With 0 casualties, looks like this was all a show of force. Iran knew if it killed Americans it would lead to it's destruction, they also knew they had to do something to save face with the Iranian people . Hopefully Trump sees it this way and avoids war. |

Afro-pop singer, Ahmedu ‘Black Face’ Obiabo, has issued an apology to his colleague, Innocent ‘2baba’ Idibia. The apology comes on the heels of the out-of-court settlement for their ongoing copyright infringement battle in Lagos on Wednesday. A copy of the apology letter, which the singer intends to post on social media on Thursday, was exclusively obtained by PREMIUM TIMES on Wednesday. It read, “Having consulted with my Solicitors, I do hereby revoke all allegations of intellectual property theft and career sabotage previously made against Mr. Innocent Idibia and Mr. Efe Omorogbe “These statements were erroneously made under misapprehension as to their accuracy, due to prevailing circumstances at the time. I have been advised on the inaccuracy of my previous allegations and retract them entirely. “I undertake to refrain from making any such subsequent statements against the persons of Mr. Innocent Idibia and Mr. Efe Omorogbe in future”. The erstwhile best friends came to an agreement at a mediation process held in the presence of 2baba’s manager, Efe Omorogbe, and Black Face’s lawyer, Manny Enajeroh, in Lagos on Wednesday. A mediator, Ronke Kuku, oversaw the process at the Ikeja High Court Alternative Dispute Resolution Centre (ADR) section. Black Face solicitor, Manny Enajeroh, has also confirmed the development. Mr Enajeroh also hinted of a possibility of both artistes recording a track when this newspaper probed further. “That would ultimately depend on the parties, but I see no reason why that can’t happen. Their differences were purely professional resulting from certain inefficiencies in the copyright system. There is no longer an issue of stealing songs so I believe the future of both artistes is bright,” he said. 2baba's manager also confirmed the news adding that his team would issue a statement to the effect on Thursday. Nigeria will not rush to deploy the 5 Generation telecom network now because it is still working to guide against the potential threat it could pose to the country’s security, the Minister of Communications, Dr Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami has said. Speaking in an interview on the sideline of the ongoing GITEX Technology Week in Dubai on Monday, Dr Pantami said though approval had already been given for trial of the latest telecom network in the country, the government needed to put some security checks in place before the actual deployment. “Before we will launch 5G network in the country we need to do pre-deployment checks and post-deployment checks. We are working to handle the challenges of pre-deployment but the approval has been given for the trial’’, the minister said. Some of the telecom operators are ready to deploy the 5G network, he said, ‘’but the proposal was put on hold so we can be productive and proactive because there could be potential challenges that could obstruct 5G network which includes regulations. You cannot just rush into it without preparing your ground.’’ He said the regulations would be done in collaboration with security agencies, including the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) and State Security Service (SSS), Police, and others. ‘’The reason behind doing this is that during challenges you can be on the same page and they will be able to monitor as part of their regulatory functions. Nigeria is ready for 5G network but preparation is key’’, he added. On why Nigeria will deploy 5G when many states are still not with 3G and 4G, the minister said that was the nature of technology. ”5G network is not all across the country because that is the nature of technology. In the past, some places did not even have 2G, there are over 200 areas in the country and with this you cannot say we cannot move to 5G when some people are yet to access 2G, 3G. The gaps are already there, it is not a new one but you cannot delay advancement because other people are not there, what we should do is to bridge the gap’’, he said. Dr Pantami said Nigeria is not doing bad in technology but ‘’we fail to patronize and deploy local technology.’’ Source: https://www.dailytrust.com.ng/nigeria-will-not-deploy-5g-network-now-pantami.html

Whose fault? Leaders = 80% Citizens = 20% Leadership Everybody defines leadership differently but I really like the way John C Maxwell defines leadership, “ A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way.” Leaders Inspire Others What has our leaders inspire us to become? Leaders are Creative and Innovative Innovation distinguishes between a leader and a follower.” In order to get ahead in today’s fast-paced world, a leader must be creative and innovative. Do we have that? No!!!! Innovation and creative thinking, as well as the futuristic vision, are a couple of key traits which make a leader stand out. Do we have that? No!!! Good Leadership under that Mr Necessary Evil in the next 3 years, 11 month and 21 days will be stagnant. The major problem of the citizens is pure case of Illiteracy. |
