komekn: You know the top speed of the A29 and you know the noise a turboprop aircraft makes giving you much more early warning.
Do you think the Boko guys will be waving welcome flags. I don't think they have very accurate and proficient gunners but they could get lucky considering the number of gun trucks with HMG. And that will be a $38 million➕ aircraft turned to rubble.
Hopefully the pilot will not be captured and used for murderous bloody deranged PR.
They are buying A29's for the Afghan Air Force but the USAF uses F35, F16 for CAS even more than the A10. Pray tell us how many Tucanos have been shot down in the manner you just described? You pull out a scenario from your Anus, type a million words to support the clap trap you ejaculated, over & over, then you settle for your own lies to pamper your Ego, something is definitely not right with you, I just cant place where the screw fell off from. You were told F-35 was supposed to retire the A-10, but it didn't, F-35 program was never a CAS program, but a JSF program, you just made up the former from the darkest part of your Anus, Do you really think you sound smart when you lie without reservations.? |

komekn: I have been consistently clear about my position.
But you in your attemp to contend with me you are agreeing with me, without even knowing it.
It has not won any experiment and that's why it's taken 7 years plus and continous. Without a conclusion.
If after 7 years of experimental assessment you are still undecided. And you call that HIGHLY LIKELY then you are being delusional.
The USAF don't use it for anything of significance.
Tell me what the BATTLEFIELD RECORD is of the A29 in the USAF. You are now imagining things.
Somebody is selling you something they don't use or sell to thier close allies and strategic partners.
I posted a verbatim statement by the head of the USAF and he made it intrinsically clear the purpose of the light attack turboprop aircraft experiment. Read it please and stop conjuring conjuring things from your imagination. Experiment funding was Approved in 2016, A29 orders arrived in 2019, AT-6 orders will arrive 2020, where did you get the 7yrs you have been harping on? |

komekn: You are inadvertently supporting my position.
If the USA truly believed in the efficacy of the A29 why would they have only 3 of these aircraft according to you, that's SHOCKING. When the USAF procures it procurers in hundreds not even in units of 10.
It's common sense that seems to have evaded quite a few here. if the USAF has only three, that in itself tells the story. Read my post again, this time, very slowly |

komekn: Take out Brazil because they make this aircraft themselves.
Look at the countries that you are using to give credence to the efficacy of this airframes. None of them are serious strategic partners of the USA and spend pennies on military expenditure. They are highly insignificant poor level associate countries.
Why did Isreal, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Qatar, UAE, Japan, South Korea, Canada and the entire NATO block as well as other European countries not adopt this aircraft as the best COIN aircraft.
Finally, how many A29 does the USAF have l confess to exaggeration it's nowhere near 30. Which is a paltry number by USAF standards. US is experimenting using A29 for close air support for Special operations in non contested airspace, it doesn't need to be bought in large numbers, the U27B is performing a support role for Special forces the US has it just 3, number purchased has nothing to do with the efficiency of the asset but purpose. |

komekn: I would add to what you have said using Turkey as a case study.
Turkey has proven beyond all doubt and raised the game. With its comprehensive wiping of the Syrian army in a matter of days. Primarily anchored on its UAV'S.
The Assad regime suffered heavy losses as a result of the drone campaign: 3,000 soldiers, 151 tanks, eight helicopters, three drones, three fighter jets (including two Russian-made Sukhoi Su-24s), around 100 armored military vehicles and trucks, eight aerial defense systems, 86 cannons and howitzers, ammunition trucks and dumps, and one headquarters, among other military equipment and facilities. https://www.mei.edu/publications/fight-syrias-skies-turkey-challenges-russia-new-drone-doctrine
In addition these same drones have removed Haftar from his position of dominance to one of humiliation and retreat in Libya.
What I am saying is that UAV technology is changing VERY RAPIDLY the entire battlefield management and strategy.
UAV are the current FUTURE, with zero risk to pilots. Turkey has added another dimension electro magnetic warfare, as a consequence rendering the previously dreaded Russian pantsir air defence system effectively impotent.
The latest UAV by Turkey is the Akinci (Raider) which remains the most noteworthy asset of the next generation Turkish unmanned airpower. Produced by Baykar, the Akinci has a payload of 1,350kg of multiple precision weaponry.
Boko for now do not have anything to shoot down anything at high and even medium altitude so UAV technology will dominate unopposed. Which means Boko will struggle to operate and be very limited in what the can do. In 2018, Turkey deployed the same drones during operation Olive branch, what did it achieve differently?
This event you are mentioning was supported by aircrafts & heavy Artillery on the ground, in case you don't know, the Syrian Su 24 that was destroyed was an airport attack where a jet helped jam the air defense system before the drones penetrated, don't think the number you counted is a drone only success, it is not. BTW do you know what Turkish defence budget is? 10X Nigeria's so don't think 135 tank strikes came cheap. You are comparing apples with Oranges.

komekn: Look at how many UAV the USAF have and how often they are deployed.
Then how many light turboprop aircraft they have, don't think they are up 30. That in USAF means negligible and of very little significance and or value.
So the person you are buying the product from doesn't use it or value it. What does that make you who is buying it. You draw ridiculous conclusions, USAF has a dedicated platform for CAS the A10 Warthog, due to age, they wanted to upgrade to F35, congress refused, voted more money for A10's overhaul, yet they started experimenting on using turbo prop, the question is; why has Turbo prop become a battlefield necessity instead of getting more reapers?
All these have been shown to you yet you keep recycling garbage, do you want your lie to become truth because you say it over and over?
USAF has always had Turbo props as trainers, for some reasons they want to introduce them into combat, you should keep quiet & study that reason, instead of trying to sell a coffin on a military thread.

FieldMarshall06: Yes, you are correct about the Israelites and the Jews, but also remember that the State of Israel was created as "Home for the Jews".
Now, to justify why all Jews are home in Israel.
The ethnic Jews are the largest tribe of the 12 tribes of Israel. The other 11 tribes have different names, but all 12 tribes are Israelites and have their real home in Israel.
Spanish jews, American jews, etc, are all ethnic jews. They are spread out globally because of geographic branching, e.g, when some jews travel there and start a family, and their children also grow and expand have children children. So, Spanish jews like Netanyahu are real ethnic jews and they are also Israelites.
For those ordinary people who become Jews by converting to Judaism,,,,, they are attracted to Judaism because they were Jews in previous lives. In this life, someone may be Tunde in Nigeria or Ashley in France,,, but the only spiritual reason why they are attracted to Judaism and want to convert, is because they were Jews in one past life. ..
So, all jews whether real ethnic jews or religion converted jews are Jews, and have their home in Israel. The division is in this life and in the name, their Souls are Jews,,, and that is why even a converted jew will betray his original country for Israel. This is because, the Soul is a jew, but in this life, he has been born as a Christian in Belgium but the soul, still drawn to Judaism, might convert.
So, any Jew (converted or ethnic) is a Jew in soul. And is entitled to be in Israel, with other lost tribes, they all are Israelites, descendants of the 12 tribes of Jacob.
But I commend you, you are still correct and very enlightened.
Thanks Now you have made a mistake, The law of return aka implementation framework of the Balfour agreement guarantees that every Jew of the ancient bloodline is entitled to citizenship in the state of Israel, however, that privilege doesn't make them Israelites. The term "Israelites" belong to a particular Jew, (descendants of Jacob) sadly they haven't benefited from the law of return.
Amongst the 12 tribes of Israel, only 10 tribes have the traditional legitimacy to return, 2 tribes dont because they are a tribe of priests, not entitled to own lands.
So it is wrong for Komekn to allude that state of Israel has been at war since Biblical times because they are two different people. |

the comparison in inherently wrong. You are comparing descendancy with territory creation. The Balfour agreement is "the creation of a state" and cannot be compared "peoples' ancestry".
The Balfour agreement did not create people nor alter their ancestry.
The question is: Whose descendants are the non biblical israelis ?? Balfour relocated new people to the ancestry of another because they are the same religion. Benjamin Netanyahu is a Spanish jew occupying the land of Israelites (descendants of Jacob).
Netanyahu isn't a Biblical Israelite, he is a citizen of the State of Israel. Not all Jews are Israelites, not all Israelites are Jews, hope its clear enough.

Add to that the continous contention with Palestinian or if you like Philistines from day one and it seems will be indefinitely.
The land border wall is not more than 500 miles in addition they have deployed some of the nest technology known to man to keep it under continous observation.
Nigeria is country that it seems cannot afford to properly kit it's soldiers. Our combatants are going around in soft skinned pick up trucks.
We should consider the USA border wall is projected to cost over $22 billion. Essentially even if Nigeria could we don't have the money.
Finally, walls can be compromised tunnels built under them, climbed over or holes made in them nothing is guaranteed. . Israelites of the Biblical era & today's Israelites aren't the same people. the former were Hebrew descendants of Jacob while the later are product of Balfour agreement. komekn: The ARA is an MRAP it is absolutely not a light Armoured Vehicle. It's built on the truck chassis of the Tatra 4x4 Truck. Probably has a weight close too 20t.
Add to that it is not a IFV and cannot in circumstance be made into one.
It is not suited to search and destroy missions it's just too big and heavy. We are talking mobility and expedience and a more pro active response.
I did say the HERE & NOW we don't have the time to wait to have local manufacture.
What we are seeing is decades of misappropriation and disinvestment in the Nigerian armed forces.
Serious countries when they buy hardware they buy in 100's not in units of 10. That's simply not going to make any impact on the war in the NE.
We could buy into the USA the Excess Defense Articles Grant Program. Egypt was able to get 1000 MRAP you know how much they paid $0000.
This is why government pay lobbyists to get things done. This is how you play the game particularly if it looks good that Trump is fighting terrorism by giving equipment to Nigeria.
Bit if you can't get it from the USA you can get surplus equipment from Germany Russia etc at fraction of the full cost. With regards to Germany that includes the IFV Marder, the APC TPZ Fuchs which are surplus to Germany armed forces but would be very effective for the NA.
What the NA needs most is LAV's and APCS to end dependency on soft skinned suicide and up trucks and soldiers being carted to war in low loaders, dumpster trucks etc.
We need to up the game, optic sights and NVG should be close to standard. And yes we need to get a more modern assault rifle. By the 1978 camp David accord, Egypt is entitled to $1.3b worth of arms from the US, so Egypt doesn't need to pay for 1000 humvees & Mraps. That doesn't mean Nigeria can get the same deal. Nigeria managed to get 20 MRAPS from their scrap yard. |

FieldMarshall06: See the nonsense you wrote to justify cowardise. Lol.
"One French amphibious operation will unite Nigerian troops with their ancestors". France to "occupy deep into Calabar" and Nigeria will not launch a counter-offensive. Israel holds on to foreign lands while Nigeria is forced out of its own land, and Israel is justified. Lol.
You didn't tell us ''why Cameroun took the legal route''. They did after they suffered heavy casualty at the hands of Nigerian troops. Nigerian army launched an attack 24km deep into Cameroun and wasted thousands of their troops watching football match. Their reprisal was met with longe range artillery from Nigerian army and naval attacks. It became clear to them that they stood no chance in war with Nigeria.
If Nigeria did not hanover, what would France have done? Attack Nigeria? You are dumb.
Nigerian troops occupied 3 out of 4 stretches of the Bakassi. Fully defended by military positions and air defences. France would lose thousands of lives to attack and remove Nigerian troops from their positions on the 3 occupied islands. Not worth it for France and their business interest in Nigeria.
And regardless of French support, Nigeria would annihilate Cameroun. In fact, we would annex Cameroun within 1month. President Paul Biya knew that. Nigerian army would overrun Cameroun in any war. Their entire army was just less than 10,000 troops then. France or no France, Cameroun cannot fight Nigeria.
So stop defending cowardise. France or no France, Nations don't surrender their lands. Stop being a coward. This kind of 'surrender mentality' of fear is prevalent in 'that side'. Stop it.
Vietnam fought France and expelled them from their land. Almighty US came to France's aid, yet Vietnam fought and pounded them. If Vietnanese had your mentality, they ''stood no chance''.
Cowardise and fear are endemic in your genetic makeup. This is well known. Your entire thinking is based on fear.
Stop it. Stop being a coward. Stop justifying surrendering your land for fear of France. No nation does that. Sorry, I don't discuss serious events with teenagers, 20yrs into the future, you won't believe you wrote something this ridiculous. |

FieldMarshall06: https://punchng.com/ceding-bakassi-cameroon-saved-nigeria-major-war-ajibola-former-world-court-judge/?amp=1
I read this interview many years ago when coward Ajibola granted it... and I was disgusted.
Obasanjo goofed big time... war or no war, Nigeria should never have handed Bakassi to Cameroun. Despite world judgements, Israel has refused to release occipied territories it captured in wars. No nation would send their troops to fight for Cameroon.
Gens. Abacha or IBB would never have surrendered Bakassi like that. It is shameful when a full grown man touts "surrendering" your land because of fear of war. Very stupid and shameless man called Ajibola. Like Gens. Diya and Adisa. Shamelessness and cowardise runs deep from that side You have spoken like a Child, Nigeria lost Bakassi but retained a deeper continental shelf, & a broader EEZ, there is no proven oil reserve of commercial quantity in the Peninsula so to what end are we fighting over a stretch of land into the ocean?
The greentree agreement requires the people are not evicted, sadly, Cameroon breached that agreement else those guys would've settled peacefully.
Speaking of military occupation by Abacha, that's an irresponsible reference point. Abacha's strong man posture was no match for France in a proxy war, a nuclear power and a permanent UNSC member means France will win both militarily & diplomatically. I laughed hard when you claimed nobody will fight for Cameroon, that's a very ignorant statement.
Cameroon in1961 did not sign any declaration of independence but pacté coloniele agreement in it France has offer of first refusal on all Cameroonian EEZ in exchange for security. The only thing France needed was for Total SA to prove the Peninsula had oil in commercial quantity, in partnership with Porenco in 1993, the Seismic report was not impressive. Under French advisory, Cameroon took the legal route.
If the Seismic data of that peninsular turned out positive, one French Amphibious operation will re-unite all Abacha soldiers with their creators, according to British intelligence at the time, France had no plans of occupying Bakassi alone but deep into cross river state down to Odukpani in the north, then occupy deep into the Atlantic ocean in the South.
The reason is to make it difficult for Nigeria to launch a reprisal, that will force Nigeria to go the diplomatic route and France with her veto at the UNSC will own cross river state forever. Such was the tragedy OBJ averted. There was no front of that war Nigeria would've won. This scenario would've played out again if OBJ didn't hand over, France will act under the pretext of enforcing intl law.
The precarious position Nigeria was at the time can not be compared with Israel from the 6 days war to the Yom-kippor war. This is largely because Israel at the time won those countries militarily before occupying their lands, diplomatically, Britain & US had Israel's back at the UNSC. Conversely, Abacha was a diplomatic mess, from 1995 was under Commonwealth sanctions, UN was already preparing an embargo before his fortunante demise, consequently, you don't think Abacha will win France militarily in a proxy war. The situations were different for Israel & Nigeria, nothing to compare.
Speaking of Israel, 38yrs after the Camp david accord of 1978 which moulded Egypt into a formidable military might, Israel lost the military advantage or at best was in a position where a military offensive with Egypt has become costly, quickly handed over the Sainai to Egypt.
Dont think for once Israel will occupy Golan heights if Syria was a formidable force with Russian diplomatic backing.

BabaOwen: Nigeria may lose 24 councils to new UN state
‘Obasanjo, Biya ceded territories in 2003’
By July 10 this year, Nigeria may lose 24 local councils, by way of ceding, to a new country to be known as United Nations Organisation (UNO) State of Cameroon at its borders with la Republique du Cameroun.
The Guardian learnt that the withdrawal of his country’s soldiers by President Paul Biya from the southern part of the planned UNO State of Cameroon has set the stage for the creation of the new state being spearheaded by the UN.
The withdrawal of troops by Biya was formally demanded by the former President of the United Nations General Assembly, Ali A. Treki on May 20, 2020. This was disclosed in a May 26, 2020 letter of the UNO State of Cameroon to Prof. Martins Chia Ateh, the United Nations-appointed workshops coordinator in Cameroon and Nigeria.
Ateh said in the letter: “Greetings and thank you very much for the attached list of those who were detained in the Nkambe prison of Cameroon in August 2008.
“It is only now that the soldiers of la Republique du Cameroun are being withdrawn from the southern part of UNO State of Cameroon.” He said it was a good thing Treki kept the records straight.
On UN’s creation of a new country in Africa, Ateh said: “I should be getting back to you once the United Nations finishes with an official announcement on the existence of UNO State of Cameroon to the international community.”
While conceiving the new state, the former UN Secretary-General, Kofi Annan invited former President Olusegun Obasanjo of Nigeria and Biya of Cameroon to sign documents respecting their countries’ international boundaries.
It was learnt that Obasanjo and Biya signed the documents in March 2003 to cede their twin territories (Northern and Southern Cameroons) to the proposed UNO new country in West and Central Africa.
The UN, according to recent reports, pledged to actualize a new State of Cameroon on July 10, 2020.
Residents of Southern Cameroon were excited over the merger of their land with Northern Cameroon in Nigeria, comprising 24 local government areas in Borno (five), Adamawa (12) and Taraba (seven) states.
The Guardian learnt that the Southern Cameroon residents have since last year during their agitations to separate tagged the UNO State of Cameroon as “Ambazonia.”
In Nigeria, the new country’s landmass extends from Bakassi Peninsula in Cross River State to Ngala Local Government Area of Borno State in the Lake Chad region.
While responding to ceding five local government areas from Borno State, an aide to Governor Babagana Zulum said: “We’ll study the recent unfolding developments on ceding Bama, Gwoza, Dikwa, Kala/Balge and Ngala councils to the UNO State of Cameroon.
“The state government will also be liaising with federal agencies on how to cede the affected local government areas as Obasanjo and Biya had signed documents with the UN to respect their international boundaries.”
According to the UN workshop coordinator and chairman, steering committee, Ateh, the councils to be ceded to UNO State of Cameroon, include Bama, Gwoza, Ngala, Kala/Balge, Dikwa. Others include Madagali, Michika, Mubi North, Mubi South, Mayo/Belwa, Toungo, Ganye, Serti, Hong, Jada, Maiha and Jada councils.
It was learnt that before the announcement of the new state, the UN had kept Northern and Southern Cameroons under watch since Obasanjo and Biya signed the documents under the UN treaty.
Meanwhile, the Secretary-General of UN, Antonio Guterres has commenced the process of sensitization towards the July 10 date of creating the new state for the Anglophone separatists in Cameroon.
According to reports, Guterres has continuously reached out to the UNrepresentative in charge of the territories, Ateh to constantly organize sensitisation workshops on the brief history of the UNO State of Cameroon.
The UN is determined and constantly fingered as an interested party in the arrangement to actualize the new state.
The Nigerian government has been urged to carry out an investigation to establish the facts surrounding the ceding of 24 local government areas to create a new country.
According to Google Map, Nigeria, particularly in the Northeast region with a decade-long Boko Haram insurgency is sandwiched between its territory and Cameroon Republics, with Bakassi Peninsula and Lake Chad located south and northeast of the UNO State of Cameroon.
The new state will have a total landmass of 28, 214 square km with an estimated population of 20 million people. Last year’s 72-hour ultimatum given by the United States (U.S.) to Cameroon to withdraw its troops from la Republique du Cameroons was heeded by President Paul Biya last month.
Before the pullout, neither the U.S nor Cameroon had responded to the expiration date until Treki asked Biya to withdraw his troops.
The Speaker of the Cameroonian National Assembly, Cavage Yeguie Djibrilhad also asked the Cameroonian government to fully implement the new law on decentralization that seeks to grant greater power to local councils and regions.
Consequently, Biya signed the law on the promotion of official language in Cameroon, settlement law of the Republic of Cameroon for2020 financial year, last December.
The bill addresses the creation of assemblies of chiefs, regional assemblies and councils with each of the two territories having elected presidents, vice president, secretaries and public affairs management controllers.

bidexiii: That’s your conclusion or take and you’re far from been right. Like I said the military is not everyone, And who told you that the child of top military men do not go to the war front. Guys like you just like to talk rubbish, they didn’t come to your house to come and join the military. Let me give you a typical example of a General whose son was in the frontline; Maj Gen Victor Okwudili Ezugwu when he was the acting G.O.C div 7 his son was in the north east frontlines and I know couple of prominent Nigerians whose sons where serving in the north east, so stop spitting trash of what you don’t know. Obasanjo's son was wounded at the onset of this war. |

bidex111: I love the answers distinguished mates made in response of your question but I have another slight angle or view to your comments. France and Turkey are just emerging modern day super powers trying to flex their muscles, we can say France was once a dominant force in part of Northern Africa but they can’t try building there bases there now. They can only flex there muscles in some poor Western Africa economies, Ghana is a small country but a better economy without the presence of Western or European military there ?
I once heard Ghana and the United States, had a proposal which was controversial due to some concerns (raised primarily by Ghana's National Democratic Congress party) that the agreement would offer undue privileges to the United States, including a particularly controversial section allowing the construction of a United States military base in Ghana. Ghana's President Nana Akufo-Addo, has denied the agreement includes permission to build a military base in Ghana. The British on the other hand does not have the financial/military capabilities to waste money around building military bases around just any how. And even France are not there to help this countries to fight terrorism 100% but for there own strategic self interest. My conclusion is that France can only flex it’s muscles in this poor African countries like Chad, Mali, Niger etc. Britain like US operate several military bases in 15 countries & occupied territories including Kenya & Singapore. I think he is asking about having military stranglehold over commonwealth nations |
