shortgun: This is what happens when a man neglects to assert authority and instill some fear in his woman. Any relationship where the woman knows there will be no consequences for whatever she does, the man and that union is domed for life.
Couldn't have said it better.
The woman acted out of extreme ignorance. Same can be said with many Nigerians who act and believe there are no consequence for their actions, and even if there is any, they can beg or pay their way out of it.
Gistmedia10: "I Will Forever Submit To You": Young Bride Sparks Online Buzz with Vow to Honor and Respect Her Husband
A young bride has set the internet abuzz after publicly vowing to forever submit to her groom during their wedding ceremony. In a heartfelt moment that took many by surprise, she promised to honor and respect her husband as the head of their home, sparking widespread reactions online.
In a world where feminist ideals and modern views on marriage often dominate, the bride’s traditional stance on submission has been both praised and critiqued. While many applauded her for embracing what they see as the values of a strong marriage, others expressed skepticism, questioning whether her vows were genuine or merely a reflection of the excitement of a new marriage.
Regardless of the differing opinions, the bride's vows have certainly captured the attention of many, making her wedding day a trending topic on social media.
Do you think she will stick to her vows, or is it just a normal wedding stunt?
Glimpsetv: A video of students from the University Preparatory Secondary School (UPSS), a popular private secondary school in Benin City, has caused a stir online. The video shows the students arriving at their prom in expensive cars and lavish attire.
These students made a grand entrance, arriving at their school like kings and queens, which has sparked mixed reactions online. While some people admired their display, others criticized it, arguing that such extravagance is inappropriate for students of their age and unnecessary for a simple prom.
However, one person on X, formerly known as Twitter, pointed out that UPSS is one of the most expensive private secondary schools in Edo State, Benin City. Given this, they noted that the parents of these students are likely very wealthy and can afford such a lavish lifestyle for their children.
Please watch the video and share your thoughts in the comments.
abduleez1: Lol... It's not a power up bro. She just sees visions. Which power explanation you need again for that one. 😂😂😅
A few Targaryens end up being seers asides from being predisposed to be Dragonriders. Aegon I The Conqueror was a seer too. He saw the Night King and the coming of darkness. Viserys I also had this gift, that's where he told Rhaenyra of his dreams — Song of Ice and Fire.
Their ancestor, Daenys (I think) foresaw the destruction of Old Valyria and told her father Aenar which led to the whole family packing their belongings and sold property to leave Valyria and move to Dragonstone in Westeros. Some years later, Valyria was destroyed by the apocalyptic event along with the dragons in it. Which effectively left the Targaryens as the only dragonlords left, along with the Velaryons as the only surviving Valyrian families.
Targaryens weren't even that important in Valyria itself and they were a smaller and low influential family with fewer dragons than the rest.
her visions is very strong, guy, very strong, potent and accurate. You can't compare the power of Aegon the 1st and the rest Targaryen to that of Helaena.
abduleez1: I really don't understand you people in this thread again oo. Y'all are making me feel crazy cos e no be like na same show we dey watch.
Helaena seeing visions was as plain as day for me since S1. • She forsaw Aemond losing his eye as punishment for acquiring Vhagar and told him • She saw Rhaenys using her dragon to break free during the coronation. This are S1 I can remember off the top of my head.
• She knew her son was going to be killed by Blood and cheese this season. • Told Aemond his fate.
So I don't understand how are these not obvious to a viewer. Only those two feats in season 1 is enough to make you believe she is a seer, knowing about two big events before it happened.
E just be like everybody dey choose wetin dem wan see and believe. No wahala sha. Everybody go dey alright.
Cc Joseph pu7pl3
no one is doubting she is a seer. What we are criticizing is not knowing how she got her power of vision, to me, that's very poor character development.
A look a Bran's own story will tell you not only how he got his powers, also how he was trained to use it and his journey to getting it. That's very good character development. Same can not be said for Halaena.
It's good Akpakomisa didn't attend that debate. Like What tha hell. Organizing a debate in Lagos, when election will hold in Edo. How foolish can the organizers be?
It's pretty obvious the event was organize to promote the candidacy of Asue Ighodalo.
Verydarkman should also report this prophet to the EFCC. If he's selling miracle water and soap that doesn't work, then he can be said to be defrauding Nigerians. Lol.
I'll even want to ask Sowore, what did this protest achieve? Because if this protest didn't achieve anything, then I see no reason why any others protest will also achieve anything. It's that simple.
Ishilove: Nigerians are funny sha. We cuss one another out on social media daily, but once outsiders ridicule us, we unite to drag their papa. It's like saying the only people who have the right to drag Nigeria is Nigerians.
Reminds me of a relative who disrespects his parents and is a terror to his siblings, but the day any outsider dare disrespects his family members, he breaks bottle and scatters everywhere. He was essentially saying the only person who can disrespect his folks is him. One day, he was in a middle of a street fight (as usual) when one of the thugs attacked him with a knife. His elder brother who hasn't spoken to him in years because the young man is such a nasty fellow, happened to be passing by when the attacker rushed Lil Cuz. Big Bro, without even blinking screamed "NO!!" and rushed the attacker with bone breaking blows, and was able to wrestle the gleaming, wickedly sharp knife away from him. After the fight, the two brothers went back to ignoring each other.
That's blood speaking with a voice that is impossible to ignore. It is a primal instinct. Even when we are outside Nigeria and you happen to come upon a Nigerian in trouble with natives, our first instinct will be to help them, before the more prudent among us suppresses the urge and looks away. The braver ones try to mediate, or flat out tear shirt and join in the fray in defence of their compatriots.
It is an atavistic reaction that cannot be easily explained, and totally unexpected until it kicks in.
I believe it's a sense of responsibility, that is either associated with blood or bond. I've seen this happen even with friends...
EreluRoz: Adam was manipulated, so his descendants can't escape the grip of manipulation. It'll surely come and it'll be subtle.
Well that's Adam. Every human being on Earth can be manipulated, it only takes trust for someone to manipulate another. Even you, can be manipulated also. Lol
abduleez1: Lol, she knew about her son being murd€red. She said it already in the episode about the rats. She knew what would happen and still felt the shock of having to relive that moment when it happened.
Lmfao... Bran definitely fvvking can't see EVERYTHING. He's ONLY limited to what the weirwood trees/roots knows. Outside of Westeros Baba no Sabi shït.
Person wey even her family know say she no normal. Na small thing for remain make dem no tie her in chains and put her in psych ward. If Helaena opens her mouth and tell everyone exactly what she sees as she sees it, even her father Viserys the king would lock her up. No cap!! Even if dem love am, dem go lock her up not to embarrass the family. That's why she talks in riddles and everyone who takes her seriously tries to solve it to get what she's saying.
If you look closely they look at her as a m@d fellow with judging eyes. Aegon no even send her message. They're only just doing her the honours cos she's royalty and they must protect their family name. Na now wey war dey sef dem no too dey reason her talks. They all knows she sees things but it's up to them to believe what her or acknowledge her "visions".
Well, this explains why he never had any vision of Daenyris when she was in Essos.
So, what gives her, her power of vision. Atleast, we know how Bran developed his, what about Helaena. This is why I believe her character wasn't really developed. Truly, I thought she was just talking gibberish, as a result of having to fvck her brother, birth his babies and still have her mother in law, as her mother, until episode 8 in season 2, when she told Aemond she saw what he did.
The writers didn't really give her due notice, so, I feel her character is loosely developed.
abduleez1: She's been that way for a long time since day one. Even since season 1. Bran wasn't. He grew into the character. She's been that way and people thought her m@d. Now, they're slowly realising she sees things.
even at that, Aegon still wifed, fvcked and have her birth babies, which she readily pointed out her son, who was beheaded.
So, you're saying she knew she would point out her son to be killed and her and Alicent attacked by common folks?
Bro, she can't be compared to Bran Stark in anyway.
EreluRoz: I almost did but Martinez ran to him and was crying like a little boy and Seunn just warned them to stop hating on women. Edit the seunnn so he won't see it kos I intend to do it again
I'm not editing it because I don't believe Seun can be manipulated, and there's no need to get him to close the thread, you can always report them when you feel they're hating on women. 😆
voicemail956: VeryDarkMan has taken Pastor Jeremiah's healing products to NAFDAC office to file a petition.
verydarkblackman Now all eyes on @nafdac_ng let's see if they are truly doing their jobs to protect citizens from unregistered products that might be h@rmful to Nigerians or maybe it is by connection
EreluRoz: Me and then have been inside the same trouser for years now, we no wan gree for ourselves. I tried manipulating seunn into closing this thread but monk Martinez went to plead with him when I was almost succeeding but it'll only take time I'll eventually win. They dealt with me very well when I newly joined nairaland back then. So I'll always be on their neck
so this is more like a case of revenge? Beside, I don't see how you can ever manipulate Seun into closing this thread, or any thread for that matter. Lol
SaidaBoj3: Do you still remember this Stainless cup?
It used to be a very special cup those days, exclusively reserved for the Head of the House. You don't dare use it anyhow. Only papa, mama and special guests were allowed to use it. If plates dirty and u wan wash them, u must first wash this cup and seperate it from other cups. Don't play!
EreluRoz: I ended the ashawobearparlour thread because I placed a curse on the thread when they attacked me for preaching the word of God to them back then. It eventually came to pass.
I chased him and others away from here, you are underating me hmmm
Lol. I wonder why you didn't go to a brothel to preach the word of God there, and maybe, place a curse there, let's see what will happen.
I'm not underrating you, I just find you amusing, that's all.
oyaskii: Bro didn't want to bump uglies with his own gender and he dipped and now people are unemployed 😭😩😅.
On a serious note, casting crew should know that despite actors been able to bend and navigate through a number of roles, roles that would involve sexual orientation different from the one they are irl would always be sensitive to some actors/actress and it's best to just cast straight characters to straight actors and non-straight characters to non-straight actors/actress to avoid all these drama. At least both side of the divide have enough good actors currently for this to happen
this, they will never bother to listen to, instead, they will want to make people bend to their sexual orientation.
EreluRoz: lol I'm the matron of this thread. I come here anyhow I like to remind them how they are wasting their time doing redpill. I've successfully chased emmaodett , ubunja, crackhaus and others away. It's remaining that ashawo monk Martinez and ugly Luminouz, I will not rest till I see the end of this thread just the way I ended their Ashawobearparlour thread.
Lol. Take it easy. You didn't end the ashawo beer parlor thread, trolls did, except you're admitting you're the troll behind those account that contributed to the end of that thread.
Beside, I don't believe crackhaus is a redpiller. Neither do I believe you chased him away from here. Lol
