Member representing Pankshin/Kanke/Kanam Federal Constituency, Rep. Yusuf Gagdi, has embarked on a thank-you tour across the constituency following his victory in the All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries. Gagdi, who emerged victorious in the exercise held last week Saturday, described the primaries as peaceful and commended party faithful across the 36 wards for their massive participation and orderly conduct. Speaking during the tour, the lawmaker expressed gratitude to God and appreciated party members for their support, confidence and show of love. “I sincerely thank the APC family across the 36 wards that make up Pankshin/Kanke/Kanam Federal Constituency for their overwhelming support and peaceful conduct,” he said. The lawmaker noted that the visit was in line with his tradition of appreciating constituents after every electoral victory. “This is not my first election. I have contested several elections, won most of them, and I consider it important to always return to the people to say thank you,” he added. Gagdi, however, said he would remain focused and selective in responding to issues, particularly criticisms and allegations circulating on social media. “I have heard a lot, especially on social media, but I have chosen to allow the process and the people’s actions to speak. I do not respond to propaganda with propaganda,” he stated. He said his acceptance across the constituency was evident in the conduct of the primaries, noting that he remains accessible to the people. “I am a grassroots politician, I can walk freely in my constituency, interact with the people and share in their daily experiences. That shows the level of acceptability,” he said. The lawmaker called on both supporters and opponents within the party to unite in the interest of the constituency, stressing that politics should not be driven by personal differences. “Politics is about inclusion. I call on everyone, including those who did not support me, to join hands with us to move the constituency forward. " The constituency belongs to all of us,” he said. Gagdi also expressed readiness to face any political opposition in the 2027 general elections, following the conclusion of the APC primaries. “We are prepared to face any political party. The people have spoken, and we are confident going forward,” he added. On reconciliation, the lawmaker said efforts were ongoing to bring all party members together, noting that while some differences may persist, unity remains the goal. “There are those who opposed us based on principle, and we can work with them. But those driven by personal grievances may take time. However, our focus is to unite the party,” he said. Meanwhile, the Emir of Kanam, Alhaji Muhammadu Muazu Muhammadu II in his remarks, offered prayers and called for continued peace and unity in the constituency. The monarch emphasised the importance of collective effort in building a stronger and more prosperous society.

Ahead of the commencement of the primaries of the All Progressives Congress, APC, with Saturday's House of Representatives primary elections, the North-Central APC Forum has raised the alarm that the exercise has been commercialised by party officials. The APC House of Representatives primaries was initially fixed for Friday, May 15, 2026. But the party's National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, in a statement late on Thursday, May 14, 2026, announced that the exercise has been moved to Saturday, May 16, 2026. No reason was given for the shift in date. However, in a statement by its Chairman, Alhaji Saleh Zazzaga, on Friday, the North-Central APC Forum said the postponement was a direct consequence of the monetization of the process. Noting that President Bola Tinubu had called for free and fair primaries devoid of rancour and violence, the North-Central APC Forum condemned the alleged commercialisation of the primaries and warned national officers of the party against destroying the APC by poor handling of the exercise. The Forum observed that barely 24 hours to the new date set for the exercise, the list of aspirants cleared to participate in the primaries has not been released. The group said it has credible information that national officers of the party are going round the states collecting money from aspirants while promising them APC tickets for the general elections. President Bola Tinubu had on Friday urged APC members to prioritize unity and sportsmanship in the nationwide primaries, warning against rancorous conduct that could undermine the party’s strength ahead of the 2026 general elections. In the statement signed by Zazzaga, the North-Central APC Forum backed Tinubu's admonition but added that national officers of the party should be called to order, to desist from actions that could lead to crisis ahead of the general elections. According to the Forum, feelers from the states already indicate that many influential party members are feeling sidelined due to what it described as "self-centered, commercially motivated actions of party officials". The statement said, "The North-Central APC Forum has observed with regrets that the forthcoming primary elections have already been monetized by party officials and that is why they are shifting the date from one day to another. "There is no other reason for the shift in date other than it being a direct consequence of the monetization of the primaries. They don't want to conduct free and fair primary elections because they have ulterior motives, hence they are shifting the date in order to concretize their plans. "We, the North-Central APC Forum, are warning the national officers to be careful. They should not kill our party in pursuit of their selfish agenda. "We are calling on all the authorities to be very vigilant because the process has already been commercialised and compromised. "What they are doing now is they are sending officials to various states to collect money from aspirants and promise them party tickets instead of making sound arrangements for free and fair primary elections. "That is why they have not released the list of those that were screened to participate in the primaries. That is part of the delay tactics they are using to ensure that they give tickets to those they collected money from." The Forum pointed to the situation in Rivers State, where several aspirants, said to be linked to the state governor, Sim Fubara, were reportedly disqualified. Noting that the screening process in Rivers was compromised, the APC Forum said similar situation is playing out in various states. It warned that the party risks being destabilized before the general elections in 2027, if the national officers are not called to order. |

The Riyom APC Youth Council has endorsed President Bola Tinubu, Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang and the member representing Barkin Ladi/Riyom Federal Constituency, Hon. Engr. Dalyop Fom Chollom, for second term in office ahead of the 2027 general elections. The group also threw its weight behind Vice President Kashim Shettima and Deputy Governor Ngo Josephine Piyo, citing what it described as visible achievements, inclusive governance and commitment to development. Addressing journalists in Jos on Tuesday, Chairman of the Riyom APC Youth Council, Comrade Pam Nuhu Daniel, alongside the Secretary, Comrade Patience Shishang Chaimang, said the endorsement followed extensive consultations with stakeholders, party elders, youths, women groups and community leaders across Riyom and Barkin Ladi Local Government Areas. The youth council also condemned recent attacks in Rim, Jol, Bachit, Fan, Nding and parts of Barkin Ladi Local Government Area, which claimed lives and led to destruction of property. The group described the attacks as “barbaric, painful, inhuman and unacceptable,” warning that such incidents were capable of threatening peaceful coexistence in the affected communities. They sympathised with families of victims and urged youths not to take the law into their hands or allow themselves to be used to foment violence. Endorsing President Tinubu and Vice President Shettima for a second term, the youths said the administration’s economic reforms and policies under the Renewed Hope Agenda were necessary for long-term growth and national stability. “We recognise the bold economic reforms and strategic efforts being undertaken by the administration to reposition Nigeria for long-term growth, economic recovery and national stability,” the group stated. The council also called on security agencies to intensify efforts toward arresting perpetrators and ensuring justice for victims. On governance, the youths commended efforts by the Plateau State Government and security agencies toward restoring peace and strengthening security across the state. According to the group, despite prevailing security and economic challenges, the Mutfwang administration has demonstrated commitment toward rebuilding trust, restoring confidence and improving the welfare of citizens. The council further congratulated Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda on his emergence as National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, expressing confidence that his leadership would strengthen internal democracy and reposition the party for future electoral victories. The group equally commended the Plateau State APC Chairman, Hon. Rufus Bature, and members of the state executive committee for sustaining stability within the party. On Governor Mutfwang and Deputy Governor Piyo, the council cited achievements in infrastructure, workers’ welfare, healthcare delivery, education, peacebuilding and youth engagement as reasons for the endorsement. The youth council also reaffirmed support for the continuation of Hon. Engr. Dalyop Fom Chollom as member representing Barkin Ladi/Riyom Federal Constituency. The group referenced resolutions reached during a stakeholders’ meeting held on April 28, 2026, where elders and stakeholders from Riyom and Barkin Ladi reportedly agreed that Barkin Ladi should retain the House of Representatives seat in 2027, while Riyom would take its turn from 2031 to 2039. According to the council, returning Chollom for a second term would strengthen representation, attract more federal projects and sustain ongoing constituency interventions. The youths also commended the lawmaker for what they described as effective representation, youth empowerment, healthcare support and accessibility to constituents. The council appealed to political stakeholders, aspirants and party members to avoid divisive politics and uphold the zoning arrangement agreed upon by elders in the interest of peace and political harmony in the constituency.

Seeks Assembly seat for Zawan, Reps for Gyel A socio-political group under the aegis of Zawan Vanguard has called for fair zoning and balanced political representation in Jos South Local Government Area ahead of the 2027 elections. The group said the demand became necessary to promote justice, unity and sustainable political progress in the area. Speaking during a press conference in Jos South on Friday, the group, through Raphael Chuhwak, who read the text on behalf of members, said the call was not aimed at causing division or exclusion but to ensure fairness among the various constituencies in the council area. According to the group, some sections of Jos South had remained underrepresented in key political positions for too long, a situation it said had created distrust, discontent and slowed collective progress. The group proposed that, in the interest of equity and inclusion, the position of member representing Jos South in the Plateau State House of Assembly should be zoned to Zawan, while the seat for the House of Representatives should go to Gyel. The statement read: “This proposal is grounded in the principle that every major constituency within Jos South deserves a voice in decision-making at the highest levels." “When representation is balanced, governance becomes more inclusive, development is more equitably distributed and peace and unity are strengthened.” The group warned that skewed representation could lead to alienation, frustration and avoidable conflict. It queried whether a stronger Jos South could be built while leaving some voices behind, insisting that the answer was no. Zawan Vanguard, therefore, called on political parties to adopt and respect the proposed zoning arrangement. It also urged political aspirants to align with the principles of fairness and equity, while calling on community leaders to mobilise support for what it described as justice. The group further encouraged youths and other citizens to demand balanced representation in the political process. Describing the moment as critical for Jos South, the group said the people had a choice between continuing with imbalance and dissatisfaction or embracing fairness, inclusion and shared progress. “The people of Jos South are ready for justice. The people of Jos South are ready for balance. The people of Jos South will no longer accept anything less,” the statement added. The group appealed to all stakeholders to support the cause, not only for Gyel or Zawan, but for the future of a united and fairly represented Jos South.

A young philanthropist and businessman, Timdi Nkat, founder of Timlight Group, has declared his intention to contest for the Mikang State Constituency seat in the Plateau State House of Assembly. Nkat, who is challenging the re-election bid of the incumbent Speaker, Rt. Hon. Naanlong Daniel, made the declaration with a strong message of unity, declaring that “Mikang unity is not for sale.” Speaking during the declaration exercise, Nkat described Mikang as a community built on the foundation of unity among its diverse groups. He stressed the need to protect that bond, which he said is now being threatened by growing divisions and self-interest. He vowed to “reinforce the cord” that binds communities such as Tehl, Garkawa, Piapung, and Koenoem into one indivisible identity. The aspirant expressed concern over what he described as a leadership style that has become disconnected from the people, making it difficult for ordinary citizens with good ideas to contribute while the genuine needs of the masses are neglected. Nkat highlighted the economic challenges facing residents and pledged to pursue people-centred representation that ensures resources are deployed for the benefit of the community rather than personal enrichment. On youth development, he said greater attention must be paid to empowering young people through skills acquisition, opportunities and support, adding that the future of Mikang depends largely on investing in its youths. Our correspondent reports that the Timlight Group founder has over the years earned a reputation for community support, particularly in youth empowerment, using his personal resources to make meaningful impact. Drawing from his background as a businessman and teacher, Nkat said he understands the value of hard work and community service, assuring that his experience has adequately prepared him for quality legislative representation. He described his ambition as a collective one and urged the people of Mikang to support the vision. “This is not my ambition’s song; this is our chorus,” he declared, calling for a new direction anchored on “something better.” With this declaration, Nkat is set to square up against the Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Naanlong Daniel, a third-term lawmaker who is seeking a fourth term in office. The development is expected to heat up the political space in Mikang Local Government Area as the countdown to the 2027 general elections begins.

The statement also reads that Speaking ahead of the launch, the DG ITF Ogun described the partnership with CTIN as a strategic intervention to bridge the skills gap in the construction industry. He noted that the initiative aligns with ITF’s mandate of equipping Nigerians with industry-relevant skills to boost productivity, employability and national development. He explained that the collaboration would equip artisans with the necessary technical competencies, promote adherence to industry standards and foster professionalism within the sector. Ogun added that beneficiaries of ITF’s Skill-Up Artisans (SUPA) Programme would gain access to enhanced training modules, modern construction techniques and best practices in cement application and structural integrity. He further stated that the initiative would improve employability and earning potential of artisans, while also providing certification and continuous professional development opportunities. “This will ultimately improve the quality of construction projects nationwide and strengthen public confidence in the sector,” he said. The Gyel Advocacy Group has appealed to stakeholders, political parties and elders in Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State to uphold the long-standing zoning arrangement for political offices as the 2027 general elections approach. In a press conference read by Mark Dung on behalf of the group on Wednesday, the stakeholders and elders of Gyel District stressed that the zoning formula, described as a “gentleman’s agreement,” has been the bedrock of unity and peaceful coexistence in the area since the return to democracy in 1999. The group noted that the arrangement has ensured rotational sharing of key positions, including the chairmanship of the local government, which has gone round all districts, and the House of Assembly seat, which has rotated among four out of the five districts, with Za’ang District now due for its turn. On the Jos South/Jos East Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives, the advocacy group presented historical facts of representation since 1999: They added that Hon. Sunday Daniel Dung (Za’ang District) served 1999–2003 ,while Late Hon. Gabriel Bwan Fom and Hon. Edward Pwajok (both from Kuru District) served 2003–2007 and 2015–2019 respectively. Also Hon. Bitrus Kaze (Jos East) served 2007–2015 ,while Hon. Dachung Musa Bagos (Vwang District) served 2019–2023. The group pointed out that Gyel and Du Districts are yet to produce any member for the House of Representatives since 1999. It therefore argued that, by the natural progression of the established equity formula, Gyel District should produce the candidate for the 2027 seat, to be followed by Du District. The group warned against attempts by some individuals to disrupt the zoning arrangement for personal ambitions, saying such moves could overheat the polity, risk losing the federal seat to internal divisions, and erode trust among the five districts. “If Jos South enters the race with divided interest by ignoring its internal fairness, we then risk losing the seat entirely due to internal friction,” the group cautioned. It also dismissed claims by some political actors that Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang had endorsed them to contest the Rep seat, urging such persons to stop using the governor’s name for personal gains. The group expressed confidence that the governor would not act outside the existing zoning understanding in Jos South. While commending political parties that have already aligned with the zoning principle by making their platforms available, the Gyel Advocacy Group called on others to do the same and adopt Gyel for the House of Representatives position in 2027. In a show of reciprocity and commitment to fairness, the group stood in solidarity with Za’ang District for the next Plateau State House of Assembly seat. It appealed to all aspirants from Gyel interested in the Assembly position to withdraw and support Za’ang, noting that Gyel had earlier enjoyed representation through Hon. Dalyop C. Mancha, who was elected twice . The group appreciated Governor Mutfwang for flagging off the Gyero–Tanchol–Tahei Sot–DB Zang road project, describing it as a fulfilment of the long yearning of the Gyel people. It reaffirmed the group’s support for his administration. The Gyel Advocacy Group urged all political actors, traditional rulers, youth groups and sons and daughters of Jos South to resist short-term interests and honour the 25-year-old tradition of zoning for the sake of unity and the “Greater Jos South” identity. “Let us go to the polls as a united Jos South, honoring our past to secure our future,” the group concluded.

Breaking News Wike-aligned PDP faction elects New Exco In Plateau As Peter Tongshep emerged Jos — A faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Plateau State loyal to Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has elected Peter Tongshep as its new state chairman. Tongshep emerged alongside other 38 executive members during a peaceful state consensus congress held on Tuesday in Jos. The congress, which took place under tight security with heavy deployment of personnel to ensure order and protect participants, was supervised by a seven-member delegation from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). The event drew key stakeholders from the Wike-aligned faction, including former Sports Ministers Damishi Sango and Musa.I. Azi, Sarpiya Danyaro, Aminu Zang, as well as BoT Members Timothy Golu and Rt. Hon. Johnbul Shekarau among other prominent party figures. The development highlights the increasing calls for reconciliation within the Plateau PDP, as rival factions vie for control of the party's structures amid ongoing national leadership tussles in the main opposition party. The congress comes against the backdrop of legal battles, factional congresses in other states, and efforts at reconciliation following recent court rulings affecting the party's national leadership. Efforts to reach officials from the opposing faction in Plateau for comments were unsuccessful as of the time of filing this report. While some political observers say the parallel structures could weaken the PDP's position in the state ahead of future elections, others believed that the appeal court judgement which recognises the Wike group should allow for reconciliation so as to halt the crisis to a stop. The newly elected PDP spokesman of the state, Dr Samaila Rukuba described the congress as very peaceful and orderly. He said with the conclusion of the state congresses, all eyes are on the way to the National Convention slated for 29th in Abuja. He called on all well meaning PDP members in Plateau to reposition themselves towards reconciliation and the task of recovering our run away mandate.

King Charles III welcomed members of the Nigerian diaspora to St James’s Palace, London, in an evening that blended ceremony, cultural pride and quiet diplomatic significance, while also drawing attention to one of the most urgent issues confronting families and educators today — the protection of children in the digital age. Held ahead of the expected state visit of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the reception brought together a distinguished cross section of Nigerians living in the United Kingdom, including business leaders, professionals, creatives and public figures whose work continues to strengthen the relationship between Nigeria and Britain. It was an event that recognised not only achievement, but influence. Among the guests was Mrs Katmaan Senlong, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Rupetta Group, whose work across education, technology and social impact has earned growing respect in both Nigeria and the United Kingdom. An ICT lawyer and education advocate, Senlong has become widely known for advancing a model of child development rooted in discipline, confidence, creativity and structured learning. In the course of a brief exchange with Mrs Senlong, King Charles III remarked that children should be kept away from social media while emphasising the importance of education in society. The comment reflected Mrs Senlong’s longstanding commitment to building environments in which children can flourish beyond the distractions and pressures of the online world. The moment was made more striking by its timing. Only a day earlier, Nigeria had opened a national public consultation on child online safety, with proposals under consideration including age limits for social media access, stronger age verification and greater accountability for digital platforms. The development marks a notable and welcome shift in Nigeria’s approach to child protection in the digital era, placing the country within a wider international movement that is increasingly treating online safety as a matter of public importance. Around the world, governments are moving with greater urgency. Australia has already introduced social media restrictions for underage users, while France, Norway and Denmark are among the countries taking firmer positions on how children engage with digital platforms. Nigeria’s own emerging response suggests a country beginning to meet the moment with seriousness and care. For Mrs Senlong, the issue is more than policy. It is central to the philosophy behind Rupetta Academy and the wider Rupetta Group. Her work has consistently focused on giving children meaningful alternatives through chess, science, structured education, physical activity and creative engagement. Under her leadership, young learners have taken part in internationally recognised chess and educational initiatives designed to build resilience, concentration and self worth. The evening at St James’s Palace also celebrated Nigeria itself. Guests were treated to Nigerian cuisine and cultural performances that reflected the country’s richness, confidence and global cultural reach. Beneath the elegance of the setting, there was a clear message. Nigerians in the diaspora are not only succeeding abroad, they are shaping serious conversations about the future of education, enterprise, culture and public life. As anticipation builds for President Tinubu’s visit, the reception offered an early note of warmth and mutual regard between both countries. Yet beyond the formalities, it also revealed something more subtle and perhaps more important. In figures such as Katmaan Senlong, Nigeria is presenting to the world a generation of leaders whose influence is measured not only by titles or visibility, but by the depth and relevance of the work they are doing. At St James’s Palace, that reality was impossible to miss.

Plateau academics inaugurate coordinators for Mutfwang/Tinubu 2027 re-election campaign A group of academics in Plateau State has formally inaugurated coordinators under the platform "Plateau Academics for Caleb Mutfwang/Tinubu 2027," pledging intellectual support and mobilisation for the re-election of Governor Caleb Mutfwang and President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general elections. The inauguration ceremony took place in Jos, where coordinators were appointed from various tertiary institutions across the state with Prof. Lazarus Maigoro named as the Patron of the group. Prof. Maigoro, who is also the Provost of the College of Education, Gindiri, while speaking at the occasion highlighted Governor Mutfwang's achievements in the education sector since taking office. He cited interventions that rescued institutions from accreditation threats by professional bodies such as the National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE) and the National Universities Commission (NUC). According to him, funding challenges that had stalled progress for over 20 years were addressed within six months of the Mutfwang administration. He also praised the absorption of over 700 casual staff across tertiary institutions, including 187 in one institution alone, which resolved long-standing staffing shortages. At the national level, Prof. Maigoro commended President Tinubu for implementing the reviewed staff welfare package, describing it as transformative. "If a lecturer is happy, he is at his best," he said, urging academics to actively participate in governance to influence policy and decision-making. The Plateau State coordinator, Associate Prof. Augustine Azi, described the platform as an intellectual movement rather than mere political endorsement. He noted that Plateau State hosts over 20 federal, state, and private tertiary institutions, with more than 15,000 academic staff, 30,000 non-teaching staff, and 350,000 students, making the academic community a significant force in leadership and social influence. "Our mission is the promotion of good governance through intellectual advocacy, policy dialogue, and evidence-based evaluation of leadership," the coordinator stated. He emphasised that the group would focus on voter sensitization, grassroots outreach, and policy engagement, all grounded in scholarship and critical thinking. The Chief of Staff to Governor Mutfwang Hon Jeremiah Satmark expressed surprise and delight at the turnout of critical academic minds in support of one cause. He described the gathering as unprecedented, noting that academics typically approach issues with scrutiny but had now united behind the governor. He reaffirmed Mutfwang's commitment to timely salary payments as a basic right, not an achievement, and his vision to position Plateau as a centre of excellence in education, leveraging its serene environment and climate to attract students nationwide. The Chief of Staff assured the group of integration into the broader campaign structure for the 2027 elections. Our correspondent reports that the event drew participants from institutions including the University of Jos, College of Education Gindiri, Plateau State University Bokkos , and others.

NNPC Secures Presidential Approval for $20 Billion Final Investment Decision on Bonga Deepwater Project His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, has approved a targeted fiscal incentive designed to unlock the long awaited Final Investment Decision (FID) on the Bonga Southwest Aparo (BSWA) deepwater project, marking a milestone in Nigeria’s ongoing drive to attract strategic investments and accelerate sustainable economic growth. The project is estimated to attract about $20 billion in Foreign Direct Investment and position Nigeria for a new era of deepwater production. The approval followed months of intensive technical and commercial negotiations involving NNPC Limited as the concessionaire, the Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS), the Special Adviser to the President on Energy, Olu Verheijen, and the Shell CEO Mr. Wael Sawan. It represents the culmination of the President's directive, issued during a courtesy visit by Shell CEO, Mr. Wael Sawan, to fast-track the enablers required to move this strategic national asset to FID. It signals renewed confidence in Nigeria’s policy direction and its resolve to translate reform momentum into tangible investment outcomes. Speaking on the development, the Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPC Limited, Engr. Bashir Bayo Ojulari, stated: "This approval is a testament to the President’s leadership, NNPC's disciplined execution and our ability to structure complex, bankable transactions that deliver value for Nigeria. For nearly two decades, the Bonga Southwest project remained stalled. Today, under President Tinubu's reform-driven leadership and through NNPC's sustained advocacy, we have broken that logjam. This is what partnership, persistence, and policy clarity can achieve." Ojulari further stated, "This milestone further affirms NNPC’s commitment, under the President’s leadership, to unlocking Nigeria’s vast energy potential through partnerships, disciplined innovation and execution excellence". The Bonga Southwest project will be the first FID on a Nigeria deepwater Production Sharing Contract asset since 2008, re-establishing Nigeria as a premier deepwater investment destination. The fiscal package approved by President Tinubu includes an enhanced Production Tax Credit and resolution of the 2021 dispute settlement agreement, creating a competitive framework that balances national value with investor returns. NNPC Limited, as concessionaire, worked closely with SNEPCo and the broader contractor party to develop alternative fiscal solutions that address structural constraints while protecting Nigeria's long-term interests. The approval was granted rigorous evaluation by the National Revenue Service and submission of recommendations to the Presidency. This milestone reinforces NNPC's strategic pivot toward partnership-driven growth. By aligning with global majors like Shell and securing the enabling fiscal environment, NNPC Ltd is translating the President's investment reform agenda into tangible outcomes—jobs, revenues, and energy security for Nigerians. With Presidential approval secured, NNPC Limited and its partners will now progress toward FID, triggering the multi-billion-dollar capital commitment that will transform Nigeria's deepwater landscape and deliver enduring value to the nation. The Bonga Southwest Aparo project, operated by Shell with all IOCs in Nigeria as partners, will create over 5,000 direct and indirect jobs, and deliver 150,000 barrels per day of crude oil and 140 million standard cubic feet per day of gas upon completion.
