BASIC TOOL FOR WOMEN OBJECTIFICATION No matter how much we deny this simple fact, religion is the most basic tool for the objectification of women. I believe many people are familiar with this verse, from the famous ten commandments. "You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife or his male servant or his female servant or his ox or his donkey or anything that belongs to your neighbor." Men wrote this verse and many others, in their own interest, and you see clearly that a wife is a man's property, absent freewill, in the same way his slaves, oxen and donkeys belong to him. You are free to draw your own conclusions, but I hope you get the message. |
thegoodjoehunt3:I have been wondering since yesterday o. Forgiveness that does not believe in any Nigerian coach. He was condemning the local players including Etebo. I was doubly surprised when forgiveness was beating his chest too. I was just laughing. I didn't want to add to the war of words that's why I didn't respond to oasis. It's a convenient position he has taken. We would never have heard from him if Siasia took the woeful squad he paraded during the Suwon tournament and had failed woefully. Anyway, I'm here to enjoy the tournament. |
CAF $60,000 TO PAY SIASIA, OTHERS - NFF BOSS PINNICK https://africanfootball.com/bp_images/2016/08/siasia_pondering_2_1.jpg NFF president Amaju Pinnick has disclosed he has directed that a grant of $60,000 recently received from the Confederation of African Football (CAF) be used to clear the unpaid salaries of Nigeria Olympic team coach Samson Siasia and his assistants. Before the Olympics in Rio, Siasia told the media he has not received his salary for five months. It has also been revealed by AfricanFootball.com that the coach threatened to quit his post after the team’s win over Sweden in Manaus on Monday and had to be begged by his players led by Chelsea star Mikel Obi to rescind this decision. “I have directed the secretariat that the $60,000 we received from CAF be used immediately to pay the U23 team coaches,” Pinnick revealed on a YouTube interview. “Use this money to pay them and we are in the process of paying them.” The NFF boss admitted the federation is “financially challenged”. He said the past NFF administration led by Aminu Maigari left his board with “an obscene amount of debts”. http://africanfootball.com/news/636667/CAF-60000-to-pay-Siasia-others-NFF-boss-Pinnick |
EXCLUSIVE: CHELSEA STAR MIKEL, OTHERS STOP SIASIA FROM QUITTING https://africanfootball.com/bp_images/2016/08/mikelrioaction580.jpg AfricanFootball.com can exclusively reveal that it needed the quick intervention of Chelsea skipper Mikel Obi and other players to stop Samson Siasia from resigning as coach of Nigeria Olympic team. A top source in the team told AfricanFootball.com: “Siasia wanted to quit his post after the win over Sweden, but the players led by Mikel begged him to rescind his decision. “The coach complained that he has been badly treated by the authorities, he has not been paid for five months and his team have not received the necessary support to succeed.” The outspoken Siasia has openly complained about his poor working conditions even before the Rio Olympics. And at the height of the drama when the team were stranded at their training base in Atlanta, Georgia, Siasia shunned the calls of sports minister Solomon Dalung and directly called the Nigerian vice-president Yemi Osinbajo to complain about his team’s plight. Nigeria have already qualified for the last eight of the Rio Olympics and await the runners-up in Group A, which looks likely to be hosts Brazil, for a place in the semi-finals of the Olympics event. They take on Colombia in the final group game on Wednesday in Sao Paulo. http://africanfootball.com/news/636626/EXCLUSIVE-Chelsea-star-Mikel-others-stop-Siasia-from-quitting |
ORGAN DONATION - A WORTHY CAUSE I am teary right now. I have had this commitment to be an organ donor. But after watching this video, my commitment is deepened. For those who don't know what being an organ donor is, I will explain... Organ donation is where a person donates their organs for transplant. There are two types of organ donation: living and deceased. For living, you donate a part of your body to someone who needs it else the person would die. It's important to note that the part of your body you would be donating would not permanently harm you in any way. The most common organ donated is the kidney. Parts of other organs that a living donor can give are liver, lung, and on rare occasions pancreas and intestine. Tissue donations include bone marrow and blood cells. For deceased, instead of having those precious organs buried inside the ground and having them rot away, you can give permission for them to be removed and used. There are several organs and tissue types that can be donated after death. These include, but are not limited to heart, liver, lungs, kidneys, intestine, pancreas, heart valves, bone, skin, and corneas. Donated organs are given to someone who has damaged organs that need to be replaced. An organ transplant may save a person's life or significantly improve their health and quality of life. Between April 1 2013 and March 31 2014, 4,655 organ transplants were carried out in the UK thanks to the generosity of 2,466 donors. But there are always significantly more people waiting for an organ transplant than there are suitable donors. At the time of writing (24 November 2014), 6,856 people were waiting for transplants. As of August 1, 2016, there are 120,004 people waiting for life-saving organ transplants in the US. Of these, 96,645 await kidney transplants. While views of organ donation are positive there is a large gap between the numbers of registered donors compared to those awaiting organ donations on a global level. On May 15, 2016, the Nations newspaper reported the chief of the Lagos University Teaching Hospital as saying that organ donation is rare in Nigeria. This is a laudable cause, guys. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TeVLxcekEsw&feature=youtu.be&app=desktop |
Mikel: Chelsea Teammates Asked Me About Etebo https://owngoalnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/image-36-750x350.jpg Chelsea players were eager to know about Ogenekaro Etebo, after his four goals for Nigeria in their opening game at the Rio 2016 Olympics against Japan, according to captain of the Nigerian side Mikel John Obi. CD Feirense of Portugal forward Etebo, stole the headline in Nigeria’s 5-4 win over Japan scoring four times in the nine goal thriller from just five shots on target, and it has brought the abilities of the former Warri Wolves ace to the world. ” I spoke with some of my teammates and about three of them wanted to know about Etebo, He has done himself a whole lot of good but that is just one game, I strongly believe he can do more” Mikel said in the pre match conference ahead of Nigeria’s clash against Sweden. Nigeria won the game against Sweden 1 nil and is looking to play the last game in the group stage against Columbia on Wednesday to have a perfect record. http://owngoalnigeria.com/2016/08/07/mikel-chelsea-teammates-asked-me-about-etebo/ |
Player Ratings, Nigeria 1-0 Sweden: Top Marks For AS Roma Sadiq Umar https://owngoalnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/image-38-750x350.jpg The Nigeria Under-23s are through to the knock out round of the Rio 2016 Olympics courtesy of a 1-0 win over Sweden thanks to a headed goal from Sadiq Umar. Owngoalnigeria.com rates the player on show for Nigeria. Emmanuel Daniel: Just like the first half, had nothing at all to do between the sticks for Nigeria, didn’t make a single save as Sweden didn’t do anything meaningful in the Nigerian goal area….7/10 Shehu Abdullahi: Joined the attack more in the second half, linked up well with Ezekiel. His ability to defend and attack in equal measures is a plus to the Nigerian team….7/10 Stanley Amuzie: Very good going forward and provided the assist for Umar, provided more of the same in the second half but still remained suspect when he needed to defend….6.5/10 Sincere Seth: Improved on his first half performance with some nice interceptions and coverage for the full backs, appears to be forging an understanding with Ekong in central defence….6/10 William Troost Ekong: Solid showing from the former Dutch youth international, you can’t fault his desire and he stepped it up with a commanding display in the second half ….7/10 Azubuike Okechukwu: Provides the stamina, does the dirty job and happy to play deep, allowing the likes of Mikel and Usman play ahead of him, was his usual self, although had a better second half ….7/10 Mikel Obi: The ease at which he has settled into his childhood role of playing as an attacking midfielder, has once again raised debates about if his move to Chelsea was the right move, came close to scoring twice and put in a very good shift until he was substituted ….7.5/10 Usman Mohammed: Salient achiever in the middle for Nigeria, kept the shape of the team with quick passes to set up attacks, knows when to play it simple or otherwise….7/10 Imoh Ezekiel: Livewire of the Nigerian team in attack, never scared of running at defenders, has pace to burn and also did a good job defensively as well, badly in need of a goal to crown his efforts so far….7.5/10 Ogenekaro Etebo: Had more shots on target than any other player on the pitch, unlucky not to get on the score sheet but as usual made his presence known with some strong energetic runs….6.5/10 Sadiq Umar: Got a rousing applause upon his substitution, a sign of how well he played, his goal won it for Nigeria and deservedly so as it secures progression to the next round…8.5/10 Substitutes: Aminu Umar: Picked up a needless booking from a poorly timed tackle, didn’t play between the lines like the man he replaced Sadiq Umar and for the minutes he was on failed to get on same wavelength with his teammates….4/10 Kingsley Madu: Was brought on to aid Amuzie in defending but did very little defensively and offensively was wasteful when he had the ball….3/10 Ndifreke Udo: Slotted in perfectly at right back for Shehu Abdullahi, didn’t do much in terms of attacking but got the job done….5/10 http://owngoalnigeria.com/2016/08/08/player-ratings-nigeria-1-0-sweden-top-marks-for-as-roma-sadiq-umar-2/ |
NIGERIA'S EAGLETS MOVE TO SOKOTO AHEAD NIGER REMATCH https://owngoalnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/image-28-620x350.jpg Nigeria U17 coach Manu Garba has told AfricanFootball.com his team will set up a training camp in Sokoto a week to an U17 AFCON qualifier second leg match in Niger. READ: Eaglets 1 Junior Mena 0 The Eaglets won the first leg 1-0 in Abuja on Saturday with the return leg in Niamey on August 20. “We will train and acclimatize in Sokoto a week to the match in Niger,” Manu disclosed. The coach also expressed confidence the Eaglets will do the double over their opponents. “We will beat them in Niger by God’s grace,” he said. “We have seen the lapses with these youngsters, who were playing only their first international game. “I assure Nigerians we will be smiling again after the match in Niger because we cannot afford to go out at this stage of the competition.” http://africanfootball.com/news/635891/Nigerias-Eaglets-move-to-Sokoto-ahead-Niger-rematch |
NIGER U17 COACH BOASTS: WE WILL BEAT NIGERIA 3-0 https://owngoalnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/image-28-620x350.jpg Niger U17 coach Soumaila Tiemogo has written off Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets, boasting his team will reverse a 1-0 loss in Abuja by winning 3-0 in the return leg at home to advance to the next round of the tournament. “In Niamey, we beat Nigeria 3-0 insha Allah. We prepared very well for this qualifier. The Nigeria team are not a team,” said the coach. “Once we score the first goal, everything will change.” However, Eaglets coach Manu Garba argued that Niger will be under pressure to win in front of their fans and that could well work against them. “Niger are not a bad team, but they will be the ones under pressure in the return leg,” he said. The Eaglets smashed past their Niger counterparts in 2012 6-0 at home after winning the first leg in Niamey 4-1. At the 2015 U17 AFCON hosted by Niger, Nigeria again triumphed 2-0 with goals by Kelechi Nwakali and Victor Osimhen. http://africanfootball.com/news/635915/Niger-U17-coach-boasts-We-will-beat-Nigeria-3-0 |
AYC 2017 QUALIFIERS: Wasteful Golden Eaglet Labour To 1-0 Win Over Niger Republic https://owngoalnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/image-28-620x350.jpg The Nigeria Under-17 team are presently facing the prospect of missing out on next year Africa Under-17 Championship, after a slim 1-0 win over Niger Republic in the first leg of the second round of qualifiers. Nigeria started on the front foot mounting pressure on the visitors, with top striker Nazifi Yahaya wasting a two good chances to put the Nigerians ahead in the opening ten minutes. Yahaya later turned provider for Oluwatobi Ola in the 15th minute to score what ended up as the only goal of the game, no thanks to the wasteful nature of the Manu Garba lead Eaglets. The reverse tie will be played in a fortnight in Niger with Nigeria having the difficult task of protecting their slim win in the first leg. http://owngoalnigeria.com/2016/08/06/ayc-2017-qualifiers-wasteful-golden-eaglet-labour-to-1-0-win-over-niger-republic/ |
THE JAMBOREE WITH NO EFFECT Another jamboree has ended along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. Let us review the things that have changed since the last one. 1. Nigeria remains corrupt 2. Chibok girls still missing 3. Electricity still poor 4. Unemployment still high 5. Poverty level remains the same 6. Boko haram has announced change of cabinet 7. Niger Delta Avengers are still there 8. The herdsmen are still on rampage 9. Buhari is still doing his "well today, unwell tomorrow" cycle 10. Budget remains padded. 11. Dogara continues to maintain that padding is fine. 12. Saraki still maintains false asset declaration is no big deal 13. EFCC remains effective only on newspaper pages 14. Madmen continue to be governors 15. Ministers continue to wallow in extreme cluelessness. On the positive side - Daddy GO still has his private jets - Tithe money continue to flow in undiminished. See guys, it should be pretty obvious to anyone the following: ![]() 1. Our national problems are as a result of our national choices. Not the work of Satan or evil forces. We laid our bed, we are sleeping on it. When we begin to make sensible choices, we will get meaningful results. 2. The jamborees are just avenues to forget your problems momentarily. The problems remain. Numbers don't lie. 100 testimonies in a country of 180 million is at best silly. It is not a statistical impossibility. 3. Nations don't pray to success, they work hard at it. Only children wait for Santa Claus to bring free gifts in December. Adults would be stupid to do same. 4. Nations that don't do Lagos-Ibadan Expressway jamborees every year have consistently been the best places to live in the world. 5. Do your jamborees, but know that they have absolutely zero benefits in solving national problems. Religions don't run economies, serious people do. |

THE FRAUDULENT TITHING AS TAUGHT BY ADEBOYE Believers can keep fooling themselves that they give willingly when the issue of tithe is being discussed....but in reality, they know you don't. They have been so frightened that they are even unable to admit that they are threatened. Well, I have highlighted some of the threats as preached by their daddy GO. IT IS LEFT TO YOU TO BE WISE. WHY PAY TITHES? Guys, it's important to develop critical thinking skills. The rubbish above is one reason why understanding critical thinking is so important, it protects you from charlatans like Adeboye and thousands more like him who are after your money. |
ONLY IN NIGERIA 1. Manufacturers buy dollars at $1=#400 2. Fuel importers buy dollars at $1=#380 3. Importers of rice and other commodities buy at $1=#400 4. Going Jerusalem and Mecca to pray $1=#197 Now you understand? The scourge of blackman may actually be his lack of understanding of religion as introduced to him by Europeans and Arabs. |
GET OVER YOUR HATRED, DUDE! So about an hour ago we were arguing about human sexuality and my friend stated righteously that - Friend: God hates gays and there's nothing you or anyone can do about it. He will judge them. He is God! Me: Well, he has to get over his hate because I, and millions of people around the world don't have any problem with homosexuals. What a man does in the privacy of his bedroom is not my business. Friend: (Chuckles) So God has to bow to the misguided opinions of you and your fellow gay lovers? Me: Of course he has to get over his hate...the same way he got over his love for slavery. Friend: (confused) What do you mean? Me: He loves slavery... it's written in your holy book. He even gave guidelines on how to go about it. But we abolished it and he got over it. Or is he still fuming up there because we abolished slavery? Is he going to judge us for abolishing what he loves? End of argument. He couldn't come up with any intelligent retort. |
A FRAUD! The more I think about it, the more I realise that Pastor Adeboye is a big big fraud. He says that if people are jobless, they cannot be trusted to take care of their wives, but they can be relied on to pay tithes from any monetary gifts or allowances they receive, towards the upkeep of the RCCG ministers. So whatever happens, it's a win - win for the church. Even kids are asked to pay tithe. I looked up their sunday school manual, kids are taught they will die if they don't pay their tithes. Adults are told to pay tithes no matter their situation. In essence, you might not be good enough for marriage but they will still take your money as tithe and offering. That's so crazy..Isn't it? This man is a fraud! |
safarigirl:Are you just noticing that his Red Beret is covering his brain? The guy is dumb. His boss also has ear problems so he isn't listening. Confused nonentities! |
Player Ratings.. Nigeria 5-4 Japan: Sadiq Umar Dazzles, Four Goals Man Etebo Man Of The Match https://owngoalnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/image-30-750x350.jpg The Nigeria U-23s started their campaign at the Rio 2016 Olympics by edging a 9 goal thriller 5-4, to move to the top of their group despite arriving Rio, few minutes to the game. Owngoalnigeria.com, brings to you ratings based on how the players fared, done by our expert in match analysis. Emmanuel Daniel: Made some decent saves but conceded four times, although can be excused for at least two of the goals including the penalty, Still not a good thing for a goalkepper to pick the ball out of his net four times….5/10 Seth Muenfuh: A full back playing as a central defender and as expected looked lost in the role, came up strong in the second half but still lacked the discipline of a centre back….5.5/10 Shehu Abdullahi: Won more tackles than any defender in green for Nigeria but still wasn’t adventurous enough, was also caught out of position couple of times in the game with one of such occasion leading to a goal for the Japanese….5/10 Stanley Amuzie: Struggled to cope with the pace of the Japanese on the right, gave away the penalty from which Japan leveled scores to 1-1, a very poor showing from the highly rated left back….4/10 William Troost Ekong: Failed to control the backline despite been the only central defender in the defender, twice lost his man which lead to goals for the Japanese, shoulld have done better….5/10 John Obi Mikel: Captain of the team, came close to scoring with a left foot effort, kept it simple with neat touches, tired out before the end of the game, obviously struggled from jet lag, no thanks to their late arrival….5.5/10 Azubuike Okechukwu: Full of Energy and quick to turn defence into attack, put in a tireless shift all night long, unlucky not to be on the score sheet….6.5/10 Usman Mohammed: By his standard had an average showing, the former FC Taraba man didn’t do enough defensive job and was guilty of venturing far into the opponent box, which gave Japan enough space to exploit….5.5/10 Imoh Ezekiel: What a performance, strong, good on the ball and can also hit it very well when presented with a chance, his spilled effort was tapped in by Sadiq Umar for Nigeria’s first…..6.5/10 Ogenekaro Etebo: Four goals, which include a penalty says it all, truly a delight on the night, by far the best player on the pitch for both sides, should get a 10/10 but for greed sake, we keeping one for ourselves….9/10 Sadiq Umar: “New Kanu” , although he loves it when he is called “Jololo” , scored and created two goals, hold up play about the best Nigeria has seen in a player in a while, the AS Roma start is surely a star in the making….8/10 Substitutes: Kingsley Madu: First substitute introduced for Usman Mohammed to help shore up the Nigeria backline with scores at 5-3, but was no where close when Japan got their fourth goal of the game….4/10 Ndifreke Udoh: Replaced Ezekiel but didn’t do enough to justify his inclusion, although he did some defending for the team….4/10 Sadiq Popoola: Came in for Mikel Obi and the petit midfielder who provokes comparism with French midfielder Mathieu Valuebuena, helped in keeping possession for Nigeria with some neat and deft touches….5/10 http://owngoalnigeria.com/2016/08/05/player-ratings-nigeria-5-4-japan-sadiq-umar-dazzles-four-goals-man-etebo-man-of-the-match/ |
