(Numerous paid mails and calls throughout)
Don’t lose hope and adhere to the instructions they tell you but continue to keep updates with UKVI and the university as well.
Bank statements: 23rd of January
Visa alert vsf pick up: 28th January 11:40 East African time

(My school enrollment was 2nd of January latest enrollment was 20th of January. Extended to 27th of January, explained to the school they did an enquiry on my behalf last week and extended my enrollment to 3rd of February)

I know I’m not part of the Naira nation. But this thread has helped ease out my bp (lol! 😅). Truly grateful for the person who made this page. Wish all Africans can unite and assist each other the way I’ve seen Nigerians can come together and share their experiences, grievances, ideologies etc

Please house, my brother wants to invite his child over for a visit.
Thing is, my bro and the child's mom are separated. Though they were never married.
My brother is married now and live in the UK with his new wife.
In this instance, will help be needing any sole custody document or just a letter of consent?

Note: The child was included during the dad's application

I submitted my application to UKVI on December 13th and haven't heard back yet. School starts Last resumption today the 20th January 2025, and they've asked me to defer to April. They say they'll withdraw my current CAS and that I won't need to reapply for a visa because they'll update the UKVI SMS portal and issue me another CAS.

I'm confused because I haven't received any information about this new CAS.

And please do you have idea why Application is taken longer

i'm just really happy because while tracking on VFS website since friday 27th, it hasn't ticked anything like application submitted, and even till now, maybe VFS hasnt updated their application software since last week monday. I'm just waiting for the mail from VFS for pickup.

For my husband it was 16 years gap and what we did was prepare a
Detailed statement of purpose why he choose the course & country also explaining the gap
We added a detailed CV
Employment letter
Reference letter from work
Payslip of 6 months
Salary bank statement of 3months
Work ID card
We were to add few documents of IT related training he attended because we included that in the CV but we forgot and didn’t bother sending again.

We tried to ensure the documents we submitted should be able to answer any questions they might have in mind. Hope this helps you

It appears there are no IW/Dropbox in Lagos for the forseeable future. It's really frustrating cos this AVITS migration made thing worse.

DS 160 form is currently carrying Lagos - what I filled, is it possible to change it to Abuja please? It seems Abuja folks aren't experiencing this wahala.

Got a family member in the UK to speak to them on my behalf, they requested a consent letter/email. I sent the email, they claim they're yet to receive it 48 hrs after.
