FamilyRe: Are You Feeling Suicidal? Come Here First! (part 2) by joywendy(f): 9:25pm On Aug 12, 2014
Ariyke: babes of course u are truly my new found friend bt u knw at times u need to see with friends to cheer u up
thanks I appreciate the kind words smiley
Mmmm...not very true, someone like me I don't have friends around the friends I had in secondary school I lost contact with some and some left the country just a few I have left from secondary school and a few I have in uni at present , the only way I communiate with them is through social media and some times phone calls or text. When I feel down, I just chat with one or two of them and they cheer me up. Though I would like to see them and discuss at large but what can I do? Do I have to start travelling to different part of nigeria because I want to talk to someone? No, it just a waste of time and resources. They say 'if you don't have what you want, you make use of what you have to get what you want'. So cheer up girl and if you really need someone to talk to like face to face don't forget your family members are still there.Hope is not lost, remember that. smiley

oh girl I know how you feel. Sorry about that it happens attimes. No friends? What about me? smiley
Just let it out and talk to someone. I am always there just in case you need someone to talk to. Take care
FamilyRe: Is Unconditional Love Practical In Marriage by joywendy(f): 8:17pm On Aug 12, 2014
brilapluz: i tink he is entitled to his own opinion about love but in some cases many confuse lust with love or maybe he doesnt understand the REAL MEANING OF LOVE AND LUST.

false...one introduces the other...in this case love begets respect...i give u an instance,if you dont love your parents, its obvious that you will surely disrespect or disregard them..

LOVE--before i define the word love,be reminded that LOVE has a variety of related but distinct meanings in different contexts but the LOVE that concerns our discuss is TRUE LOVE...is love you have for a person whom you are deeply committed and greatly VALUE !
RESPECT--1.admire (someone or something) deeply, as a result of their abilities, qualities, or achievements. 2.esteem, admire, think highly of, have a high opinion of, hold in (high) esteem, think much of, appreciate, CHERISH, VALUE, TREASURE

N.B--i never said love and respect are the SAME!
of course he is entitled to his own opinion. Probably he does and probably he doesn't. What is then the difference between the two?
First of all, you are looking at this from one perceptive, it is very possible to respect someone you don't love. The case between a student and a teacher can be used as an example. A student can hate a teacher but still gives him/her respect. Just so that he/she can probably just have good grades and all. Would you say that love is neccesary here? What of the case between an empolyer and employee?

You haven't defined love to me. You defined true love not love. You used the word I ask you to define to define what I didn't ask you to define. Mind you we aren't talking about true love here but unconditional love according to the thread. If true love is what you say then true love itself can fade which most people would argue that it isn't true. Good you defined respect well, so you agree that respect has different definitions?
If you are not saying that love and respect are the same then why are the words admire and cherish both synonymous with the word love in bold font?
So I ask again what is love? Please don't go round the bush, just hit the nail on the head. Thanks
FamilyRe: Advice Needed! Am I So Picky As Regards To This Issue? by joywendy(f):
jaybeyblu: Hmn 80 missed calls was better I said he called me none stop for a whole week, heaven would bear me witness. 2am when I wake Up to go to the bathroom my phone is ringing, it was scary my phone was useles for 1 week cos it was always ringin. When I confided in my colleagues at work they were laughing and one was even telling me that I am overeacting that when her man refused to pick she called and gave him over 70 missed calls but he dumped her sha! Later on when I finally picked I told him how can I leave my phone for few mins and get back and I see 80 missed calls does it seem normal to u? He told me that because he is" very very emotional" that's why that for that one week he cldnt eat he wld be bathing with one hand and d other hand he is holding his phone trying to call me!My luck was I never disclosed my house to him, I knew he is a psycho but my friends are thinking I am overeacting hence my coming here. Thanks to you all for your contributions. It really made my day. God bless u!
psycho is an understatement, it is pure obsession not love.
Lolz emotional ko, emotional ni. I know a guy that is very emotional and he doesn't behave like this. Being emotional doesn't mean you should call a person every second it just shows joblessness.
I personally don't like it when someone calls me continuously. If you call me once and I don't pick, am probably not with my phone. If you call the second time, and I don't pick then my phone was probably on silent, and i forgot to change it back to general. But if you try the third time, forget it! I'm probably very busy to remember that I have a phone. Talk less of 80 times? You chop craze ni? Girl you try oh, I hail! Lol. Please ehn tell your friend that said she will call her bf 70 times that she needs help and she should not forget to visit the hospital for proper check up. Please advise your friends too, if they are still desperate they can take the guy. Na wa oh for some people and the way they think.
You are welcome smiley

FamilyRe: Is Unconditional Love Practical In Marriage by joywendy(f): 6:38pm On Aug 12, 2014
brilapluz: I believe dat person is not taking love in its entirety... u cannot love someone that you can't respect....love comes with respect....!
exactly what I was saying but he said that love itself doesn't exist that the love we see now is lust and not love. True but you can respect someone you don't love. True or false?
First of all, what is love and what is respect?
PoliticsRe: General Hospital, Kuje Designated As Ebola Centre - Minister by joywendy(f): 6:20pm On Aug 12, 2014

FamilyRe: Right Handedness VS Left Handedness. by joywendy(f): 6:49am On Aug 12, 2014
GentleMimi: You hate people who are left-handed? Talk of ignorance, this is the height of it. I hope u will not kill any of ur kids who show signs of it. They did not create themselves that way, their Maker deemed it so.

@ Topic,i heard they are usually intelligent. It would be pure wickedness on the part of a parent to force that kid into using his right hand,as aginst natural use of left.
Don't mind him, he doesn't know anything. He will be part of those people who will force his kids to use right hand.

i have heard of many cases of parents forcing their children who are born with using their left to force them to use their right. it's a normal thing here in Nigeria unfortunately.

mmm....i once had an argument with someone over this love topic.

he said that it is possible for someone to love a person without giving the person much respect.

if it is then i guess that is what is missing in the story above. respect!

if it aint then undecided

i don't know sha, the topic is quite confusing at times.

EducationRe: The Worlds Top 15 Conspiracy Theories Of All Time. by joywendy(f): 3:17am On Aug 12, 2014
rexkexmilan: 14. Who really wrote the plays of
Shakespeare?:

Since there is very little historical
information about Shakespeare, conspiracy
theorists believe that the actor could not
have possibly written the plays but rather
was used as the author to cover up the real
identity of the brilliant poet. Many believe
that Shakespeare himself could not
have had the education to write such
profound works. That the most plausible
author could be either Christopher
Marlowe, Ben Johnson, Francis Bacon or
Sir Walter Raleigh.
mmmm......there was also a theory that Shakespeare could be a woman,

cococandy: The thing is terrible. I've almost given up on the preaching self esteem thing. Because the more one does, the more it seems as if you don't want others to marry.
The desperation is real. And you see pastors cashing in on the desperation to swindle my beautiful naija sisters.

sow a seed for a husband.

Fast and pray this year shall not pass you bye
Any evil standing in the way of your marrying this year die by fire.

Wear a wedding gown to church next sunday by faith and you'll meet your husband.

See evidence.
I used to wonder if such story billboards/signposts were made up by comedians to make us laugh until me and my SIL one day decided to prank call and find out if it's true. And a real pastor picked up the call to convince us how God has been using him to give sisters husbands.
I couldn't hold my laughter grin grin

I guess he realized we were just messing with him when we kept asking him searching questions.
omg!!
are those pics for realhuh
cant stop laughing! ROTFLMAO! grin grin

mmm....i hate to admit but he actually brought out some points. if you have answers to any of the questions, you can educates us.
@ op it doesn't change the fact that we still have to be careful whether it is here or not.

like seriously? shocked. so some people actually believed this thinghuhThis is a serious matter, out of ignorance some people committed suicide without knowing angry angry Now i know the educational sector in Nigeria is messed up. Both the formal and informal, we need a revolution! So many educated illiterates in Nigeria, i don't know why people are panicking over this ebola issue. The truth is the more you focus on a thing the worse it becomes, as long as you know the prevention and symptoms you should be okay. There should be more awareness on the prevention and symptoms especially in rural areas like villages an the rest.
Anyways R.I.P to the dead and i pray those hospitalized quick recovery.
