Lucario007: Lets see... matter of fact is that let's look at the proof and facts here.

Name: Aang
Age: 12 actually 112
Mastered the Elements: Approx. Six - Eight months.
Defeated Fire Lord Ozai.
Ended Hundred Year War.
Built Republic City.
First Avatar to Energy Bend.

Notable Tragedies: Lost All his family in Air Nomad Genocide, Last Airbender. Lost Connection to his past lives when shot by lighting.

Notable Enemies: Fire Lord Ozai. Combustion Man (deceased), Zuko (allies), Azula (defeated by Zuko).

Accomplishment Ratings: 65/100

Name: Korra
Mastered the Elements: 17 years.
Defeated Amon.
Defeated The Spirit of Darkness Vaatu in which only the First Avatar had accomplished.
Mastered Avatar State at 17.
Brought back Air-bending.
First Avatar to Metal Bend.
Second Avatar to Energy Bend.
First Avatar to have been Chi-blocked by Chi-blockers.

Notable Tragedies: Lost Bending Once, Lost Useless Boyfriend, Lost Connection to the past Avatar's Twice, Apparently Lost Father, Kicked out of Republic City, Grew up in an environment with mostly old people and was sheltered her whole life, and as of recent, Lost Ability to Walk.

Notable Enemies: Amon, Insane Bloodbender(Deceased), Vaatu, Spirit of Darkness (sealed) Order of the Red Lotus (Organization of hyped up on-steriods super-villains).

Accomplishment Ratings: 85.95/100.

Deal with it folks, Korra has both achieved and lost more than Avatar Aang. The facts don't lie.
Regardless of all her flaws, she has proven to actually be a very decent and good character. And she's way more mature than Aang.

REMEMBER: Aang is technically 112 YEARS OLD.
nice one. cool
i knew it was a good idea bringing you here wink

@bold. mako is not that bad now,

FamilyRe: Why Perfectly Good Husbands Are Being Abandoned by joywendy(f):
EnlightenedSoul: This is yet another sensationalistic posting filled with false and misleading information. At the top of the list is the long repeated myth that "50% of all marriages end in divorce." This erroneous statement from the mid 1980's has been disproven so many times that any posting that uses it is either using it for the sensational value, or has not done the proper research (most likely both). A simple research-oriented google search blows it out of the water.

This myth is based on a statistics from a couple of years where the divorce rate was 1/2 of the marriage rate. The main year used is 1981 (the first year this anomaly occurred). It has also been shown that the divorce rate in the US peaked in 1981, and began to decline after that (as did the marriage rate).

The other source of this myth is speculation - several sociologists used the data from the very early 1980's to project that: "If this trend continues, 50% of marriages will end in divorce." but again, the data does not back up the assumption that these projections came true.

Additional studies have shown:
- 72% of adults are still married to their original partner (or lost their partner due to death)
- 81% of college graduates over 26 years of age, who wed in the 1980s,
were still married 20 years later
- 65% of college graduates under 26
who married in the 1980s, were still married 20 years later. These studies are from Wharton School of business, NORC at University of Chicago, and other institutions.

A New York Times article in 2005 stated "the percentage of all marriages that eventually end in divorce peaked in
the United States at about 41% around 1980, and has been slowly
declining ever since, standing by 2002 at around 31%". Since then it has held steady around 30% to 34%.

Additionally, the writer of the article should really provide some cold hard proof on divorce papers being handed out because "Hubby was caring, he was simply too good a man". In the real world, the leading causes for divorce are:

Infidelity
Poor communication
Financial problems
A lack of commitment to the marriage
A dramatic change in priorities
Failed expectations or unmet needs
Addictions and substance abuse
Physical, sexual or emotional abuse
Lack of conflict resolution skills.

Finally, it's interesting to note that contrary to the decline or "leveling" of the divorce rates for all other demographics, there's a particular demographic that has doubled it's divorce rate in the last 10 years. Can you guess who they are? The over 50's! Food for thought...
wow! shocked shocked
Intresting...
Saving this for future purposes. grin

TV/MoviesRe: Avatar; The Legend Of Korra.... by joywendy(f): 10:43pm On Aug 26, 2014
macof: Korra in a wheel chair shocked how did that happen?

I always liked Korra, she could fire bend(or was it earth bend..maybe both undecided) when she was still in diapers

but to me right now, Aang is better than her, Aang had too much pressure right from the first minute of his avatarship, having to deal with the entire fire nation and the loss of his entire race, such pressure on a young child is too much.
Korra isn't fighting armies here, jst some individuals(terrible strong ones tho)

Yh I guess we can call that flying
some individuals? The same individuals that can wipe off a nation? Come on, give her some credit. It took aang over three seasons to get to ozai.
Technically aang isn't 12 but 112 grin
Korra has also gone through a lot even more than aang. Do you know what it means for her to lose all her past lives?she's is the first avater to mental bend even aang couldn't do that and many others which I can't start listing here

She got poisoined. Read from here grin
UjSizzle: lol S3E13
She was poisoned by the red lotus and even though Suyin was able to get it out of her body(poison's made of metal), it had already stayed in long enough to cause some damages.
So now apparently Korra needs time to heal properly and the girl is feeling broken.
What's left? Where?
In the cave where she was held with the other captured air benders.
grin

lol! What did she do again?
TV/MoviesRe: Avatar; The Legend Of Korra.... by joywendy(f): 9:52pm On Aug 26, 2014
Fulaman198: Book 3 just ended and Korra is in a wheelchair, I feel for her.

In any case, in my opinion, I did not like Korra at first for her brash spoiled attitude. But over time she truly did mature and she is an amazing character now. I actually think she is more powerful than Aang because she can metal bend and took on much tougher opponents than Aang.

Aang was a cool character his speed was something else as an airbender watching him run in one episode. However, as a 12 year old it took him too long to gain mastery over all elements (especially earthbending, just like it took Korra a long time to airbend). It would have been cool to see Aang be able to fly though like Zahir (Although wasn't he flying in his fight with Fire Lord Ozai?)
you took the words out of my mouth, I just finished watching that epsiode with zahir flying.
Aang wasn't really flying per se, he was using his air bending and remember he was in the avatar state.

nani667: Aang was a child.... Plus he had to learn all the bending in record time to be able to defeat the fire Lord... Korra had all the time in the world to learn all she needed to... Yet she's still useless.... She lost all her past lives.... She's no longer connected to the past Avatars.... She just keeps creating new records..... She's too useless.... Never compare Aang with that weak babe abeg...

Amon and all the people you mentioned are people an avatar should dispatch quickly.....

temi4fash: I don't have a problem with whatever he says.. But his delivery is usually what I am concerned about. If Tymix would judge you even after a woeful performance he doesn't just open his mouth and says what ever comes to his head. Uncle ben is doing is job, he is a teacher so he has to push them all very hard if he wants to achieve results. what some pple learn in a year or more. u learning under 2 mnths, u don't expect him to start smiling with them. After all those trainings and rehearsals I feel d least the judges can do is even if they are woeful let them know they can do better not make them look like dai killed somebody. And by d way if adele is life in concert and she is crying and singing I can tell you her fans will be fainting and see it as a position of strength and not weakness. And even make her fans love more cos they wuld feel they connected to her emotional side.
good you said it well. Uncle ben is doing his job so are the judges. You don't expect the jugdes to be like the faculty praise you outside and crticize you inside. Me am saying he should have appreciated her work first before saying what he wanted to say.anyways I don't think there was another way to put it that wouldn't have sounded sentimenal, remember there are other people who have musical ears and are watching this. That's how judges do their thing, do you watch x factor and american idols? Do you know simon cowell? His comments are extremely harsh attimes and its very hard to please him.But he means well,So he was been sincere with her the competition is fierce.

See there is a difference, this is adele we are talking about here. Even if were going to cry she would do it professionally not like debbie's.

I'm every tired of typing, upon everything the man is making money and we are here talking about what he said
TV/MoviesRe: Mtn Project Fame Season 7.0 Official Thread by joywendy(f): 7:31pm On Aug 25, 2014
chibyksveejay: guy..., I don't think yhu get wat ur saying, she ended d song b4 she started crying. Ade Bantu said it was nerves.... Sum1 cried at d end of a performance, Hw does Dat have to do with nerves?
First of all, I'm not a guy
Secondly, please how many times did you watch the performance?
if you watched it once then you were not, sorry to say really observant.
Thirdly, debbie was already on the verge of tears before she finally broke at the end. She didn't finish the song well I repeat! Listen to it again and you would understand, what I'm saying.
Fourthly, ade bantu didn't only talk about her nerves but also about some other things which you also didn't observe.
Finally, I don't see anything really wrong in what he said, except the fact that he didn't appreciate the fact that she actually started well and just went ahead to criticize. I have seen worse comments from uncle ben.
Talking about this won't change the fact that he is still getting his money for his job.

TV/MoviesRe: Mtn Project Fame Season 7.0 Official Thread by joywendy(f): 1:31pm On Aug 25, 2014
Seriously I don't know why everyone is complaining of Ade bantu

He simply said the truth and the truth hurts, she was singing well and all of a sudden she started crying. She didn't end well at all and you expect the guy to open his hands wide and say 'debbie you are wonderful' this was her comfort zone and her biggest moment to shine more than before but let her emotion guide her.I know. It's not easy, not to get over emotional with a song that why she has good people to show her the way and help her

It doesn't work like this in the music industry, you need to learn the art of controlling your emotions. How would you feel watching a video of adele and towards the end she justs start crying and singing in tears. Would you like that? Even if you enjoyed the song at first, you won't really enjoy it again and you would start to think. What happened? They couldn't cut this part out? Who is the director? Then you would start to shift blame.
Yes what he said was harsh but it was true, though in my opinion he should have said something like'it was okay at first but then what happened?' Than just going straight to the point. If it were uncle ben he would have probably said worse.
Let's leave sentiments aside and be factual. This one of the things killing us in this country,we let our sentiment cloud our judgement.

I also didn't like their 'HAPPY' rendition. I feel it was clumsy and uncoordinated.
shocked shocked broke his knee? Gosh that's bad, please explain the fall from where? How?
Seriously, I love that song so much, they just came to spoil it. If phrallel williams should listen to their version he would be sad and not happy.

jasmine21: Yeah! Exactly. Ade Bantu capitalized on d last part forgetting she delivered d song smoothly. Anyway Debbie really does work hard and she tries her best. Even if she leaves d competition at this stage, she has really tried and I'm happy for her.
Its not easy singing other pple's song and being judged 4 it.
@bold not smoothly almost smoothly till she started crying. she works too hard on herself. she's good though.

Lol! Zoelife!

Okay I didn't explain why I said the model
1. The colour seems very dull on her compared to the model.
2. I sincerely don't like the colour combination. Esp. The green purse, another colour for the purse like black would have been better.
3. It makes her look bigger than she actually looks.
4. Bad posture.

Apart from that her make up looks okay. smiley
