So how are you sure this particular appointment wasn't based on religion and ethnicity especially when the next most senior officer was from Bayelsa and we all saw how they played politics by illegally extending former IGP Adamu's tenure.
Everybody saw how they dribbled the then DSS director from Bayelsa till power fell on Osinbajo and he did the needful only for the man to be retired for a more "competent" Director from a section of the country.
We should keep on giving excuses for nepotistic posturing of the people at the helm of affairs till the nation tumble to the point of no return, then maybe we will all learn to balance power in a multi ethnic and multi religious society as ours.
Did you bother to find out how Ijaw Bayelsians got to the top in most of our security architecture?

Do not take people boasting about IPOB's capabilities against the NA seriously. They too know the truth. An army that has been able to restrict the second most powerful Islamist group to some local government in Maiduguri is not an army to be taken lightly. Less powerful Islamist groups are wrecking uncontrollable carnage in Mali and other Sahel countries o.
I agree the way you put it, it is the height of sickening ignorance when a group of drug addicts with fetish powers think they are up to the NA, it makes me shudder how IQ value has dropped so drastically in this country, the disgusting part is comparing themselves with ISWAP & Boko haram, most saddening is that some of these deranged sub-humans are regular visitors on this thread.

ISWAP & Boko have several advantages no insurgent in the SE has which is Geography.
ISWAP has freedom to operate in 4 countries, having space is the best leverage every adversary needs to prolong a war. As you move about in your space, you avoid your adversary, you gain access to supplies, you enjoy ambush & several hit & run tactics, SE hasn't that Luxury & Ojukwu realized it very late, Ojukwu actually thought he could do more with Niger delta corridor but Alas reality dawned on him too late.

Nigeria wont fight these drug addicts with more than 2 battalions, the reason is very simple. SE is too small a space, NA TRADOC hasn't changed much from the last civil war so I expect the return of the "Choke" tactics. So the noise about opening another war front is mere idle talk. With advanced surveillance & aerial rapid response, they can achieve it with less.

Cut off Ebonyi/Kogi corridor, Abia/Akwaibom corridor, Imo/rivers corridor and choke everything inside, the civilian population will be so uncomfortable till they give up these guys, as months pass by, these blockade will keep collapsing to a point where these guys will be denied every freedom of movement, once you cant move freely, get resupplied, the battle is over, one thing is guaranteed, there will be so many collateral damage so those clapping for them should be ready, all is fair in Love & war, nobody is truly innocent.

You said external, fulanis are also nigerians. now i don't support the idea of destroying farms or killing property owners, but its odd to call nigerians external within their own territory. unless those fulanis are foreigners.
Nigerians have the right to live anywhere they wish to,within that country. Respecting the rule of law is what's lacking
Majority of Fulani militia are not Nigerians, the commanders of the Bororo & Toureg groups are Nigeriens & Malians.

To the hammer everything is a nail. Nigerians are very poor at learning from history, the army will only worsen things they proscribed and killed them when they were unarmed it didn't stop anything and you think a military intervention is the solution? Opening fronts all over the country when you have a full blown insurgency you can't seem to contain seem to be a genius approach. Let's see how far they will go with confrontations especially when they start attacking pipelines and the economic hub of the country.
You sincerely think an Ijaw man on his amnesty breakfast will allow an Igbo man much less a runaway goat from Afara-ukwu to destroy the pipelines? lol,
I want to make this clear, the next Biafra war will be between Igbos & Niger delta, that score must be settled in this lifetime.

We don see part 1,2 and 3 for the Nigerian army film and this confrontation with ESN would not be different...!!!
Let ESN taste what Boko tasted, if they can drag on for 12yrs then the comparison will become appropriate.

It will be very unwise for the government to fight back right now.... That is exactly IPOB's plan so that they can get the sympathy of the people and get more recruits. The best thing to do is to avoid them. The militants will soon start making mistakes and the local population that are sympathetic to them currently will soon start getting tired of them.
Tell that to the birds, we cant have low IQ drug addicts with Ak47 on our streets, it is reprehensible & unacceptable, you are free to keep them in your father's house or yours if you can afford one.

Those are different from what's presently going on with IPOB and ESN. In Zaki biam for example, it was a retaliation for the killing of about 19 soldiers by a militia group. What's happening today involving ESN is no agitation against the military. They got no business with the military, what they have business with is the fulanis and their rampaging herdsmen killing people on another man's soil. Biafra can't just sit and watch, that's why they set up ESN just like oduwa republic set up Amotekun. The ESN aren't killing Nigerian soldiers and will never commit such heinous atrocity.
How many law enforcement have been maimed so far? Do you really understand the job of the military? Fulani militia problem is a sub Saharan African problem, it is not peculiar to Nigeria let alone South east, infact we have had militia attacks in NW & NC more that SE, that excuse of picking up arms because of Fula militia problem is lame and baseless.

Agreed, it is the state's responsibility to provide security for everyone, however, the state will do that within the ambit of her capabilities, Nigeria hasn't provided Security for Bornu indigenes for 12yrs since their insurgency started, have they picked up arms against the state?
NW has nearly 6 active hotspots including Kaduna, have they picked up arms against the state?
You dont know what you are saying, very soon, you will understand that Fulani militia is a better enemy to the new one you just made, they are coming, you can cry Genocide later.

The video was edited. How come the corpse in that video looks like a week dead body?.. There is one thing I don't understand., if truly boko haram brought it down. Does that mean The jet fighter dont have missile alerts or missile flares to give the missiles wrong course, that's to tell u how antique the jet fighters Nigeria has been acquiring, and they will spend the money to buy properties in Dubai, and other places killing young Nigerian pilots. Terrible
Its a new capability boko hasn't had over 10yrs since the beginning of this war, therefore its normal if the jet didn't prepare for that, again like I said before, its one of those intel failures we discussed before, we got credible intel foreign terrorists are meeting on our soil, we got a location but we didn't get their capabilities,
If we did, that mission would've been called off!!
Once its called off mid air then you hear nonsense like "We nearly killed the terror leaders but our commander was paid hence he called it off.

The bastards just got lucky. With the air traffic in the northeast theater in the last 2 days, they would have attempted to shoot another one down if they were sure of the capability. It might be MANPAD, it might be AA guns either way, it shouldn't be much of a threat for NAF. They need only enforce high altitude flying as from now on.
Also, aircrafts should be sent on missions with countermeasures. MANPADs are no threat to the MI-35s.

And also, this is what you get when you want to do everything cheaply, most of the times they use cannons, rockets and dumb bombs to attack BH/ISWAP's high value targets and gun trucks with average results when missiles would do the work far more effectively and with minimal risks
Cost is everything in war of Attrition.

They had to demote him for miraculously escaping the trap sef....sabotage abound within the armed forces fighting the boko war and that's a fact..!!
Stories you said, most of which are BS, Gen. Adeniyi was responsible for his own intel as theater commander, if it failed, he doesn't need to embarass himself with any video.
Intelligence failure is normal in 3rd world militaries, absolutely normal.

There have been rumors of this here in the Northeast. Also rumors of Soldiers almost finishing of or closing up on terrorists only to be called by Superiors to withdraw.

But I try not to believe such rumors.
Its BS, those NCOs come up with craps most times, Boko doesn't need to pay a General or commander to Ambush troops, Ambush is integral in their assymetric strategy, we saw it in Iraq, Afghan etc, unless Alqaeda paid NATO commanders too.

What I think they suffer mostly is intelligence failure, as for asking them to pull out while on a near clearance mission, its normal world over, sometimes fresh intel show up in an ongoing mission which will pose a higher risk to the mission, what do you expect the commander to do?
Sometimes it could be as serious as heavy enemy reinforcement coming their way then an NCO says, oga said we should pull out when we could've finished the mission, what if you don't make it out alive after finishing them off?

Gunmen suspected to be bandits have reportedly invaded the camp of the Joint Security Task Force comprising of the Army, Police, Civil Defence and Vigilantes at Allawa and opened fire on them, killing an undisclosed number of soldiers in the process in Niger State.

An officer of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) was also killed in the attack while many security personnel sustained injuries.

They also abducted over 10 persons, stole seven motorcycles and burnt down military vehicles in attacks that happened on Wednesday and in the early hours of Thursday.

The communities attacked by the bandits are Allawa, Manta, Gurmana, Bassa and Kokki in Shiroro council.

Eyewitnesses said the bandits attacked Manta, Gurmana and Bassa villages on Wednesday, where they killed one Alhaji Sale in Madalla community and kidnapped four people.

Reacting to the incident, President, Shiroro Youth Movement, Mohammed Sani Idris, said the bandits, in 100s, were armed with AK47 and attacked the communities for about five hours unchallenged.

“During the invasion, they killed one Alhaji Sale in Madalla community under Bassa ward and kidnapped four people and went away with two motorcycles”

“Also in Kokki Boddo a community under Gurmana ward, they abducted six persons and took away five motorcycles, five people were also kidnapped in Manta ward,” Idris said.

And Osama didn't leave in Africa after 9/11

Osama lived in Sudan from 1992 -1996,, in 1996, he left for Afghanistan.

After the Russian Afghan war, the country was controlled by different warlords who carved parts for themselves to make money, they killed people and turned Afghans into slaves, the Mujahedeen who were former fighters in the war, saw the atrocities of the warlords and decided to create the taliban movement to bring back peace and human rights to Afghanistan. The taliban movement was headed by Mawlawi Abdul Samad and Amir and Mullah Omar who was the commander,( all Afghanis)they cleared the country of warlords and then gained political power to form the Taliban regime of Afghanistan. The Taliban movement was only interested in Affairs of Afghanistan and not in any outside affairs, their main goal was to bring peace to Afghanistan and to foster international relations with the US through the oil company UNOCAL.

Al Qaeda on the other hands are different from the talibans, Al Quada was an all-Arab camp created in Jaji in 1986, Al Qaeda comprises of only Arabs with their leader Osama Bin laden and Ayman al-Zawahiri( Arabs). Osama was the medium of training and sponsorships of arab college students who were willing to fight the Russians in Afghanistan, also he was willing to internationalize the struggle against the Russians and take it as far as Philippines, Al quada is like an Arab legion that can defend Muslim causes everywhere. So your notion that Al Qaeda are Afghanistan tribes is wrong.

Talibans are a nationalist movement and only Afghans could join, it was created for the survival of the Afghans people while Al Qaeda is an Arab group.

The United states lost the war not because of the terrains but because of the Taliban unity among themselves, many of the Taliban forces were experienced fighters who fought during the Afghan Russian war and also because muslims from around the world sent fighters to fight a muslim cause, the united states were fighting against different groups...very hard to win that type of war.
The foreign fighters that assisted the Mujahedeen from the Arab world mostly Saudi became Al-Qaeda, the Local Mujahidin fighters became the Taliban, stop confusing yourself.
Till US struck Afghanistan, Al-Qaida maintained a solid headquarters at Tora bora cave complex, it was the battle of Tora Bora that dismantled it.
Infact, Osama spent nearly a year there after 9/11 before coming to Africa then Pakistan according to US intel.

But it is amazing, how the Talibans were never defeated.

First the Russians fought them, the United states and the world fought them, they were never defeated.

This made me realise that you can't defeat an idea...now the United states wants to broker peace with the talibans through negotiations.

Why didn't they think about that in the first place, the lost of lives will have been averted.

The tamil tigers were another determined militant groups who have birth to sucide bombing, it is interesting that after 24 years, the former president of sri lanka was able to defeat them and you are right that the present battle is the battle of the mind and heart....it is very hard to defeat an idea.
Taliban is difficult to defeat not because of some celestial capabilities they possess, but because of the rough terrain and who they are, the Mujahedeen that later Morphed to Taliban / Al-Qaida were tribes men who occupied 3/4th of the Afghan population & mountainous terrains, so imagine a war you want to defeat two major Ethinc groups in Nigeria in an asymmetric warfare, it is gonna be difficult & its gonna take a long time.
The only way to defeat the Taliban will be to declare war on the whole country.

When Pakistan sold us the trainers, they leased some to us which we later returned, is there a possibility that AVM Sadique Abubakar made such deal with the JF-17?

Yes.Extradition between the UK and Nigeria is facilitated by a multilateral treaty, “The London Scheme for Extradition within the Commonwealth”. Nigeria is a Part 2 territory under the Extradition Act 2003,.

As for Diezani, her case is very complicated because she is a citizen of both nigeria, dominican republic and the uk.

Infact, she has a diplomatic passport for Dominican republic, were she was appointed Trade and Investment Commissioner for the Commonwealth of Dominica.

It is very difficult to arrest someone on diplomatic passport because of its immunity.
While you are correct about the treaty Nigeria signed with the UK on Extradition in 2003, there is a problem with that treaty, it hasn't been fully ratified in the UK, at least we know the Sec of state is yet to designate Nigeria under Sec 71 of the treaty.

What that means is that Nigeria MUST satisfy an extradition judge before such extradition happens. That is almost impossible, systemic issues like our prison conditions, human rights violations are enough to stop the extradition like the case of Ogunnowo.

Madueke was not a diplomat at the time Nigeria requested for her Extradition, so the diplomatic cover didn't count then, Efcc failed woefully to satisfy the Extradition Judge, that is always where it ends, Kanu wont be an exception.

A similar incident happened in the Uk, where an iman( Abu Hamza al-Masri) with dual citizenship ( Uk and Egyptian)incited violence, the united state government requested for his extradition, and he was extradited, now he is serving life imprisonment in US prison.

If Nigerian Government are serious about Nnamdi kanu, they would get him arrested or even make an interpol wanted call on his head.
US requested his extradition, Egypt won't have pulled it off, Nigeria hasn't pulled off Madueke let alone Kanu, it will amount to nothing.

If this unknown gunmen are ESN, I read a report about the fight Abba Kyari lead against ESN in a forest in orlu. He had to withdraw and call in the military for help.

But i will love to get an answer to this question. Why is the FG not asking the British government to deport Nnamdi Kanu? He is the one in charge of IPOB and IPOB has been declared as a terrorist group in Nigeria.

We can even tell the British to charge him for terrorism. Or is there no evidence the FG can use in prosecuting him?
Its easier for Mi6 to do the needful on him quietly than going through the rigours of extradition, "deportation" won't work on Kanu as a British citizen, perhaps Nigeria learnt her lessons from the Diezani Madueke's experience.

It is always abuse from abuse, if you don't disagree with someone can you simply write that you don't agree, which one is i am dumb, i don't believe in what i wrote, i am saying nonsense and all sort of rubbish, for your information, it doesn't make logical sense. Must you always show that you are aggressive and angry.

Back to the topic.

1) Boko haram had over 100k members, pls go to YouTube and check Muhammad yusuf preaching and then see the numbers of people listening to him, so it will easy to get 5k who wants to fight for the sect...Muhammed Yusuf was so popular that even your present minister of Technology ISA PATAMI interviewed him and was closed to him.

Was boko haram used as a means to get vote? Yes.
After election, the governor saw no use of them and then went against them, no wonder, they took up weapons, i still stand with my point, the police escalated the issue.

2) Boko haram and Al-Shabaab are 2 different groups with different ideologies and there was never a time they merge together, boko haram didn't come from al Qaeda, it was formed on its own since 2002 and idealogy was strictly the taliban method, al shabaab was formed in 2006 after the break down of the islamic court in somalia.

Learn to comprehend before commenting.

My comment was about bokoharam before they went the militant way.

They were just a religious group...the arms and men came after the killings of their members by the police.

Muhammad yusuf the leader of bokoharam was a former aide to Alhaji buji Foi former commissioner of religious affairs in bornu state.

Know that the police killed both of them unjustly which angered the sect.
I dont need to learn rubbish from you, they were a religious group then amassed military fighting capabilities over night? that line of thought alone is dumb!! are you dumb to believe that nonsense you wrote?
do you know what it takes to raise over 5,000 fighters, arm, train and get logistics supply routes in the middle of nowhere?
Boko haram has been planning and executing all these since while using their mosque as a cover for radicalization & recruitment.
They didnt do it for fun, they knew what they wanted and subtly built capabilities to achieve that, Whether or not you killed Yusuf is immaterial, so long as AQIM (Al-Qaida in the Islamic Maghreb) bifurcated in two since 2004, Al-Qaida announced they are coming for Horn of Africa & Lower Sahel, we knew two groups will be born, we know today they are Al-Shabaab & Boko haram.
Keep your nonsense to yourself, so if we didnt kill Yusuf then all the fighters, arms, logistics, training will be converted to praying items baa? They will just kiss & hug us, then peacefully live with us as responsible citizens baa? please use your head.
