mayorchelsea:
I already imagined how congested that training venue will look like if the proposed January 8th batch were to meet the current batch in there with regards to accommodation in particular. Let's just hope there won't be any further postponement or shock and we won't be thirty years of age by the time we'll resume.
I think I quite understand FBN's position on this especially with the accommodation issue. Its very likely that this set needs to pass out before taking in a new batch. The motive is very okay but my issue is the timing, weren't this challenges forecasted or seen early enough? This is about peoples lives we taking about here. This can be demoralizing and devastating. God help us.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Why Access Bank Still Remain The Best Bank To Work In Nigeria by juddexy2(m): 6:13am On Dec 28, 2017
Targets everywhere in Access, compulsory bonds, compulsory storming..even this recruitment is based on targets. Access bank is the highest paying bank but mehn what's the use of the money when your peace of mind ain't very stable. I think First bank and GTbank are top leading banks to work for in Nigeria currently.

Cloud9usher I doff my hat for your crisp and succinct play of words, all coming out in the right context and not out of place. Being a lover of words myself I just upgraded my vocabulary from your comment.

I hope you have a good diction as well? Listening to a man with some eloquent diction and robust vocabulary makes me weak to the knells, butterflies in my stomach, Lol, silly me. Talk about coming home from a stressful day at work and meeting such a man talk to you is every ladies' dream. Don't mind my rhetoric though, I'm just 'freestyling' here.

Now to the issue at hand, Iganmu is going fine so far, but I know the stress is coming, my former job was a learn on the job thing so this is my first time being in a training school, I'm just saying to myself things would go smoothly, and I hope so.

The food here is great! Should I say that again? THE FOOD IS GREAT!!!

I thought the guys who made it to Iganmu would be so serious minded, but its just day 3 and these dudes are already directly or indirectly 'toasting' girls like we came for Big brother Africa show or something, smiley Lol. Its fun here at the moment though. Making friends and all.

More updates as things unfold.
scented, you just went on low key after the AC. If you were to be a guy, you for dey use all these lines gather them babes..lol enjoy the fun now. Any likely date next year you guys would be rounding off?

The different TS dates for trainees, no doubt, will put to rest a lot of tension.Congrats to you all TS guys.I had said earlier in my post, that is the way to go.

For the AC hopefuls,is there anyone in the house who knows when AC hopefuls will be called?.I think if AC hopefuls can have their dates sent to them the way done for TS guys,it will as well go along way in easing tension for AC hopefuls too.Am sure a lot AC awaitees will be getting disillusioned by now.

Relatedly also, regret mails to those who have not made it at whatever stage will ease tension too,as such persons will move on with peace of mind, instead of waiting endlessly, and not sure of what will eventually happen.

Please,FBN HRs viewing this thread, kindly do something to ease tension for AC guys.Reason being that:
(1)It will ease tension.(2)It will give those coming from outside Lagos ample time to prepare financially.(3)It will put FBN as an organization in a good light,as being humane.etc.

If there is any organization I have always prayed to work in,it is FBN.FBN, please don't dash that hope and dream.
I agree with you Bro, it would ease a lot of tension. However, please do not limit your search light/dream to FBN only, there are still good and better offers/opportunity out there!

well , they pay more , they are more upbeat U get car loan. And they are both banks. Their conditions are tough though, gats bring someone to deposit 2million or so. But yeah, if u get it ... you are made. And where ever you are , good, u can always get a better offer. (Money is important in Nigeria. #fact)
you think money is more important than Peace of Mind? Access is unduly aggressive in an effort to win customers over their side.

i swear down.... very annoying. with that rubbish 43k they want to give. Please who knows final pay after documentation?
the issue is not the 43k. Other banks pay about same amount during training school. Its like a stipend , not salary ..its the coordination that z not so good!
Jobs/VacanciesRe: 2016 Firstbank Graduate Trainee Programme by juddexy2(m): 9:25am On Oct 21, 2017
This whole thing is even looking like a disaster now. Even after getting the TS mail, one may not be sure its the final invite, you might even be called upon again to disregard the email....these guys aren't coordinated. Besides kchris and iambraham, who did documentation and medicals in August and have been called for T.S? From the little statistics here which may not be reliable 60% of people who did documentations in August are still awaiting TS mails

One of the worst things that would happen would be after resigning from your current place for TS and FBN later sends you another mail telling you to wait for further directives bfr resumption.#kuku kee me grin ...lool

They sent another mail to other candidates just yesterday to come for documentations and medicals today. I just tire!

The course taken ranges from banking, general knowledge, elements of accounting, abstracts etc you would be shared into groups to work on various projects with deadlines. Tests are written almost on regular basis

Well, for those interested in ministry of the stomach at TS, I learnt its not gonna be a problem, you would be adequately catered for... Next Monday should be the 4th week of training. If you got friends in TS, call them and let's hear their views and update. Let's keep the thread running. For chaps saying here is boring, do well to spark it up.

My fellow guys awaiting AC, HCP still got hopefuls on their database and would be calling up soon..

Well-done Mayorchelsea, Bamibor , cloudpusher and others for keeping the thread alive. Just be assured I'm gonna find you guys in TS.

I think Baru can defend his deeds , Kachikwu isn't the minister of petroleum, Baru can report to the President directly, However Kachikwu strongest point may be flouting the board approval process.

https://dailypost.ng/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/image69.jpg

Senator from Rivers State, Lee Maeba has berated the Minister of State for Petroleum, Ibe Kachikwu over his allegation against the Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, Maikanti Baru.

Kachikwu, in a letter to President Muhammadu Buhari, had accused Baru of insubordination, among other things.

In his reaction, Maeba faulted the decision of the Minister to petition the president.

Maeba described the Minister’s action as an act of extreme behaviour.

The lawmaker said Kachikwu should have explored all measures available before writing a letter.

He told Vanguard, “I believe the behaviour of Kachikwu is to the extreme.

“He should have shown maturity, he could have as well issued a query to the GMD before finally using the option of writing the President.

” I strongly believe a minister should not have acted the way he did.”

PoliticsProfessor, Two Others Get 120 Years Jail Over N177 Million Fraud by juddexy2(op): 10:57am On Oct 04, 2017
The Federal High Court sitting in Ibadan, Oyo State has handed a 120-year imprisonment without option of fine to a professor of Plant Reading and former Executive Director, Institute of Agricultural Research and Training (IAR&T), Ibadan, Benjamin Ogunmodede along with two others for diverting N177 million meant for salaries and projects.

Sentenced with Ogunmodede are Zackeus Tejumola and Adenekan Clement who were chief accountant and employee during his tenure.

The trio were charged on a 16-count-charge bordering on conspiracy, unlawful conversion and stealing of the institute’s subventions.

The Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) had in 2014 arraigned the accused for diverting N177 million of the N600 million received as subventions from the Federal Government to pay salaries and execute projects at the school.

Justice Ayo Emmanuel, who delivered the judgment, said the 40 years each for the trio would run concurrently. He said the accused persons confessed to have induced the releases.

The judge ruled that bribery and money laundry were punishable offences under the law, adding that the punishment was to serve as deterrent to those who might be contemplating on mismanaging public funds and rehabilitation platform for the accused.

Counsel to the anti-graft agency, Nkereuwem Anana, said the ruling affirmed that the country was still consistent to taming corruption in the land.

But counsel to Ogunmodede, Tunde Olupona, though admitted that the judgment was very fair to all parties, he, however, noted that the legal team would review the verdict.
