JayEntaur:
That's Asaba, not Abuja.

That's the road beside Golden Tulip Hotels, off Miriam Babangida Way, Asaba, Delta State.
Oh! I actually thought it was Abuja, thanks for clarifying.

Collecting whatever stuff you gave to her is a sign of immaturity. Why not call her to order and tell her how you feel? I really don't know why if a guy gifts a lady stuffs, they always feel she is indebted to them and suddenly start suspecting a foul play.

See the way he was even sucking her lips.
That is how they start molesting little babies.
Our mothers should be very careful who they entrust their male or female children .

You already know the after effect of your decision,so why go ahead? Why do you want your children to undergo through the stress of being SS. Are you also ready to bear the sleepless nights, the expense it will incur and the rest of it?
FamilyRe: Why Children Of Strict Parents Turn Out To Be Worse by joyblossom(f): 5:28pm On May 26, 2020
Do not blame your dad because of the wrong lifestyle you choose to live. Because all he did should have helped sharpen your life towards some aspect of your life. Sometimes we children think that our parent are strict and overprotective not knowing that they are really doing us a great favour. I grew up in a family where my dad was so strict that i also felt like going astray, but i came to realise that my dad did a great favour in my life, if not i would have messed up my life in a big way.

I think your sister should talk him into getting an apartment even if it's within the vicinity if at all he doesn't want to relocate elsewhere. I advise you don't stay in the family house because there are things you won't be able to tolerate.

I don't know why some Nigerians are just so retarded in their thinking..The fact that she rejected his friendship doesn't warrant an insult and perhaps she has her reasons for saying NO. Perhaps that is an intrusion of privacy without her consent. He should have done it the right way

Alejob:
thanks so much and nice write up.

If and when you see someone into you, shock or hit them with that fact from the get go.... Something like, you know there is something about me you need to know.....i am not too good with expressing myself like an average person, I eat my words most time, though I am doing my best to get better..... Or something more positive or better constructive than that...when you let it out from the get go, the person involved will know there is work to be done and will be in his or her toes to keep you in the bright side ..... That if you really care and want to keep the friendship cos sometimes your mouth is better locked than open. Show you care with your actions and many will overlook your shortcoming

I call myself the boldest shy man alive.... Will dig out one of my write up and I tagged why shall I shy

SHYNESS
SHYNESS
A self defeat from within
Comes over you and makes you loose control.
Someone smiles at you
Probably because of your good look
The shyness in you mistakes it for a jest!
Because times without number you have failed
To make yourself believe the fact that you are good looking
All because the shyness inside of you
Only has room for weak self confidence
Causing you to often times taunt yourself
With unpleasant comments about your look
Walking down the street,
Someone stares at you, like they always do.
Taking aback by your natural beauty
But deep inside of you,
Another conflict of the mind has just started
Mistaken the stare for another minus
Though you never knew what your admirer sees
But for your weak self confidence
Coupled with your poor hygiene
You give-in to shyness
And for yourself you won another bad day
Shyness and low self esteem will rule world
When you still see human as mighty
Worshipping their image in your heart

Forgetting you will never get better than your idol
What kills you in facing a crowd?
When the crowd is made of human
And like you too,
They have their individual weaknesses
Looking frankly at you when you stand before them
Only makes you their teacher; and
Them your students expecting to learn something from you
Pray your self composition into place and
Deliver your mouth from its locking keys and
With a relaxed mind,
Give the best presentation ever heard
Before you know it,
You’ve done what most onlookers
Will fast before attempting to fail
Because the “in thing” which is self confidence
Has long been taken away by shyness

LAUGH
Laugh
It is a pity that many do not know,
What laugh is up to
When you laugh,
You look so good and
With a laugh on your face
You are your handsome best
A laugh can be captivating
With a laugh,
Lovely friends keep coming your way
A laugh brings lovely suitors
Medical research also have it that
People who laughs,
Have longer life span than those who do not
So why won’t you put a lovely smile on your face
It does not cost much to laugh
Do not because of your present situation
Wear a worried and unfriendly look because
Everybody simply has an issue
Remember that laugh brings peace to a troubled mind
It brings favour from where you never expected it
Laugh wipes away sorrow,
Cleanse the mind and brings reassurance
When you are happy,
Put a glowing smile on and
When you are sad
Always remember to put a lovely smile on your face
With a laugh,
You will get the world at your feet

CareerRe: 11 Things Nurses Don't Like Hearing by joyblossom(f): 6:53pm On May 18, 2016
[quote author=nairalanddotorg post=45736390]Nurses are often commended for having
‘the patience of a saint’, for our
bottomless supply of kindness and
willingness to work all the hours under
the sun… of course, it’s never quite as
simple as it seems.

Nurses are human too, and just like
everyone else, little things we hear
every day can get under our skin. When
we hear them a few too many times, it
starts to itch…
So, just what should you never say to a
nurse?

1. ‘So why didn’t you become a doctor?’

Never say this to us. Never. Whether
you’re trying to imply that we’re smart
enough to make it through medical
school, or the opposite… it doesn’t
matter.
Nursing and medicine are two
completely different jobs and trust us,
we wouldn’t be nurses if we didn’t want
to be.
We’re definitely not in it for the money,
anyway – not when the Government is
giving us a 1 per cent pay rise and
keeping 10 times as much as that for
themselves…

2. ‘Nurses just help the doctors out,
right?’

No, not quite.
Doctors make decisions based on the
information we give them because we’re
around our patients the whole time,
monitoring them, talking to them,
observing them, whereas doctors nearly
always have somewhere else to be and
something else to do.
It isn’t that we help the doctors, it’s that
we make it possible for the doctors to
do their jobs at all.
When something goes wrong… who do
you think is going to be next to you
first?

3. ‘What’s happening to…?’

Think about it for a moment. Would you
want us to go telling your neighbour all
about your medical care? I doubt it.
Please don’t ask us: we can’t possibly
explain, and having to tell you that is
slightly embarrassing… if not for you,
then definitely for us.

4. ‘Can you score me…?’

Just because you’ve seen Gregory
House mainlining vicodin like it’s water,
and Nurse Jackie slipping oxycodone
into her scrubs pockets… doesn’t mean
that’s what healthcare professionals
can actually get away with.
Not to mention the fact that it’s more
than just a little bit illegal. (Yes, we
watch those shows too. Apparently, we
just can’t get enough of it…)

5. ‘Anyone can be a nurse.’

Yep, anyone can make it through a
numeracy exam and a formal interview
before even being offered a place at
university.
And anyone can to get through three
years of university education, spending
50 per cent of their course doing the job
of a nurse, while collecting a bursary
that might barely add up to a third of a
qualified nurse’s salary.
16 things only student nurses will
understand
And anyone can do that while also
writing essays and revising for exams,
before getting character references to
prove they are in fact a good enough
person to enter this workforce that’s
being cut left, right and centre despite
the opposite being needed.

6. ‘I mean, all you do is empty urine
bags and bring dinner, right?’

Well, no – there’s also the handling of
controlled drugs, measuring what your
vital organs are up to, looking out for
things going wrong. And if they do,
knowing what to do about it if there’s
no doctor around.
Someone will be watching over you
24/7, making notes, ensuring that
everything is documented so that no
matter who’s in charge of the next shift,
everybody knows how well you’ve been,
how well they should expect you to be,
and how quickly to react if something
seems to be changing.
If there was one right thing said on
Nurse Jackie, it was this: ‘Doctors
diagnose. Nurses save lives.’
Sure, the doctors do a lot of hard work.
But they make their decisions based on
what we tell them.

7. ‘What’s taking so long?!’

Any number of things: the other patients
that you’re here on the ward with. A
phonecall from a concerned family
member. A visitor asking if they can
take their relative off the ward for some
fresh air and a coffee.
Making notes about your care.
Concentrating on making sure I don’t
give someone the wrong kind of drug or
the wrong amount.
Again, our job is far more complicated
than it probably looks!

8. ‘Hellooooo, nurse!’

Yes, yes, the sexy nurse trope. We
know. But really?
Our uniform looks like pyjamas, and
we’ve just been cleaning your urinary
catheter.
Even if it wasn’t gross professional
misconduct to have a fling with a
patient who thinks we’re hot… we
probably don’t feel terribly attractive in
scrubs, and it’s very unlikely we’ve got
a thing for someone who we’ve seen in
that situation…

9. ‘Do you only date doctors?’

Whilst I’m sure it’s true that some
nurses get into relationships with co-
workers, those nurses who do feel
they’ve got the time and energy for a
relationship almost certainly don’t want
to be going home to someone they see
at work…
Who wants to hear about medicine over
breakfast, lunch AND dinner?

10. ‘Why don’t you just smile?’

We work long hours, we listen to the
things on this list every day, constantly
feeling like our profession isn’t
respected at all, and it’s been days
since we properly sat down with our
families.
We’re overworked and short-staffed,
and sometimes, we just want to sit
down and cry. But we keep on keeping
on…

11. And lastly… ‘I’m just a nurse…’

Yeah, that’s right. This one goes out to
all the other nurses out there.
If there’s one thing I hate hearing more
than anything else, it’s nurses putting
themselves down.
Exhausted nurse sums up what many
NHS workers think of Jeremy Hunt
We slog all hours of the day, we do the
seven-day-service that the government
is trying to ‘introduce’, we work hard for
our patients and their families and
carers, and we work weird shift patterns
that interfere with our social lives.
It’s very possible that, in order to
ensure other people have the best lives
they can, we miss our own kids growing
up.
We are never ‘just a nurse’. We are
amazing!
