Jman06: All the regions have resources they can harness. Apart from Agriculture, the north west has gold and other precious metals buried in their soils that can be harnessed for wealth creation. Same thing with north east and north central then the question is why are they not harnessing it? I tell you it will be hard before any government will take this issue of restructuring very serious because all the regions/states depend on the money gotten from crude oil. Not minding that majority of oil wells in Nigeria are owned by northerners. If the north are really serious, their state government would have started exploring other source of income aside the over dependence on crude oil. It's the same reason why ostracising religion from politics will not succeed because like crude oil, it has been sown into the very fabric of our existence. |

Jman06: Nigeria should be restructured such that each of the six geopolitical zones would have autonomy. Each of the regions would manage their natural resources and internal security, health, education, industry etc The regions would pay taxes to the central government whose job would be to maintain our territorial integrity, foreign relation and also internal security in the event of crisis in any of the regions. not so different from federalism. But this can also be achieved using our current state structure, don't you think so? Using the regional structure can be very tasking because some area (s) in those region don't really have anything concrete to offer. Like what can the North West geo-political zone contribute? |

Jman06: US has 50 states with near homogeneity in culture, language and socialization generally. There's also a separation of religion from state affairs. Same cannot be said of Nigeria with the high level of tribal and religious bigotry we have here!
The truth is that if Nigeria is not restructured along regional lines, then nothing positive will come out the present lopsided system we currently have. Not even in 300yrs time!!! can I please ask you to elucidate on the bolded. |

Ishilove: I wanted to dislike the movie too, especially when I saw the choppy editing and odd camera angles, but then I remembered that this is a Scorcese movie. I also began paying attention to the soundtrack and wack sound effects (it seemed familiar at first), and then I realized "hey, this is like those thrillers of old!" EVERYTHING you see in that movie is deliberate to resemble old Hitchcock classics which makes it seem like a low budget production, which it isn't.
The dialogue in itself are full of insight into the human nature. All what you said is true, but if De Niro had been a supernatural entity, may be then I would have loved or may be liked it, but not when he's fvcking human with a massive ego and revenge agenda. The only person who thrilled me was Juliette Lewis, I mean for an 18 year old then, she sure did play the part of an adventurous 15 year old superbly. To think she's the one in Tarantino's Dusk Till Dawn wowed me the more. |

Ishilove: Cape Fear-
Powerful movie. Absolutely brilliant.
These lines gave me goosebumps:
"I am like God, and God like me. I am as Large as God, He is as small as I. He cannot above me, nor I beneath him, be."
The dialogue is deep, the theme thought provoking.
*shiver*
8.5/10 I find the movie annoying and a total waste of my time. |
