Ladies and Gentlemen: This extraordinary war in which we are engaged falls heavily upon all classes of people, but the most heavily upon the soldier. For it has been said, all that a man hath will he give for his life; and while all contribute of their substance the soldier puts his life at stake, and often yields it up in his country's cause. The courage with which you, in an open field, maintained the contest against an entrenched foe, and the consummate skill and success with which you crossed and re-crossed the river, in face of the enemy, show that you possess all the qualities of a great army, which will yet give victory to the cause of the country. Condoling with the mourners for the dead, and sympathizing with the severely wounded. I tender to you, officers and soldiers, the thanks of the nation. |

Many Nigerians have stopped believing in President Muhammadu Buhari’s change mantra. In times like these, Nigerians have struggled to believe Mr President, and below are 5 crucial reasons why. 1. They don’t know if he is listening: Feedback is a proof to show a man listens. A listening leader is one the followers call a concerned leader. Reality is here and we don’t know if he has created bottlenecks for himself that filters what he hears and how he responds because the only feedback from his office has been majorly in response to attacks from aggrieved parties or the opposition. The presidency should be better than that. 2. They believe His appointments looks more personal than national: Obvious to a blind man is the fact that recent appointments by Mr President has been disproportionate. No excuse on the surface of this planet can justify the inclinations of President Buhari’s appointments. Even his party (APC) are rather mute about it. Now imagine what the ordinary non-partisan civilian believe about a President who ignores the optics of his inclination (Personal than National). 3. They believe He is hardly communicating to them: Where is Mr. President? Posting pictures on the internet shouldn’t be mistaken as communication. Having to always respond to attacks isn’t the same as communication. Having to tell us that you know what we are going through isn’t the same as communication. Probably, we need the President to begin his trips again, maybe then we would hear more from him and get more updated about where he is leading this nation to. The poor and downtrodden don’t understand protocols and obstructions, all they need is their president showing practical concern to their sufferings. 4. They don’t have an idea of his economic plans: Anyone who believes to have an idea of Mr President’s economic plan can believe everything about his government and his policies. But for Nigerians who buy, trade and renders service, their idea of Mr President’s economic plan is “Delayed Timing mixed with Hope”. 5. They don’t think he is identifying with them anymore: What has Mr President done to cut down the expenses of the presidency? How many aircraft has gone off his fleet? Nigerians feel used, feels dumped, and feels Mr President is looking like every other politician who will never be true to their word. Forget the so called achievements that this administration is forcing down our throats… no one believes his presidency anymore and if you still do, ask 5 people around you so you can feel their pulse. |
On senators Dino vs Remi Tinubu my take. Why would an altercation on the floor or at any level of the Senate by senators become a subject of firing salvos by people who have no business in the Senate? Statements or position of members in the cause of their official assignments in the Senate/house is covered by immunity to libel or defamation. If Remi or Dino feel shortchanged there are laid down house mechanisms in tackling that why would Tinubu go to the extreme of issuing out an official statement against Dino? This is unacceptable. There is no where in the world where legislators always agree without altercation and in some cases it translates into exchange of fist in the house. Mind you Remi Tinubu is in the Senate as a senator of the federal Republic of Nigeria and NOT the wife of Tinubu. If Tinubu is not comfortable with his wife being denigrated by her colleague then like the saying goes "if you can't take the heat get off the kitchen". My worry here is both senators Dino and Remi are anything but not Distinguish or Honorable in the sight of right thinking public. Why would both senators condescend to the level of throwing caution to the dogs and deploying unacceptable arsenals to settle personal acrimony. My question is this to you all " what will be your reaction if a female/male staff of same rank calls you a dog? can all the "gentlemen and ladies" here answer with sincerity? |
This is worth reading!!! Melaye, made this known during a press briefing. Read his statement below: It is my sincere pleasure to address you this morning. It wouldn't have been necessary to address you on the subject matter am about to address you on but it has become expedient that despite the fact what I am addressing you transpired in the executive session of the senate but because of the misinformation by people of inundinate ambition out there. It has not only become expedient but it has become very, very paramount that I address you on this subject matter. On Tuesday, the 12th of July, we had an executive session to discuss basically on the issue of forgery case in court and when I stood up to address and I want to say that on my honour as a christian on my honour as a father and on the oath of my office as a senator of the federal Republic of Nigeria I am telling you the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. I have never being a coward, I will not start an apprenticeship programme now on how to become a coward. Whatever I say anywhere I can boldly repeat everywhere. When I stood up and I made my submissions that day in the senate, all I did was to pacify my colleagues and asked that the case in court be withdrawn because already there is a resolution of the senate that the rules of the senate were not forged and since there was a resolution of the senate that the rules of the senate were not forged then I said all those who have gone to court should go and withdraw their names from court and that if at the end of the day those who refused to withdraw their names from court we should penalised them by suspending them, I said that. But I did not use any insolent abusive degrading or mannerless language. So there was no reaction from any of our colleagues as regards my presentation. After I spoke so many other senators spoke and I did not mention the name of any senators while I was making my presentation, unfortunately senator Oluremi Tinubu got up and was recognised to speak and immediately she started speaking she specifically mentioned my name even when in my presentation I did not mention anybody names I only appeal to the sensitivity of my colleagues and asked them to withdraw their case from court and reminded them already that there was a resolution of the senate that the rules were not forged. But because of reasons only known to senator Oluremi Tinubu she got up the first thing she said was that she's being harrassed in this chamber by senator Melaye. I kept quite at that point, she went ahead to say that why will he come here and be threathening senators and there was a large chorus from senators how, when, where, senators reacted. At that point I was still very calm, she got up again and said that this thug must be tamed at that point I got up and I told her that she is very stupid. The next statement from her is that you are a dog. She called me a dog and when she called me a dog I stood up and I reacted and I told her that this is not Bourdillon and that she should look at my face, I am not one of those senators who normally come to prostrate to them in Bourdillon. And I told her I am from Kogi State, I am not from Lagos State and that there would never be a day that I will come to you for political assistance. This were my words and she went on shouting dog, thug. I want to tell you gentlemen of the press for every reaction there must be an action. When I got up to address my colleagues she was not the only senators there. If I had used insolent language or foul languages you will know the type of senators we have they would have reacted and some of them would have even addressed you guys by now to say Dino insulted us. But because she acted in the manner she did not one seantor stood up in her defence when I was tongue lashing her. Even the senators from Lagos was there, Ashafa was there he didn't stand up fro his seat. It is not true that anybody circled her because there was no need to. I did not leave the spot where I was sitting I didn't get up from my seat. So there wouldn't have being anybody to but somehow she got falsehood sold to the saharareporters. Nobody amongst those of us who spoke there actually talked about impeachment. Infact the issue of the presidency or president was not the subject matter we were discussing on how the senate can also come together and solve the forgery case. There wouldn't have being any need to even discuss about Buhari or the Presidency but because of deliberate wickedness and satanic manifestations they brought in the issue of presidency to garnish their aim and purpose. Today, I read on the pages of newspaper that in Nation to be very precise that senator Borrofice calling me names. Unfortunately, this expatriate senator, absentee senator called senator Borrofice was not even in the Chamber and he has not being in the chamber for the past two months. He was not in the chamber, I was surprised maybe he has celestial powers to understand what happens in his absence. For him to open his gutter and pass insolent languages on me. I have never being a coward and I will never be, I fight my battles alone and I stand by it and there is nothing I say anywhere that I cannot repeat everywhere. If there are instances that I am not a super human being, if there are instances where as a human being I have reacted negatively I am also ready to be apologetic about it. But in this particular instance, I have never mentioned anybody's name, I never even used insolent languages but because they are here to heal from the wound of defeat of the election of the senate president and because of my key role in this exercise where she and her husband called me severally to appeal to me to backoff Saraki and I say I will not backoff Saraki, I will continue to support Saraki, Saraki is my brother, he is my friend and I will continue to support him and this will not change today, it will not change tomorrow, it will not change in this four years of our stay in the Senate. Every human being can have ambition, it is not a crime to be ambitious. saraki had the ambition of becoming a Senate president and God endorsed it, president Muhammadu Buhari is an ambitious person that is why he contested for the presidency four times before God answered him. I am an ambitious person, I event want to be president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria very soon. So it is not a crime to be ambitious. So if you go through the papers today there has been a lot of misinformation, a lot of lies, a lot of blackmail, planted stories just to discourage the person and personality of Dino Melaye but I want to assure everyone that I remain resolute in my compaternal convictions, I will continue to stand by the truth, I will continue to speak for those who cannot speak for themselves, I will continue to be a voice to the voiceless and in reaction I heard that Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu said my political career has come to an end. I want to say that Tinubu is no God. I fear only the God almighty, I fear no soul I only respect souls. So far my political journey to the House of Representatives and the Senate have no political, financial or moral contribution of Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the God who has brought me this far is mighty, strong and enough to take me further, what God has given me no man can give and what God has given to me no man can take. I want to assure you that this is the true story of what transpired. It is falacious, malicious and a lie that I said I will impregnate Mrs Tinubu. Biologically it is even impossible to impregnate Mrs Tinubu because she has arrived menopause. If you also look at that statement for those of us who are intellectually mobile, how can you say you want to beat somebody and at the same time you want to impregnate the person if you juxtapose the two is there any correlation, does it make any logical sense. So, when they planted this falsehood they did not think deeply. I want to say that I will continue to uphold the culture the tradition, the values of the Kogi West Senatorial district and I will not abuse it. But it is absurd for a woman to look for her colleague and call him a thug and a dog when he has not personally addressed you. unfortunately I did not have the anointing to be quite when you are being insulted I replied accordingly. I repeat there is no reaction without an action. If she did not call me a dog or a thug there is no way I would have responded. I responded I have no regrets for responding and defending my person and if tomorrow or in the next 1hour, Senator Tinubu again called me any name I shall equally respond accordingly. |

FlawlesRebirth02:Hopefully u will not be f**ked in camp!!! |
It’s that time of the year again, some eager, some not so eager, some young, some not so young graduates from all parts of Nigeria jump on the bike, bus, cab, train, plane, private jet that’ll take them to the much talked about N.Y.S.C orientation camps all around the country. I’m particularly interested in this set because my kid sister is among the many graduates going through the process this year and for the past couple of days across all social media channels there’s been all kinds of discussions on the subject. Knowing me and the TNC culture, I’m sure you know we are not here to discuss the common issues ad topics associated with NYSC. I won’t spend time talking about posting drama, the poor quality of the facilities or the safety issues because to be fair, you already have a lot of conversations going on online on those topics. Today, as encouraged by one of my friends (such awesome friends I have), w are going to be discussing the ‘sexy’ side of NYSC – something I originally titled National Youth Sex Convention. For those of you that read that and thought, exaggeration, well, I guess we’ll all find out today. I remember going through the NYSC orientation exercise some years back and with my ‘innocent’ self, I really didn’t expect anything over the top. I mean, you have hundreds of young, sexually active men and women in the same space for three weeks, of course there’ll be the few ‘isolated’ cases, well, so I thought, if only I knew. From my first night in camp, I got a good idea of what I was in for when I walked in on two of my roommates err..having a ‘good time’ with a chic they had only met that day. Let’s not get into how I almost died of hunger that night because I ‘excused’ them and the Maami market was closed before I could gain access to the room. I was later rebuked by my roommates for not only showing them courtesy but for not waiting to accept their invitation for me to join their party. Being the inquisitive person I am, you do not even want to imagine the things I saw and witnessed through my remaining days in camp. From the condom dump behind my room to tales of orgies, homosexual rumps in the male/female hostels, tales of corpers escaping camp with their ‘camp catch’ to go to guest houses, to female corpers sleeping with soldiers to help manipulate their posting. There was sex everywhere in camp and you didn’t need to dig deep to find it. Incase you were wondering, my orientation camp wasn’t in Lagos so it isn’t a matter of location. I had friends in the Lagos camp and they had equally ‘interesting’ stories to tell. Sex on the parade ground, publicly for all to see. Sex in the Maami market and all kinds of lewd acts that most parents can not even imagine. Well, I guess some of you reading already know these things but I know there are still a lot of people out there convinced nothing of the sort happens in camp. After all there are ‘measures’ put in place particularly to prevent these things. There are separate hostels for men and women, the camp ground I well lit at night and there’s even a strict curfew in place. However where there’s a will(y), there’s a way. Today I want us to draw attention to the subject of sex at the NYSC orientation camps, not just for the fun of it but because I think those heading out to camp need to at least know what they are getting into. Let’s keep the discussion as open as possible, if you have to comment anonymously, please do. Go ahead and share those crazy NYSC orientation camp tales. Then go ahead to tell us if you think it can or should be curbed and if not, then how can we help these young people stay safe. You know the drill, use the comment box to express you. |

WHO DRANK IT
Nigerian Breweries recorded sales of almost N300
billion in2015 while Guinness is expected to record sales
of N275 billion totaling almost =N=600 Billion (About $
3 billion) which is about 3% of our GDP. That is about
3billion bottles of beer and when distributed across 170
million people is about 20 bottles per person a year.
The average Nigerian is either a Christian or a Muslim.
Both religions enjoined adherents to avoid alcohol. So,
who drank=N=600 billion worth of alcohol in one year?
A country of unassailable contradictions... More
churches and mosques than anywhere else on the
continent.
Please who drank it?
This is interesting because It does not include paraga,
and other assorted foreign and local drinks like
Ogogoro, palm wine, alomo, kerewa, etc. If these are
added, only God knows...!
But please answer me... Who drank it? |

ASK A NIGERIAN POLITICIAN WHAT THEY THINK ABOUT THIS HOT WEATHER CONDITION. Journalist: what are your thoughts on this heat Nigerians are complaining about and what is the government doing about it: RESPONSES: LAI MOHAMMED: this is the result of PDP’s misrule, they stole the ozone layer. FEMI ADESINA: Mr. President promised us change and that includes change in temperature. CHANGE IS HERE, EMBRACE IT. AKINWUMI AMBODE: We have signed a $10million deal with LG to install air conditioners across the Lagos skyline. IBE KACHUKWU: I assure you the heat will disappear by 2pm 29th May. BUKOLA SARAKI: Tinubu wanted the heat to be more than this but i opposed him, out of my love for Nigeria and that is why they are witch-hunting me. GOODLUCK JONATHAN: This heat was not this bad when I left office/power but Nigerians did not appreciate me. ADAMS OSHIMOLE: Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala stole the N100 billion meant for temperature control Research. NASIR ELRUFAI: We are in talks with General Electric to see how they can generate power for Kaduna from the heat. RAUF AREGBESOLA: I have just approved payment of January salary so that Osun workers can buy hand fan. ALIKO DANGOTE: Next week, we are commissioning the Dangote Fan Factory; by 2030 Australia will be buying fans from us. BEN MURRAY-BRUCE: *tweets* when Naira is weak and inflation is high automatically there will be heat. This is common sense. NGOZI OKONJO-IWEALA: Under the last administration there was no political will to address climatic change. PRESIDENT BUHARI: From USA ... this heat is kwarupt because Nigeria is kwarupt and I will fight every form of kwaruption involved and responsible for this heat and every kwarupt heat will go to jail. |
