FirstbornWds:A 30-year old wijnaldum? Is this a plan for the future? Whatever happened to our plan of relying on young, vibrant, talented players? |
Can someone please explain to me what Wijnaldum is coming to Barça to do! Are this people mad in? |
Can someone please explain to me what Wijnaldum is coming to Barça to do! Are this people mad in? |
Barca will denounce/sue Messi and any club that signs him, if FIFA grants the Argentine provisional transfer. Isn't bartomeu not taking this too far? |
Jorge Messi :"it will be difficult for Leo to stay at Barça ". Minds made up, I guess. Rakitic's ceremony. An honourable way of leaving. Will Messi get the same? |
Izanghi:I remember this too. But we thought he had perished the idea of going to England. We thought he'll stay with us to the end. |
Isiterere:He has tried. He won europa cup with Sevilla. Came to camp nou and we gave him a treble(I mean, he helped us too to get it). He won la Liga several times with us. Got to world Cup final. Maybe not a Barça legend, but a football legend to-be. I repeat: legend to-be |
afroduke:Bring who back? Biko, perish that nonsensical idea, if you don't want, amadioha + sango+Thor to fire your anus simultaneously . Valverde? The things I see on this thread shocks me every passing day. Valverde? Is this how low we've sunk. |
Hmmm Vigilantes? Reminds me of how they beat up one man in my area. Actually, they've been targeting the man and use their status as 'Vigilantes' to met out 'justice'. Honestly, while Vigilantes are crucial in face of the Nigerian police incompetence, they should be regulated. Are they even licensed? |
Reports are flying that man city are willing to slash 500 million(across 5 years) to get Messi. The announcement is said to be coming real soon. His 1st 3 season will be with man city while the final 2 with New York city FC. A joint-club work, I guess. |
mostob:New signings? Apart from the fact that we ain't got cash and we're trying to suck as much as we can from any Messi deal, who will want to come to Barça. Lautaro is no longer convinced barca is a good club for him. Van de beek had signed for man utd, while we we're dragging Messi case. We don't even have a plan for next season. But I'll like to trust Koeman. |
Hmm |
jpmoriarti:Barça style is about playing attractive football. We left Tiki taka. And we've been styleless ever since. Just play! Honestly, I'll love to see, Tiki taka again, I mean the quick and intricate passing style. Not just possession based football with no direction, purpose or intensity. It's still a valuable philosophy. But it should be revolutionized (with shooting outside the box and inclusion of counter attacks when on the defensive foot). Funny thing is, the style is the best style, as it allows team play, quick and speedy movement and dominance. |
jpmoriarti:You're pained that Messi is leaving, right? |
BykeLaByke:Leave the fool. He doesn't even understand how things are going. Just shouting Messi should be frustrated, he should be taught a lesson. Clown |
jpmoriarti:I just verified you're dumber than I thought. It's obvious you're ranting with no understanding of how contracts work. |
jpmoriarti:So he should be frustrated because he wants to quit. Your perspective is a stupid one. I'm not sorry to say that. Why should barca frustrate him? Give one reason (that's if your shallow mind can furnish one). Let's forget Messi's influence or anything. Why should barca let him go? Because you have been typing rubbish and off-point. Forming ' I'm different from the crowd'. |
jpmoriarti:Wait! Are you following the Messi saga at all? Who is raising hell. Messi or Barça? Messi wants to leave on peaceful terms and is avoiding a court case, Barca on the other hand are denying him any meeting, except for contract renewal! Can you see how stupid bartomeu is. A player wants to leave and you feel, your best action is to frustrate him, right? You and Bart share the same reasoning. And it's toxicity is affecting this thread. |
modextus:He should have rejected the pay, aye? Tell me, with the incompetence of the board that is been revealed, if Messi left barca, the same way Neymar left, how many la Liga, or copa del rey, do you think we would have won? He's done so much for the club because by saving our asses several times and covering up the faults of players, manager and board. How many players can do that. Why won't they pay him. |
khingTony:The same way Ronaldo was the main guy in Madrid, but how does it stop the players from performing or giving their best ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
jpmoriarti:Messi should assist them to adapt? Messi should assist Dembele not to have injuries? Messi should assist the coach to stop playing the players, like Griezmann, out of position? Messi should assist Coutinho not to go missing in matches? Wow! (this isn't a remark over your wisdom, just the opposite) |
FirstbornWds:Oga, please do us the honours. I tried replying 2 idiots. My fingers dey pain me. Na rubbish I just dey see. |
modextus:I've been reading bullshit on this thread today! Messi is a coward? Messi faced the board countless times for improvement. Messi prophesied Champions League doom if barca doesn't improve Messi ALONE carried a mediocre team for 5 years. Messi put up with the bullshit of the management for year. He stayed loyal. He fought. Messi kept on voicing impending doom. Now, it's here. We're at our all time low. He's a coward? You're good-for-nothing ingrate. You expect MORE from him? You expect MORE from him? Why don't you tell him to cut off is legs na? . What should he have said after the Bayern's defeat? The only thing I have faulted Messi for is his motivational skills in matches, but he covers that up with brilliancies. So what do you want? He should have said something? Listen to yourself. Work for a company for years despite having better offers . You gave your best. Carried the company to great Heights yet the management keep being stupid and the company wrecks. Oh you'll wait and say something, abi? Bullshit spewer |
Olamyyde:If you're in his shoes you won't be saying this bullshit. Okay, let's look at copa America. VAR was introduced in the quarter finals. When Messi ad Argentina met Brazil, that match marred by wrong calls. Messi begged referee to check VAR several times. That could have changed everything. In the 3rd place match, He got a red card when he wasn't guilty at all. Did referee check? No. He just dished out cards. Honestly, Brazil were favored. Messi was right. If you watched the competition, you'll understand. As for his troubles with Barça, what do you expect. He has laboured, and the board keeps doing crap. He wants to leave and you're bringing some role model bullshit talk. Guy sit down. |
Hmmm I'm not surprised that La Liga is saying this. The revenue Messi brings to the league is incredible. It's really funny tho. La Liga saying that the only way our is the triggering the 700 million buyout clause, while barca are desperate to accept 250 million. Clowns everywhere! But, honestly, I think they should let him go. This isn't the Messi exit we foresaw. I believe this will be dragged to court and I believe Messi will win the case. |
haymekus:Lol! The funny thing is the 700 million buyout clause might have expired on. |
FirstbornWds:You sabi! Can you imagine not knowing about the contract clauses all this while. How clueless can a board be? |
jpmoriarti:Which stupid mutiny?! He wants to leave. But the club is insisting on going dirty when he has rights of his own. Are we gonna chain him down? The guy even wants a peaceful negotiation but barca are being adamant. They didn't arrange their contracts in order. Now it's causing problems. As for Arthur, I don't blame him. Barca frustrated him. He wasn't given playing time with all the talent he has. At least we could have used him well. Maybe we would have achieved something before he left. |
Sommyroy10:In contract law, there are things call explicit(stated point blank) and implicit representation (the most relevant). Implicit representation is usually upheld because it carries the intention of both parties. It is the spirit of the contract, and that is what counts. Barca and Messi agreed on June 10, with the intention of that date being recognized as the deadline after the end of 2019/2020 season. The pandemic made that impossible, as the season was delayed. The point is June 10 is just a 'Label' that represents the deadline for Messi, after the end of 2019/2020 season. Hence, Messi's claim is still valid. |
Sommyroy10:It actually weakens barca resolve and makes them desperate especially with Messi pushing for a free transfer due to the June 10 clause. Barca claimed Messi should have announced on that date and since he didn't, he can't leave except the club that wants to buy him triggers the buyout clause(700 million). Messi is saying the implicit agreement(i.e the actual contractual intention ) is that the announcement is to be made at the end of the 2019/2020 season. The pandemic delayed season ending. So June 10 doesn't apply. Now if that clause(buyout clause) doesn't exist, Barca have lost the leverage they have to hold on to Messi. Currently, report have it that they are willing to accept £250 million. I sense they know their claim is weak. If Messi takes it to court, he'll win. His lawyers just have to be smart. |
ghettokid1:Kid, shey you see what Barto has turned us to. Can you imagine reports are flying that the 700 million buyout clause doesn't even exist anymore. Was this the Messi exit we planned. Everything don tire me. |
BykeLaByke:When I saw the news, I was just weak. And they're forming hard guys. Honestly, I understand barca don't wanna lose(whether Messi or cash) , but, I doubt if we're gonna win if it goes to court. I can't believe this is even happening . This wasn't the Messi exit we foresaw. This wasn't how we thought it would happen. Not through quarreling and back-and-forth claims. If this news is true, then barca is cemented as the dumbest club of the decade. It hurts but it's true. Bartomeu and Co have ruined us. I'm just sad |
