You guys ain't seen nothing. Lemme burst your brain. Do you know it's not even about reading and writing speed or even actual capacity? I bought a memory card that will receive files smoothly but will break the file after first use. This it how it works; I collect a song from someone and I listen to it once without any problem. As soon as I play it a second time, it only plays part of the song and gives an error. Same with movies. I spent 3k on this card (32gb). You never can tell a fake from a good one easily. Best is to buy from stores like slot. |
CHESTER48:You should know that the choice for the best smartphone is relative. Features I might need on a phone would make a phone with those my favourite pick. Hence, I love Samsung because I have never seen. I repeat, I have never seen any phone with better graphics than a Samsung and S8 as well as S7 raises the bar. I'm a phone graphics freak as well as PC graphics too. Not much of a camera guy don't really care but all high end phones have good cameras - so what! As for processor speed, can't tell either. I used to tweak my phone software before and install custom roms. I don't do that anymore. My s8 does just fine. I've used the pixel XL- my cousin own. It's cool but it just doesn't look as good as Samsung and the graphics is not as good as my s8. Good. I remember, it also didn't have an earpiece port- a total turn off for me. This is just my preference. Won't tell you S8 is better than pixel XL2 |
Android is the best ecosystem trust me. I've used an iphone 6 and currently using a galaxy s8. One of the best phones ever. The google pixel might be great but I like hardware and pixel lacks that big time. Samsung is my best option so far. |

Not true... I use both MTN & GLO. And everything is still Normal. just finished a month subscription on Glo that I subscribed 2 days ago and no problem. |
All music players give the same audio output. won't change much. I've used basically all the players mentioned above on previous Android devices. I now stick to Google play music or my Samsung music for their simplicity. But I get the best audio output with my earpiece or headphones using a separate app. Viper4Android.... That app will change your life for ever. I'm a music freak and so when it comes to sound quality, I know a lot. To really get the best quality from your music, firstly, you need a phone from a top manufacturer like Samsung, Sony, HTC, LG etc. Tecno and Infinix do not give good quality output at all ( I've used them). Secondly you need a good quality earpiece or headphone and thirdly, you need to download songs 5mb and above and not less. Now for the last part, if you now need a heavenly experience where you begin to wonder whether the sound is really coming from your phone or not, then install Viper4Android (It requires root because it will seriously tweak your phone's audio system). Changing music players will make no difference. Use Viper with your own favorite musicplayer. Do this and come back and testify. Goodluck. ✌ |
Whatever made them increase the price of data was greatly contributed by MTN and probably Airtel. Why? According to recent subscription statistics released by NCC, MTN has been losing data subscribers at a constant rate while Glo has been gaining massive new data subscribers on their network beceof their extra cheap data. MTN, Airtel and Etisalat and the majority of the smaller ISPs could not compete and therefore had to file complaints to NCC, lobbying them to initiate this new directive. If you've noticed, both MTN and Airtel have been strongly informing their customers of the new NCC directive but Glo has refused to comment as they are not happy with this directive. why? This is why. Glo's strong point has always been their cheap data. They even call themselves the 'grandmasters of data'. But unfortunately the quality of their network cannot compete with that of MTN. But still Nigerians have preferred Glo's cheap data with their fair network quality. If this new data floor price (minimum price every network must sell data) is implemented by NCC, Glo will lose hugely. Just take a scenario where both MTN and Glo are both offering #1000 for 1gb, more people will opt for MTN because of their quality network and Glo will wither in the long run. What NCC wants in essence is 'completion in quality of network' and not completion for cheapest data. They want to level the playing field. Though, this was influenced by MTN and others. On my part, I completely disagree with this move on NCC's part. They should leave the competition to the network operators. Afterall not everyone will use Glo as some people prefer quality over quantity and others prefer quantity over quality. It's a choice Nigerians should make not NCC. That's why it's called 'competition' |

Is Glo following NCC's instructions? We haven't heard anything from them. I called their customer care and they said they don't have any information about that. Glo replied someone on their Twitter handle:

UNFORTUNATELY, I JUST CONFIRMED THIS MANDATION TO INCREASE DATA BY NCC from a friend mine that works in one of the telecom. I didn't want to believe it but it's true. All networks are to increase data effective from December but he said not all the networks are on board with this idea but what choice do they have. Let's see what will happen though. |
