terzurum5:You are being ridiculous. If Nigeria has the same comprehensive record system as France, no one will question the ages of our boys. |
terzurum5:Stop it! Pogba was born in France and there is a comprehensive public record of births. |
ChrisKels:Let this story be true o. April fool, abi? |
WHAT ARE THE FREAKING ODDS? Christians and Muslims say God loves them so much that he created them to be the center of this enormous universe. Anytime I hear anyone say that, I cannot but chuckle. Let me blow you away: There are more stars in space than there are grains of sand on every beach on Earth. Let that sink in for a moment. Even more remarkably, there may be as much as 5 to 10 times more stars than there are grains of sand on all the world's beaches. It hurts the brain to imagine, right? Well, let me blow you away a second time: If there are already more stars in the universe than there are grains of sand on the beaches, think about how many planets there are. There could be 2x to 10x more planets than stars. To understand this, remember that our sun is a star and it has 9 or 8 (depending on whom you are listening to) planets orbiting it. So you have stars more than the grains of sand, then you definitely have many times more planets than stars. So how can you be the center of the universe? What exactly are the odds? My friend, go and sit down somewhere. |
TRUE STORY #1 Mrs A: 45 years of age, devout Christian, divorced, no children, lives in Accra, Ghana. Mrs A was a successful business person. She had started three businesses and had built herself an impressive four bedroom house with its own compound. Things started to go wrong for her when her marriage failed. At the same time one of her businesses ran into serious trouble and the other two were making no progress. An unpleasant family feud developed over the divorce. Mrs A became convinced that her ex-husband's family had cursed her and that was the source of her troubles. She confided in her pastor who prayed with her but that did not seem to help. Finally her pastor offered to move into her house with his wife and two children. He assured Mrs A that no curses have the power to overcome him. Mrs A readily agreed and felt grateful that her pastor was so caring. Over the following six months, the family feud settled down and Mrs A believed this was due to the pastor's presence. But her business problems were getting worse and her bank began to demand repayment of loans. She pleaded with her pastor to help. He advised her that she was stressed because of the number of people in the house and informed her that God had told him she should take a break and stay with her sister. So she moved in with her sister. Two of her businesses failed. The third survived but never regained its former profitability. That was 15 years ago. Mrs A has just celebrated her 60th birthday. She still lives with her sister. Her pastor still lives in her four-bedroomed house and his children have grown up. He has never paid her any rent. Source: Stories from across Africa by Mr Flavell |
HOW IT HAPPENED, NOT IF IT HAPPENED We have enough evidence now to be sure species were not put on the Earth in a frenzy of creation. We know life slowly changed and diversified over billions of years. Discovering this has been like finding the pieces of a jigsaw puzzle, often faded, broken pieces but when they fit together we see a beautiful and unmistakable picture. Our picture still has more gaps than pieces but even now, there is no doubt that our species evolved from similar but not identical species--the only doubt is exactly how it happened; not whether it happened. |
Then we should not be excited by the result of that match. The Cameroonians didn't eat before the match, that's just terrible. Africa is a country! |
pyrex23:How are they flopping? Did you even watch the match? If you did, you won't list the names you just did. |
WHY I LOVE CREATIONISTS... AND WHY I DON'T The thing I love about creationists is how hyper-sceptical they are. That's brilliant. My motto is don't take anyone's word for anything important. Demand validated evidence for every such claim--your beliefs are too important to waste on things that are not true. It's just a pity, after all that excellent scepticism, creationists let themselves down by believing the most incredible fantasy stories without a shred of evidence. |
Hmmmm...I just finished watching the full game. Na wa o. So so underwhelming. I could not see why there was so much hype. This is not a performance to be excited about. But I can forgive this performance because Mikel and Moses were not there. Defence: - I have no idea what happened to Ekong and Balogun...the manner with which they misplaced passes is staggering. At times, they simply passed the ball to the opponent...a more clinical team would have buried us. We need to have strong backups. - Omeruo was disappointing to me. A pacy winger would have torn him to shreds. And that's to add to the fact that he didn't join in the attack. - Echiejile was impressive. He held his own. He should have gone forward more though. - Akpeyi: We cannot rely on this guy. I cannot remember a single cross he did not spill. All a team needs is station a player close to him to score the rebounds because he is very prone to dropping balls from crosses. I really don't know what the goalkeeper trainers are doing. At this stage, Akpeyi should not be deputizing for Carl. Conclusion:Our defence is a cause for concern. We don't have a good backup to Ikeme. And that's a big problem. Midfield: - Onazi was average before he went off. There was an incident that caught my eye though. He pushed an opponent in retaliation. In a competitive match, some referees will give a straight red card. Professional players should know better. - Ogu played his game. No fuss. No flamboyance. Perhaps the coach told him to just stay and strictly shield, he did a yoleman's job. - Ndidi was rightly the man of the match. He was full of tackling, passes and did play a couple shots that troubled the goal keeper. - Iwobi was a flop. What did he even do right in that game? Oh, maybe the combination with Simon to free Kelechi for the tap in miss. Other than that, he did nothing. He constantly lost his balls and his passes were abysmal. No one would have predicted he plays for Arsenal. - Etebo: He played well. He came in for Iwobi and showed him how to play. Not his best game but we will take this one. Conclusion: We need Mikel. We need Aluko. We need Mikel very much and we miss him so much. No replacement in sight. Forward: - Simon: His strongest point is that he can help out the defence. That's quite a surprise because he should be known more for his dribbles, wingplay and crosses. Those were lacking in the game. - Musa: Musa! I don't think he has a place in this team any longer. You hardly notice he was in the game. The only times he shows up, he is either making wayward crosses or disrupting flow of attack. The only thing that will make him continue this way and still get call ups is federal character. He is no longer a Super Eagles material. - Kelechi: He needs to leave Man City. It's unbelievable the goals he missed. What surprised me about his game was that the penalty called would not have been given by some refs. From my angle, he fell into the hands of the keeper. The Kelechi I know would have played that ball before the goalkeeper came out. It's difficult to understand this point unless you watch that match. He is match rusty and needs to help his career. Even the commentator could not believe he missed those chances. - Kayode: For the time he was on the pitch, he was moving. The chance they said he missed was a handball. It was not such a chance. Wished we played with Burkina Faso, it would have been a great opportunity to watch him play more minutes. He would probably be invited again. - Success: To be honest, I didn't see too much of the hype surrounding his play in this game. He galvanished the attack though and pushed the Senegalese back. I will take him over Musa from this performance. Conclusion: We need a strong competition for Kelechi. If we don't score goals, we cannot win games. |
WHY HAS HUMAN EVOLUTION STOPPED? by Brian-Gabriel Chiedozie Ndubuisi This here is not a just question. It's a sleek combination of 1. a claim that human evolution has stopped, and 2. A question - Why has it stopped, if 1 is true? Claiming that human evolution has stopped is like Arsenal claiming, 5 mins into a game against Barcelona, to have won the game. Has human evolution stopped? The simplest answer is "we don't know", and my best guess is No. Attempting this question is frustrating partly because it's almost always asked in a sarcastic "gotcha" tone by people who didn't expect to get an answer, nor are they interested. It doesn't help that other people seem to have exaggerated expectations of evolution. I'll try to give an answer for those who are interested, that's easy to grasp, especially for those who know the basics. First, definition. Evolution is change in the HERITABLE* characteristics of biological populations over successive generations. [*The word "heritable" is important because if a population of white teenagers go on vacation to Egypt, they'll come back a bit darker than they left. But this here isn't evolution, because their kids wouldn't be able to inherit the tan.] Some scientists believe evolution of humans has stopped. The reason being that humans have managed to overcome natural selection with the help of science & technology. Natural selection is basically survival of the fittest* [*Fit in this sense is used to describe any organism that is best adapted for the environment, not necessarily the strongest.]. Earlier, I had posted a quote by David Frum... ..."Nature wants 5 of your 7 children dead. It wants you dead by 50. Everything better than that is brought to you by science & technology."... ...These figures might seem harsh, but in reality, he was being very conservative. To give you a little context - the life expectancy of people in the developed world today is above 80 years, during the Republican period of Ancient Rome [500-100 BC] it was around 25 - 30 years. So many illnesses were supposed to kill you before you **laid eggs - asphyxia at birth, neonatal jaundice, malaria, assorted viral and bacterial infection epidemics, trauma... In the absence of effective treatments, most of these diseases were a death sentence. This phenomenon of so many getting **laid, yet so few of them surviving long enough to get laid is the main engine that drives evolution, because it ensures that only a few that were fit* to survive the harsh environmental conditions are opportune to get laid and make more kids who, with luck would inherit their badass genes... But with science and technology man is "...bending the immortal mother of gods..." - he's able to save most of his kids from harsh natural forces, so that he doesn't have to give birth to so many, while nature selects only a few to live. Their argument is that man has effectively killed natural human selection, and has in effect halted his evolution. But the flaw in this argument is that natural selection is not the only mechanism that drives evolution. There are other mechanisms - like gene drift, for instance. Unlike with natural selection, where nature picks the fittest gene out of the many **laid, genetic drift is due to new genes coming into a population via migration. For instance when blacks started "migrating" into America, a new type of humans started to appear with darker skin than whites yet with softer, straighter, longer hair than native sub-Saharan Africans... With migration on the rise and the world becoming shrunken by transportation technologies, it's not a stretch to expect that in the not-so-distant future, one wouldn't be able to find one typically Black or Asian or White person, because the whole world would have mixed up way too much. This too is evolution... Also with this CRISPR technology on the way, future humans would be able to choose what traits they want in their kids. They'd be able to decide if they want their kids to be taller, 'cuter', smarter... so it's expected that many traits we see today "would be rigidly destroyed" in that future. This is artificial selection as a driving force for evolution. I understand this might have missed your standards of what evolution should be by a mile. You expected people with wings and other x-Men superhuman powers, but that's not how it works... but who knows... I have learned to remove words like 'never' and 'impossible' from my vocabulary when talking about science. So back to the initial question - Scores: Arsenal 0 - 0 Barcelona Time: 5 mins into first half. Why has arsenal won? |
komekn:Youre a wonderful character. You believe the reports about Iwobi but say those who praise Success in the same match have ulterior motives. Alas, the reports of both players came from the same people. |
Mickael2:There is no easy way to tell Musa that he is not a captain material. Though Mikel was a bench warmer in Chelsea, he was a super regular in the Eagles. Musa is a benchwarmer in Leicester, he is also going to be a benchwarmer in this new-look Eagles. The earlier we accept this the better. There are at least 3 players that can take his place. Even Onazi should watch his back, but at least he's safer than Musa in the Eagles and he is very regular in his club. |

Ayinde Olatunde Olayinka Imagine a war with with you on one side and some toddlers on the other side. That was how serious the war between Yahweh and the bad angels he created was. And the toddlers couldn't even be exterminated. They had to be sent into the vegetable garden to wreak havoc! Again imagine that you're 36 years old. One day your wife announces to you that she is no more in love with you; she is now madly in love with the 2 year old next door. And you begin to throw tantrums, threatening to burn your wife in an everlasting fire. Anyone would have thought that you would roll on the floor and have a good laugh at such hilarious proposition. That is exactly how it is when Yahweh is jealous and angry and throwing tantrums that humans are worshipping other gods. How did we believe these stories for so long? |

Nigeria gets good value for Senegal draw by Calvin Emeka Onwuka 24 March 2017, 09:02 https://allnigeriasoccer.com/football_pics/23900Kelechi.png The Super Eagles and the Teranga Lions of Senegal settled for a 1-1 draw in their prestige friendly at the Hive stadium of Barnet Football Club in North London. This was a bruising encounter in which both teams gave as good as they got physically. The Nigerian coach Geraht Rohr said the choice of Senegal for this friendly was because “they are a strong and very physical side just like Cameroon and so we used this as an opportunity to test ourselves. This was some test. Senegal settled quicker and better in the opening stages of the first half as would be expected of a team who reached the quarter finals of AFCON just 6 weeks ago. They pressed Nigeria and in those opening moments Kenneth Omeruo was caught out a few times. A cross by Moussaka Sow out on the left was glanced against a post by Cheick Ndoye. A few minutes later Mame Biram Diouf of Stoke City clattered into the back of skipper Ogenyi Onazi with his knee. It was a dangerous and needless assault. Onazi lay sprawled on the turf for while before being carried off on a stretcher. The introduction of John Ogu for the stricken Onazi changed the game for Nigeria as the physically imposing Ogu alongside the ever improving Wilfred Ndidi started to get to grips with the physicality of Senegal and Nigeria started to play. Also, Omeruo got a grip on this right back position so the team improved. With the improvement came chances. Kelechi Iheanacho wasted two of the best. First, he was released by an astute pass from Ndidi with only the keeper to beat he dragged his shot wide. And just before half time, quick interchange between Moses Simon and Alex Iwobi had the Arsenal man set up Iheanacho this time inside the 6 yard box he still shot wide. To be fair, Cheick Kouyate made a desperate attempt of a block which probably put him off. Still, a player of his quality should have scored. Senegal started the second half like a house on fire bit Nigeria were still dangerous on the counter attack. Ten minutes into the second half Diouf broke down the right on a counter. The impressive Ndidi blocked his cross for a corner. From the resultant corner the Nigerians failed to clear properly and during the ping ball that ensued the ball fell to Sow inside the box. He coolly controlled and lashed home. A deserved lead and they continued with the territorial advantage thereafter. For the Nigerian defence William Troost-Ekong was immense. He won everything in the air and seemed to relish the physical challenge. The introductions of Isaacs Success and Oghene Etebo for Simon and Iwobi got Nigeria back in the game. The Watford forward especially was a handful. One of his jinking runs ended with him setting up Etebo for left footed effort from the edge of the box that the keeper tipped round the post. Finally the breakthrough came for the Eagles when Senegal lost possession in the middle of the pitch and Etebo sprung Iheanacho quickly. Keeper came out and the striker went over. Penalty. He got up and confidently sent the keeper the wrong way to get his side level. Both sides pressed hard for the winner but the defences held steady until in injury time. Here another sub Kayode Olarenwaju released Iheanacho edge of the area. The Man City striker chose to shoot when Success and Ogu were better placed, screwing his effort well wide. Final score 1-1. Fair result. http://www.supersport.com/football/super-eagles/news/170324/Nigeria_gets_good_value_for_Senegal_draw |
TheSuperNerd:Na wa o. You just went ghost on us. You can see our boys, right? Good times! |
tbaba1234:Reports say he rejected the assistant captain role when Onazi was made today's captain. How true? |
tbaba1234:When he is fit, Success is one of the best players we have. I was scratching my head when he was called a waste some hours back. |
Mickael2:Where you dey watch am? |
OnyeNdiolumbe @CalvinEmeka Iheanacho misses again. Iwobi and Simon release the City striker 4 yards out. Didn't even hit the target. |
Looks as if Kelechi dey miss chances o. TheGoodJoe, what happened to the drilling? Are you sure it's working? |

THE SENSELESS KILLINGS IN LONDON... You heard about the London attack that happened yesterday, right? Four people have died, including a police officer. Twelve Britons were injured, including three police officers, two of whom were seriously injured. Theresa May, said the attacker had been investigated “some years ago” by MI5 in relation to concerns about violent extremism. Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attack. It released a statement through the Amaq news agency, which it uses to broadcast propaganda, calling the attacker “a soldier of Islamic State”. Now, people who have an idea of what happened will go ahead to ask people to pray to God for the jihad victims, and I ask: "To which God - the one who inspired the violence or the one who did nothing to stop it?" When it has to do with religion, people just don't want to think. |
According to Allnigeriasoccer, here is today's lineup Nigeria Starting XI vs Senegal : Goalkeeper (still unknown), Balogun, Troost-Ekong, Omeruo, Echiejile, Onazi, Ndidi, Iheanacho,Musa, Simon, Iwobi. |
Icon4s:That your statement is one kain sha. Does it mean Yoruba coaches cannot coach the Eagles because they will be tribalistic? People are people. Even if you can prove that Onigbinde is tribalistic, he is tribalistic because he is a human, not because he is a Yoruba man, so the reference to his tribe is unwarranted. |
OUR SURREAL SPECIES Honestly, this is completely surreal to me. I speak to superficially sane adults and discover they truly believe there is an invisible and undetectable being who loves us and monitors everything we do and think. And when we die he will restore us to life, and decide whether to torture us forever or grant us a life of eternal bliss. Evidently, the great majority of the humans he loves, will be consigned to the torture option. I wonder how these people found out these extraordinary things. It seems someone TOLD them these fantastic stories, without offering a shred of evidence, and they just BELIEVED. And many people are CERTAIN the stories are true. As far as I know, no other animals believe stories like this. Apparently, you have to be a very smart animal to be capable of believing such stupid stories. |
tbaba1234:Any other Eagles on Snapchat? safarigirl, biko supply interesting handles for me. |
tbaba1234:Chai...Success! No wonder he is always having injuries. Na so so woman song e dey sing. Dancing and singing is also all he does on instagram. Badt edo boy. Bazee is so shy. I'm sure Leon will ease him in. Ebuehi didn't do badly. I'm surprised. I wanted Kayode to sing, I knew he can already dance. Dude loves to dance, even after scoring goals. Onazi is the coordinator. Nice group. The future is bright! |
