Competitive or not, I am glad I am getting jobs particularly this time exchange rate is in 'our favor'.
I just suggest that you stick to what works for you, period.

Yesterday, I sent three book samples to an Upwork client, 24 hours later, no response.
I kept a Freelancer client waiting for 5 hours today because I wanted to sleep. I just sealed a $155 deal with him now.

I'm staying put there.

I checked with aboki today and he offered 300/dollar, i know i could have bargained for more. the best option to maximize our earnings is using Dorm account. at Upwork they charge $30, so if you are collecting up to $200, its actually much better to use a dorm account

I will solve that domiciliary account problem next week.
I would have started the process today but I just couldn't make it to the bank.

You asked me if I could write an article for you, I IMMEDIATELY replied as soon as I saw the message on this thread and emailed you privately.Till today, you did not acknowledge my reply or even respond to my comment on this thread.

There is a lady who manages a similar thread on Freelancer.com. I have never had cause to write her and not receive a reply. Even when she is busy, she will apologize and eventually reply.

I found your thread because things have been a bit slow on Freelancer and I wanted to explore other avenues but I found your action(s) very snobbish. Maybe you did not do it intentionally or it was an oversight but trust me when I say it is very demeaning to treat someone that way.

I've spoken my mind and I rest my case.

LOL...The first day i tried withdrawing from him, he told me 190# to a dollar when some people had already started exchanging for 210, i calmly told him i will contact him back. I think the competition is high this days and someone with the highest rate will always have the day.

After complaining here, he told me to get in touch.
I did and asked him his rate.
He told me N200. The very next person. meetmal03 gave me N235.
Finally, Coderxo ended up doing me a favor as a friend and purchased it from me for almost N280.
I'm done with Hisenjos even if Dollar will equal Naira.

Next time, use Fidelity bank.. Their rate is within 192-193/$1 and sometimes N200. I run from those popular banks. Also, you can download Payoneer Android app, and change it to naira view to check the amount you have in local currency.

I just shot myself in the foot wallahi.
Fidelity was only a one minute walk away from the GT Bank I withdrew money from.
I wont be making the same mistake next time.

If your people in Canada or us have PayPal account, transfer from your Freelancer to their PayPal. Negotiate exchange rate with them and they will transfer the Naira equivalent to your Naira account.
On the other hand, discuss with hisenjos here on Nairaland. He has a PayPal account and many of us have used him for withdrawals. Discuss the rates with him.

My problem with Hisenjos when I wanted to use his services last year was that the rates he offered me were not too different from Payoneer's (and this is not to disrespect him).

However, it seems a good number of people here use his services so I will try again next time and hope he can offer something better.

You can work on freelancer and making your withdrawals even without having any payoneer card. There are many ways of withdrawing your money through freelancer. I don't even have a payoneer card but i make my withdrawals through freelancer/payoneer bank transfer option. So you can comfortably register and work on your way on how to succeed on the site. Good luck!

Please can you explain if you transfer your earnings to a Nigerian Naira account/ Nigerian Dom Account or a Foreign Account?
I am getting disillusioned by Payoneer's rates and I need an alternative form of payment.

Hi this is a question for everyone that works on Freelancer.com and uses Payoneer.

Have you been noticing any decrease in the cash you can withdraw recently? I withdrew $250 three days ago and received only N40,000. I need serious advice on how to maximize my earnings because at this rate, I think I am losing a great deal of income particularly with foreign exchange rates soaring.

I need to ask two questions:

a) Can you withdraw directly from Freelancer into a domiciliary account opened in a Nigerian bank? Because if yes, I can consider opening a dom account. I might know people who might be able to give me Naira in exchange for dollar.

b) Can you withdraw directly from Freelancer into a US or Canadian account that is not in your name? Because if yes, I have people in the US and Canada who can collect dollar and give me the true Naira equivalent.

If you have used any other method, please advice me. I am not a greedy person and I am very grateful we even have Payoneer but I think it would be wise to explore other profitable ways of optimizing our income. I believe this topic will help everyone on this thread.

Hello everyone. The answers I read here are very helpful but please, I do not want to throw money down the drain so I need advice.

Is there anyone who knows whether Swift/Spectranet/Smile is best for someone living towards VGC/Ajah?

I want to go for Spectranet because of the offer they have on free GB if you purchase a modem and the fact that they offer rollover but I do not know their network coverage and the nearest office seems to be in VI.

I know one or two people towards this access who are using Swift (which has an office at Igbo Efon) but they are not heavy internet users and they are fine with what they are getting.

I use Visafone 10GB N6,000 but I have noticed they 'chop' my money every two weeks. It's no longer convenient for me. Please help your sister with info.

1. The budget of the employer
2. The bid of other freelancers
3. The topic or subject matter of the e-book etc.

There is no fixed price for 10,000 or 15,000 word e-book. Generally, you can charge around $150 - $250. Some employers may pay higher than that. But that is the range. If you are on preferred freelancer's program, you can get employers who will be willing to pay double that amount and even more for the same word count.
