Politics / #endsars Phantom Massacre by Joylove2324(f): 12:15pm On Oct 20, 2021
By O'seun Ogunseitan

I just discovered that my findings after my private investigations, interrogations and conclusions on last year's #EndSARS riots, tally with the views reproduced below from the wall of Abiodun Asimiyu Ladepo, today a Senior American Military Officer, and Great Uite I have known for some 40 years, who incidentally was also one of the very best among the exceptional group of journalists that made The Guardian the Flagship between 1983 and 1993.

On the matter Guns and Bullets, Biodun is one of those whose specialised training and decades of hands-on experience, make them know much more than those of us who only know what we have read and only understand about Guns and Bullets.

So, here below is definitely one informed conclusive opinion on last year's super destructive #EndSARS protests and violent riots:

#EndSARS...the Itch and the Scratch
1. Where is the list of those "massacred" on Lekki bridge?

2. Where are the names of their family members who ASCERTAINED that they were at Lekki that day and have reported them missing since they were massacred?

3. Where are their home/work/school/church/mosque that have reported them missing since they were "massacred"?

4. What are their social media names and handles that have gone inactive since they were "massacred"?

And...the real questions to which I want answers...

1. Who sponsored the #EndSARS protest?

2. Who egged them on with financial, food and other items?

3. Who stood to gain if Lagos State burned?

4. Who participated in the burning of Lagos State's buses?

5. Who scapegoated Tinubu and incited the mob to attack his properties?

NB: My very first reaction when I first saw the #EndSARS video (that first post is available on this Facebook) was to conclude that a "massacre" had occurred. But hours after that first post, I put on my expert hat. (Yes, after more than 25 years of shooting guns and being in multiple conflicts zones, I AM an expert on how guns sound and what bullets do to people when hit.)

I reviewed the video again and didn't see anyone REACT to being hit by a bullet. I went to the office the next day and got my colleagues...combined years of gun and bullet experiences more than 300 years..we didn't find any REACTION to being hit with a live bullet.

I put the video on an equipment and slowed it down to a crawl, looked harder and harder. No evidence of anyone REACTING to being hit with a live bullet.

Then I called two people...one of them (on Facebook in a pseudonym) reading this. One is a key member of government and a long-term friend who will NEVER lie to me. The other WAS (he's retired now) a senior member of the military who WOULD know if a massacre occurred anywhere in Nigeria and would NOT lie to me. Neither knew that I called the other.

The first person told me right away that no massacre occurred and told me details of what happened...as friends. I believed him. I had to believe him. We go way back. He would NEVER lie to me on an issue like that.

The second person told me he would double check some things and get back to me. He got back to me within the hour and said there was no massacre. I believed him. By virtue of his position, he would know.

Based on my own expertise on the job that I have been doing for many years; based on opinions of other colleagues; based on equipment verification, and based on the trusted conversations with REAL personal friends, I concluded that there was no "massacre" at Lekki...the definition of Massacre being "an indiscriminate slaughter of MANY people." Emphasis mine.

Did someone die at Lekki? Probably.
Did someone get trampled? Probably.
Did someone get wounded? Probably.

Should the military have been deployed?
I am a vehement opponent of using the military to quell civil unrests because most militaries are trained to NEUTRALIZE threats quickly. It's a base instinct ingrained in them by training and practice. But #EndSARS was a protest against police brutality. Sending the police there would just have inflamed tempers even more.

Like Biodun hinted above, I, O'seun Ogunseitan join in asking if it could be that some persons wanted a different outcome worse than what happened with their last year's #EndSARS protest.

They had better accept it that they failed and they will always fail.

Eko o ni baje. Nigeria si ma to. Nigeria si ma dara ju bo se ri leni.
(Lagos will not spoil. Order will still tetirn to Nigeria and our country will yet be better than it is today.

Politics / Alert: False Claims Ahead Regarding Tinubu And Vp Osinbajo by Joylove2324(f): 10:01pm On Oct 19, 2021
There are plans by agent provocateurs to spill penchant lies meant to cause disaffection between the Vice President Prof Yemi Osinbajo and Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu all in a bid to demarket both of them.

This attempt would come through some political news stories that would spew falsehood insinuating a breakup between the former Lagos governor and the Vice President.

In particular the sponsored press report would suggest that Asiwaju is avoiding the VP or that the VP has not visited the former governor or showed empathy while he was recuperating in the UK recently.

All of these is false and untrue. Like Senator Ojudu stated last week both the VP and the former Lagos Governor belong to the same political family and would remain so going forward.

Ignore all the fabricated lies!

[s][/s]Some of We Yorubas are saying no to Osinbajo presidency in 2023 because it has always been Ogun state. Why? Is Ogun the only state in the South West? Awolowo, Obasanjo, Shonekan, Babafemi Ogundipe, Diya and Osinbajo are all from there.

Enough is enough. Let's give others the opportunity to shine too.

STATE HOUSE PRESS RELEASE

UNITED AS ONE PEOPLE, NIGERIA WILL OVERCOME PRESENT CHALLENGES, SAYS OSINBAJO

*Interacts with staff of Nigeria High Commission in London

*VP adds: FG will strive for fairness & balance

“If you look at all of us sitting here, we represent all the geo-political zones. This is the Nigeria that will succeed, anything else doesn’t make sense,” according to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, SAN.

He said citizens at home and in the diaspora should promote the message of one country, noting that “anybody who looks at how Nigeria operates will recognize that we are better off in this system, and that is the truth.”

The Vice President stated this on Saturday during an interactive session with top officials of Nigeria’s High Commission in the United Kingdom, held at the Abuja House residence of the High Commissioner in London.

According to the VP, “Yorubas are not better off on their own, Igbos are not better off on their own, the North is not better off on its own. We are better off as one nation, that is why we are strong and that is why we can face the world.”

Still emphasizing the point about unity, Prof. Osinbajo noted that “everywhere in the world today, people are coming together to form stronger units, they are not breaking up, this is not the time to break up.

“If you read of the economics of smaller nations, they are looking for ways of how they can become stronger by aligning with other nations. How does a country with all the potentials and everything that we have, think that the best way is to break up?”

Speaking further, the VP explained that “we are at a point in time in our history where we have security challenges, we have economic challenges, and if you talk about security, there are so many dimensions to it.

“If you look carefully, all of these could happen to any government and I think we are in the very best position to solve the problems that face us today.”

“Security challenges that we have didn’t show up in one day but it is the government, the people, the men and women that will handle them.

“We happen to be that government, and I am very convinced that we are entirely capable of handling it. I think we are in the best possible position to solve these problems,” Prof. Osinbajo added.

In addition, the Vice President spoke about the popularity and credibility of President Muhammadu Buhari, identifying it as a crucial factor in galvanizing the entire system in resolving the challenges.

Said Osinbajo: “the President is possibly the most popular Nigerian politician that we ever had in generations. He is possibly the only person who can go into a place or somewhere without bossing people to gather and they will come and listen to him speak.

“We need that level of credibility to be able to solve problems in our country. And I think because of his level of credibility, despite everything, he is still the only one that can call everyone, and even people who do not necessarily agree with him know that he is a man of his words.”

The VP urged staff of the High Commission to remain good ambassadors of the country and endeavor to promote justice and fairness in their activities even as they make more efforts to promote government programmes and policies.

His words: “we must promote one country. But, of course, everybody talks about justice, fairness and balance, and that is what we must try to do on a continuous basis.

“Let us not be discouraged, let us be very confident because our country will come out of all these problems and emerge stronger.

“So, I urge every person who represents our country to ensure that we must represent the country well and be able to speak up at the right forum about the country and what we are doing.”

Commending the High Commissioner and top officials of the mission, the VP said “let me say first, how very pleased I am about the great report of developments here at the High Commission.

“And I agree entirely with the High Commissioner that clearly there is a demonstration here of high professionalism, and a desire to completely correct the image that might have been created about Nigeria. I want to really commend you and to say the news we hear about the High Commission is very commendable.”

Aside from the High Commissioner, Ambassador Sarafa Isola, other staff present at the meeting include the Deputy High Commissioner, Ambassador Sanni Suleiman, and the Defence Adviser, Brigadier-General Buhari Baffa, among others.

Politics / Why Osinbajo, Aregbesola, Fashola Didn’t Visit Tinubu In London by Joylove2324(f): 8:55am On Oct 10, 2021
The reason Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo; Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola; Minister of Works, Babatunde Raji Fashola; and others serving under Buhari could not visit the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu in London, where he went for medical treatment has been revealed.

Findings revealed that the presidential protocol barred any of the cabinet members to pay Tinubu a visit since President Buhari had gone to visit him.

It was gathered that Buhari’s earlier visitation, prevented Professor Osinbajo, Fashola and Aregbesola from going to London to visit the APC leader.

Speaking on the matter, Mr Sola Fasure, the Media Adviser to Aregbesola, said the minister was unable to visit Tinubu in London for protocol reasons.

Fasure said: “If the President has gone, no Minister, not even the Vice President, can go. Aregbesola’s relationship with Tinubu is mutually beneficial and reinforcing.

Tinubu and Aregbesola are in constant talk. The last time they talked, it lasted for more than one hour. There is no other reason for him (Aregbesola) not to visit Tinubu than just protocol.

“Anybody or group of persons who wants to make case out of the visitation issue is either ignorant or mischievous.

Anyway, I can see ignorance and mischief from some of the posts I read online concerning the visitation.
