigeria against Corsica, and he is also in contention to play against Togo in another friendly game tomorrow, where he could line up alongside his teammate to be Alex Iwobi.
Some other issues left to be trashed out in the deal includes several add ons due to Eupen, compensation to Aspire Academy and also bonuses the forward will earn season in, season out throughout the length of what will most likely be a five year deal.

THE MORAL ARGUMENT AGAINST GOD
I can't understand why some people argue that morality is proof that God exists. In fact, morality is evidence that God does NOT exist.
It is easy to see why humans like to have rules of conduct. Rules, such as "do not kill or harm your neighbour", "do not take your neighbour's property" and, even, "help your neighbours when they are in need", make life more tolerable for most people. Communities that adopted such rules may have been better able to survive since they would have wasted less time squabbling among themselves. This would have given them more time and focus to defend the community against existential threats. A form of natural selection would arise that would favour communities with effective rules.
Making and enforcing such rules is as natural as building shelters to provide warmth and protection from predators. No god is required for such things to happen. Furthermore, as children are instructed in these rules, we can see how, over time, the rules would become established as part of the community's shared value system.
We should expect that humans would make mistakes and change their moral rules as they learn, but a perfectly moral god should get everything right first time. This is a useful distinction as it allows us to make predictions and seek evidence: if humans make the rules, we expect to see rules change over time; if God makes the rules, we expect to see no change.
Of course, morality has changed dramatically over the past three thousand years or so. It has changed in every society that we know of, although faster in some and slower in others. Specifically, the world has moved sharply away from Biblical morality. Apart from the fundamental prohibitions against murder, theft and perjury (which long predated the Bible), much of the morality said to be handed down by God in the Bible has been abandoned.
For example, we no longer consider capturing, buying, selling or holding people as slaves is moral. We do not accept that women are the property of men or that it is acceptable for a man to sell his daughter as a concubine. We do not consider it moral to kill people who worship other gods and destroy their towns and their children. Nor do we consider genocide moral and we do not think it is right for a man to kill a son who is rebellious and stubborn. The list of moral laws that we now regard as immoral is long but these few examples illustrate the point.
What conclusions can be drawn from this evidence? I see three possibilities:
1. The abandoned moral laws are right and we are wrong to have abandoned them.
2. God handed down these laws and mistakenly thought they were moral.
3. The Biblical moral laws were created by men who passed them off as God's laws.
Only option (3) makes sense. This does not prove God does not exist but it fundamentally undermines the Bible as a book derived from God and shows, at least parts of the Bible, to be fiction created by men. |

He's gotten more opportunities and has taken his chances. He's been the best teenager in the world this season. Mark this, he would be on the shortlist for the FIFA player of the year. Shows how much he has performed this season.
I believe Kelechi would have continued his progression if Pellegrini had stayed and then it would have provided a more level field to compare him with Mbappe. And even right now, I'm fearful of what might happen to him at West Ham. Pep has stunted his plays. I don't trust Bilic. What's his antecedents in developing young players? |

ONE GOD OR MANY?
Some theists think the existence of the universe is a solid reason to believe a creator god exists. But they get stuck on the next step, which is to show that this creator god is the one they happen to worship. To get around this, they say there is only one god but different cultures use different names to refer to it. So Yahweh, Brahma, Odin and Tlaloc are really the same deity according to this argument.
The briefest investigation shows this argument is wrong. When we look at just these four gods we find such gross differences that they cannot be the same god. For example, some are material and one is immaterial. The gods that are material have very different appearances. Some of these gods are part of a pantheon of many gods and one is the only god. Some have wives and some do not. Some were born and some were not.
Three of these gods are creator gods, but they created the world in very different ways (and all of them wrong).
There are also great differences in what these gods required of men. For example, only Tlaloc required the sacrifice of children in order to make rain from their tears. I have looked at only four gods but there are thousands to chose from and they vary from heavenly bodies to animals, inanimate objects, winds, rivers, mountains, humans and an immaterial, omnipresent entity.
Christians do not even need go to the trouble of learning about these different gods--they just need to read their own scripture. The second commandment says, "Thou shalt have no other gods before me." Why would God have commanded this if all men were really worshiping the one true god?
I accept that theists genuinely believe some of their arguments, but this one is so obviously wrong that I can only see it as dishonest. |

Why Red Hot Onyekuru Failed To Shine, Score For Nigeria Against Corsica
https://owngoalnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/IMG_2987.jpg
The highly anticipated Nigeria senior national team debut for hot in demand KAS Eupen forward Henry Onyekuru happened against Corsica, but didn’t quite provided the spark many expected.
Onyekuru was handed a start by coach Gernot Rohr in the game that ended 1-1, but the forward who lasted the entire duration of the game failed to justify the hype surrounding him after his 24 goals haul for Eupen.
19 year old Onyekuru wasted a clear chance to draw Nigeria level minutes after they went behind, but he fluffed his lines and missed what looked like a certain goal for Nigeria.
After the miss, he thrice gave away possession cheaply and although he improved in the second half, he wasn’t such a goal threat to the opponent as many would have expected form the Arsenal target.
” I think the goal he missed affected his game negatively. He should have scored but stuffs like that happens, but after the incident he wasn’t keen of taking risk anymore and threaded cautiously “, a teammate told Owngoalnigeria.com.
” After the game he confessed to me that the loss (lost chance) affeected his confidence level, and when he went over it he didn’t have any real chance at goal. He also complained of the lack of options in front of him when on the ball”.

spyder880: In these three pictures, I will explain more
The first picture is the excavation, then the column base sunk to planned specification.
The second picture is the first concrete blinding, usually 75mm-150mm depending on what your building plan specifies, the column mat is then placed, and the column starter bar is set, and tied to position.
The third picture is the second blinding after we have set the column starter bar. You can still see some part of the mat. But there will still be another final concrete cast, raising the thickness to the specified gauge on the structural drawings. Excellent explanation.
Please explain what is meant when the specification says that cover to main reinforcement to be 20mm in Slab, 25mm in Beam, 30mm in Column and 50mm in Foundations.
Why the disparity in the elements? |

goldfish80: I think I should bring this to the notice of folks here. This Ebuka Okeke kid is something special. I caught the last 35 mins of this encounter against Gombe, one word to describe what I saw was "WOW". This kid dazzled, teased skipped past people for fun all night long. Before he scored the winner, he left about 3 players on their backside before the goalkeeper foiled his attempt. He basically scored with the last kick of the game, after skipping past 2 people and finishing in the bottom corner. I make bold to say he is the Nigerian version of Mbappe. Anyone opportuned to watch a Rangers game should keep an eye out for the No 9. He is the real deal. ....................................
From Obiagu comes Ebuka, the new hero at Rangers
Rangers left it late to secure victory over troubled Gombe United in Sunday's Match Day 20 encounter in Enugu. It took the brilliant intervention of home boy Ebuka Okeke to score the game's winner after 93 minutes to send the home fans celebrating. Godwin Aguda had replied Waheed Afolabi's shocking opener for the visitors in first half stoppage time but with both teams poised to end another tumultuous clash in stalemate just like in the reverse fixture in Gombe, substitute Okeke who had been lively since he came on for Bobby Clement just before the hour mark received the ball from Omo Johnson down the left flank, beat two of his markers on the run before opening himself up to curl home the winner into the bottom corner. The excitement and celebrations that trailed Okeke's winner among the home fans were in two folds. One was the delight of winning such a difficult game at the death and secondly, the fact that the winner came from a son of the soil, and right in front of the stands where fans from his clan, Obiagu, a crowded low income district in Enugu known to produce football and music stars "I feel great. I am very happy to score and win the match," Okeke told www.npfl.ng The FC Inter of Enugu product made his Rangers debut early this month when he came on as a second half substitute in a rescheduled Match Day 18 game against league leaders Plateau United. He barely had a touch of the ball after coming on in stoppage time for Chidera Eze but on Sunday, he had 30 minutes or more to make an impression and he grabbed the opportunity. "It's a dream come true to play for Rangers. I was happy to make the team against Plateau but I didn't have enough time to show what I can do. "When I had the chance again on Sunday, I just prayed to God to help me and he answered me," stated the nimble footed lad. Okeke made his full Rangers debut in Match Day 19 against Gombe United in Gombe and he acknowledges the intensity of the NPFL but thanked his teammates who he said have made it easy for him to adapt to the elite division. "It's not easy (to play in the NPFL)," he noted. "But my teammates have helped me settle. They have always encouraged me and I truly appreciate them". Victory over Gombe United lifted Rangers to 14th on the log but just two points clear of the relegation zone after twenty round of matches this season. When asked if he is confident the champions will avoid relegation, he retorted: "God forbid! We will not relegate." The consensus among the locals in the Coal City is that a new hero is born. The acceptance they have for this lad from Enugu North Local Government Area is one that can only be accorded to a long sought Messiah. Ebuka Okeke's performance in the remaining 18 league games will go a long way in corroborating their belief or evaporating same. http://npfl.ng/index.php/news-features/club-news/2227-from-obiagu-comes-ebuka-the-new-hero-at-rangers All these plenty story, what's his age? |

spyder880: Meant to test the space of the column base, we have not even started turning the concrete then. There was a 100mm blinding before the mats were placed, and a further 225mm concrete fill for the columns bafore a 300mm level blinding before starting to set blocks.
Keep the questions coming, welcome. Thanks. Really appreciated.
Let me rephrase your explanation in my own words. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
After excavation, there was a 100mm blinding, then the mats were placed. Then a 225mm concrete fill was done before the starter column bar was placed. Then another 300mm was poured to hold the column in position. |
