Your statement is like saying a lion underestimated the hunger of a cheetah for meat
whereas the lion itself is a voracious meat eater who often watch cheetah chase and kill
and even steal meat from cheetahs.

The lion is either extremely dumb for holding such opinion or the statement is meaningless.

I am not sure if you think Tinubu and the past leaders happened to be the least
intelligent Nigerians ever.
Can a lion become a cheetah? This is how flawed your analysis is.

Hello smiley So today I am going to tell you how I prepared This chicken I bought.
Yesterday, me and my little brother was at home and he mentioned about eating a chicken.
Going to an eatry would cost a lot so we went and bought a live chicken instead.
When I got to where they sell chicken, I saw alot of them "squacking" and "Buck-buck-buck" grin
My eyes caught this particular chicken and I priced it from 18k to 14k. It had a huge chest and was super healthy.
I paid for it and we carried it home.
Chicken 14k
Pepper 2000
Toamato 500
Seasonings 300
Curry and thyme 500
Salt to taste smiley

I poured hot water to defeather the chicken.
We picked the feathers off and roll the chicken on slight gas to further remove the little feathers left.
It was bigger than my Chopping board. So I put it here to dissect cheesy
you don't use maggi to cook?

You must really like eating pepper oh. I can't spend that amount of pepper alone, never.

malali:
In a move that is nothing short of revolutionary, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the distinguished architect of modern Lagos and current commander-in-chief of Nigerian politics, has unveiled his masterstroke to solve all of Nigeria’s most pressing issues. No, it’s not a complex economic reform, nor is it a technological breakthrough. It’s rice. Yes, you heard that right. The humble grain that adorns every Nigerian party plate is now the golden key to unlocking Nigeria’s prosperous future.

Insecurity? Rice Will Save the Day!

First on the list is insecurity, a thorn in the side of our great nation. Why bother with expensive defense contracts, military strategies, or peace negotiations? Asiwaju’s solution is far more ingenious. Imagine Boko Haram insurgents and bandits laying down their arms, not because of any fear of retaliation, but because of the irresistible lure of a steaming bowl of jollof rice. “They will abandon their nefarious ways and embrace the warmth of rice diplomacy,” a Tinubu aide reportedly stated, with a seriousness that can only be matched by a plate of smoky, party jollof.

Unemployment? Just Add Rice!

Unemployment, another persistent problem, is about to meet its match. Forget vocational training or job creation schemes. Asiwaju’s rice distribution plan will turn every unemployed youth into an instant entrepreneur. With just a few bags of rice, young Nigerians can set up “rice kiosks” on every street corner. “Who needs skills when you have rice?” is the new mantra. And let’s not forget the ancillary jobs created in the rice distribution chain: the bag carriers, the vendors, and, of course, the eaters.

Healthcare? The Rice Prescription

Nigerians have long suffered from a lack of medical facilities, but that’s no longer a problem in Tinubu’s Nigeria. Hospitals? Clinics? Who needs them when you have rice? Asiwaju’s health policy will see patients being prescribed two cups of rice a day. “A bowl of rice in the morning, and your malaria is gone by evening,” proclaimed an optimistic government health official. And for those suffering from more severe ailments? Not to worry, just up the dosage.

Minimum Wage? Paid in Rice!

The debate over Nigeria’s minimum wage has been contentious, but Tinubu has the perfect solution: pay the minimum wage in rice. “Naira is overrated,” said a spokesperson. “With the fluctuating currency, rice is the only stable measure of wealth. Why demand a pay rise when you can demand a rice rise?”

Inflation? Rice Stabilizes Everything

As the cost of living continues to spiral, Nigerians have been crying out for relief. Enter Tinubu, with his economic theory that rice, being a staple, can stabilize everything. The new financial policy? Peg the value of the naira to a cup of rice. Economists are scratching their heads, but Tinubu’s team insists that when rice prices stabilize, so will the economy. Forget petrol; rice is the new black gold.

Power Outages? The Energy of Rice

NEPA (now euphemistically called “Never Expect Power Always”) has been the bane of every Nigerian’s existence. But what if the solution was as simple as a bag of rice? Asiwaju envisions a future where rice is used not just for consumption but as an energy source. “Rice-powered generators will light up every home,” a policy document declares. It’s unclear exactly how this will work, but if anyone can make it happen, it’s Tinubu.

Traffic Congestion? Rice Lanes to the Rescue

Lagos traffic, a nightmare of biblical proportions, is another problem that rice can apparently solve. The new plan? “Rice lanes” on major highways, where cars powered by rice-based biofuel will glide smoothly to their destinations. And for those who can’t afford biofuel, never fear: you can always barter your way through with a few cups of rice.

Education? Learning Through Rice

The education sector has not been left out. Asiwaju’s vision for Nigerian schools is a curriculum centered around rice studies. Students will learn mathematics by counting grains, geography by studying rice-growing regions, and history by tracing the origins of rice in West Africa. It’s a holistic approach to education that could only come from the fertile mind of Nigeria’s political sage.

The Rice Revolution

In all seriousness—or as much seriousness as this proposal deserves—Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s rice-based solutions are nothing short of groundbreaking. They promise to tackle everything from insecurity to traffic congestion, unemployment to education, all with a simple grain that has nourished generations. Of course, the details are a bit murky, and the logistics a tad ambitious, but when has that ever stopped a Nigerian politician?

So, as the nation waits with bated breath, we can only hope that Tinubu’s rice revolution will be the panacea Nigeria needs. After all, in a country where the absurd often masquerades as reality, who’s to say rice isn’t the answer to all our problems?
Lol. This is actually funny because, Tinubu, like his predecessors, underestimate the greed of Nigerians. This greed is the very reason, why this country will take a long time, before it becomes what we truly dream of.

On second thought, this is suppose to be a joke right?

"Inshallah a boy" (2023)

One Sharia Law for men....A totally different one for women......

This compelling flick totally mirrors, an average Asghar Farhadi's feature....high octane Arabian family drama and you'd be forgiven if you thought this was one of his films, because of how good this was...

Amjad Al Rasheed's debut directorial film delves into sociatal pressures and gender expectations of a muslim woman in patriarchal society vested on the fringes of the Sharia law, where the birth of a male child is seen as a measure of a women's worth.

The film centers on Nawal, a widow whose life takes a drastic turn after the sudden death of her husband. The plot intensifies when Nawal realizes that without a male heir, her late husband's family has the legal right to claim her home, leaving her and her daughter homeless.

The story unravels as Nawal grapples with the harsh realities of a legal system and culture that place the burden of producing a male child on her shoulders. The film is marked by outstanding performances, particularly from the lead actress, who brings a deep emotional resonance to her role.

The cinematography is beautifully crafted, capturing the stark contrasts between the intimate spaces of Nawal’s home and the imposing legal and societal structures that threaten her. The use of light and shadow, along with the film's pacing, creates a tense atmosphere that keeps viewers engaged.

"Inshallah a Boy" does more than just tell a story; it opens up a conversation about gender inequality, inheritance laws, and the often overlooked struggles of women in the Arab world. It’s a film that resonates on many levels, offering both a critical lens on societal norms and a moving portrayal of a woman’s fight for her rights and dignity especially in a religion that seemly embodies men to stifle women's right, as they blindly believe that's how a woman should be and that's how she remains "pure".

The title isn't by chance or to serve as a satire, it captures the entire mood of the film...."Inshallah a boy"...... literally translates to "By God's grace, A boy"....a plea by the main character to God for a boy.....A boy that makes her a "Woman"....

Top tier film

8/10.

1st of all. Yes it doesn’t take too much to be a good wife. I agree with that part.

But as far as women marrying to escape poverty, many men have said they don’t want a woman who has a flourishing career. They want a woman who’s available whenever needed to tend to his needs and the kids. They’ve made it clear her primary responsibility is to make sure his and the kids needs are met.

A lot of your women have internalized these values and as such positioned themselves to aim for nothing more than a minor financial contributor rather than a financial equal in the relationship. Now why should a woman who’s agreed to these roles be okay with marrying a poor man? That means she’s resigned herself to a life of poverty. Is that what you’re truly asking them to do? To be okay with poverty, strife and want?
Actually no. The snag here is not women marrying with little or no financial contribution, but to want to manipulate and take control of the man and all his affairs. Simply put, they want to be in charge, they want to sit idle, let the man sweat and work his ass off, then, they will him how and what to spend his money on, which family member he should help, who he admits into their house/home etc. This is what I'm saying.
You made the rules of what marriage are. What the roles are supposed to be and who’s supposed to do what. Don’t judge the women for conforming to the rules you made.
I'm not judging them for conforming to these rules, I'm judging them because of he ulterior motive many of them have. Women with this mentality of entitlement.
This is not a case of women being bad wives because they want to marry up. It’s a case of women doing what they’ve been told they’re supposed to do.
many still don't do what they're told to do, especially when they make demands and their husbands refuse to meet them, because he sees it as not necessary, then such women, will start showing their true color.
The problem is that financial realities on ground do not support these traditional values as much and most people have refused to adapt to their new realities. The men are crying about women not marrying them if they don’t have money but ask him what a man’s responsibility in the home is and they’ll quickly tell you he’s supposed to provide. How? They have to pick a side.
being able to provide doesn't equate to one not having money. Providing basic need for a family is a man's responsibility. The thing today is, many women aren't just comfortable with a man providing the basic needs, they want all: a big house, big car, maids, have the man build her family a house, send her brothers abroad etc. While they in turn do nothing but enjoy the man's money with impunity.
Now more women than ever are equal financial partners with their husbands even if that’s not what they would’ve wanted. Yet the men have refused to budge on their views of marriage roles. Hence the constant clashes.
women who are financial equals to their husbands tend to be rude and disrespectful. This is the reason for constant clash.
So I think what you’re saying is different from what I’m pointing out. A woman marrying a man because he can provide doesn’t mean she won’t mind killing him for his property and money. That’s such a huge reach. Regardless of the negativity on the internet about marriage, I believe most people at least marry someone they like. Killing them to get money that you’ll end up spending alone and in a house with no one to talk to is such an extreme solution I don’t think it’s at all as common as people imagine it is.
marrying someone they like is farfetched, remember they marry a man because they see him as a means to an end, so, getting rid of him and dating one small boy who will always bend to their will and fvck them shitless is what they're after.

But it doesn’t take too much to be a good husband. I don’t know why our Nigerian men would rather scheme and play games than just follow the easy path.

Be a husband your wife can’t imagine living without. Do to her as you want her to do to you and you won’t be afraid of such things.

I can proudly beat my chest and say the way my husband is to me now, no amount of money will make me give him up. The money won’t even be fun to spend without him. The point of money is to enjoy it with people who you know got you in all kinds of situations. Otherwise it’s pointless. What am I doing with a big mansion if there’s no one I love to share it with?

So if a woman would rather pick property and money over the man, it means he’s worth less than money to her. There’s something definitely wrong in that arrangement.
Neither does it take too much to be a loving and caring wife. You see, in Nigeria today, many women see and use marriage as a means to escape poverty and all manner of misery. The very reason you hear many women say openly "they can never marry a poor man". Now, with such a mindset, it is only prudent to agree that such women, won't even mind plotting the murder of their husband, if they know they can't manipulate or even control him.

So you see, a man can hardly be a loving and caring husband to a wife, who married him for the sole purpose of his poverty and money, no matter how loving and caring he is, he will always be an obstacle.

So, using your marriage as a yardstick isn't the main purpose here, for the fact that lawyer came out openly to say this, it shows the perverse thinking of some women in Nigeria.

If you follow me here or read my blog, you should already know the way forward.

From time immemorial, the three things that have always been used to control people by imperial powers are: language, education, religion. Like the immune system protects the body against catching a disease, those three things I mentioned are like the immune system that protects a culture against an intruder.

Whether it was Babylon, Asyria, Greece, Rome, Arabs, etc. Whenever and wherever a people were conquered, the conqueror always made it a point of duty to change the language, education, religion of the conquered natives.

Why?

Because militarily conquering people isn't enough to control them. It would require vast amount of resources- military men and women, military barracks, concentration camps, e.t.c in order to be physically around to control the natives.

But if you can give them a new language, education, religion, the culture of the natives would lose its immune system. Anything can then go in!!. So, the natives will over time adapt to the new language, education, and religion as if it's theirs without realizing that their psychology has changed in the process and that they're now in support of the conqueror. It won't matter how smart you're as a native but you'll be working to maintain the conqueror in power to rule over yourself!!

This appears clearly in literature. Our best known authors don't have any book in their name in our native language. They have written their works in the language of the conqueror without realizing that they're on one hand helping to maintain the conqueror in power and at war against African languages.

We have adopted an alien perception of reality to our detriment. That's why we suffer and everything you see is the aggregate of our collective stupidity.

Once we discard the language, education, religion given us by white people and Arabs, our psychology will change, our eyes will open and we'll become alive. We will begin to question everything and will break free FOREVER. In fact, we will rule the world.

That's, for instance, why they won't allow the Dangote refinery to come to fruition. Such self capacity to create our own thing, threatens them.

This is just a summary.
succinctly put. I have long suspected the western powers influence over the operational capacity of our local refineries. I bet this is why they never work and also the full function of Ajaokuta Steel Works.

This is indeed scary.
