HolyHolla, do you realise that personal anecdotal evidence is inadmissible as scientific fact because it has no variable to serve as scientific control?

Do you realise that in the event of having a model created to test this anecdote and it is found to be inconsistent with majorly held scientific proofs, even if it is minutely true, it is classed an outlier, and this has no place in scientific analysis?

Are you then for a second, suggesting (through your use of an obviously imbalanced Majek and screaming that this is what weed causes) that your personal experience, an anecdote, supersedes painstaking clinical and laboratory researches by certified experts in regulated control environment conducted on thousands of people over decades and published in peer review journals?

See, i am not saying science is always the absolute truth(actually nothing can be closer to the truth than objective science) but one thing we can always be grateful for is that science has thrown more light on the darkness of our ignorance.

HolyHolla, do you have any credible and objective citation from peer-reviewed medical journals where it is stated that weed is expressly addictive?
Please bear in mind the popular Pavlov experiment in classical conditioning in case you wish to cite 'behavioural addiction'.

From decades of review of international research on marijuana, both laboratory and survey research, between 10-30% of regular users will develop dependency. Only about 9% will have serious addiction. Is this what people unobjectively extrapolate on the whole population size?

Citations from pharmacology journals supporting your massive claims would be highly appreciated.
RomanceRe: Fear Of Rejection From A Girl. by joudini(m): 1:09pm On Nov 24, 2013
Dude, you just a sucker for love. You don't force this love shiit. You let it ride out. I mean everywhere you turn it seems you have women disappointments here and there. You have a big red flashing 'L' sign on your forehead and these scheming girls can see it from a mile out. Give yourself some self worth man.

Op, you won't be doing enough justice to yourself listening to just singles from Immortal Technique. Get his projects like The Martyr, The 3rd World, The Revolutionary vol. 2. Understand this enigma behind the music. Follow his train of thought. You should also checkout Pharoahe Monch, Elzhi, Ab-soul, Kendrick Lamar etc. Lots of conscious cats keeping it real.

GustavoFring: Perhaps so.

But what I was making reference to was the stereotypical feelings of 'brotherly love' that is often expected to prevail during kush sessions.

I am naturally somewhat apathetic to the struggles of the common man and often eschew the feelings of solidarity that are elicited upon meeting someone going through the same situation as yourself.

I would rather kush and assess myself against my self imposed standards, than kush and ruminate on current issues and events with others...
Gustavo, you a fascist? (lol,l couldnt pass up on that)

You appear to have a rigid standard of social interaction that not even a heightened level of environmental awareness can affect. Some psychologist would be too eager to slam a label on this extreme level of emotional assuredness. lol

It's hard to be successfully introspective without external pressure. Pressure induced external factors that will make you shrink, look inwards or take solace in the shell of your sub-conscious. the moment of clarity. the moment of soul searching for answers for existential problems. introspection caused by external awareness.

GustavoFring: Lets talk weed and sprirituality, does anyone else feel like they can commune with the divine when they imbibe?

I don't.

But I've heard people say that they can.

What are your views?
When people say they commune with the divine, l would believe they mean weed enlightens the sensibilities, makes you aware mentally and psychologically, of your existence in a vast world, your role in such a complex space and would want to place the balance and complexity of such creation on a supreme being or time and energy (depending on your perspective).

l used to have this feeling especially when l puffed from the balcony or roof of high rise buildings, and l would find myself questioning the social ills, inequality, social order, religion etc. The nolstagia of having this girl who would do anything to please me come up the roof of a 3 storey building to give me a head. Head while blunting. . .that was some sh¡t.
ALERT! ! ! EXTRA LONG POST FROM AN ANGRY STONER! ! !

Some people just weren't meant to smoke weed, it's a fact. Those are the ones that fight tooth and nail against it. The worst is when someone's never ever tried it before but is ready to fabricate a hundred lies about what makes it bad. Those people deserve to be flogged. If you've never been to sokoto you can never tell me what happens there. Most of the most prominent, intelligent, successful and wealthiest people in the world either smoke marijuana or have done so at one time or another in their lives, from Oprah to Obama and Bill Gates to Clinton then Bush to Mandela (I purposely left out musicians from my list for obvious reasons) the fact is that everyone must have at least one bad habit, just chose the one you can defend at any time or gathering.

It's legalized in many countries already. Do you know that in America there are reportedly over a million alcohol, cocaine, heroine and acid related fatalities each annually but ZERO cannabis related ones? Do your research my people. I'm so tired of people saying weed is bad. Smoke blunt and shut up. People frequently have bad experiences on their first try but it gets better from there, those that took it the first time and ran away from it obviously took an overdose. Thankfully an overdose of marijuana has been known to knock out the consumer for a short period of time at most after which the individual comes to (I say this because it happened to me on my first try, it never deterred me though) You can never run mad from an overdose, it's a fabrication that old people used to try and make their kids desist from taking it. Anyone you noticed who took it and ran mad must have added something else into it either knowingly or unknowingly OR didn't tell you the truth about the kind of drug he/she took prior to running mad OR its a remote controlled event by that old witch from the persons village smiley

When you take it the first time you won't understand what's going on with your system, it makes your senses heighten and your mind may wander depending on your activity at that time. But when you take an overdose the first time this feeling causes panic and dread to anyone.

The problem is that we Nigerians abuse it, it's supposed to be taken in 'medical' quantities (often referred to as pinchi). In other countries the drug may cost so much that up to 5 individuals may have to pool resources just to purchase a joint which they all share. Over here with as little as N50 you can buy a quantity equal to that being sold for $30 or £20. Do you know that the bottom part of the joint where your lips go (aka claro) is enough to give you the necessary medical relaxation that the drug was intended to? No newbie can have a harrowing first experience if he/she takes a maximum of 3 long deep puffs of marijuana smoke at any given time.

People should stop calling Jesus or God where marijuana is involved, it's not a mortal sin to smoke even if it damages your lungs. Too much of everything has repercussions and don't forget that we're all BONA FIDE SINNERS here. I will rather take an overdose of marijuana and get knocked out than take an overdose of alcohol and act the fool (well, at my level I can never get knocked out by marijuana ever again) I know that I may one day quit smoking, but I haven't imagined what sickness will cause that event to take place. Don't tell me my lungs will get back because it's better than having a black heart as most people do. I know I will die someday but if I had a choice I will pray to go in my sleep or while high on some kush wink

Sticks and stones may make you bleed but you'll feel a lot better if you smoke weed. #word
It's 3 days since you posted this but l still come around to steal a glance. You hit a lotta straight-from-the-soul grail right there that l feel like l owe you. I hope to redeem it. #NoStringsAttachedLikeaCordlessPhone

ATMC: Tobacco kills about six million people each year -- Almost one casualty every eight seconds.
Do you actually know what weed is and is not? Do you know what tobacco is and what makes it so dangerous? Do you know 'nicotine', the addictive element in tobacco is absent in weed? And so is other dangerous refined compounds absent? Do you know after series of complex researches, some partly sponsored by pharmaceutical monopolists to witchhunt weed, there hasn't been a universally accepted verdict in medical journals about the real dangers of weed beyond the expected behavioural addictions. Ever heard of medical grown weed? Read up on the application of weed in medical research and institutes including hospitals. Let's be factual about what weed is and is not.

Depends on what you are addicted to.
HealthRe: Thread For Weed Smokers. by joudini(m): 6:36pm On Oct 20, 2013
aManFromMars: Wow,, 14 shocked

Not bad. Are you happy/stable now without it? Do you miss the psychedelic feeling?
Weed, like all drugs, doesn't bring true and long lasting happiness or stability. That feeling of contentment is an illusion brought about by the psychedelic effect of weed on the nervous system. It lasts as long as the high. Now, to get this contentment again, you light some blunt. This is how behavioural addiction is formed.

No, l won't say l miss the psychedelic effects. I have been trying over the years to adapt that sort of awareness without weed.
HealthRe: Thread For Weed Smokers. by joudini(m): 6:15pm On Oct 20, 2013
I would say l had early contact with weed. Started at 14 in boarding house. One of the things l copped from weed was the relaxed, laid-back, multi-dimensional view it seemed to give me about an event. I no longer looked at an event just like an event but as a sequence of reaction from an earlier event. It seemed l could see the board instead of individual pieces just like an eagle flying overhead. It gave me a super-imposed sense of awareness. I was at peace with myself and nature. But only as long as l was under the psychedelic effects. Over the years though, l have understood that l shouldnt let a substance, natural or synthetic, determine my state of mind for me at any moment. I had to give it up.
FashionRe: Reviews Of The Best Skin Lightening Products You Have Ever Used. by joudini(m): 6:46pm On Sep 26, 2013
^^ The enlightened (pardon my pun) ones know the tone of their skin (whether black, brown, yellow, green, polka dot etc) doesn't determine their self worth and value.

In your search for straws, you bring up skin diseases. Why do you and your kind bleach? You all have all these skin diseases? Are these what the manufacturers tell you are the benefits of skin bleaching? Can you now understand your hypocrisy?

Webster dictionary defines bleaching as "to make white by taking out colour by exposure to the action of chemical preparation". Go on google, wikipedia, american scientific and medical journals and enlighten yourself about the severe danger of bleaching (or you can use your favourite euphemism 'lightening'). These are knowledge the manufacturers are hiding from you. Like willing guinea pigs and laboratory mice mutants, you offer these exploitative colonialists ample evidence that the blackman will do anything to look like the whiteman even if it means killing his skin.

Do you know none of those celebrities you listed are white? And who told you 'thickness' is an exclusive preserve of black people? This is what happens when people allow themselves to literally have their minds tied up by white liberal news media which does its very best to continually make you feel like a victim.

The only reason l am worried is hoping the epidemic that will arise down the years owing to the full deployment of these carcinogenic chemicals won't be a burden, blight and drain on the nation's health and social resources.
