Xiadnat:
Aw. What a sweet story. I commend the story really.

I don't know why this story is getting too much negative comment. I think I'm just way too innocent- cause I just really liked this guy's approach in seeking a partner. Jesus was tested and he was the son of God. We go thru tests all the time in life (spiritual tests, academic or vocational tests), why not a life partner?

Marriage is entered selflessly. You go in with the mindset to "serve" first and foremost. And, that's the "purest" form of love -

In reality though, I think we all should be putting our life partners to "test". Choosing a mate for life and of holy matrimony should not be threaded lightly. It is not what you call it that matters, it's your intention.

I cannot speak of this guys intention or motives, it is clear that he was doing his due deligience. It wasn't just about ass, boobs and external other features.

We can't pass judgement about what kind of husband this guy will be based on this story. He may have being in anguish the entire time she was sleeping on the floor or yelling at her or gave her insufficient money. We can't pass what kind of wife or woman she is or will be either. I hope she had her own "tests" for the guy too. I am sure she already knew anyway, and it was the guys' time to find out on his own "tests".

Anyway, two thumps up. Good story. I hope the couple are still going on strong and happy in their union.
@bold Mmmmmm, a different perceptive. I like!

I find this comment ironic and funny.

You called someone a toothless bulldog and the only person ranting here is you.

Who cares? Yet you cared to type such comments on his thread.

Strange indeed!

Guy, are you high on Oshogbo weedhuh or are you just an attention seeker? undecided

First of all, I'm not an atheist, I have made this clear, it's seems you just feel like tagging anyone to your list to satisfy yourself that you are indeed doing something sensible undecided

Secondly, What exactly is wrong with being an atheist cause I don't get the crazy obsession you got with them. People convert to different beliefs everyday, Muslim to Christian, vice versa, etc it's based on their personal conviction. So who are you to then impose people or try to make others convert to your own belief?

Finally, this is very childish. Get off your high horse and look for something to do instead of seeking for cheap attention. Please let this be the last time you tag me in your posts. Thanks in advance! smiley
Christianity EtcRe: Farewell To Nairaland. by joywendy(f):
Unique04:
I am a Christian, I cannot be in a forum where my God is being ridiculed by some persons including the founder of the forum. My Bible teaches me that, blessed is he who is not found in the company of the ungodly. I registered in nairaland last year after many years of visiting because I thought it was a forum to meet and interact with fellow Nigerians. I have suddenly come to realize that there is a conspiracy to ridicule the Christian faith and turn young Christians into atheists. I am a solid Christian and nothing can derail me from my faith, but I can't stand the number of baby Christians who get confused and carried away with all this Atheist and anti-christain posts I find on front page.
*modified*
I came to this conclusion after reading some of seun osewa's posts on Christianity.
With this I say farewell to all nairalanders.
lmao! grin grin

I find this hilarious!! Please you are free, as you leave make sure you deactivate your Facebook account, stop using the internet and go live inside a cave.

It's shows you ain't strong enough, those who want to be swayed will be swayed. If someone posts something about your religion which you don't like, then try to refute it and if it's getting too much you leave the person to their fate than taking it personal and claiming to leave. undecided

I see more religious topics than atheist topics on front page so what is your point?

Bye bye sha, awaiting your new monicker grin

This is my first time seeing that, maybe it has happened previously I don't know as I don't follow it regularly. That's the reason for my question....
RomanceRe: Mr. NAIRALAND Contest 2016 - Nomination & Verification Thread by joywendy(f): 4:40pm On Jul 02, 2016
Interesting....Is there any rule concerning those who are eligible to contest for this contest?

Like moderators and super moderators? or is it just open to anyone? 'cause if there is no rule then I feel it's foul play. My personal Opinion...

Just like an organisation setting a competition and then those in charge decide to partake as well. That might bring some kinda bias to the competition, unfair advantage over the rest unless they decide to be totally honest but that's not always the case esp. in a place like Nigeria. Infact it's very rare for such to happen...

So to Mr Dygeasy,Nljega and ko the question is for you....how do you hope to handle this? As I can see a Moderator under the nominees, I don't have anything against him as he is a very nice and good fellow just concerned about the bias and all that MIGHT take place as a result of him being in the competition...

Awaiting your response....smiley

Lmao . Until the atheists stop associating such with religion , we will never stop . Atheists have no moral compass and have the disposition to kill and be malevolent towards the religious . They are dangerous people and everyone should not overlook the warnings !

Honestly, I don't know you people keep tagging me to this kinda threads....I m not an athiest so undecided
Anyways No offence to the OP I feel like this is one of the worst thread I have come across on Nairaland....The assumptions are baseless and weak.

Anyone can be a killer, theist, athiest, pantheist,etc....A person who decides to intentionally hurt another person is devoid of belief and religion it's more of the person's mindset and personality...

Anyways someone has summarised all that, no need for stories. Who has killed more either theist or atheist is becoming a boring tale...una should give it up already. Jeez!

tell them dear. Lol. Awon hypocrites. What I don't understand is why gay issue tickle most Nigerians. Imagine, this thread is in the tenth page cos some hypocritical big mouths all have a righteous opinion when it comes to homosexuals. Pages not related to Gay issues die off in the third page. Too much obsession for something they claim they hate.
Exactly my brother!!!
The answer is quite simple many are repressed gays....grin grin
(I mean those who are obsessed with gay people)
Boko haram is there, rapists and pedophiles are there nothing is said about those ones. Yet When the word gay is mentioned the jump in like bush lions look for who to devour. They suddenly remember the Bible and feel like they are the most holiest.

I don't see anyone refuting what he posted, that alone says alot. At least what he said wasn't falsified or something.

He is against Christians blah blah shït, he is an athiest for petes sakes! he is not for any religion, why is that hard for people to comprehend?

FamilyRe: Total Friendlessness; What Are The Long-term Effects? by joywendy(f): 6:34pm On Dec 30, 2015
Hello Bornsad smiley

Thanks for the mention and am glad that I was able to influence you with the support of others here a way from your former state.

To your question, I think the answer to this doesn't have one particular answer and it varies to different people. And also what exactly you mean by term

what exactly do you mean by total friendlessness?

Do you mean not having friends both offline or online or not just having friends you can you associate with offline?

As per your question honestly i don't know what exactly to say here but I m sure it is totally linked with the saying that no man is an island. long term effects is obviously going to be terribly damaging, esp when you don't have anyone at all to call your friend. it can lead to severe depression and the rest. knowing the effects is not what you need now in my opinion it how to avoid the long term effects that should be the question.

Anyways I think you just need to be more opened to people around you, it may seem like you have a little problem with sustaining friendship with people in general.

There are some threads here on nairaland....dealing with friendships

like
